Use it or lose it Swinton, on a diet and want to eat out well there's no better place than here, superb fresh food, lots of vegetables on offer. Obviously try the papaya salad (ask for hot), tom yum soup is fragrant and delicious also. I read a review criticising the jungle curry as being thin, there's another word for that AUTHENTIC. A tip for you, as soon as you sit down order your drinks, trust me

Been here three times now..Fantastic restaurant. Highly recommend the Tom Kha soup, chicken wings and any of the sea bass chefs specials. The deep fried sea bass is divine!

Rude Staff, denied receiving our order to begin with, then claimed that they didn't have the driver's details then told us to take it up with somebody else. Do not order from this place

The best Thai food in the area! We've been to DokMali a handful of times now and the food and service has always been excellent. I'd highly recommend a visit. Lovely clean restaurant and the food isn't too pricey either!

Food is good, not very well set out menu ordered a pad Thai last and it came out like a soup.. Rang up and she replied.. What do want me to do about it... No wonder why it's empty all the time in there over priced no people skills.. Defo in the wrong game these lot!!!

Delicious real Thai food! The best I have found in Manchester with a extensive menu cooked by a Thai chef with many dishes you can usually only find in Thailand. It is freshly made so you can ask for your desired level of spicy (the authentic version is usually very spicy here, as if you were in Thailand). My favorite was the papaya salad, the pork stir fry, and the duck masaman.

4 years ago this was the best place, it's slowly gone down hill. Just ordered a take out for two. And we got barely anything for £30, the starter was awfully dry, the chicken wings was oily and rubberly and the stir fry, well I can't comment as it looked and smelt awful (my partner as thought given its a stir fry there woyld be noodles but nope) Don't think I'll be ordering from here again which is sad because like I said it use to be really good.

Ordered takeaway from here, recently moved to the area. The deep fried squid was very yummy but there wasn't enough pieces I thought for the price. The Pad Thai was very oily in my opinion and the chicken didn't taste nice. And the duck pancakes used very fatty cuts of duck. Everything edible, just not the nicest Thai I've had. If they could just use less oil and nicer cuts of meat I would order again.

TAKE OUT DELIVERY …poor service, food arrived cold and one dish which should of been a main meal, came as a starter, so very small in portion. When calling the restaurant, they were very unhelpful and quite rude. I would not have food from this place again!

Really wanted to find a new spot in Swinton! Been meaning to try for a while but what a disappointment. £6.50 for 4 wings, FOUR! Four singular not double wings. Prawns and dumplings were dry, overcooked and rubbery. Thai green curry was watery. Over £30 for 2 and almost inedible, honestly such a shame

Had 2 takeaways from here now. Been pretty consistently good. Will keep ordering. Fresh ingredients, flavoursome and fast arrival.

We had a great meal here this evening on a bit of a whim. The service was excellent and the food was some of the best Thai food I've ever had. I'd definitely recommend and will be returning!

Tonight I tried DokMali and I must say I was very impressed! I only got the Gaeng Panang with rice but I must say it was absolutely delicious and has a good kick to it! Will be ordering from here again very soon! D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!!

I ordered through uber eats, I went for the Pad see ew noodles and chicken satay, unfortunate it was the most disappointing meal I've had in ages. The noodles were so dry, overcooked and they must've been cooked a long time ago. The chicken was so dry and the peanut sauce was very runny. I had food from Dok Mali before and it was lovely, but not this one. Everything was overcooked and very bland, I won't be ordering again. One star is for the the delivery which was on time.

Whilst up on business myself and friend visited the restaurant on a Wednesday night. Staff were friendly and we chose the set menu for 2, which was lovely and freshly prepared. I am not a great Thai lover, but all the meals were lovely and freshly cooked for us. Enough for the 2 of us and good value at £24.95 each for 3 courses and coffee or ice cream.

Absolutely amazing! Had a fabulous evening, party of 9 and all of our food came at the same time. Service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Lovely experience and will definitely be back!

We have visited Dok Mali a few times now and have always had a great time. Lovely layout where you're not just cramped in, great service and the food... Absolutely beautiful! Definitely try the duck pancakes and the sizzling sirloin steak!

Rubbish resturant they are playing the game the food is amature although they try. It took ages for us to get our food and there was only three couples in. God knows how long it takes if the place fills up. Give it a miss choose thai paragon in culcheth.

I ordered food through Just Eat. the lady who did the transport could not get to the place at the WHOLE address indicated. she screamed on the phone that she had entered the post code and here it is. I explained her calmly to turn off the navigation and use the map and look at her if she is on the right street, but she didn't understand. so I had to leave the house and walk 400 meters to pick up the food…. we often order deliverers and people call and ask for directions. this lady called but did not want to hear any clue ... it is not professional and I will not order more when this lady will go for delivery….. while the food was very tasty 🤤😍 and if it weren't for this lady, she would have ordered more often, but now I'm afraid of eating cold by not listening to the directions ... I think people should talk less and learn to listen… I know that there is an option to eat meals insidd and I will certainly do it in the near future🥰

Ordered takeaway for the first time tonight but sadly very underwhelmed. The food wasn't cheap & small portions which would be acceptable if food was lovely but sadly it wasn't. I only live a few minutes away by car yet all the food was cold. Some of the mixed starters looked burned like they had been reheated. The potato chips are apparently hand cut local potatoes but they were soggy cold fries clearly not hand cut. I had a gift voucher for a birthday so used this in part payment which I'm glad as I would of been really unhappy if I had paid over £40 for average food. I had high expectations of this place as its not a takeaway its a restaurant but certainly won't be ordering again.

