Dine At FL in Mid Sussex

What a find! A hidden gem in the RH10 area, Pease Pottage. Had the 6 course Spring menu along with the wine pairing and it was exquisite. Service and food are exceptional, with a full explanation of each course along with the wine pairing. Very romantic and relaxed setting, with the option of a stay over. We will make this a seasonal visit, along with the odd Sunday lunch. You could also privately hire the venue for a special occasion. All in all, this was a fantastic experience and one I will share with friends and family. Thank you to our hosts, Paul and Rich, who clearly care about their customers, the food and the setting. 10/10 from us!!

First visit last night with hubby, daughter and son in law. Arrived just after 7pm and quickly shown to our table and given menus. Served drinks and then food service started at 7.45. All courses delicious and well presented. Final course served around 10pm. Lovely choice of food on menu and very friendly service. At the end of the meal presented with a lovely birthday cake and bouquet of flowers, requested by husband. We all look forward to a return visit.

Had the most amazing experience celebrating my mums birthday here last night. The setting is very peaceful and maximum capacity for their tasting menu is 16 which is perfect. Away from the main roads and surrounded by green. They also have accommodation & spa. The food it’s self I could not fault one bit. Each course would come and they explained every part of the dish. There was also a wine to match each course if you opted for it. To top it off there is a private function room where a birthday cake was lite and huge bunch of sunflowers. All organised by them from local businesses. The tasting menu isn’t available every day so check before booking. Will 100% be back again 🌷 🌹

Absolutely fantastic meal. This place is a real gem. Paul front of house, is amazing, always helpful but not intrusive. Richard the chef balanced the flavours to perfection. We cannot wait to go again.

On Saturday we had the pleasure of experiencing a truly lovely dinner at Forest Lodge, which is a true hidden gem!!! From the moment we walked in the door the ambiance and tone was very special with our own private dining area.. our server Paul was attentive without being intrusive and very knowledgeable about the menu.. the food was wonderful, we had the six course taster menu with the wine flight which was amazing. This truly is a lovely establishment in a beautiful setting and we even had the pleasure of meeting Rich who is an exceptional Chef with so much attention to detail goes into his wonderful dishes..we will definitely return to this beautiful restaurant..

Wow! What an incredible find! We are so happy that we came across this place and were blown away by the whole experience! The venue, the incredible food and drink, and warm and friendly welcome were all outstanding. We were a group of 5 friends who had gone for a belated Christmas meal out, and it was like we had our own private dining experience. Rich and Paul were amazing hosts, and the 6 course dinner with accompanying wine flight was beautifully presented, all explained really well and tasted incredible! It was lovely to chat about the food with Rich after the meal and hear about their wonderful plans for this stunning venue. We are definitely excited to return and enjoy some of the other wonderful experiences this amazing place has to offer! Thank you Rich and Paul!

Absolutely amazing, a truly luxurious experience! Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, food and wine was incredible and nothing was too much trouble thanks to our wonderful hosts! Highly recommended!

Amazing venue. A little rural escape. We stayed the night & enjoyed a 6 course dinner with an accompanying wine flight. The food was fantastic. A real treat for the senses and each course was explained in full along with the wine as it was served. The bedroom was beautiful, clearly no expense spared with a comfortable bed, a rainfall shower that was like an Amazonian waterfall and special touches such as beautiful toiletries, usb chargers, free WiFi & a complimentary box of delicious chocolates. Breakfast of eggs laid by the rescue chickens was a treat and I chose sourdough bread with smoked salmon to accompany the delicious fresh eggs. All in all a fabulous escape.

Received a very warm welcome. Amazing meal with beautifully paired wines. We stayed in the very comfortable loft suite. Intend to return, would definitely recommend.

We really enjoyed our meal and had such a great dining experience. The food was delicious and we loved that the food was all locally sourced and had a personal touch. Each course was cooked perfectly, described to us in detail and beautifully presented. The restaurant was also very nicely decorated and the service was fantastic. You will definitely have a wonderful time dining here.

Paul and Rich were very welcoming the food was amazing, the dining room was a great environment for my birthday celebrations. We will be back soon.

A lovely and intimate venue that provides a peaceful dining experience! I especially appreciate the location as it feels rural but is still near a town. Lots of parking on site. The food was stunning with special extra effort put in to a tasty vegetarian option. Great wine list too! We'll definitely be back so highly recommend

The dinner , the service, the enivrement was amazing. We can really recommend this place, for a relaxing evening , or a party with friends.

This was our first visit to FL and wow. We were both truly blown away by the hosts, the venue and the food. From the moment we arrived until we left the hosts were incredible, attentive but not intrusive. The food was absolutely out of this world, presentation was fabulous and everything cooked to perfection. This may have been our first visit but it most certainly won’t be out last. Thank you to our hosts, this place is special.

We were lucky enough to have dinner during our stay, with the restaurant only just getting ready for opening. The food was better than we could have hoped for. An excellent 6 course menu with a great variety of dishes and flavours. With just about the right amount of food spread over a very enjoyable evening we were left perfectly satisfied, and with the evening ending with a couple of drinks in front of the fire. What more could you ask for? We'll be back very soon!

What a fantastic time we had @FL! My girlfriend and I are always on the lookout for memorable dining experiences, and this delivered in spades. We felt very welcomed and like nothing was too much to ask - hospitality at its finest, which is rare to find in the UK. And every detail was thoughtfully considered and added to our overall experience. Venue is stunning - lovely relaxed atmosphere and a real home-feel. Food was exquisite - a thoughtfully curated menu and beautifully presented. Highly recommend the wine pairing too. Love that you can add on an overnight stay in one of their beautiful rooms (worth coming back just to try out the others - they're all unique and it was difficult to choose!). Beds are so comfortable... we came out refreshed, reinvigorated, and quite frankly, we didn't want to leave. Not sure we'll be able to when the spa opens next year! But we'll definitely be back for our next special occasion.

We were fortunate enough to dine here for a special family event and I couldn't fault the quality of the food and the experience in general. Nothing was too much trouble for the hosts who were attentive without intruding. The food was top notch, we had paired wines which were great, superbly selected to work with each course. Through my job I'm lucky enough to sample a lot of London restaurants, and this is right up there. So lovely to find somewhere with such a great atmosphere and such high quality of food. We will definitely be back!

Fabulous food, clearly prepared with care and passion. Even the place itself is impressive. We decided to stay over as they also offer B&B accommodation, and that was similarly top notch. We'll definitely be 'regulars' . Highly recommended.
