Dixy Chicken in South Tyneside

We fancied a change so thought a lovely family meal/takeaway from Dixy Chicken! Never again!!! We ordered a family meal to which 1 pizza was missing. Chicken tasted undercooked! All the other food was cold. When the missing pizza turned up 30mins later, this was also cold. Will never be ordering from here again! Absolute waste of money!

Me and my wonderful family went there after a trip to the beach. The food was amazeballs, we order the the sizzler meal and spicy Mexican peri peri rice box both tasted fantastic. The service was great and polite as one would hope for, most of all my family was very happy especially our little 9 month she just tucked in to some choc ice scream.

About 1.30am I went to this shop after I had been out, this was not a drunken stop for food. I was taking it home sober, I ordered the Mexican loaded box meal costing £7.49 I ordered classic as I can't eat spicy food as I explained. I got the boneless version so it was not Mexican at all. This was meant to be a burger, I got this. And it was extremely spicy the chicken strips. I did not get many popcorn chicken, also my baked beans side wasn't there. I feel he may have thought I was part of the drunken people out on a bank holiday and I feel tricked.

I decided to try Dixy Chicken for a change and on initial appearance it seemed OK. I was stood waiting for six minutes and nobody was present to take a food order, there was somebody scrubbing a grill whilst on a mobile phone and two others members laughing and joking towards the departure door from the kitchen to the prep area. There was also up to 40 portions of food cooked off and drying out severely by the discolouration on the batter, I found the customer service to be the height of unprofessionalism.

The food is decent from this place, usually satisfies the taste buds BUT their service is questionable at best. I always seem to have to wait 20-30 mins over the quoted collection time, every time. Shame because the food is decent quality and good value for money.

Popped in as had tried previously the food network elsewhere and chicken was quite normal. Although quality of food here is low. The best is to begin... The staff... rude, cheeky, serving old re fried chips and claiming that just done 2 minutes ago.

We decided to use the Dixy Chicken website to order and the order was accepted. After waiting 30 minutes we then received a phone call telling us that orders were not accepted after 12 AM. I called back to ask why the website accepted the order and also why it took them 30 minutes to call us and let us know. The response was simply that they did not bother to update the website. No offer of redemption at all. They did not seem too bothered that they had completely wasted half an hour of our time.

Mi hijo es un gran fan KFC, así que pensé que para una alternativa que intentaría Dixy pollo el servicio fue muy lento. Los nuggets y patatas fritas no gusto a mis hijos y uno de los miembros del personal necesario para salir y ordenada hasta un poco. no volver

Beautifully cooked chicken - once again. The standard of service and quality of the food is consistently high here. I'd definitely rate it above KFC. There's a good variety of combos on the menu, too.
