Signs all over the place saying saying they clean tables between diners. Nope!! Waited for ages- had to go ask them to clean our table! Burger was cooked to within an inch of its life- tasteless but we were starving and had already paid so ate it. £1.95 for a can of urn bru is disgusting-400%profit!! I’ll not come back- and you’re my local!!covid has taken so much but no effort here to make anything easier - for staff or customers!!

Delicious and good value lunch. Helpful and friendly staff. Next time we visit Inverness we will come here again.

Every now and again i will pop into Dobbies in Brighton. I don't know why as the prices aren't even reasonable or justified. I play a game. Guess how much you think it should be and then add a 1/3 and you'd be near the mark. I leave there every time with nothing.

We went for lunch. I had fish and chips. I was disappointed with the meal as it was not very hot. My daughter and husband had turkey which was okay, but did resemble canteen food. It was not worth the money we paid and we will not be going back.

Very poor hot meals, second time I’ve tried one. Where do I start; hard, tasteless roast potatoes, tinned veg. Chicken Kiev was dry and had a horrible pesto like sauce inside. My partners Toastie was also pretty poor. I think the problem lies with not enough staff, as I heard one of the staff complaining about being left to manage counter by herself, also if the cooks were to actually taste their food, they might just agree. Such a shame as it’s a beautiful store. I’m a chef and there is no way I’d put out substandard food. Angry that I spent money on those meals.

Everytime we come here there is a problem!!!! massive queues, by the time you get your meal after queing for a coffee the food is cold, we visited in September, my partner had cold scrambled eggs, mine were hot because they came from underneath but bacon was cold. Told woman taking contact details that it wasn't that hot and she said you should complain at the time but you cannot get near the counter or till. Yesterday we got here arouund 11.45, no queues for a change, ordered 2 sandwiches, coronation chicken and tuna, got coffees fairly quickly, then after 10 minutes waiting for sandwich and thinking coffee is nearly done. Then buzzer goes to say it is ready to be told they do not have the sandwich fillings! Got a refund and went somewhere else.

My wife and I had breakfast here, didn’t offer much value half a tomato counted as 1 of your 5 choices for the small Scottish breakfast, portions were pitifully small, it was Luke warm to cold when served eggs were rubbery and tasteless, not worth the money.

I went for the fish and chips, the fish looked lovely with crispy looking batter and it was beautifully crispy, however the fish and chips were lukewarm and the peas were not even that warm!I ate it anyway as I was starving but went up to the hot food counter to mention it to the server as I was leaving but nobody came near me to ask what I wanted.I could have spoken to the girl on the till but she didn't appear to care about the job, was not pleasant when she took my money ( not rude but just disinterested).This is not the first time I have been served cold food but it will be the last as I won't be buying so-called hot food again.Ironically, there is a sign on the hot food counter glass warning that it is hot, it wasn't !I have never eaten here at "lunchtime" so cannot say if the food is warmer when just out.

Had a lovely lunch here, while we were in Inverness. Nice,friendly welcome from the staff member, who took our name and phone number. Good to see.Plenty of space between tables, ordered our food, Baked Potato and tuna mayo, and cheese burger, delivered promptly along with cutlery. Very fresh and really tasty. We really enjoyed our meal.The staff were very efficient, cleaning and sanitising the areas which had been used.Will certainly be back soon.

Llamé para tomar un café rápido con mi esposo, que había estado en un hospital cercano sometiéndose a un procedimiento en el que había ayunado desde las 7 pm la noche anterior. Entramos por toda la tienda para llegar a la cafetería y recogimos nuestra bandeja. Dos miembros del personal estaban charlando en el otro extremo del mostrador. Otra dama y una niña entraron detrás de nosotros. Miramos el mostrador de dulces y elegimos qué artículo íbamos a pedir. Lo siguiente que se acercó un miembro del personal anunció que el café estaba cerrado. Sin señalización, sin barrera, luces encendidas, personal charlando y finalmente vino y nos dio buenas noticias.¿Puedo sugerir que coloquen un cartel al lado de la estación de desinfección de manos en la entrada a la tienda y / o café, para evitar que los clientes se sientan decepcionados?

