Don't You Know I'm Loco in Newcastle upon Tyne

First time ordering, we got the large meal deal for two, said it would take 1 hour max, 2 and a bit hours later it turned up, £33.00 for 2 burritos and 1 bag of small fries. Ended up putting the burritos in the bin as we did not enjoy them at all, meat was too chewy and the beef tasted like aniseed. Would not be rushing back anytime soon.

Ordered the beef fajita. The smell of the wrap was lovely and I opted for extra peppers and onions. After getting home I quickly tucked in and found the meat in the wrap was very dry. There was no sauce and the sauce I opted for was sucked up by the dry meat. I quickly found that my wrap had no onions or peppers in. in the meal deal for 2 only includes one portion of chips which was disappointing. wouldn't rush back

Visited the Maxim Brewery on Friday night, the van was there to serve food for the occasion. I got a burrito, very very tasty! Don’t think they could’ve filled it any more. So very good portion. Left feeling very satisfied. Friendly staff. Quick service, I will visit the shop next time I’m in Sunderland

poor hygiene eg sucking fingers then picking you food up with the same hand without washing or anything overall food was very disappointing cheese sauce was stone cold, don’t recommend this place at all especially if u don’t want other peoples saliva in your food absolutely disgraceful 😡

the foods alright, i feel like it only has such good reviews cause their isn’t much competition local. it feels pretty over priced, i’ve been to mexican places elsewhere that do larger portions and are better tasting for literally half the price

Amazing value for money. Super tasty food which you can tell is fresh and made to order. 100% recommend the burritos

…..can be a wonderful or not so wonderful thing. We’d heard of ‘don’t you know I’m loco’ via our eldest son who raved about it (and he’s normally reserved) and ourselves as a family, our daughter and family and son and his family had booked in advance to put our orders in for last Friday at its travelling van. (It is best to order in advance as he’s getting more popular. Unfortunately he had to cancel due to the high winds and we were genuinely disappointed as we’d been looking forward so much to it. He advertises On his Facebook page where you find out where his van will be, different towns in the North East, so we found out he was in our town and ordered 1 chicken fajita, one beef burrito, along with the dirty fries. I was asked if I wanted cheese sauce and in hindsight wish I’d said yes, but the meal wasn’t spoiled in any way. It was great!! So tasty and enough for two. Lots of other things to think about ordering on our next visit. If you like tasty food, track the van down, fully worth a try and not expensive.
