Me and my friend just left the coffee shop - -amazing coffee and amazing service!

Small cafe with a very friendly owner who cooks everything herself and it's all fresh. I met a colleague there for coffee and I added a delicious granola bar. We each came away with a pastry that was still warm from the oven.

The best coffee in Brighton. Bea goes above and beyond to make your experience an exceptional one. The traditional Cypriot bread was also incredibly yummy! Highly recommend! ❤️

🤍 I visited this place with my boyfriend, and I was happy that the lovely owner welcomed us so warmly. I decided to visit after seeing positive reviews on a Korean website, and I am very satisfied with the entire experience, including the taste of the coffee. It was my first time visiting Brighton, and thanks to the owner, I remembered the area very fondly. The cafe is full of love. I definitely want to visit again before I return to London. The owner/barista was so nice and accommodating. Shes friendly and will make you feel at home. It’s a small cafe in st james but they serve lovely coffeee here!

Lovely coffee shop in Kemptown Honestly the best tasting coffee I have had in England.

Absolutely delicious food and brilliant, friendly atmosphere. I went last Saturday with friends and what a delicious treat awaits. I had a beautiful Greek salad, with cheesy garlic bread bites and warm homemade banana cake washed down with Earl Grey Tea. Thanks Bengu, you are now officially my favourite venue in Brighton.

Drawn in by the chilled, relaxed atmosphere while I was on my way to the beach. I fancied a quick bite, and enjoyed meeting the wonderful cook, Bengü. The Cypriot Panini was delicious, vegetarian, and complemented by a stunning olive oil. Loved chatting to Bengü about Cyprus, and her life in the Med - really made a quick visit quite pleasant and memorable. I will return.

Very friendly hostess & service is amazing.

Simultaneously energetic and relaxed atmosphere. The woman who runs this place is a bit of a superhero. She is an incredible cook and barista, and a character to boot. Interesting flavours you don’t get at your everyday café. Cypriot lunches. Delicious! A lot of regulars go here so there is a sense of community. I would recommend eating *outside* the main lunch hours of 12-2 as it is quite small so you’d likely not get a seat if you went then.

What an incredible cafe! It's a neighborhood coffee shop filled with the most marvelous humans (perfect when you're out on an adventure). The owner makes you feel right at home, and the food and coffee are top notch. If it's crowded, it's worth waiting or coming back a bit later - this cafe shouldn't be missed!

My friend and I chanced upon this small café while in Brighton for the day. We were impressed with the range of drinks, cakes and pastries available. The owner was fun and hospitable. We had an oat latte, Earl Grey tea, Cypriot tahini pastry and a slice of carrot cake. All yummy. Later when I checked my bill I’d been charged over double. I contacted the owner and she refunded me the entire amount, I was not expecting that. Such above and beyond service. We will definitely return.

Now this is an experience not to be missed. The food is simple and absolutely delicious. Being mainly Mediterranean with the same laid back approach of the area the food you can have is whatever they have fresh on the menu. It will also arrive when it is ready. The lady who holds court over all who come in is truly, wonderfully eccentric, funny and needs to be enjoyed. What a great visit. We will go back time after time. Loved it

Great personality and a wonderful breakfast, the sucuk eggs and grilled halloumi was particularly delicious 🤤 the cheese and bacon panini was lush and the mango smoothie was amazing. I recommend this to anyone 18+ with a taste for great food, try the Cypriot breakfast!

My visit to this cozy café was a star of my first visit to Brighton. The owner was so nice and welcoming towards us. It was my first time in Brighton and she helped us have a pleasant start to a beautiful day by the beach. The breakfast was amazing and just as the doctor ordered. I felt a bit bad for her as she was on her own and had a number of customers to serve, but she handled it all so well, and with a big smile on her face. I miss her and the café. Can't wait to go back!🤗

I highly recommend this cafe. The lady there cannot do enough for you and the food is lovely and all cooked to your specification. We had breakfast and smoothies 2 days in the row and will definitely be back when we next visit Brighton.