Al llegar a tomar un café y un bollo justo antes de las 11 de la mañana, solo había dos bollos en una canasta. Le pregunté a la señora que preparaba baguettes si podía haber más disponibles. Con el ceño fruncido y un gruñido, se fue a la cocina y regresó con un par de ofrendas más anémicas. ! Ella se quejó de que solo había un panadero y eso era todo lo que tenían. ¡No es mi problema! ! ! !Si no hubiera sido por la encantadora dama que preparaba el desayuno con una gran sonrisa y disculpas por la mala educación de sus colegas, nos hubiéramos ido.¿Qué ha pasado con Dobbies? ? ? Visité para tomar un café y pedí un capuchino a una joven asistente. Le pedí específicamente una espuma decente. Cuando se hizo, no tenía espuma alguna. Cortésmente pedí un capuchino espumoso y el miembro del personal se volvió muy grosero y tiró el café al fregadero de mal genio. Entiendo que el personal debe ser tratado con respeto, lo cual hice. Sin embargo, estos miembros del personal no son un activo para una empresa en estos tiempos difíciles. Dobbies, por favor instruya a su personal en modales y respeto.

Shockingly bad food. Had a soggy tuna melt toastie that was luke warm with what looked to be tuna paste on the inside with tasteless cheese. Dobbies cafe was a Sunday lunchtime destination for us, no longer. We will not be coming back.

Had a small breakfast here which was good value for money. Hand sanitizers and social distance markings on the floor with a one way system.

Went for lunch after lockdown and place was quiet but service was good and food ok. Lost one point as they let dogs in and nice area for them. Sat down but We moved allergies to dogs, hair and mess.

Dobbies es despreciable, el tratamiento de cheesenchalk es repugnante. Es la persona más leal, inteligente y genuina que he conocido. Todo lo que puedo decir es que la última vez que estuve en la tienda vi a este hombre gritarle a la gerencia en el taller. Es seguro decir que es un hombre de palabra.

I've been in so many place since this lockdown and they have been fine with going the wrong way or even going out their way to be nice, but this place has to be like a prison, the staff are rude, I spoke to little old man their who had the worst attitude when I asked for help, the place just seems like it needs to be shut and restarted, I'll make sure my freinds know to go else where.

Come to Dobbies for lunch every time we are in Inverness and normally leave very happy. On this occasion not so much- visited with my disabled mother who used a crutch as a walking aid, while in the restaurant I had a tray with my lunch and also a tray with my mums lunch, I could not carry both at the same time and my mum struggled to carry her own without spilling everything. 4 members of staff stood and watched us struggle to carry these lunches to the paying desk and then over to the table to eat. We could not get a table close to where paying as nearly every empty table was covered in dirty plates and cups ect so did have to struggle through to seating next to the pet shop area. Not very present as my mother’s lunch was then soggy and covered in the tea that had been spilt due to the struggle. Not very disabled friendly / good customer service.

We have visited this eatery on numerous occasions, however probably won't return. Very disappointing. Baked potatoe with a small portion of tuna mayonnaise, tasteless. Lasagne with chips (7) tasteless and both overpriced. Did not go back for coffee and tea.

Staff were rude, ignored not just us, but people in front of us. Food was cold, seating area was thilthy. Does anyone actually Manage / train the staff here ?

Estábamos visitando Inverness y dimos una vuelta por Dobbies en busca de inspiración para nuestro jardín / puerta principal. Afortunadamente, Dobbies tenía mucho para elegir, una gran selección de macetas y adornos para todos los gustos.Entramos en la cafetería para tomar un té y un pastel y tuvimos una muy buena visita. El pastel estaba delicioso, él tenía café y nueces, y yo tenía un mini pavlova, ambos deliciosos y el personal realmente encantador. Estaremos de vuelta.

