What a bad place to go.i went here whilst on holiday as it’s attached to other shops. Whilst in Dobbies I needed to use the loo and they are the worst ever. I used the loos in the Waitrose store attached and they are the most disgusting I have seen in ages .their is graffiti all over the Mirror their was mud on the floor and none of the Hot taps worked .these toilets had apparently been checked 10 mins before hand I then used the cafe after walking around with my disabled farthing law whom was in a wheelchair and multiple staff walking around no one asked if they could assist us when we finally found a table I then had to go and Que for over 15 mins to then be served by someone called Kate with attitude .she did not ask me if I had any allergies but I heated her ask the person before and after me .when my pot of tea was ready it was all Spilled over the tray which in turn then spilled onto the table .

My husband and I visited for lunch today. We would advise against using the tongs by the cakes and I will come onto why. We paid almost £30 for a cheese and pickle sandwich and chips, and a cheese and ham toastie with chips, both with soft drinks. We queued for 10/15 minutes to place our order. When the food came, the plates themselves were too small for the food, so the salad, chips and sandwiches were all piled on top of each other. This meant that the food was covered in coleslaw from the salad. My husband has an allergy to an ingredient in store bought mayonnaise, so although he usually just avoids it when coleslaw comes with food, he had difficulty eating a large portion of his food as it was all covered in the coleslaw. The bread on the cheese and pickle sandwich that I ate was stale, and the chips were quite frankly dreadful. Overall, I would have preferred a super market sandwich meal deal. It would have been fresher and a fraction of the cost. However, by far the most concerning thing that we witnessed was seeing a member of staff pick up some serving tongs that had fallen off the cake table (which is self serve) and onto the floor, and put it straight back on top of the cakes to be used. How can a place with such an attitude to hygiene pass its food hygiene rating?! It is so sad to see a cafe which once had such great food and such high standards fall by the wayside when it comes to its food. This garden centre has been a regular stopping point on my trips to Wales for many years and it was always a highlight to eat here - they used to make fabulous quiches and chips. Now, sadly, that is a distant memory and I will be finding a new pit stop when passing through the area.

Visited with 3 grandchildren aged 2-10 , and certainly wish I hadn’t wasted my £45 (includes photos). Both boys got identical games!! And although Santa seemed a nice gent his beard was so poor it was awful ! Dobbies feedback “ The presents are predetermined based on the age group that you choose, as an example a 6-7 year old will get a different present to an 8-10 year old however as you chose 8+ for both children they are the same present. I have suggested to our head office that we have 2 presents per age group but that decision is not for me to make. Once again thank you for the feedback, it's really helpful and assists us on making changes for future children. “ Must remember not to take similar aged children!!!!! I DEFINITELY WONT BE COMING BACK OR RECOMMENDING IT

My husband and I met a friend here for breakfast. Worst one ever. It all looked like it had been cooked and plated up hours ago. Bacon was so hard and dried up the knife wouldn't cut through it. Beans were dried up, hash brown hard, everything was barely luke warm. The mushroom on my husbands vegetarian b/fast was literally dripping in oil, yuk. The server who brought the food to the table was very rude, one of the meals were wrong and she stood there and blamed us. Not a good experience in any shape or form and a complete waste of money. Won't be coming back. It used to be a pleasant experience coming here but not any more, what has gone wrong. 🤔

Best Festive Afternoon Tea. The table was laid out & reserved ready for us. Food was so tasty and Christmas themed. The cinnamon scone and small Christmas pudding were a bonus. The bread was really fresh and an excellent amount of filling. Good choice of unusual cakes and different types of scones. Refilled Tea and coffee too. So highly recommended, although we might have been the first to try the festive afternoon tea as everyone was admiring the plates. Staff were amazing too, very attentive!

