Welcoming atmosphere and pleasant but very slow service.. order took ages as had to keep going back to ask for missed items. Food was tasty but very little meat so probably wouldn't go again based on the above

Ordered via Uber eats for delivery on 16/08/2024 I would say the waffle fries portion at the price of £2.95 is not value for money, however they are tasty The Dönermite fries if had been upgraded to waffle fries would have been excellent but standard chips in base, however choosing the mixed meats was a good choice and the condiments used complimented the flavour Would recommend m, especially when offers are available ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I never write reviews but I had to after my recent order. The food was delivered in 15 mins! Came hot. Portion was perfect. Some reviews on here complaining about not enough meat well I'll let my picture speak for itself. Every part of the wrap was delicious. I almost let the bad reviews deter me but I'm really glad they didn't.

Went there with my family, place is clean, service was excellent not to mention the food was great! Definitely worth the visit.

I recently visited Döner & Gyros in Bury and had a generally pleasant experience. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. The food was served nicely and the kebab itself was enjoyable. However, for the price paid, I found the portions to be on the smaller side, with a bit too much salad compared to the meat. While it was a nice kebab, the portion size might deter me from returning. Overall, a mixed experience.

I ordered out so can't comment on the actual place but I ordered the Berlin doner and it took me back to being in Berlin for 2 years! It was phenomenal and I would recommend to everyone and will not order from anywhere else in the future. Fantastic

Food is great and service is quick. The restaurant interior is modern, stylish and clean. I can't think of any other place in Bury that offers what Donor and Gyros offers. Edit: I have noticed that portion sizes have dropped in recent visits and this has affected my review score.

By far the most incompetent service I have ever received, esecially for a newish takeaway. My second visit and only half my order when I get it home but still paid for items their on BOTH OCCASSIONS. Are you ripping customers off or are your staff just STUPID?? I could shave my dogs a*** and teach her to walk backwards, and then put an apron on her and she will still get my order better than your team in Bury? I probably won't use them a third time now but if I ever do, I will charge my grooming kit!

For a dine in fast food place this was lovely. Bought a doner meal and a gyros meal and it came to less than £20 and was MASSIVE. Really nice staff, loads of sides. Just a lovely place to get absolutely stuffed.

It's the first time I have ever given a 1 star review. I went for the berlin doner for 7.99, a few mouthfuls and it was gone. It comes served in half a pitta bread rather than a full one. Very little meat filling and although seasoned with a chilli sauce, was very dry. The smallest kebab I have ever seen at the most expensive price I have ever paid for a kebab.

walk in nice and warm.place having food ...it was cold outside..food was nice.. could do with more meat...service was ok.then a kitchen staff opened the front door....place was cold ..i closed the door. and 5 minutes later he's opened the door again.... don't like my food getting cold..and eating in the cold then another customer closed the door. then a staff open the door again..now the other customer not happy sitting in the cold draft..and close the door again..bit anoying

We ordered Chicken Donar platter with extra chicken meat and a Berlin Donar. Food was good amd hot but seems a bit expensive as compared to Original German Donar. But a very nice addition to halal food options at Bury the Rock.

I enjoy doner kebab and they gave me free big 6 spring rolls (was a bit too oily) as ordered for more than £20. The only one thing I asked for 1 mix meat doner and another chicken and got both mixed meet.

We ordered Doner Platter Beef and Berlin Dinner Beef, and a portion of chilli sauce they were prepared quite quickly, but upon tasting the beef it became apparent that it had been kept warm for hours, tasted dry ,chewy, and bland. The portion of chilli sauce that came was less than a teaspoon for 25p!! I don't usually write negative reviews,but felt I needed to warn others, not to waste their money, as it wasn't cheap either. You can clearly tell who has actuallly visited this establishment from the 1 star reviews and you can obviously tell which ones are the fake reviews with the 5 star ones. Would not feed a dog their food. The worst food we have ever attempted to eat. It all went in the bin. Absolutely rancid. I'll be surprised if this is still open in 6 months!

