Absolutely brilliant normally but tonight me meal went to kirkley n stopped numerous times on the way to me in Oulton Broad hence cold meal white chips wasn't pleasant so bin n bed asked for refund not something I normally. Sorry

Always loved dolphin but it's gone down hill now!! The sausages are tiny in the deal, the extra sausage was a patty instead of the normal large one, chips portions were tiny and the scampi didn't even come with chips at 7.20 when it usually does! Scampi wasn't even crispy. Really disappointed and will not be ordering from here ever again.

We had friends over and they had fish and chips, they said next time them come to visit we can go to the restaurant. they were very impressed.

order food at 3pm, waited until 4pm for order to arrive, but as usual food was delicious.

Tried the cod nuggets today, but wasn't keen as thought they would be in batter and not breadcrumbs. But having said that I will still try almost everything on the menu that I like. Fantastic batter on fish and the large chips covered 2 plates. will be ordering at least once a week in the winter. Great service ***************

Went here last week with friends at teatime & we ate in their restaurant. The food was extremely tasty - we could tell that it had all been freshly cooked to order & not just sat around like some chippies do. The chips were beautifully cooked as were the sausages that I had. My 2 friends each had the fish & said that the golden batter was the nicest they'd eaten in a very long time. Food wise, I'd give this place top marks for sure. The only drawback here is they are quite expensive we thought - £48 for 3 people in a chip shop? Maybe it's with the price of everything going up, & the fish was absolutely gorgeous as I said so real good quality, plus you always pay more to sit in instead of takeaway, but we just thought it was slightly steep. But hey ho, we all enjoyed it and that's what matters, so ok to pay it as a treat now & then, but you couldn't really afford those prices on a regular basis to visit a backstreet chippy I wouldn't have thought. I'd come back here though if in the area as although a bit pricey, the food quality certainly makes up for it.

The batter was a lot better this time as it was thinner and this made it crispy, the chips were also better soft fluffy and white but I always buy from Dolphin best fish and chips ever, fish is always fresh

Oh so delicious, was very hot, the batter was not too crispy, the chips were delicious, This is our second order from here and we will be ordering once a week as a treat.

Best fish n chips in town piping hot and great taste.

My hubby is a fussy eater and he said it was exceptional, he is 70 and said it was the best fish and chips he has ever tasted, largest piece of fish i have ever seen, will order smaller next time, great value for money, will be ordering again very soon. 10 stars for exceptional quality food.

This is a plain and simple fish and chip cafe rather than a restaurant. It has a wide range of fish, pies, etc on offer and our fish was first class quality and very generous portions. No frills but good value and old fashioned in a good way!

Fish & chips delivered deliciously hot only 5 minutes late, but it is Friday. Driver very courteous. The food was excellent. I will definitely be using just eat again.

Food was good as always but the delivery wasn’t as good. Food was left at the door on the concrete floor and the driver was already back in the car and pulled away as I answered the door. Just as well it was the right address.

Food delivered on time and hot. I had the haddock light bite very happy with the quantity and the food was really enjoyable.

Ordered at 17:10 for a 18:00 delivery, Order confirmed at 17:12 and stated confirmed until 18:20, Rang chip shop and they confirmed that Just Eat hadn’t confirmed a driver, Delivery time then changed to 18:37 and at 18:30 delivery time changed to 18:52. Food arrived at 18:47. Very poor from Just Eat!!! Dolphin Chip shop were great though and food was clearly fresh.

Proper fish an chips with a cod that needs two plates its so big and real chip shop chips.Keep it up guys.10/10.

Rang store many time told me left ten minutes before delivery time but didn't turn up for over 50 minutes past delivery time an was cold when challenge the delivery driver they said he only had it 10 minutes which he clearly didnt

Food was excellent boiling hot and very tasty was missing the chips from the burger and chips meal I ordered but the cheese chips I ordered covered the missing chips. The portions are so big they are well worth the price and look forward to ordering from here again

That unfortunately was the worst fish and chips I've ever had. Fish over cooked. Chips were nearly all bits and over cooked. I'll never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

Everything was piping hot and very tasty. Dolphin Fish Bar always come up trumps with their fish offerings. Very nice cuppa tea but unfortunately can't comment on the bread and butter as it was missing ffrom the order, but still gave full marks as I was full up by the end of the meal anyway. Polite delivery chap. Recommended.

Chips are always very nice and always a good size portion, good price to. Probably best in Lowestoft.

The meal was delivered hot and fresh, The fish was cooked nicely with a nice crisp batter, The chips were not over cooked and plentiful, overall a lovely meal and delivered on time

The haddock was full of flavour, and batter was scrumptious, and chips were wonderful.

Although the fish was beautiful it hadn't been drained of the frying oil which made the batter VERY oily

Lateness not a problem.. Used for first time in a while a week or so ago was delighted.. today however medium fish was considerably smaller .. turned out to be a good thing.. wasn’t fresh, cat turned it down as did the stray cat..

We both had large fish and they are large plus small chips which is like a large anywhere else so great deal and tasting gorgeous.Well done Dolphin for showing how it should be done.