Ok so we were hungry, very hungry. We visited at just after 9am.....with the thought that going early the food would be spot on.How wrong we were.Ordered 2 Scottish breakfast's. Firstly the mushrooms were stone cold and unpalatable.The egg was barley warm, the hash brown slightly warmer still, the sausage was of good temperature but the tattie scone.....well I could have built a house with that. Beans were nice though as was the crispy bacon so kudos there.The fact also, you cannot order a build your own :( Anyway £21.50 for the 2 breakfasts and one latte and one americano. Just not worth it at all.Did we complain no we didn't as we figure reviews on here say much more than a complaint to uninterested staff.Do not recommend here at all DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY

Being a regular 'Little Seedling' since the age of 4, our now 'Little Sapling' who is in his last year of enjoying these sessions was very keen to visit Santa in his grotto. I booked him in this week for his more than likely, last Little Seedlings Santa Christmas Party for 10am today, given he's just turned 11yo and he wanted to visit Santa in his grotto afterwards. Being a seasoned Dobbies Club Member booking my son in monthly for his Little Seedlings and other activities for the last 7 years, I came up with a system of 'screen-shotting' the booking reference number and when the confirmation email came through, I'd delete the screenshot. For some strange reason, this time the confirmation email didn't arrive, but I had the booking reference number.After the Christmas Party today, we went to the customer service desk to be served by a lovely young lass who then called her supervisor, Peter when she couldn't see our booking for today on the system for Santa's Grotto. Peter immediately attended the desk, and remembered that there was a boy with our son's name 'who wasn't there' at yesterday's booking for the same timeslot. I know I didn't book for yesterday as it would make no sense, and the screenshot of my shopping basket clearly showed that I had chosen today for the first session after the party. I wouldn't have chosen Saturday as we weren't coming to Dobbies until today, Sunday, and I know I had the last available place for that timeslot for today - I wouldn't have been able to choose it if it was already fully booked.Peter could see that something went wrong in the internals of processing my booking, and immediately put in a plan of action without any hesitation. Needless to say, we have an absolutely delighted 11yo Little Seedling/Little Sapling now on our hands. Thank you Peter for being so accommodating and making today so special, and for the wonderful, caring attitude you and the elves took throughout this experience. He thoroughly enjoyed his time with Santa, and looks forward to putting his gift under the tree for Christmas morning.

La sección de comida caliente no tiene muchas opciones. Tuve el pastel de carne y riñón, la masa estaba quemada y seca y las patatas fritas estaban secas. Dobbies were offering buy one, get one free on breakfasts today, so thought we would take up their offer. We choose the Scottish breakfast, 7 items, and it was excellent. Staff were pleasant, and the food nice and hot. Then had a wander around their store, nicely laid out for Christmas and we managed to get some presents bought. Thanks Dobbies.

I just want to thank the ladies from the cafe who went out of their way on a busy morning to help me with a birthday cake. I can not be any more great full to them. Thank you again

Dobbies Garden Centre in Inverness copies the useful formula that is proven. Garden is almost a by product for the average visitor who s wanting food or domestic items.

I took a trip up to inverness to visit some friends, I had heard a lot about dobbies mostly good, so I took a trip over for a wee day out, now I do know names but I think descriptions will be enough and it might be unfair to name names.

Visited this week and there was a range o& filled baguettes- my friend asked if one could be warmed up NO. I took soup - small portion in a covered soup bowl but not very hot. Expensive for what it was. Won’t hurry back

i came into dobbies to get some items from in store for my garden, no one about, then seen what looked like a female manger with grey uniform belittling staff, the only people that could help, was a young man in what was mountain warehouse. I wouldn't waste my money here as all the plants die as soon as they get bought.

Had a quick lunch in here today. Not that great to be honest, have had much better toasties elsewhere. Not sure i would go back.

Después de parar hoy en el restaurante de Dobbie y haber ordenado entre nosotros dos desayunos escoceses completos y un desayuno vegetariano, sentí lástima por un mini bus lleno de estadounidenses que escuchamos que estaban buscando el restaurante. Si se suponía que los desayunos que teníamos representaban un desayuno escocés "tradicional", tanto los turistas como los visitantes se venden en corto ya que la oferta de ninguna manera debería tratar de representar un desayuno escocés adecuado: no soy un quisquilloso pero la baja calidad Los ingredientes baratos que preparaban el desayuno eran insípidos, tibios y francamente desagradables. Durante la mayor parte de los 30 fue una sorpresa. Definitivamente no volveremos!

On arriving for coffee and a scone just before 11am, there were only two scones on offer in a basket. I asked the lady making up baguettes if there might be any more available. With a scowl and a humph she went off to the kitchen and came back with a couple more very anaemic looking offerings!! She complained there was only one baker on and that's all they had. Not my problem!!!!