So me and my Fiancee post alot of reviews on Google and 99.9% of our reviews are positive and a true reflection of our honest opinions on our experiences. So Tonight*Christmas eve) we ordered 1x Beef Kebab with chips, 1x Chicken Kebab with Chips and 1x quesadilla with chips. I have to be honest the food was very bland, Tiny portions for the price you are paying, Restaurant/Take away was clean, Friendly staff and great service but honestly the portions are tiny with very little meat and just left us still feeling hungry. We won't be returning as honestly we can get better from local Kebab shops for a fraction of the price. Take away looks the part but honestly don't waste your time or your money. 1☆

Bury, avoid Doner & Gyro like a rogue jalapeño in your pocket! I ordered two Doner boxes online, promised a trio of sauces for some flavour fireworks. Instead, I got dry doner and fries and not a single sauce in sight. False advertising and major disappointment. Don't waste your taste buds and delivery fees on this flavourless fiasco. I even found pieces of wood in the food. Food was also over-priced. Half the box. Had the chicken grand wrap, tasted amazing, plenty in it and very filling. Hubby had beef Chicago gyro which he said was filling and the beef on the dynamite fries tastes amazing. Very clean, great friendly service and will definitely be returning.

Ordered x2 mixed donor with chips , counted 12 chips in one order and 15 in the other , food was stone cold , handful of meat and tasted bland all this for £30 (PLEASE AVOID) telephoned restaurant and was told to contact Uber (didn’t realise Uber cook and deliver)

Awful!! Found hairs in the food please do not waste your money

Bought 4 meals, I asked for no tomatoes on 2 of them as I’m allergic, all meals came with mashed up tomatoes. Bought through UberEats. What I could taste was ok but I will not be using again as they can’t be trusted to follow instructions.

The food, especially the chicken is out of this world. Any ammendments to the order was rectified easily with no issues or concerns. Fantastic customer service and the food is more than enough. Any more and I woulld be wasting it. The Gyros bread is so tasty and sweet, it's amazing I wanted more!!!! The sauce is something else, nice and spicy as required. 100% reccomend! The manager is amazing and very attentive to all needs. Cannot wait to revisit.

Highly recommended far better than todays local kebab shop. £8 gets you a Big Mac at McDonald’s which is completely unhealthy rubbish. £6-£8 gets you “guilt free street food” with portion sizes to match the reason you’d make your purchase if you wanted a full blown meal to fill you for hours on end you could just spend alot more and cook at your own home :)

Garbage! Be shut in 6 months after they fleece everyone they can for overpriced gyros that have about 90% salad 10% meat. Get yourselves down to Cheetham hill or Park Hill star for a decent kebab at half the cost.

Really wanted to like this place but it is like a German Doner Kebab from Wish, really overpriced, bread was soggy, portion size was small, would not recommend, definitely give Greek to you a try as someone said below and you will get a cheaper and far higher quality kebab.

Was really looking forward to trying this place. We had a takeaway last night cost us £48 and we were shocked even though the food was quite nice. I had two small pieces of donna meat and the portion of gyros was well below par. It was more like a starter my gyros platter I think you should remove the platter but You get more meat in a local kebab shop. Won’t be falling for this again

Disappointing portion sizes for what you pay. We ordered a Plain Berlin Donor and 2 Chicken Gyros with salad, and one with no sauce (sauce came on both). Very little meat on all kebab. Would try again if they sorted these problems out

I ordered on Friday night 15th September before the grand opening. I paid for a platter with extra meat, I feel sorry for anyone who got one and didn't get extra as they must have had virtually nothing! The portion size was abysmal considering I paid over £20 for one meal. Oh and I ordered a sprite and go a Lipton ice tea 🤢. I did try to call but no one answered unfortunately! I will say the actual food was nice but I won't be ordering again just because of what you got for your money.
