Dinnerstone Restaurant in Oldham

Food was lovely , menu had new dishes added . I had beetroot & goats cheese ravioli which was very nice . Plenty of staff , service was good . They made me a Mocktail which was good . It would be nice to have a Mocktail drinks menu

Had lovely evening. Beautiful scallops & steak cooked exactly as requested. Staff were really attentive & friendly. We really enjoyed the evening.

14 of us visited the restaurant for a birthday celebration. We booked Poet’s Corner the private room off the upstairs dining area. It was lovely to have our own private space to decorate as we liked, play the music we liked & make as much noise as we wanted. The food was lovely & the service was attentive. We had to pre order from the menu which was no problem at all. The only problems we had were when one of our party who had ordered Halibut for his main was given sea bass instead as halibut was not available. This was not a problem for him luckily but I feel it should have been mentioned before it was cooked & served. However the restaurant didn’t charge for this dish so we cannot fault them for that. The other problem could have been a little more serious. One of our party is celiac & we took great pains to make sure this was known when we ordered. However the starter was brought & wasn’t gluten free. Luckily we checked with the waiter who was apologetic & changed it but I feel that more care should be taken when dietary restrictions apply. The same friend felt a little nervous with the rest of their meal in case this happened again. All in all I would recommend this restaurant, especially the private room for which there is no extra charge. But would just recommend that more care is taken when serving those with dietary restrictions.

Best meal I've had for a long time. Arrived too early but staff were amazing. Didn't have to wait too long. Food was delicious.

We were a party of 5, enjoying evening meal, the food was fantastic, all freshly made piping hot and well presented, had a couple of cocktails and their Merlot wine. all perfect.........and then we rolled the dice and got a SIX and so the meal was free, could not believe it. We will be going again for food and cocktails. *****

Upon arrival in to the dinner stone we weren’t greeted and had to go over to the bar area to make ourselves known. Shown to a table that was set out for 8 people for a booking for 6 people. Ordered a round of drinks and water to the table. One of the glasses had a crack through it, another had lip marks all over it and a full pint of beer unfortunately got dropped on to one of our guests by a member of staff. I felt the way this was handled was very poor. The staff member initially was shocked and didn’t really know how to handle the situation and this wasn’t really followed up satisfactory. The food I had ordered felt very average and mediocre not worth the £33.50 for a ribeye steak. It came with one mushroom, one tomato, some very dry chips and the peppercorn sauce could have been a little thicker in consistency. I’d say the value of my meal would range between £20-£25. The only savouring grace was the lemon cheesecake. Throughout the service several members of staff waited the table and repeatedly asking the same questions, felt chaotic. Also felt the noise was quite loud as the noise was travelling up from the bar area so it was difficult to hear or speak. The men’s toilet had one cubicle which was overflowing. Now I didn’t kick up a fuss at the time as this meal was arranged for one of our guests birthday so didn’t want to make it awkward but for the floor manager just to knock one drink off the bill is quite poor. There was no offer of getting the shirt/jeans dry cleaned. For the bill to come to £280 and have one drink knocked off isn’t great customer service and certainly wouldn’t invite you to come back. Left feeling extremely disappointed.

Great Sunday lunch and great atmosphere

Lovely atmosphere. Pippa, Daisy and the rest of the staff make you feel very welcome. We were told to try the lasagna, it was THE BEST! Absolutely delicious ❤️

Wonderful food and delicious service! The meal was really delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for catching up as a small group of friends with some good wine! We will definitely come back, really good expertise!

Booked our family lunch today and wasn’t disappointed. Such a warm welcome from the staff, fantastic service and amazing food. Not always easy delivering a Christmas lunch when so busy and people forget the staff are working on one of the busiest days of the year and all still smiling making sure our experience was special!! Amazing value for money and thank you for such a special time - well done all, hope you get some time with your families ❤️

Food is always amazing here, but...... It was absolutely freezing cold in the building! No heating on at all, so I didn't enjoy my meal as I was too cold. Other people in the dinning area rubbing their hands together, all looks as cold as us! It's December, if you want people to eat here at least make sure it's warm inside. It was the same at The White Hart last week. Sort it out Charles!