Stopped here for a coffee and cake. The coffee machine wasn’t operational so we had to wait for it to be refilled. It only dispensed about 3/4 of a cup of coffee to both of us. The cakes were ridiculously pricey and then we joined a short queue to pay. There were two tills available , one operated by a very inept trainee who seemed to have absolutely zero knowledge about the till operation or what the food was!! Whilst I appreciate that it’s necessary to train new people, to do it at a time when the cafe was busy seemed inappropriate, and also to do it with the trainer trying to run her own till at the same time was crazy. Neither queue moved whilst the trainer repeatedly helped the trainee, and the queue behind us and on the other till got longer and longer. One customer ahead of us left without paying. We drank our coffee whilst waiting as it was going cold. Altogether an appalling experience and I certainly wouldn’t return.

Visited on 21st August we had a small breakfast and a bacon roll.it took ages to serve the food and hot drinks another delay paying for food.the food was overcooked and cold.terrible food and service

Popped in yesterday to treat myself to a decent coffee and an indulgent cake. Had my 2 youngest with me as well and allowed them to choose a meal from the children's range. They chose and I ordered, the sausage, beans and chips option. Their meals were served on side plates and consisted of 2 sausages, a spoonful of beans and a few chips. Fairly appropriate portions and all seemed well until I caught sight of the cost of their meal...£5.20! Each! When I enquired as to what else might accompany the meal, expecting to be told that each meal would include perhaps a drink, desert, bread and butter I was informed that it would include a drink from the cabinet behind me (capri sun) and that was it. Too late to do anything about it now I proceeded to pay and double check the pricing with the cashier. The cashier confirmed the price was correct. I took the opportunity to ask for a feedback form to complete to allow me to provide some constructive feedback to management and was told that they didn't have any forms at present. However, they did manage to provide a leaflet on their loyalty card which was conveniently blank on the back and suggested I wrote my feedback down.

We have two standard size monthly drinks for for £12 a year which is a bargain, but the food is relatively expensive that evens it out. Generally, especially for breakfast and lunch items in the display cabinets, you collect your food then your drinks before paying, by which time the food is luke warm. The exception is toasted items where you are given a vibrating unit that tells you that your food is ready to collect. Unfortunately the device vibrated on more than one occasion whilst I was in the queue for the till.. I would rather order at the till and then go to the servery for the food, especially for a breakfast.

One member of the cafe serving staff didn't come across as particularly helpful or friendly. As a visitor to the area, it didn't leave me with a good impression. Apart from that, visit was good enough.

You used to be able to build your own breakfast from 7 or 10 items. Now breakfast is set and price gone up. Simpsons now a better option.

Went for breakfast today Sunday 21st July 2019. The restaurant has truly gone downhill. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING... I WON'T BE BACK IN A HURRY

I have eaten here several times and each time been disappointed with the food cost and staff. The food is invariably tepid by the time you manage to eat having queued to pay at the till for over 10 minutes. (The food was not overly bit too start with anyway) The staff were generally unhelpful and slow with little regard to their customers. The food for what it was, compared with other places was more expensive and quite bland. I will not be dining there again.

Ate here at the weekend I had the macaroni and chips which was really good husband had the fish and chips which was also very good

We often stop here for breakfast if shopping in Inverness but today will be last time We were really disappointed to find out we couldn't have what we wanted for breakfast as there are three set breakfasts and could only have one of them and no alternative I don't like beans so as they all contained beans I just went for a filled roll It was really annoying and totally mad as all the different ingredients were cooked and sat behind the glass but you could only have what they decided you could have Simpsons next time for us !

Large, clean, comfortable eating area, with small number of tables outside. Efficient service - buzzer used to recall customers for food being heated/cooked - and quality of snacks good.