Husband and I went to Dokmali last night and the gentlemen who was front of house was lovely he was very welcoming and helpful. We had the mixed starter which was delicious the fish cakes were especially tasty. For mains my husband had the duck rendang and I had the beef pad ka poa. Both were extremely tasty and the portion size was perfect. This place was definitely authentic and excellent value for money. I would highly recommend and can't wait to go again.

Ordered a take away from here last night, was told it will be an hour. It came 2 hours later after 3 phone calls being told it was on its way. Was barely warm and cost £60 for 4 of us with only one starter between us. Well overpriced and terrible service. No apology given on late delivery.

Food arrived quickly and hot. Squid starter was really nice, my husband likes spicy food and enjoyed his pork Pad Ka Pao. My chicken Pla Muk Tod was super tasty. Size of portions just right for a treat when you are hungry. Already looking forward to next meal from Dokmali😋

First time I have left a review for a take away for a LONG time. I am not sure if Dok Mali have only just started doing deliveries but we have never seen it before. After around 3 indifferent take away experiences lately we were up for trying somewhere new. Cannot speak highly enough of the food. Very high quality, not greasy, came earlier than expected. The Thai Papaya salad was incredible and the curries were not over spiced. I would say we spent slightly more than we would on a take away but 100% worth it for the increased quality. Will be ordering again! Thank you team!

Just had a takeaway delivered which was an hour late. The food was tepid and had obviously been standing for ages. A total waste of money.

Ordered via deliveroo. What was brought was different to what we ordered and the quality was exceptionally poor. Watery, tasteless. Ashamed to say we binned most of it but it really was dreadful. We contacted deliveroo who just refunded us.

Tom Yum King Prawn Soup (£7 ouch! given poor quality) was watery, hot but lacked spicy flavors, main courses lacked flavor, couldn't taste tamarind, garlic, poor. Decor looked cheap tack, presentation needs thought. overall a disappointing experience and one wonders how real the rave reviews are of this place or if folk who wrote them travel much. Won't be returning despite the excellent service, front end staff were very attentive.

We ordered a take away and thought the food was ok but we have had better! The price of the mains were expensive considering the portion sizes and the starters were pricey too. We thought there may be a discount for take away, but you pay exactly the same prices as if you were dining in.

Fantastic experience at this restuarant, owners were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was fantastic, both my sister and I highly recommend it if you're in the area. Ordered a takeaway and for two main dishes, 1 sticky rice (That came in a boil in a bag) prawn crackers and a duck spring roll it came to £41!!! it was ok food but not that nice for the price. Wasn't hot in temp so quite disappointed to be honest.

We went to this restaurant for the first time. We have been to several Thai restaurants in Manchester in the past but this is the best one we have ever been. The starters and curries were very authentic and tasty at a reasonable price. Very friendly and helpful staff. My son felt it was the best birthday gift for him !

I've been to Thailand few times and I can tell this restaurant does serve proper Thai dishes that are well prepared with all fresh ingredients so yes, you wait for your order (I've seen someone posted here silly review about waiting time, perhaps they've should have gone to McDonald's instead) but when your food arrives you will be blown away! Well recommended. I will definitely return and will bring my friends!

Looked good. Were kept waiting (as were all the other guests). Managed to get two starters served before we gave up the ghost and left. The spring rolls were nice, the calamari (recommended on the menu) was like rubber in a greasy batter. A good dust would help a lot too. Sat next to some locals who said it is normally better, which was scant consolation. On the upside, the waiter was really cute, so got an extra star for that

Hidden Gem without doubt..!!!Every time I return to Manchester/Uk I go here..every single time the food is amazing and staff pleasant and extremely helpful..I am a Vegan ..a restaurants nightmare, but they always cater to me....without hesitation ...simply wonderful....and extremely cheap for those who are a bit tight.....

Visited Dokmali for the first time last night with my partner, We have both travelled Thailand and find it hard to come across good Thai Restaurants locally. I wish we would have gone sooner, we got the Mixed starter to begin with which came and was lovely, we then got Pad Thai for main, which tasted just like it did in Thailand. Even better they do take away. We cant wait to order again to try some other dishes.

Me and my partner visited recently and were extremely impressed by the lovely service and the incredible food. Would recommend the Tom Yum soup, vegetable Tempura and the Jungle curry. Everything was excellent and we would love to promote the business more! :)

It's not often that I get to eat Thai food because my good lady wife is not a big fan of oriental food. Having been ill with tummy problems for a few weeks I was in great need for a tasty lunch. So having been here once before for a very tasty lunch, I chanced it again. What a great decision. The set 2 course lunch at £10.95 was fantastic. Great aromatic soup Tom Kha Gai followed by Gaeng Dang was absolutely gorgeous. A small bottle of Singha complimented the lunch and the fabulous friendly staff made it a very nice lunch indeed. Well worth the £14 bill

We decided late Saturday evening that we would try a take away from here. We ordered Thai Fish cakes chicken satay and chicken with white peppers n sticky rice. Not only was the food fabulou6but all of the condiments too. Felt like a full Thai experience at home.The meal was ready 25 mins after phoning through. The staff were polite. I have tried most Thai resteraunt in the city centre and this little gem surpassed them all. I cannot wait to work myself through the entire menu

Visited Dokmali this evening with my husband, we had a set banquet and all the courses were delicious couldn't fault anything the prices are very reasonable the service was outstanding Hassan our waiter couldn't have been more helpful or attentive. We would definitely recommend eating here and hope to return soon.