Fantastic little place in the heart of Kemptown. The sandwiches we had were super fresh and tasted divine, and the atmosphere relaxed and friendly. We will definitely visit again when back in Brighton!

Popped in for lunch, lady owner says doesn't have a menu as it changes all the time, just gave us some options and would make anything we wanted, within reason, but it will be delicious! She seemed to know the first name of every customer, wished I lived nearer. Food was very good & very reasonable. Wonderful find. Highly recommended.

Owner was friendly and fun, despite being rushed off her feet.. so thank you. Only disappointment was that we went back again today and they are closed (Sunday) … I’m sure for a hard earned rest! Lovely smoothies, fab owner! My friend and I stopped for smoothies on a roasting hot day and were made to feel totally at home by Bengu. We went in for a drink and ended up chatting like family. Choice of food looks amazing - beautiful fresh Cypriot choices. I'll be going back next time I'm in Brighton

Had an amazing lunch here, smoothies were delicious and the sandwiches were fresh and tasty. The star of the show was the service though, the ladies were both absolutely lovely and really made our day with their bubbly personalities. Highly recommend this little gem!

Absolutely loved this place. Charming cosy decor, very clean, spotless facilities, the warmest welcome. The owner is a beautiful character that chats to customers, takes orders and whips up food all at the same time. I was there at breakfast and although it was a busy time it only took 30 min from the walk-in to finishing my meal. Will come back for many more of lovely fresh Cypriot food.

I came here after a long day at the beach. The lady working here is so welcoming. She made me a fresh sandwich and smoothie, they were both delicious and very fairly priced. It put a smile on my face!

Cafe Diva is without a doubt the best spot in town. Everything is prepared with love - the coffee is amazing and after months of going due to lockdown, went back today and had the best cortado coffee and a beautiful Cypriot breakfast. It was so nice, lovingly prepared and the staff are so warm and friendly, its a place to become familiar with, a place to revisit and feel looked after. So happy I have started going back, cant wait to be there again!

BEST CAFE IN BRIGHTON AND HOVE! This is by far the best cafe not only on st James street, but the best in Brighton and hove. It’s a beautiful unique cafe! The owner is an absolute diamond with a heart of gold. So welcoming. Always always greeted with a big smile (I always feel the love) The food is simple divine, very fresh and good quality. The coffee is lovely and I’m sure the fact that she makes it with love just makes it that bit more nicer than everywhere else. TOASTIES ARE TO DIE FOR ❤️❤️❤️

Unique coffee shop on St. James street. Wonderful owner greets you with a big smile, food and drinks are excellent. One gets the sense that this is much more than a place to eat and drink, a place where people go to meet and feel connected.

I stopped in there this morning as my regular place was closed, and honestly I was happy I went there! I was greeted and made very welcome. The person who was working was very chatty and lovely. A customer in there recommended the banana cake and quite honestly - it was incredible. The person who worked there had made it and it was amazing, they gave me a huge slice too! I will definitely be going back - thank you for the lovely coffee and cake x Steph

Don't know, never been there but Ggogle asked me to leave a review. I'm sure it's lovely and the staff are wonderful. I just have no idea where it is or what they do.

Why is the owner so miserable? I understand businesses are struggling right now, so I try and support independent small businesses. However I always leave this cafe feeling depressed and with her sadness on me. She makes no attempt at conversation, the place looks a little dirty and run down,she prefers to play games on her phone. Sadly this will be my last visit and she has lost my support.

I love Diva, food is outstanding and Bengu the cafe owner is a sweetheart. This cafe is a hidden gem of st James Street. My favourite wrap is a Diva queen, fried cheese, fried potatoes and spinach, whats not too love. Thanks Diva and co. You're the best. Peter

Nuestro almuerzo fue absolutamente delicioso y la bebida de bayas / jengibre fue excelente con el nivel justo de jengibre - ¡chispeante! El servicio fue muy amable, pero no agobiante. Definitivamente recomendaría Diva y lo visitaré nuevamente cuando esté en Brighton.