Have been to Dobbies Inverness for breakfast and lunch many times but there seems to have been a sudden deterioration in service and choice. Went in for breakfast today. Although the in store radio was banging on about 7 item breakfasts, and kids eating free with adult meals, neither was on offer. I wanted to choose my own cooked breakfast items as usual. I prefer mostly meat, eggs -just not into baked beans, hash browns, mushrooms etc. Told fairly curtly that I couldn’t. I omitted 4 items from the now set traditional breakfast, because I don’t like them. I was told I could have something in place but then the substitutions were limited to the range of things that are cheap, not meat, and pretty much exactly the 4 things I was excluding! When I asked for a sausage instead I was told that wasn’t allowed, in the tone of a school dinner lady telling a child off, a child that should be thankful for a free meal -not a paying customer who could choose to spend their money elsewhere. No better at the tills, told that the child meal wasn’t free with my breakfast, and then offered no help whatsoever with carrying a tray with a hot meal and a cup of tea, while pushing a buggy. Thanks for that. Incidentally, thee breakfast now comes on a long rectangle plate, while the accompanying toast on a round side plate. Together they do not sit well on the tray so this was quite precarious. And neither have a cover to keep them warm. Once I sat down to try to enjoy my food, no longer feeling like I was having a week day “treat” but sitting in a basic canteen where I’d been reluctantly served, I found that my food was cold. The toast cold and hard too. My treat had become a perfunctory re-fuelling. I was sat there thinking, is it just me or is this rubbish? The latter was confirmed when I heard 3 more sets of diners come through the same experiencing, discussing their disappointment in not being able to choose their own breakfast and being denied suitable substitutions to their taste. One couple echoed my own thoughts -Simpson’s from now on.

I write this as I sit here. I can’t believe they have changed the breakfast. I asked for veggie breakfast and it was horrific. Missed half the items and was frozen! My gran asked if she could have scrambled egg with a price of bacon to be told no!! A breakfast or nothing. The girl was rude. We will definitely not be back...

Im actual appalled by the breakfast used to come a lot now it’s changes feel it was a total waste of money will not be back anytime soon as service was shocking then the breakfast it’s self was cold as a long time customer i won’t be back. Not happy

Visited Dobies at 11:15, What a rip off, we saw large signs for 2 for the price of 1 cream scones, however only to be told at the till that this offer didn’t start until 2pm, so asked for refunds, as did not wish to pay £6.90 for 2 scones!

We popped in here for a morning cuppa and as the cakes looked so delicious we all decided to have one. It's a lovely dog friendly spot with plenty of seats. As I was deciding where to sit a waitress came up and asked me if I wanted to sit in a certain seat she'd quickly clear a table for me. I love that the wash basins in the ladies are in the shape of different coloured flowers. How nice.

We’ve been coming here for well over a couple of years I don’t think we’ll be back. Salads are designed by accountants, paninis are bland with no dressing on side salads the food is just generally lack lustre compared to what it was. Pity.

We always made Dobbies our coffee and scone stop in Inverness as we loved the scones,sad to say they have gone from the best scones to by far the worst. Don,t know whats gone wrong but i hope they put it right soon.

I came here with my boyfriend for a late afternoon lunch and well.. just was not what I expected. It’s one of those places that make everything and then what’s on display is all there is by the looks of it. We were pretty frustrated because every time we asked for something or looked at menu we’d always get “We’re out of that” or “we don’t have it in” etc so we just ended up with anything we could get. To be fair, the food was pretty tasty! Just a shame we didn’t really have the best experience

Solo quiero decir que disfrutamos nuestro desayuno en Inverness Dobbies. . . Mucho mejor que nuestros Dobbies Sandyholm habituales. Mi esposo y yo tuvimos el artículo 7 con té / café. Recién cocinada, caliente y encantadora zona de estar. Cambiamos a las cómodas sillas después de haber comido y terminado nuestras bebidas. Volveremos en nuestra próxima visita a Inverness. ?

Ordered Macaroni & cheese which you wouldn’t think a restaurant could get so badly wrong!! The pasta was undercooked and the meal was completely tasteless!! It came with chips which were cold and hard and had obviously been cooked for a while and just left.

We had breakfast here yesterday , DISSAPOINTING . I had a 7 piece breakfast which is reasonable value untill I saw the lack luster effort on the toast front 1 small slice of toast .Really , how muc does bread cost .Surely toast is an itegrall part of any breakfast .That coupled with the food being cold . Dobbies should review their payment method , by the time I stood in line for coffe then a seperate que for paying then finding a table my breakfast was cold . VERY VERY DISSAPOINTING . This is supposed to be a fast food outlet .

The food was pleasant enough but the layout of the counters was ridiculous. The actual restaurant is beautiful well lit and spacious. The staff behind the panini counter were rude and unhelpful. Because of this I won’t be visiting again.