Never been before and enjoyed the meal very much. Was very busy and it did make it difficult to hear my friend across the table as the acoustics were very loud. Lovely place though and the singers were amazing. Will definitely be back

Generally good, food good, service good but I did take offensive at being charged £4.50 for a flat white coffee. The live music was a bit loud and not that good.

Absolutely brilliant ! We were greeted by Daisy, and met Pippa, both very friendly, helpful, and professional. The food was superb, as was the house wine, far better than other restaurants house wine. The restaurant was really nicely decorated, lighting good, furniture was very classy. Could not say anything negative, all good. Will certainly visit again.

Came here for a celebratory meal for my parents anniversary and it was an excellent choice. They have numerous gluten free options on the menu and our meals were delicious. Staff were really attentive and friendly and made an effort interacting with the children. Excellent service!

I’ve been to dinnerstones many times, both before and post lockdown, the restaurant has changed in layout post lockdown, Went tonight. Bit of a spur of the moment thing with friends ,but got a table, and had a fantastic meal, no one had a bad thing to say. And we all had different types of meal, pasta, pizza. Meat and fish, all were brilliant, our server , Pippa, was top notch, nothing was too much trouble , a credit to the restaurant. Highly recommend,

Tasty food but painfully overpriced. My cousin worked there last year and was treated very poorly by the manager - forced to work overtime and poor/late pay. Do NOT support this place.

Great service, really tasty food. Try the Biscoff Cheescake.... hhhmmm. 2nd visit and it didn't disappoint. Excellent!

Dinnerstones has always been a favourite local restaurant and it lived upto our usual expectations . The staff were very friendly and helpful and the food was delicious as always.

Nice restaurant bar in Uppermill, We got a friendly welcome and efficient service. The menu isn’t extensive but the food was well cooked and tasty and we both enjoyed our choices.

Food incredible as usual prawn linguine particularly divine, cocktails reassuringly strong and staff exemplary. With so many deals it’s amazing value as well. Can’t fault it.

This was our third visit in the last 3 months and on this occasion we weren’t as impressed. My food was lukewarm and the service, although pleasant, was erratic. We had to ask for our drinks 2or 3 times and waited a while for the bill which didn’t arrive. We will go back because previous visits have been a lot better.

First time at Dinnerstones and what a lovely restaurant. Food was beautiful, service was excellent. The front of house manager really couldn't do enough for us - she was fantastic. We were a large table of 7 and made to feel very welcome for my daughters birthday. The atmosphere was relaxed but a great vibe with a live artist later on in the evening. We sat downstairs as we had my mum with us but the upstairs dinning room looks equally stylish and I was blown away with the private dining facility. Such good value too in terms of cost! The only thing to watch out (which is actually a huge plus these days) - is there is no service charge on the bill so dont forget to tip as we did and all round the team did deserve a thank you!!!

Fantastic food. Great and friendly service. Good atmosphere. Lovely decor! We were really well looked after for my son's 18th birthday.

This was a special occasion and we booked the Poet's Corner private dining room. Daisy and Pippa helped so much with the planning and when we arrived the place looked lovely. It seemed to really matter to all the staff that we had a great time. The service was excellent. professional but friendly and not over fussy. They were attentive but left us to enjoy ourselves. And the food.....it was absolutely delicious! We all had different things and everything was tasty and beautifully presented. We can't thank the team enough for making our special occasion such a wonderful event. A superb effort all round. Thank you all.

Only one more table taken in the main upstairs restaurant, lots of vacant tables available. Why? Received the menu, Ribeye steak with fries etc £33.50. Really? This is Saddleworth not London west end!

This restaurant is stunning and the is first class. The team are brilliant and provide the very best service. We booked the complimentary private dining room, “The Poets Corner”, made the meal very special for our party.

Booked here for a catch up with friends. Booking system was user friendly and was done in minutes. On arrival we were greeted and immediately shown to our table. The waitress came over and discussed the offers they were running that evening. All the staff who interacted with us were professional, had fantastic customer service and friendly. Cocktails were on 2 for 1 all evening which we were delighted with. The food offers were excellent with bottles of wine in the deal price. There was also a singer on which added to the atmosphere. A most pleasant evening enjoyed by us all. Have booked again for next month. Keep up the great work.

