Dong Sing in Sefton

Nice little chippy, family run business. Friendly prices, welcoming and helpful staff! I tried the veggie spring rolls, salt and pepper dishes and crispy beef with Cantonese sauce. They were all tasty, good quality. Never had any issues. Also, their chicken- sweetcorn soup is nice (for me without the chicken)… Parking is easy around. I only gave 3 🌟 for the atmosphere because all the time the door is open and freezing cold while waiting for the food to get done.

I've been a regular customer here for years and never had any problems. Nice friendly staff, food taste good. BUT over the last few weeks the chip portions have roughly halved in size and the price has remained the same, also the savoury cakes have got smaller but price has stayed the same. Unfortunately at this moment I would not recommend this take away, until they fix the portion sizes.

Absolutely Disgusting this place food and customer service I rang up and ordered a portion of chips and fried rice and salt and pepper crispy chicken fillet the most simple meal for collection and they didn’t even put the fried rice in the bag 3 items ordered how can ye forget 1 of 3 things oh and they have got the teenage daughter cooking and she can’t cook chips never mind anything else the chips wasn’t even cooked hard in middle and pale as and the crispy chicken was the scabbiest portion ever with raw onions grease bound and cold I had had to send my daughter back for my fried rice even though when I opened bag to see no rice and rang then up immediately they was arguing with me for 5 mins saying they had give me the Fried rice terrible attitude on the daughter and mother erm NO YOU NEVER!!!! ruined my meal no rice and cold greasy food and the food was vile. Wouldnt recommend this chippy to Anyone AVOID it’s worst now than the last owners 🤢 pic doesn’t lie

Impressed with the quality and quantity of the dish. I ordered Singapore vermicelli for no salt, but the taste still good, I like it! Friendly staff and just call for pickup, quick and convenient. Will try another dish again.

food bland & chicken not char sui in hot & sour soup no flavour at all use to love this place but unfortunately won’t be going bk 🥲

Haven't been in here for ages but it's under new management and the savoury cakes were absolutely amazing, will definitely be back for more of those!

When here for the first time and asked for one of their dishes to be made vegetarian. They did this and its the best takeaway I've ever had! So tasty and full of veg and flavour. I asked for a Beef Mushroom without the beef and just lots of veg and they made it perfectly. Portions are very generous too, one meal can feed 2 or 3 people. Very happy customer who will be back :-)

It was great. I came outside and there was Midge Ure. He was my hero and I cried with happiness as we both sang Dong Sing with tears in my eyes. I can't wait to go back and experience the scrumptious food. My life is complete. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
