Update: tried again after 11 months. The food was poor. However on complaint I received a full refund, so I have amended the service and score to reflect this. I will try again after a few months as these high throughput takeaways are going to make a mistake now and then. ‐---------- Older review: Two pizzas and 2 sides bought as a special offer. It arrived quickly. It's normally a safe bet, but these pizzas were really dry/overcooked and salty. I think they added some cheese, but it seemed almost absent - I think the worst I've had from Dominios. I've had co-op pizza with more cheese before and less salt. I even checked the order to make sure cheese was included. Sides were good, however. Times are hard, and we have to accept some drop in quality for the same price, but two cheeseless pizzas are not going to help. Especially when you want a treat.

The driver had a bit of difficulty finding the house as the map on his phone took him somewhere else but once we found eachother he was so lovely and apologetic, amazing service

Ordered my food I was told it would take 40 minutes called back after one hour. They said it was on its way an hour and 50 minutes later. When I called back they said I never ordered any food . They had taken my payment by card when I challenged the manager , none of them can speak. I enough English to sort the matter.

This store regularly makes small mistakes (always in their favour). The send out the pizza and the standard dip that is supposed to come with it is missing. Do they have spares in the delivery car? Nope! They say they'll get some but you don't see them again. You order a large dip and a small one comes. You phone up and have an incomprehensible conversation in which you say you'd like a replacement or a refund... neither happens. The error is always small enough so that pursuing it is too much of a pain, but repeated instances of this really add up to a bad feeling. There is competition in Harpenden which is far better. I think I'll just go there in future.

Don't order delivery service if you're hungry as it's a bit of a wait. Obvs need more drivers, confirmed by the delivery guy. All in all they took over an hour to arrive but the pizzas were good as usual.

Pizza was dry, Cookies tasted it like cleaning detergent, Not nice atall

If I could give no stars then I would. Waited 2 hours for my delivery, on calling they either didn’t answer or cut me off, 13 times until I got through to be told driver was coming, by the time it got to me it was stone cold. Service is appalling and they don’t care. Will never use them again.

Never ever having a pizza from the branch again. It’s taken more than 1hr half and the refund policy takes 5 working days and most of the time they don’t refund. Terrible service

Pizza tracker is often off, but that's not the store's fault half the time. When collecting, staff are attentive, service is a bit slow though (not much can be done I suppose)

My food was out for delivery for ages and I called and I did not get the best customer service..not concerned or apologetic. I’ve had issues in the past and let it go but I felt I should post today. Presumably the food will be decent when it arrives but if you’re looking for reliability, probably not the one.

Gorgeous cheeseburger pizza, definitely best one ever I taste, definitely coming back for more.

£14.99 deal, 1 medium pizza, 1 side and one 500ml bottle of coke (small bottle). I ordered pizza for lunch today. Pizza arrived well before I ordered, well prepared and well cooked. Can’t fault them, full belly and no complaints.

As a one handed customer having to carry my pizza vertically in it box the server should of suggested they cut my pizza in pieces a f stacked the pizza one on top of the other and offered me an alternative box When I arrived home the entire pizza had slid to the bottom of the box! I will have to think of another solution as the server did not make any suggestions and he could see my predicament Mever any pizza again. Also a chair should be provided for the elderly and infirmwilwaiting at social distancing measures

Pizza is always on time and tasty. Although stick to the pizza, the other items are a bit dodgy. The garlic pizza starter is a winner.

The delivery man seyed was very good. He had very good communication and was very nice.

Harpenden store is a disgrace to the Domino’s brand. Never had so many problems with a store as this one. Orders are regularly late; items missing (usually a drink); food is hit and miss with being hot or cold; food quality while better in recent months is usually poor compared to other stores; often no one picks up the phone so have to ring several times; app says food is delivered when not; last order ruined upon delivery and when spoke with store no apology and told either refund or wait an hour. Whole experience is applying. Avoid avoid avoid.

Store is a disgrace. Never known any store to provide such poor customer service and quality food. Would avoid at all costs if you can. Been performing poorly for a long time now and while constructive feedback has been provided nothing changes or improves. Just don’t seem to care.

food is always late, they lie to you on the phone that he food is being delivered when it clearly isnt. We waited over 90 minutes found as item missing was the final straw ... The customer service is simply non existant. the quicker they close this branch the better and we can start getting our deliveries from Hemel again, (which is fabulous... hot food, bigger menu, always within 30 minutes even though its further way!)