Decidimos venir aquí para un desayuno tardío ya que estaba cerca de nuestro hotel, ¡y no nos decepcionó! Recibí una muy cálida bienvenida por parte de la señora que nos atendió, y nada fue un problema. Tuve el pollo a la parrilla, halloumi y baguette piccalilli, ¡fue tan agradable! ¡Sabía tan fresco y el pan sabía como si hubiera sido recién horneado en el horno! Mi compañero tenía el desayuno inglés completo que también disfrutó mucho. Tuve un delicioso batido de bayas mixtas, la ventaja adicional fue que pude comerlo sin plátano (alérgico) ya que están recién hechos. La comida era fresca y hecha a pedido. La señora se ofreció amablemente a ponerle un poco de mango, lo cual fue un buen toque. Mi compañero tomó un capuchino que también fue muy agradable. Todo tenía un precio razonable y una excelente relación calidad-precio. Me sentí bienvenido durante toda la visita y no dudaría en volver si visitáramos Brighton nuevamente. :) Recomendaría a los visitantes de Brighton que prueben aquí al menos una vez cuando lo visiten.

Esta es la cafetería más hermosa de Brightons Kemp Town. Tiene un ambiente como ningún otro con el servicio más cordial que jamás haya existido. El café está recién molido y los desayunos y los increíbles envoltorios preparados en el lugar son un verdadero placer. Tan sabroso. Los precios también son razonables. Si estás en la zona, acércate para tomar un café y reírte. ¡No te arrepentirás!

Gorgeous, clean, quirky little caff. The artwork makes for an interesting watch over a cuppa. Enjoyed a hot chocolate, muffin and some great conversation with the staff. Delightful little place you could easily walk past - but don't! I noticed it opens into a cinema downstairs; will try next time I'm down. Highly recommended!

La comida aquí es deliciosa, pero será el personal en el que te quedes. El propietario es una delicia, muy alegre y acogedor, atento y servicial en cada oportunidad. Esto hizo que la atmósfera fuera increíble con conversaciones que fluían entre mí y otros clientes. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente!

The quality of both coffee and food here is exceptional, second only to the atmosphere. The Cypriot breakfast beats a traditional fry-up hands down for both flavour and health benefits. Always gets 5 stars from me!

The place is a little weird but the food is great and the service is exceptional. I've had the best smoothie of my life (Berry Twist), husband had a Cyprus Panini with mint which was also excellent. I wish we had a place like this in London! :)

Comida encantadora, excelente té, clientela amable y un gran personal. Lovely breakfast food and drink. Reasonable prices and polite staff. Large portion sizes too, even offered to wrap what we couldn’t finish. Brilliant unique breakfast. Will go again when visiting Brighton.

Great Cafe, had the Cypriot Breakfast so good, wish I had taken a picture but was to busy enjoying it. Great Staff, made a very rainy Monday an awful lot better. Went and had a sneaky look at the cinema room downstairs very intriguing. 🤔🎬. Hopefully will be able to go back soon 🤗

Whilst just walking by, I popped in for a cup of tea. Delightful atmosphere and staff. I asked for skimmed milk but they didn’t have any but found me some soya milk instead. Very helpful and delicious tea.

Great menu and lovely customer service. Was a bit loud, I didn’t mind it so much but my friend did, so not always going to be a quiet place.

This cafe is welcoming and has a strong community feel. I had a delicious smoothie and a bagel with feta cheese. Yummy!

Mi hermana y yo estuvimos en Brighton por el día y tropezamos con Diva por casualidad. ¡Qué hallazgo! La comida era estupenda, pero lo que realmente hizo fue el ambiente y la personalidad de las dos mujeres que trabajan allí. Es un lugar pequeño y entre estas dos mujeres y varios clientes habituales, sentimos que nos habían invitado a una sala de estar familiar cálida y acogedora. Mucho chat, personas en varias mesas uniéndose en la misma conversación. Se sentía como un verdadero centro comunitario, y fue un placer ser parte de él. Sopa de harissa impresionante también!