Food and drink were good, but really, the serving staff have got to get some basic customer service updates. They acknowledge customers orders with the briefest nod and continue their own conversation, which clearly has priority. Only redeeming factor was the very polite cashier, but the staff serving behind the customers will lose customers. I certainly won't go back.

Staff were rude and unwelcoming. The food was average but the whole sprawling counter and ordering layout was a nightmare. Different counters for different things which meant by time I negotiated a family of 6 through the process our food was cold. The staff were very unhelpful, and the woman behind the panini counter was rude and huffy. Real shame as the restuaant itself was very spacious, clean and bright.

Booked afternoon tea for myself and my 2 children. Very good value for money the kids have a seperate afternoon tea menu and they loved it. We were able to take home what we couldnt eat. What surprised me was that we were able to box up the extra afternoons teas ourselves and not have the stands taking away and boxed up by a member of staff. Other restaurants should take heed and maybe follow this. Will defo be back.

Comí en Dobbies muchas veces para el desayuno y el almuerzo, pero nunca tomé el té de la tarde hasta hoy. Excelente. Buena relación calidad-precio y muy sabroso. Un montón de sándwiches en pan fresco encantador. Conseguimos salmón ahumado y queso crema, jamón, mayonesa de huevo y pollo de coronación. También volovilizadores y crujientes. Y encantadores mini dulces: bollos, fresas bañadas en chocolate, cheesecake de limón, esponja Victoria, brownie, galletas de mantequilla de caramelo. 11 por persona que merece la pena. Mi única crítica es que no estaba interesado en el filtro de café, así que fui al mostrador y compré un capucino. Sin duda volveremos?

Fantastic place to eat ,excellent food ,reasonably priced ,plenty parking a joy to visit ,great selection of plants to make your garden look lovely

Asked for an extra hot late from Lee Anne in the coffee shop and guess what we got one.. Think she needs to be training the rest though

Llegó no mucho después de que abriera el restaurante y, desafortunadamente, no hay bollos en exhibición. Went for breakfast and was served food quickly but the wait for tea+coffee was too long making the breakfast cold! There needs more staff on the drinks side of things! The breakfast was reasonably tasty but cold and the toast was rock hard!

Devuelto a comprar bebidas. ¡Un sistema ridículo de servirse con té en un área y luego tener que mudarse a otra área para esperar a que se lo sirvan con café! Luego hice cola otra vez para pagar las bebidas con mi paciencia muy delgada. Todo esto consume mucho tiempo e innecesario. Cuando finalmente tuve la oportunidad de comer, los guisantes estaban muy fríos, las patatas fritas estaban muy lejos del calor y el pescado no estaba tan caliente como debería haber estado. ¡La mejor salsa tártara era lo mejor del plato! Muy decepcionante ya que el almuerzo en el sábado suele ser un placer, pero no tanto en este caso.

Decided to try the Dobbies breakfast with family and that was where my mistake began. Huge queue meaning food was lukewarm by the time we got to the table. Fried egg appeared to be made of rubber, mushrooms (apparently steamed) were completely raw and the restaurant itself was filthy. No staff cleaning up around the tables that we saw so we just sat with a mixture of haggis, black pudding and beans at our feet. Don’t do it!

Service awful virtually no staff and those there were doing you a favour serving you. Soup was luke warm and tasteless, bread rock hard and inedible, kids meal which took for ever was similarly luke warm. Salad must have been made for some time and was wilted and unappetising. The sandwich filling was mostly mayonnaise. All told the worst £26.75 ever spent on food. First and last visit.

We were busy shopping and felt a bit peckish so decided to pop into Dobbies as we'd done in the past. This time we just had a nice bowl of soup with wholemeal bread and croutons & a coffee each. Good thick lentil & bacon soup in a large bowl so it filled the bill perfectly. Nice restaurant looking out to the garden centre.

We have had lunch here on many occasions and the food has always been very reasonable, which kept us coming back time after time, but today's lunch was terrible.

