Dipna Anand Kitchen & Bar in Milton Keynes

We really enjoyed our visit. As vegetarians we found the menu excellent and the service and attention to detail, second to none. A very good place to eat.

Absolutely superb food in a well designed light and airy restaurant. Outside of London the best Indian Restaurant in MK, shows its 'Brilliant' heritage.

Had heard good things and so thought we would go for a late Sunday lunch. Firstly…..booked for 4.30 then later realised they close at 5. Don’t understand why they took booking for a half hour slot. Could not call to change as no phone number so did it all online. We were looking forward to trying the curries. On arrival told no curries available at all but could have brunch menu, starters etc only. Bit odd. We asked waitress and she said that is their weekend offering. Not sure we would have booked if this was clear on their website. It did not say this anywhere. So we ordered two meat thalis and chicken tikka from brunch menu. Food was very good and could not fault anything. Service - bit too much. Within five mins of food on table had 3 staff asking if all was ok. Had hardly taken a bite! Then not asked for more drinks. At one point saw barman walking around on phone face timing and showing restaurant on phone. Odd! Will return to have curries as food was good and venue nice.

It’s average, I was expecting authentic food and it wasn’t. Not going to be in a rush to go back. Chips were good and the paneer they use for dishes was lovely and soft, but apart from that.. average but disappointing as I was expecting so much more.

Absolutely loved the new Dipna Anand restaurant at Unity Place! It’s a fabulous proper authentic elegant Indian restaurant. We started off with a stunning cocktail Mohabbat Martini, which was so fragrant and drinkable. For starters we had fish pakoras which were so soft and tasty, and vada pau which was a mini vegetable burger that packed a flavour and spice punch! For mains we had a vegetarian thali and a meat thali. It was all so fresh and delicious. The stand out dishes were the lamb kofta curry, makhani chicken, paneer mattar curry and dhal makhani, accompanied by a light and fluffy naan and jeera rice. We also had the mandarin cheesecake to finish which was so delicious and not too sweet. We are already planning our next visit as we want to try everything on the menu! The menu is quite small compared to other Indian restaurants, which was a huge plus point for us as it meant that what they do have, they do well! This isn’t your typical curry house so only go if you want authentic Indian food made with fresh ingredients, subtle spices and fragrant flavours.I’m

A nice location, great service, however Very disappointed with the food. The lamb chops were very disappointing . 2 small lamb chops and some chopped onions were on the plate.The lamb was extremely overcooked and was not enjoyable. The fish was drenched in sauce, with very little fish in the bowl. The whole meal was 90% sauce !!!! The bhatura was good, served nice and hot, however the rice was lukewarm and not enjoyable. A great disappointment on their first day of trading. I will maybe return once they have become more established.
