Firstly, the fastest I've EVER been served food in any restaurant I've ever been to (perhaps 4 minutes maximum for about 10 dishes!! On google we interpreted this eaterie opened at 730pm however it CLOSED 730pm, so perhaps they need to make this clearer. It's covered for the rain, good quality food, cheap and with good seating options both indoor and outdoor. We had some alcohol we brought separately and they didn't seem to mind. Great if fancying Asian cuisine!!

店名は完全に日本風ですが、中国人が経営しているようで、ラーメンは見た感じ、かなり中国寄りです。最初に注文してからテーブルに行く感じです。向かって左側の入口から入る必要があります。

Great freshly cooked food that appears on your table at amazing speed. I have no idea how they can produce such wonderful food so quickly. It’s always very popular and for good reasons.

I had heard very good things about this restaurant . I choose the beef brisket ramen. It was very tasty , hot , and had a good broth. The only thing that let it down was that a third of the brisket was gelatinous fat, so I felt a bit short changed ! Unfortunately it was a takeaway , and I was unable to mention this to the proprietors at the time.

As a ramen lover, I was really looking forward to trying this place out. When I got there I knew I had to order the duck ramen. Unfortunately I’m allergic to mushrooms and they were a component of the dish. I thought it wouldn’t be a problem as I assumed it was only a topping that could be easily removed. It was just a topping, I informed the person that was taking my order to please not add any mushrooms as I was allergic. I thought he had understood me well, as it was clear later, that was not the case. When my order came to me, I confirmed with the server once again about the mushrooms, he did not seem to understand english very well. But I thought I might be acting too paranoid, after all I had already specified about my allergy. The ramen was delicious, but the more I ate it the more it felt like there was something stuck in my throat… I thought it might be the chilli oil, as I love to add loads to my ramen. A few moments later I find the first mushroom in my dish… and then another… I called the person who brought me my food over and explained the situation. My inicial thought of him not understanding english very well was confirmed as he removed himself from the room and brought the person who took my order. He seemed annoyed when I retold him about not wanting any mushrooms, he took my dish when I asked if it could be replaced for a mushroom FREE one. No apology or recognition of his mistake that could have cost me my life. Eating a mushroom makes my throat close… I was pregnant at the time, which made the situation even more upsetting to me. I cannot in good faith recommend a place that does not take food allergies seriously, even tho, as much as I hate to admit it, it tasted lovely.

Inside the covered market - we came here hoping for a decent meal but to be honest it is extremely average. We had fried rice which was very lumpy and not well made. Katsu curry which again was very average and beef brisket noodle which was just ok. Variety is fine, but overall there are probably better places to eat.

Another asian street food opportunity in Oxford's Covered Market . The food was good quality with a selection of different Asian styles . There are tables but its really a street food type place and ambiance . The staff were friendly but there's no table ordering - go to the till / kitchen then your food is bought for you . Drinks are available but no glasses just cups .

Yeah, that was a decent fast lunch in the Japanese style. Not amazing, but objectively good. I shall have to return to try something else, as there were far too many good options!

I love this little place; yes its tiny and is in the busy covered market, but they are just so great in there and the food is amazing! Always used to take my little boy as the food options are great for little ones. Highlights always the Char Sui Pork Don, Salt and Pepper Chicken, any of the Gyoza and the Prawn Tempura Ramen. Can't wait until restrictions lift so we can go again - usually a treat for myself on Saturdays to people watch and eat.

The chefs are super kind and I would say it’s great value for money if you are very hungry. The portion is massive in my opinion so it suits hungry people ;) Basically, you will feel quite full. Also the location is great. The covered market is very central. I’ll come back again.

It was amazing. I order roast duck don and gyozas, they were incredible, and my partner order mix meat noodles, which she devoured. We will repeat.

Amazing food at a reasonable price. My wife is japanese and is quite picky with Asian restaurants, she was very pleased by Donburi Inn. Hands down the best Asian restaurant in Oxford in my opinion.

This is SUCH a good place, my favourite of all the Asian places on the Cowley Road. It’s super tasty, fresh ingredients. I really recommend the aubergine pot (mouthwatering), the dry green beans oh my god, any the handmade noodles are like nothing else, they are so so so good. If you just order those things you will have an amazing meal, plenty for two big eaters or three smaller eaters.

As a party of 2, we were seated in a 4 seater and then later had to share a table with strangers. This made it a bit awkward to eat, especially because of how cramped it was. Also, it was cash only which was a bit of a faff. But the food was good! I loved the glutinous chicken rice.