Came here for bottomless brunch with my friends on Sunday. Food was all so lovely and the drinks on the bottomless were really good quality, well worth the money! The service was great and lovely atmosphere with the live music. Will definately be back!

Stunning spot with amazing service! The prawn linguini and biscoff cheesecake is a must try! Pizzas are also lovely! Overall experience I couldnt fault it at all. Seated straight away.

We've had a lot of nice meals at Dinnerstones and this one was no exception. We were a party of 10 and the only minor complaint was that there was quite a big gap between the first and last main courses being brought to the table.

I went for the bottomless brunch and wasn’t disappointed, food great, drinks great and pretty lively for a Sunday (well it was a bank holiday). Daisy and team were excellent. We will be back.

Recently moved into the area and thought we would try Dinnerstone. The food was amazing, great wine choice too. The staff were really friendly especially Pippa. Already booked to go back.

Since reopening, I have been for dinner with friends around 4 or 5 times. Sadly it’s never gone completely smoothly. From stale pitta bread, dried up olives, orders messed up on every visit. These were simple orders too. On a positive the staff are polite & the fillet steaks amazing. Such a shame.

Had bottomless brunch here with 3 of my friends, absolutely amazing service and lovely food! So impressed with customer service and had a live singer on! Amazing atmosphere and lovely decor. Will deffo be back xx

Went this evening with my adult daughter and had a fantastic time. The place was really vibrant and despite how busy they were the food came out in a timely manner and was exceptional. Lovely decor, great attentive service (special shout out to our server, Olivia), great value 3 course menu, and gluten free options that are suitable for coeliacs! I had tempura prawns, GF pizza and sticky toffee pudding, all of which were delicious!!

Very nice restaurant. Really enjoyed the food and staff were very polite and friendly. Will say the atmosphere may not be best suited for small children.

Updated this review after two visits since it's reopening. Unfortunately, I have to say the experience is just not the same anymore. Food is just OK, as is the service. It used to be amazing.

Great food, great service although we were the only ones in there to start with! Easy to book online too.

4 stars for food as burger had to be sent back. 4 stars for atmosphere only because it was very quiet.

Our starter and main came out very quickly and we were in and out the restaurant in 35 minutes. The food was good, we didn’t have to wait long at all to be served. It was a pleasant dining experience, but felt very rushed when we wanted to make an evening of it and take our time.

A fine restaurant does everything well

The Menu was limited which was good as I expected this would mean the food would be 100%….how wrong could I be. The starter “crispy” chicken wings with a blue cheese sauce was not crispy it was fatty chicken skin with a sauce over that had no taste it was shocking so I sent it back, chef sent it back with the waitress stating it wasn’t crispy because it was in sauce that’s not what the menu indicated I expect crispy chicken would be crispy with a sauce on the side or the menu should state chicken cooked in sauce of choice on the menu. I then got the main course lasagne which came with garlic bread & salad. I had a square of lasagne which was dry with 3 layers of pasta sheets but just one had any Ragu on it. Why serve garlic bread with it if there’s no sauce. The manager removed both meals from the bill and did apologise but I won’t dine at Dinnerstones again I’ve eaten far better in cafes for a lot less money.

This is a very stylish restaurant with great staff but unfortunately our food was very disappointing. Dinnerstones has lost it’s identity and opted for Italian food with an Asian twist and it really doesn’t work.

Eric and Daisy extremely professional. Children made to feel welcome and accommodated their needs. Food amazing.

Thoroughly enjoyed Xmas day here. Service was fantastic, staff very attentive. Only one negative was the warmth of the food, but as it was a busy service, I didn't mind too much.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Only niggle, the linguine portion seemed smaller than usual. This won't put me off booking again, but worth a mention as there is a lot of competition out there and I wouldn't want to see you loosing business. My wife and I have been frequenting Dinnerstones since you opened.

