The restaurant is excellent. I tried their biryani and Peter Chicken and the taste was delicious. The restaurant is big and crowded. I came without a prior reservation and waited five minutes. The service took 12.5% ​​from me.

We always love Dishoom, all locations but particularly this one as it’s closest to home! The food is delicious abd the service fantastic. They also do live jazz some evenings. Will keep returning.

The food and service were top notch. The staff was so accommodating and kind. Rosario was our waiter he was incredible and walked us through the menu and made amazing recommendations.

The ambiance of Dishoom was great, however, the food fell short. The tandoor chaat was chunky sweet potatoes and overall felt sweet to the taste. The pav bhaji, chole puri halwa were good. However there was only 1 entree option for vegetarian. Most of the vegetarian optionss were small plates options. Reading the reviews, we were expecting a better menu choice but we were disappointed.

Went twice during my trip in London and food was delicious had the nann and garlic nann bread. The starter chicken dishes were great and we event got to try a complementary Chai Latte

Hands down one of the best Indian restaurants I’ve tried! Amazing design on the inside of the building and great ambience, only downside is the main room was a bit loud. But the real star of the show is the food: we had a black lentil dahl that was just fantastic, so creamy and flavorful! The Ruby chicken is also a recommended dish and all the breads are incredibly tasty too! Such a great lunch!

Everyone has been recommending and raving about this place. I admit it's nice and the food is tasty. However, is the best Indian food I had or worth that huge of a hype? I don't think so. I would come back again, to give it another go and try some of the other dishes to form an opinion. Their briyani is tasty, but not 5star, the chai is mid. The naan was great tho. Also disappointed that raita does not come with the briyani by defaul and you need to pay extra!

Love dishoom! Some dishes can be spicy, but the staff is super helpful with pointing things out that are mild if that is your preference.

Amazing food, great service! We had chicken tikka and nihari biryani. Both were delicious. Especially the chicken. Only change I’d recommend is there could be less yelling groups of guests 😅

If I could give any more stars in service, I would - Iulian was an excellent server - don’t forget to ask for him when you’re visiting Dishoom Kensington. The food was 10/10 but the service was 100/10. Must try - Paneer Tikka, Okra Fries, House Chaat, Black dal.

The customer service is beyond - I have a brazil nut allergy and the staff took it so seriously. I really appreciate the care they put into it. The food was also phenomenal, the next time I’m in London I will be sure to return.

How they do it is beyond me, but this might be one of the best restaurants I have ever dined. The service was quick, the food was phenomenal, and all the while it looked like the employees looked like they were having fun?!! The naan rolls are to die for, and the hospitality is ridiculously great. Definitely a massive recommendation!

WOW! What an absolutely fantastic lunch. I have visited many Dishoom restaurants around London but I have to say, I think Kensington Dishoom is my favourite. The atmosphere and service is unparalleled. Just a short walk from Westfields, we love parking and walking over. But there are tube stations dotted just minutes away! The food, the service and everything about this restaurant is nothing short of perfect. See notes for the ideal vegetarian menu choice for two!

My experience at Dishoom Kensington was truly memorable. The atmosphere transported me to Bombay with its warm lighting, vintage decor, and lively ambiance. The only authentic Indian place in Europe. Period.

Indian food is tricky in terms of allergies but Dishoom used to be the best place for a person with nut allergies to enjoy quality Indian cuisine. Unfortunately not anymore - I had a very bad experience where pretty much everything on the menu might contain nuts and the staff could not guarantee safe preparations. The staff were very welcoming at first but didn’t really care about our table afterwards - very poor service. Ridiculous total cost for the whole dinner considering rice & yogurt was the only safe option for me….

The food was great as well as the service. I’ll definitely come back.

We were given a table almost touching the neighbouring table, in a jam-packed restaurant where the atmosphere was frenetic, lots of staff rushing around, and the overall noise was deafening. We had to speak loudly to hear each other. Hardly the special atmosphere for a special anniversary dinner I had hoped for. It felt less like an up-market restaurant, and more like a big, high-school lunch canteen. As I feared when seeing how crowded the place was, the food and service were equally disappointing. Waiter was moody and impatient, acting like he didn’t want to be there. When we asked a question regarding the menu, he grunted a monosyllabic reply. Multiple staff members avoided eye contact when we attempted to request more water shouting “not my section!”. My pregnant wife almost passed out because of the heat inside. When I asked for the bill while my wife in the ladies room, a manager asked me if everything had been good, and picked-up from my less-than-enthusiastic reply that it wasn't. We then got a complimentary ice-cream without being asked if we wanted one, as if this would make everything better! Pathetic.

I’ve been on my study abroad about an hour away from London, every time ive gone to London I’ve made it appoint to come here because it is so cozy and comforting and delicious and spectacular and amazing. The staff, the ambience, the food, everything is so amazing.

Literally everyone I've talked to about Indian food in London has told me that this place is a must-try. I truly just thought it was OK and feel that there are some local Indian places where I live that I found to be better, but what do I know? A lot of local Indians were present the night I was there so maybe I'm just not well-versed enough in Indian cuisine to be a good judge. The curries we got were good and I really enjoyed the naan. Just the perfect amount of garlic and not too oily. The mango lassis were a hit for me as well. In short, I'm not sure I was wowed enough to be willing to stand in line again for the food. I have to say though that they totally have a process down. When you first get there, you're asked to check in, and you maybe wait about 10-15 minutes outside, and then you're ushered inside the lobby to sit. If there's room immediately in the bar, they seat you there first. Once in the bar, you wait another 20-30 minutes but you're welcome to order drinks before they shift you over to your actual dining table. It's such a great and smart way to keep your customers from going mad while waiting for their table and they make more money out of it.

We had a very enjoyable family meal, I thought the menu was priced very well for a family. The food and service were prettt amazing too, thank you Dishoon for a great dinner experience in London!

We had lunch today, veg samosas , paneer roll and chicken biryiani which was nice but a bit dry with little sauce. The sauces provided were vey nice washed down with 3 large bottles of Kingfisher. Nice comfortable seating. The service was good. One thing which was not good was our waitress ( indian girl) in stripey top asking a black colleague ( supervisor/floor mgr) a question which he said you have to think on your feet , repeating this 3 times , this was not helpful or professional. This was overheard by my table and other nearby tables, this needs to be addressed .

A nice ambiance with smiling staffs. This restaurant serve a wide range of Indian cuisines. The food is generally good with a wide range of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food menu. The staffs are helpful and courteous. It is moderately priced owing to its central London location. Check for bookings if going in large groups.