Went with my daughter for a browse around and a spot of lunch before picking the children up from school. The displays in the store with all the various items on sale from plants, gardening items, household goods etc are all well presented. You can even go into the area where various clothing retailers have a wide variety on offer. The restaurant was quite busy but we did not have to wait long for the food to come. the waitress was very friendly and the food good and well presented. My only comment was that the lasagna was slightly over cooked but they kindly replaced the salad with some lovely chips. The atmosphere was very relaxed and we both enjoyed ourselves. Will go again again perhaps for a Christmas treat to ourselves.

Had afternoon tea. Highly recommended. The sandwiches and cakes were plentiful and of high quality. Everything was well presented. What you see on the advertising posters is what you get. The staff were friendly and polite. Outstanding value. It's a must try, you will not be disappointed.

Called here intending to have lunch. Normally we love Dobbies but first impressions were not good. The carpet leading down to cafe was disgustingly dirty, all stained . We decided to have lunch before looking round. We noticed there was a covered outside area and decided to eat in there. Upon walking in we could not believe how dirty it was. Floor was filthy, never been cleaned in years, piles of old leaves in corners, tables in disarray, no condiments or table number. Vines and climbing plants hanging down, the whole area was dirty and neglected. Decided to leave and not eat there and wont be going back. Totally disappointing visit.

Im sitting in here now with my elderly mum, the centre itself is fabulous but I have to give 10/10 to the cafe, Emma (I only know her name as she served us) and the team are fantastic, what an absolute pleasure. The food was absolutely delicious, I think I might have to move here!!

I prebooked an afternoon tea for my wife and myself. The restaurant was clean with plenty of helpful staff. When it arrived, we were amazed at the quality and quantity of the food - one of the best afternoon teas we have had. Would thoroughly recommend.

Thanks for putting vegan options on your menu. The symbols indicating vegetarian, vegan, gluten etc were very useful. The vegan salad l had was more of a side salad than the main meal it was described as. All the other main meal options contained 600 to 700 calories, this vegan main had under 400. The other people l was dining with had to give me some of their chips to pad out my lunch. The vegan salad really needed more substance such as some garlic bread or pasta. We all had tea and scones later on which were the worst scones we have had for a long time. Really top quality plants but very noisy as the plants were next to the A5. Lovely friendly helpful staff. Didn’t enjoy our experience due to road noise and poor food quality.

We had lunch here ; service was chaotic as the hjot food was off due to machinery break-down and staff shortages and it being unclear that you had to go to table first even though it looked like a normal queueing system. The sandwiches were poor ; the bread ,supposedly brown , was more like wallpaper paste and the cheese sandwich had thin tasteless cheese slices, though the egg mayonaise filling was ok. Cake for afters was nice but expensive but the scone was awful - pappy and fell to bits if any attempt was made to put jam or cream on it. Going through the motions is how I would describe it.

Had breakfast yesterday morning, food cold, scrambled eggs had been microwaved, mushrooms where disgusting, the price £7.00, definitely not worth going back again. 1 x male staff member running around like a headless chicken, he didn't know which way to turn.

Been for lunch today and ordered the soup carrot and butternut squash which was OK, I asked for a brown roll but instead I got boring sliced brown so i asked for a roll and was told they didn't have any but could get me seedy one, that came straight from the freezer I think and was the so dry it would of made good bread crumbs .not worth £7.45 for the tiny bowl of soup 😡

I hate giving poor reviews but despite receiving a refund the way the fish fingers were supplied as dry, tough and over baked not only mine but my partner’s as well left us both very disappointed as we were expecting a nice meal after a pleasant walk. Apologies were received but a simple cook for fish fingers appears beyond the abilities of the “cook”. Mind you the roll was ok. We expect better on our next trip.

What a find we were staying at Ludlow Touring site and booked Sunday lunch at The Wheatsheaf . The pub was really welcoming warm and comfortable. We were two couples who went for Sunday lunch and we all agreed it was the best Sunday lunch we had had at a pub and really good value . The beef and lamb were really tender and there was a good selection of vegetables all cooked perfectly. The service was good and nothing too much trouble. Thank you for making our first visit a success