Had to wait a while to be served, We was told our order was not ready when it said it was on the screen, when we got it the Wedges & strippers were cold as they had been sitting there for ages as when other people in front of us or delivery orders they took the ones off the top instead of the bottom. I dont know when Hawaiian Pizza consisted of Mushrooms, as a Trained Chef I thought it was only Ham & Pineapple & I am sure that is what it says on the Menu. I asked for a receipt twice & still never got it. A gentleman in front of us ordered & he went out with someone else's Pizza as they did not know who was who. I am not going to be visiting anytime soon as they could not organize it very well.

Never order from here again hour and half later had to phone up to cancel as wasnt waiting no longer then got told driver on his way so I was I'd have pizza but not paying full price and got told they couldnt do nothing with the price so I didn't take it n went n got a Chinese

wow , do i have a lot to say ! , all i can say is how terrible dominos is in harpenden , first of all they send me my pizza which has the incorrect toppings on , so i ring the store and the man who answers starts to blame me for the situation even tho i specifically requested no pork on my pizza for personal reasons (intolerance) , i am absolutely raging to be quite honest , he asked me why he should make me a new pizza as it was apparently my fault that HIS team got my pizza wrong . He then finally agreed to send me a new one but would take an hour , hour and a half later a new pizza turns up with tomato base topping even tho he knew i asked for bbq as he repeated it back to me ! he sent me that out of spite and i’m not having it. this has to be the worst fast food place i have ever visited and definitely will not be going back in a hurry! their customer service is outrageous! never known anything like it. They don’t even listen to their customers ! tip for all the dominos staff aswell - wear hair nets , going forward , i strongly suggest you re evaluate your staff situation.

I ordered our food around 10pm last night, and the tracker said it’s out for delivery and then said it’s been delivered but we never received our food around 11.20pm I started ringing them no answer but I know they close at 11pm but hopefully there’s a chance someone will answer due to our food not turning up! We regularly order from harpenden dominos and there has been a few times where there very much lacking. My partner rang them up this morning explained about what’s happened and I had an email to confirm my order aswell. He said he’ll speak to his driver and we’ll go from their, we gave it around 40mins then called back and the guy replied back I’m quite busy I’ll probably just give you a refund?!

For the third time, absolutely awful service! The delivery took over an hour and a half, and when I called to see where our food was (as according to the app, it was delivered!) I got a very rude response from the store. Plus, the food was cold on arrival. Eugh

Almost always late & luke warm or completely cold on arrival. Today website said 24-36 mins to deliver to my address, it arrived after 55 mins. Pizza tracker claimed it arrived 15 mins earlier. Have just put the COLD pizza in my oven. 2 stars purely for it turning up at all & getting all items delivered. Very poor. AVOID.

Sometimes slow service if you order in the shop however if you order online, there is a very speedy service and it is always on time.

As a delivery pizza place, I believe the costs should be suitable for teens! The prices are extremely high and although the pizzas are nice, the price almost doesn't make it worth it! Through delivery I have found that it is mostly reliable, but on busy days especially, they are terrible at giving you updates and the pizza can arrive hours after you were originally expecting it.

Strung us out for four hours with assurances the delivery was already out, tales of new pizzas being sent out, then denials, and finally, closed for the night. Doubting now the refund will be made. Why do they bother to pick up the phone?

If you want cold, undercooked food that takes an hour and a half to arrive - order from here! Better off buying a frozen pizza from the shop, you’d have bought it, cooked it and ate it before dominos knock at your door.

Delivery was missing items. I said to the delivery guy that things were missing and he just said 'Call the shop' as he walked off. After calling the shop 7 or 8 time over the course of 30 mins I had someone answer who couldn't understand me. He said he giving me a refund, but as he didn't know what was missing because he couldn't understand me, I doubt that's going to happen. We will see. Won't ever be using this place again. Really bad service. The pizza that did arrive wasn't great, certainly not worth nearly £20 for the pizza alone.

Ordered Ranch BBQ with herbs and sour cream, Got given burger sauce on first one. Called to get a replacement and I got half the toppings I got on the original and the pizza still has burger sauce on. To top it off the delivery driver wanted to argue with me whether or not it was burger sauce, Said burger sauce is bright red?.... You mean ketchup mate..... If you can’t make a pizza with a step by step guide then I don’t have a lot of faith in the business full stop. Unintelligible, Poor service and sense of arrogance amongst staff. Why spend money here when there’s Papa Johns and Pizza Express in Harpenden Town???