My wife and I attended the restaurant today and ordered the most basic of hot drinks on offer. A hot luxury mug of hot chocolate,{for myself) as described on the menu as a large cup adorned with the usual, hot chocolate topped with cream and marshmallows. For my wife, an Americano with hot milk on the side. As a reasonably regular recipient of luxurious hot chocolate drinks from across different venues in the Scottish Highlands, I expected to receive the usual uniformity of the luxury chocolate drink. To date this has consisted of the usual tall mug containing with a strong rich mix of hot chocolate , topped with whipped cream (or squirty cream ) and finished with tantalising coloured marshmallows arranged on the top.(delicious) Unfortunately Dobbies version of this truly iconic tonic was less then expected. I received a large cup containing almost hot milk with a trace of some sort of chocolate substitute which managed to add colour but little taste. The most damming aspect of this treat was the addition of perhaps five or six of those really small cooking marshmallows, and then topped with squirty cream. The result was an insipid fusion of almost chocolate tasting liquid, the novelty aspect was trying to salvage the three or four tiny marshmallows before they dispersed amongst the light brown wash and quickly evaporating squirty cream. I have to confess that I watched the lady prepare the beverage, bish bash bosh, it took seconds, the lady was pleasant enough and even presented the beverage with a smile. As I landed at my table I sort of expected what I was about to receive. I don't blame the member of staff, perhaps a training need, its hard to botch up such a simple and tried recipe. My wife received an Americano with hot milk on the side, it wasn't hot. We have attended Dobbies on previous occasions without cause to complain, To receive what resembled a warm cup of semi skimmed milk that had barely been exposed to a coco bean was rather disappointing for the price of £2.85

Hablamos con un miembro del personal en el bar de sándwiches y ella señaló algunos sándwiches en caja como los únicos que quedaban, así que tomamos un atún blanco (hecho con 2 rebanadas de pan blanco). Lo pagamos en la caja junto con bebidas y una galleta. Así que 2 miembros del personal vieron lo que tenemos. El recibo mostraba que habíamos pagado 4. 65 para el sandwich! ! Subí y pregunté el costo más tarde (pensé que me podrían haber cobrado por una sopa y un combo de sándwich). Resulta que deberíamos haber conseguido ensalada y patatas fritas, pero ningún miembro del personal lo señaló. Arrancar.

We are just home after having a day out at the retail park in Inverness24 members from the sunshine club from Aviemore travelled by mini buses for a day out to do so e shopping We had booked afternoon tea at Dobbies and did we all enjoy it!!The tea was served very quickly then the cake stands appeared .Lovely selection of sandwiches scones butter jam and cream then we had sponge cakes with cream

Went today with the kids lasagna was the worst I have ever had like baby food between pasta sheets horrible.Thdn charged 1.75 for a can of coke!!! Never again.

Visiting our son and his family, almost the first thing we did was to go out to lunch at Dobbie’s in Inverness. The traditional soup and a sandwich was available and we all had those. However, as the sandwich/baguettes were quite large for me and my wife, we shared one between the two of us. This proved to be a quite adequate lunch ; tasty and well cooked. The small tables made it a little difficult to accommodate all the dishes but this is a minor quibble. Looking at the food on display, (and seeing other diners’ plates!), we would have been happy to return regularly if we had been “locals” and try some other items on the menu.

We visited both for lunch and breakfast.

Paramos para tomar un almuerzo ligero aquí con mi esposa y dos niños menores vegetariana 10. Todo a la izquierda con las barrigas después de una comida deliciosa sopa de lentejas (corazón y una losa)! ! Mi hija derrotados por el tamaño de sus patatas al horno con queso y frijoles. Esperar esperar durante la hora punta para su comida, pero que es preferible para asegurar la comida es fresca. Sin duda una mejora general que cuando visitamos el año pasado.

Great veggie breakfast although only one sausage. There is some lovely vegetarian haggis’s on the market that would have made it a Scottish veggie breakfast. Would return friendly happy staff

Had breakfast here on a Wednesday morning. Reasonable price for what you get, but drinks are paid separately. Nice friendly staff. Food is quite nice, not piping hot as it is a buffet, but tasted quite fresh. Good coffee. Would return.

Plenty of choice for food, kids meals, soup and sandwiches, main meals, and a great choice of soft drinks too, but the best of all is their choice of cakes, well worth the visit, We will be returning, and taking them up on the offer of royalty card next time.

I must say a very poor quality buffet breakfast 7 item with rock hard toast that was obviously sitting under the heat lamps for ages as was clearly visible. A cardboard slice of bacon. Not a great advert at all and extremely dissapointing. Haggis was nice as was the square sausage but would not rush back at all.

