Dolce Vita in Sefton

This is our 3rd visit since Christmas! We are beyond lucky to have this stylish, friendly & welcoming restaurant in our village! When I booked I asked for a corner table as it’s best for my father in laws hearing - no problem at all The food as always was amazing - those carrots 🥕I’m going to ask for a plateful next time. It was our waiter’s (Dylan) first night he was friendly and efficient, will fit in perfectly If you’re looking for somewhere to celebrate or just a nice meal out this is the place for you!

Nice restaurant and lamb henry excellent. Warm chocolate fudge cake was extremely well presented and overall an excellent meal. Sadly let down by poor service. Very young staff with no training. Only a couple of other tables and at least four staff but kept waiting a long time and had to call someone over. Website clearly states early diner 5-6pm Tuesday to Saturday £20 for two courses but tried to charge full price. Not impressed. Spoiled an excellent meal.

First time I had been for a while. The food was good but the service was poor. We waited a quite a while for our main courses, then had to ask them to clear the dirty plates. We were seated on a table on the left through the arch and I felt that they ignored us even though they weren’t too busy.

The food was good on this visit, but not excellent as it usually is. A little lack-lustre....lacking in flavour. Perhaps because it was a busy night.

Visiting family in Ainsdale and had a superb evening meal at Dolce Vita. I chose the Salmon and seasonal vegetables with a delicious white wine sauce, cooked perfectly. For dessert the Raspberry Pavlova was amazing. Great friendly service from all the staff. Thank you Dolce Vita for a lovely evening .

Excellent meal from start to finish for my grandson’s Birthday. Starters, mains and desserts all delicious. The mushroom soup was amazing along with the homemade bread. The tenderness of the lamb also deserves a special mention and the sauce with it was delicious! The boys loved their huge pizzas! Service was excellent - the staff are warm and friendly yet professional and they make you feel relaxed and welcomed. A thoroughly enjoyable meal as always! One of the best restaurants around! I rang the restaurant in advance to let them know that one of our party had very specific dietary requirements that I was concerned they wouldn't be able to accommodate, having looked at the menu. From that first moment they couldn't have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. They took it completely in their stride and rustled up delicious starters and mains that took all the restrictions into account. We had the breaded mushrooms, goats cheese bruschetta, seafood linguine, pan fried salmon and sea bass. All delicious. The service was attentive and thoughtful, without being stifling. All four of us enjoyed both courses and drinks. The atmosphere was relaxed and although there were plenty of diners, it was quiet enough to have a good chat without having to shout over background music. We had a really good night and would highly recommend it.

I had an excellent meal with my husband last night at this gem of a restaurant. I thought I was dining in Italy it was that good. Stefano was so helpful, warm and friendly and also let us try a couple of wines before deciding, they were both lovely so hard to choose but we did. The food was really outstanding, all cooked to order, and the service from Hannah our waitress was first rate. This was a really super evening one to remember and we will be back.

First visit to this magnificent place for lunch, bright clean but most of all very accommodating, the front of house cannot do enough for you the Italian waiter who served us made us feel at ease and talked us through the menu just in case we had any allergies/intolerance or a special diets.We will definitely visit again when in the area.

Visited Saturday 15th Feb, had a singer on for entertainment who was excellent. Set menu with choices for each course.The restaurant staff were friendly, efficient and gave all females a red rose which was a lovely touch. Food was served hot, and cooked to perfection, poached pears were to die for.It was a pity that some customers found the need to chatter loudly during the singers slot...very bad mannered however, the staff politely and swiftly moved them away from their front table to one near the back of the restaurant, unfortunately next to us and this spoiled our evening as the women continued in their cackling voices and the men with them didn't know when to shut up. Other than that, it was a good evening.

As we arrived the door was opened for us by the waiter who greeted us with a smile and a friendly hello. We were immediately seated and menus brought to the table. The waiter was friendly and made helpful suggestions. The food was excellently prepared and very tasty. This restaurant is highly recommended.

Revisited this fabulous restaurant last night. I could not fault the food if I tried. The flavours are simply amazing and the price very reasonable. The staff are very friendly and attentive, the décor is beautiful and the food is amazing.

As soon as we walked in we were greeted straight away we sat down and were promptly given the menus, my friend had booked on line and said I was a vegetarian, he started to let me know there was lots of choice on the menu but if there was anything else I would prefer they could do it for me, which was really good. On walking back from the toilet looking around the restaurant you really got a sense that alot of the guests were regulars and it felt very homely, the food did not disappoint didn't get pictures of everything but it was super delicious, after 4 weeks on slimming world it was heaven the lemon posset for me was the best sweet I've had for a very long time. Can't believe I've never been here before, will definitely be back soon.

Booked a table for 9 to celebrate my birthday, venue, staff and food were all fantastic. Has a nice feel to the place, will definitely return.

Booked at the last minute for 20 people as other restaurants couldn't take a party of that size, this was a busy Saturday night. The food was good and the service and venue were absolutely amazing! There is a large conservatory at the front which is almost self contained but feels like part of the restaurant, great if you have kids that don't want to sit down all night. We were there for just over 2 hours. Food was served promptly and all together. All dishes where hot and I never had to ask for a drink all night! Even the water was topped up without asking. The waiter even went outside to check my little Pug was OK in the car. Couldn't fault it. If you have an occasion to organise with lots of people then this is the place. The coffee (americano with cream) is also extremely good.

Popped in with family for a quick pizza fix and wasn't disappointed. Freshly made, crispy and delicious. Good service, nice restaurant, not too expensive. Not much more to say other than well worth a return visit when in town.

We had dinner with our friends and we all enjoyed the evening. Staff all attentive, helpful and friendly. We all enjoyed our varied dishes. Food iwas sieved hot and freash. Good portions. Loved my seafood linguine and king prawn starter. Lasagne was delicious, duck cooked to perfection. Good selection of wines and desserts.

The food at this restaurant I can say was the best food I have tasted in Southport. The presentation was great, the atmosphere of the restaurant was warming and the staff were really friendly especially Ciro who made my Nans 80th really special with his charming humour
