Doon Valley Indian Takeaway in Dudley

I thought about whether to write this it's in my village and I'd like to see local businesses thrive but if this is the standard I doubt it will be around much longer . It took an age (we collected) which is ok. There was a dish with chicken and beef mince I don't recall ordering it, proper salty. They have previous for incorrect dishes its literally a lottery when you go to plate up the order. One dish historically they've done well is the chilli chicken , alas this was poor , we had the lentil dish which reminded me of the squits. The chicken chettinand was bang average. There was a distinct lack of flavour in all the dishes I don't usually order a tikka massala and wish I hadn't the sauce was runny like a soup. The chicken tikka was ok there was little paneer as advertised. On a positive note the containers were good quality and we left most of it so I don't feel guilty for over eating . Sort the chefs out ASAP ...

I tried to order food recently for mine and my partners anniversary. The receptionist was incredibly rude… stating we had to pay over the phone even though my partner was driving the car and I had no access to my bank card we stated we would pay on arrival and they refused. Later stated what if I wanted to pay cash his answer was “nah not for a phone order” I asked to speak to a manger again he also refused. Also on previous visit food has been missing. 0 customer service, shocking attitude would not recommend!

It used to be great, but quality has gone down hill. Last time we ordered we ordered half a tandoori chicken and it arrived raw, when I say raw....I mean raw, it literally was just cooked on the outside, it completely ruined the meal for me. We deceided to give them another shot last night, it took a long time to arrive and was very average...definitely not worth £34 for 2 people. We ordered and paid for popadoms and they sent no salad or sauce. I raved about Doon Valley when it first opened...the quality and portion size was exceptional but now it is very average and I wont be recommending them anymore and will be looking for somewhere else to order my currys from!

I guess it's a sign of the times that a takeaway that would have cost £20 two years ago, is now £30. This being the case, I have to cut down on my weekly curry and consequently expect it to be above average when I do buy one. Sadly this is not the case here. Portion size us good but the quality is decidedly run of the mill. Aloo Sag is a green soup with a few bits of potato. Jalfrezi had one small chilli and was not remotely hot. Even using the discount code this is still a very expensive takeaway for what you get. All other reviews before this one are five stars, perhaps I chose an off night. I hope so.

We had we had six separate dishes with sides, breads and poppadum's It was a family get together for my seventieth birthday. I have no complaints as there was ample food deliciously cooked. Everyone enjoyed the meal and is looking forward to the next time. Brilliant, with exceptional service. Namaste.

It’s a takeaway but beats all Indian restaurants I have eaten at in terms of flavours. Delicious. Definitely the best in Wiltshire. There has not been a case of any dish being just ok or bad. Delivery service up to 4 miles is also free. There is a discount on collections. What’s not to like?! Try if you have not, whether you are passing by or live not far from Wroughton.

Always excellent food. I wouldn't have an indian take away from anywhere else. Friendly staff. Would eat from here every night if I could afford it.

We ordered a takeaway from Doon Valley as a new years eve treat, and we expected it to be a popular choice so ordered ahead. We did have to wait a while, however when ready the food was delicious, beautifully prepared and very generous as always. The staff were incredibly patient and helpful (on what was obviously a very busy night), even though I'm sorry to say the other customers were not. Thank you!

Doon Valley delivered food for 10 people to my business. It was on time, hot and delicious! Everyone commented on how good it was - delighted to have such a good curry so near to my works - will be going again!!!

Compared to other Swindon Indian takeaways, Doon Valley is outstanding in the quality of the meats, the flavours and the quantity of food. A little pricier than some, but well worth it. If they had the space for a top class restaurant, in the right location, it would do very well.

Best Indian food ever. Had the Doon special mix veg platter, chicken Dhansak and Bhuna with mushroom rice. All excellent, hot and delivered quickly.

Their food is excellent, we always enjoy it, the flavours are really good and it's lighter than many Indian food options. Easy and quick to order on the website and delivery is brilliant too, always within the time they say it will be.