Siendo de los Estados Unidos, nunca he visto un lugar como este. No sé por qué no tienen. Tienen suministros de jardín, ropa, souvenirs, y aparentemente todo. . Y un restaurante!. Tuve que ir y verlo por mí mismo. Y cuando vi todas las opciones de comida! Sinceramente, me enganchó cuando vi el Angel chispa tarta. Se fija, y cafetería de comidas calientes, bocadillos, productos horneados, patatas fritas, y muchas cosas para mencionar. Y hay un montón de asientos. Si me adinerados, me gustaría abrir una aquí en Florida.

Having been to the post office next door I decided to pop in for a quick jacket potato. On first impressions the cafe looked very nice, especially the cakes, and the price of £3.95 for a jacket potato with just butter (no filling) felt reasonable.

Just a short walk from the Premier Inn East and is a nice place to enjoy a hearty breakfast. If you like value for money this is the place for you.

Cannot recommend this dobbies enough! Staff are really friendly and the food was fresh and homemade! Fantastic broccoli and Stilton soup! Thank you again for a great experience!

Un Salto a almorzar con un amigo, ambos con abundante eligió patatas chaqueta, tenía gambas mayonesa. No te puedes equivocar con eso? Así que pueden nadar en mayonesa, gambas muy crudos que causó patata ir blanda. Hubiera protestado pero fue tener buena ponerse con un amigo. En ocasión anterior teníamos sopa, que volvimos porque era tan soso. Debe recordar mi no dar luego una 3ª oportunidad. Muy pobre.

Shocking attitude I asked for a half portion of soup for a 4year old and was told "we don't server half portions" so i asked for an empty bowl when i ordered my soup and this seemed to be a problem had to ask again and was finally give one.

Decided to stop here on route to Dingwall for a spot of lunch. My wife has been before and she said it was pretty good. Have to say it’s quite a nice restaurant, staff were great and very chatty and the food on offer all looked good. Stupidly I went for the Mac and cheese as the wife said it was good. Just shows you that everyone’s taste are different. She liked it I didn’t. It tasted cheap and was quite runny, not really what you expect when that and a can of coke, oh and a packet of crisps costs you nearly £11. Reasonable food but well overpriced.

Fui con mis dos niños pequeños su semana. Hay una buena variedad de comida razonable clásicos sopas/patatas al horno/panini. Estaba bastante ocupado cuando fuimos y una losa para mi hijo tomó un largo tiempo aparecen sorprendentemente. Horneado de patatas con chili y queso era genial. Había limitado las comidas principales menú disponible aunque estuvimos allí en el momento pico de almuerzo. No ideal o perfecta adecuada

Pop in here regularly for a coffee and a scone but recently the scones have been dreadful, in fact my other half actually complained about his and that is something he never does!!!!

Popped in for a quick visit looking for something different for a Christmas gift, which was got. Decided to have a coffee we have a members card, worse tea and coffee ever from a Doubles, cup not clean, staff friendly but service awful, not sure if I would go back

Tuvimos una gran comida muy caliente, plato era delgado café caliente era gran variedad de tartas fue muy buena. El personal iba por las mesas comprobando si todo el mundo estaba bien aunque muy concurrida, las mesas estaban despejado y limpiado enseguida. Alarma contra edificio aclaró de inmediato por el personal, que sabían lo que estaban haciendo. Toda la comida caliente sustituye cuando volvimos. Es muy satisfactorio ver que la gestión (Karen) es escuchar comentarios. gracias por un magnífico almuerzo.

A beautiful Christmas lunch which was piping hot and our plates were overflowing. Absolutely fantastic service- table service was perfect and all the staff were very friendly. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Solía ser el mejor lugar para desayunar en Inverness y siempre comprar algo en la tienda cuando estuvimos allí. Fuimos en el día de hoy y que han puesto los precios del desayuno hasta alrededor de 20% y redujo la elección. Que no incluyen lorne...

El servicio es muy pobre como inútil, posiblemente podría haber sido más razonable no patatas asadas en 1. 45 muy cara bollo todos extras como mantequilla mermelada cara las verduras macarrones estaba fría piedra debería ser una advertencia sanitaria en el lugar

Visited for a late lunch with 2 others. Reasonable menu, tasty food and reasonably priced. Good array of cakes to choose from.