Ordered online, very quick and simple and keeps you posted on the progress of the order. Food came quickly, pizza had plenty of toppings on, garlic bread pizza was a bit poor but on the whole it was good

The delivery took ages - after double the time I was told it would take I rang to be told the driver was blocked in that's why it was late - when I asked if it meant my pizza would be cold they said 'if there is a problem call back'. I told them not to bother and asked for a refund...did not accept pizza when it finally arrived.

Walked in for a pizza after work first time i have been here and while i was waiting there was a heated argument between staff in view of 3 customers they were shouting at each other for everyone to hear. after woulds the big lady with glasses said to the black guy why are you angry go look in the mirror i saw this to be racist.. i will not go back even though the pizza was very good.. this happened aprrox 6.20pm friday evening 21st sept 2018.. a low rating for the argument

Placed an order at 8pm 10pm it arrived but wasn’t even my order. Driver didn’t care just said well that’s what they gave him. Then moaned that he has to from Harpenden to Kimpton to deliver. Normally we have good service this was terrible service and no one answers the phone when you call.

We have ordered from here a few times, first time was okay. Second time pizza was raw so we had to cook it ourselves in the oven. Third time was not only raw yet again but was also completely squashed and misshapen. It look as though it has been dropped!! We also ordered sides (chicken strips and garlic pizza bread) both of which were under cooked and totally inedible. When the pizza arrived I checked it before giving any money and as soon as I saw the state of it I refused it and told the delivery driver to take it back. He said they will send another. As I hasn't paid I called the shop and spoke to the manager to say we didn't want another sent. She was soooooo rude, unprofessional and unhelpful. She said we still had to pay as a new one has been made and on its way. I said I no longer wanted it as It looked so bad I lost my appitite..she offered no apology or anything..disgusting. AVOID

Ordered 2 large pizzas, a small with some sides. Waiting over an hour for the food, only half turned up cold, driver told us to call the store, it took over an hour for them to answer the phone. Once I eventually spoke to them I was told a further 2 hrs to wait for the pizzas I’d ordered over 2 hours ago.

Orders 2 pizzas. Arrived really fast and were both very nice. One of pizzas had a piece of mushroom on when it was pepperoni. Not the end of the world but it was there

I've used this place three times this year and each time it gets worse. First time it took them over an hour and a half to deliver cold pizza which they blamed on "being very busy". I then had to argue a refund which took three weeks to be put back in my account. The second time just the 50 minute wait for a delivery but at least it was warm. Tonight I ordered online for collection (It's not worth the hour long wait!) And wait until it says ready and pop in only to be told it's 8 minutes away from being ready. I wait and wait and them I'm told my order has been given to someone else but I can have their pizza - a pizza I didn't order??? So I say no and I'm told they will run a new order through and the supervisor comes to the front and puts the order through, no apology, no offer of money back or discount or even a free drink while I wait! I'm told 15 minutes so go for a walk around the block and come back bang on 15 minutes and get told it's still 10 minutes away. Eventually pizzas are made and handed over and I leave. Terrible service, terrible customer service and fast food that's just not fast. It's not even moderately fast. Don't waste your time, go to Papa Johns.

Waited for an hour and a half. Called them 5 times to get through. Made out they had attempted delivery even though they definitely hadn't been to my address. They then said they would redeliver but never did and now will not pick up the phone. Absolutely useless.

Orderd last minute at 6:34 and it arrived by 7:05. Perfect food with a great deal for 2 pizzas , 2 sides and a drink for £22! What more could you want

I enjoy donino's everytime. I'm a Faithfull client and I never been desapointed. Sometimes the delivery time is a bit higher, but this only proves how much people love them and how busy they are

Pedí un par de veces de Domino's y cada vez me quedé muy satisfecho con la pizza y el servicio. Es uno de los de pizza en la zona, si no el mejor. Nunca tuvimos ningún tipo de problema. Siempre encontrará un personal muy agradable y educado

Our pizza took at least an hour and arrived burned and freezing cold , our side dishes where also cold .I called and demanded my money back immediately , went got myself a thai and came back , they still had not bothered to come Back and refund me . Finally had aRefund .Disgusting service fro £30 , you should be ashamed of yourselves .Domino is by far the worst takeaway in Harpenden. Always papa jones form now on Avoid