We like this restaurant and good to see it busy again after a long shutdown over and after lockdown. I had the ribeye steak which was excellent, my wife being vegetarian ordered a pizza and asked for the Parma ham to be substituted with Jalapeño peppers. Sadly it arrived with the ham. The waitress was very apologetic and offered to replace however my wife was so hungry and not wanting to wait longer decided to scrape off the ham and carried on to actually enjoy the meal. We were offered a complimentary glass of wine, accepted and appreciated, very good customer care! In spite of the mishap we enjoyed our meal and will certainly return.

Whilst waiting between starters and main, had the pleasure of watching the kitchen operate and WOW like a well-oiled machine again very professional and a joy to watch Main - fillet steak cooked to perfection, not very often you find somewhere that knows how to cook a steak, lasagna nice and tasty, well presented, garlic bread side was slightly oily but again no detriment on the meal at all The only downside during the meal was the spraying of tables directly, and not to cloth first Cleanliness was by far the best I've seen, toilets were to a very high standard and fitted with high end fixtures and fittings. Staff were very polite and friendly, very courteous by far the best service I've ever received.

Food was ok, ordered a steak with blue cheese sauce, unfortunately chef didn’t make a blue cheese sauce and proceeded to put a block of cold cheese on the steak, informed service who frankly didn’t seem to care!

Service was very slow. Food was actually inedible (risotto that wasn't cooked properly so that the grains were still crunchy).

Food was nice enough although the crumble dessert wasn't all that crumbly. Service once we'd ordered food and drink was none existent bar meals arriving and being asked if food was ok.

Fabulous pizza, outstanding prawn linguine (pasta touch bit soft for me but great flavour!) BURGER GREAT. Kids meals equal quality to the adult meals. All in all best casual meal out for 10 years!

We had a good meal but was not impressed with the cashless policy. Unfortunately we won't be returning unless they change the policy. Sadly we weren't able to tip the hardworking staff who deserve better.

My partner and I decided to try this restaurant the other week which has quite a renowned reputation. The restaurant inside is quite fancy and contemporary. Very nicely decorated. We couldn't fault the staff either who were very polite and friendly. .......The main attraction........ The food....... I can only say it was below par that night. (We've never been before so perhaps a one off?) The prawn linguine resembled a packet of supernoodles in a watery rue sauce with a few peas on top. The pizza was quite sloppy and anaemic looking. Not something we would expect for an Italian eatery. We have tried a few other outstanding Italian restaurants in the area which are leaps and bounds in front of this one.

Food was nice but staff were not that attentive and the bill was wrong at the end, I don’t normally check it, not sure why I did. Easily rectified though

Saturday night the restaurant was busy and there were not enough staff, our food took ages and we saw lots of people complaining about the service. The food was unremarkable. I Feel sorry for the staff who literally run around, and still fail to keep the customers happy. Management need to get more staff.

Long waits for food. When it arrived, the food wasn't hot, just warm. Poor value for money. No-one in my party really enjoyed their food.

Great place and great food, the staff were very good but did wait a while for the food and left with an empty drink for a bit. Great place but maybe needs a few more staff.

Dined here this evening for the first time since their reopening. We’ve dined here many, many times in the past before they shut down for a while, but can safely say that after our experience this evening, the quality, presentation and service either matched or went beyond the high levels we experienced in the past. Looking forward to our next visit, hopefully with an expanded menu ✌🏻❤️

We came to Dinnerstone for our first proper post COVID meal to mark the start of the half term. We had been before and had Christmas dinner here and we knew there was a reduced menu. Service was brilliant, very attentive staff keeping us in drinks without feeling pestered. Food came quickly, was hot and everybody enjoyed their meals, kids loved it (especially the chocolate brownie) and the cocktail menu was brilliant for the grown ups.Cheap as chips too!

I visited with a friend on Thursday, I had the ham hock and creme brulee and as always the food was delicious, the ambience and staff service was excellent. We also felt very safe, the tables being well apart .

We had booked to dine in at Dinnerstones but due to current circumstances we were unable to do so. We therefore ordered the Christmas eve Hamper box (3 course meal) and have to say it was simply amazing, excellent food with instructions on how to cook. Made our Christmas eve specialAmazing value for money. Would definitely order again if they do this option

As always the Dinnerstones team ensured we had a great meal out. The food was delicious, we were looked after really well and we are looking forward to going back when lockdown is over.
