Dis - De Italian Sausage in Southend-on-Sea

I will keep this short and sweet: clean, great service, and delicious food. Bruschetta, pasta dishes and a sausage hotdog each made with quality ingredients. Simply magnifico! I will come again.

The food is great and the staff make you feel at home. I live nearby and the restaurant now became part of my life in those moments when I’m too tired or fed up to cook. One important detail was when my breakfast took a bit more than usual and I was told that this was because the first plate was not up to standards and they had cooked it again. That’s class! Anyway! Highly recommend!!!

We wanted to try this new delicious looking restaurant. We wasn’t disappointed great friendly service fabulous food which looked smelled and tasted divine. One of our party was vegetarian and said it made a change for it to be so flavoursome. This was a quick visit for lunch but will definitely be back

I visited with my daughter for breakfast .It was lovely and the service was excellent I couldn't fault anything .I will definitely return to try the evening menu ..Very reasonably priced too what's not to like ?

I been in the fabulous restaurant expecting to eat burger and chip, but that was a mistake ! The food was out of this world, it was sooooo good, the burger was so tasty and juicy (I never had a burger so good in my life). I saw the menu and so many nice things I really like to try, I will Be back soo for more. Thank you for the fabulous service from Luca and the great cocktail from Francesco See you soon

We tried this place for the first time Saturday. Only 3 tables in at lunch time. One of the tables was not approached for about 20 minutes and they walked out very unhappy. Very strange menu I felt but willing to give it a go. Was not offered the menu that had the tapas on. I had to ask for it. Our meal arrived. Large portions and the ribs were very tough. We asked for the manager which did take a couple of times of asking but when he came over he dealt with us very well.

Visited this new restaurant in the first week of opening and already the menu has many things crossed out with permanent marker. Ordered a hot dog and was disappointed the sausage was just a cheap frankfurter and not something special as this is meant to be a specialist Italian Sausage place I presume? We were a table of 7 adults and we could not be accommodated all on one table so had to split across 2 tables which was not good. Despite this we got charged a compulsory service charge for being a large group on top of some rather pricey dishes. Atmosphere was lacking with a young security guard wearing a stab vest staring at you whilst eating and it was so bright in the restaurant, I considered getting my sunglasses out my car! I understand this was the first week of operating so maybe some teething problems. I may try it again later in the year but I’m going to be in no rush to go back.

Lovely new restaurant, have put a lot of effort into making a welcoming modern restaurant. Food was incredible, polenta fritters were to die for! Customer service was brilliant, very friendly staff and nothing was too much trouble. Will definitely be back!

A lot of work has gone into this brand new family owned restaurant based in Southend on sea. The food was amazing and the attention to detail was fantastic. The chicken wing starters were the best we have ever had. I am also so happy to find a restaurant that has good lighting as I suffer as lots do in dark restaurants to see menus well done. I look forward to my next visit.

We ate here a few nights ago, the meal was exceptional. I can highly recommend the aubergine parmigiana. It was the best I have had. The Squid was delicious as was the chicken. The staff were very friendly and made our evening a great one. Thank you.

20/1/22 - The food is fantastic! The menu has a lot to offer, containing authentic Italian twists to each meal. The staff are attentive and eager to please, providing a very welcoming atmosphere. We will definitely be coming back! 10/10 (Couple Visit) UPDATE 30/1/22 - We have now sampled all three menus, since my original review, breakfast, lunch and dinner. To say we have been hugely satisfied would be an understatement, the food and tastes are phenomenal and portion sizes are perfect! As ever, the staff were welcoming and catered to our every need. The decor is beautifully done, giving the restaurant a clean and bright presence. Well done DIS! (Family visits) 🏆
