Dilshad International Restaurant in Dudley

A lovely experience at the Dilshad with friends. The food was really tasty and hot and there was plenty of it too. I didn't realise there was an offer on Sunday-Thursday so that made it really good value for money which you don't get much of these days! The only negative comment I can make is that it was very quiet in there and I felt we had to keep our voices down. They could do with a little bit of background music to give a bit of atmosphere. Will definitely be returning soon.

Went to try the 4 course meal deal at £11.95 with my grandson and it wasn't bad value and bringing your own alcohol was a real plus. However when it came to the end of the meal the options were a coffee or an ice cream we didn't want ice cream and my grandson doesn't like coffee so I politely asked if he could have a tea instead and I got a resounding NO it's coffee or ice cream end of. So we passed on the 4th course I also passed on the tip so being inflexible cost them a few quid. Poor customer service never gets rewarded by me.

Me and my wife eat here regularly. My daughter treated me to a meal for father's day i sent my meal back because chicken was cold then my daughter and wife bomdbayaloo was rock hard no apologies sorry or anything but still put it on bill more than half our food was sent back i will never eat here again. Felt sorry for my daughter treating me disgusting service would love to here from the manager but thats not going happen

Always excellent food and friendly staff. We have been customers for 16 years and it has always been excellent. Sunday to Thursday special is amazing value and so good.

My brother and I needed somewhere eat. (Long story). This place was on the way home. Passed many times on the way to work. 1st time having food here. It will be the last. Food for the price was ok. But only ok. But the place was very very dated with the smell of a joss stick (not sure if that's how you spell it) covering up the smell of something just as nasty. And the service....let's just say there was service but it was neither friendly or polite. Atmosphere? I will be polite and just say there was none.

Baltis were very bland no flavour or heat chips were luke warm and staff miserable did not feel comfortable do not recommend

£9.95 for 4 course meal and good food. Gone up in price to £11.95 but still good value..

Ordered a takeaway via the internet on 14/02/24 & after returning home with our food discovered it was completely the wrong order. When I rang back the member of staff I spoke to was totally unhelpful blaming my husband for having the wrong order despite the order being ready when it was collected. No apology or attempt to make their mistake right. To add insult to injury the food was poor quality & overcooked. Disappointed is an understatement especially after we have used them for over 20 years. I am always willing to give businesses a second chance but after their poor customer service I will not be using them again & could never recommend them to anyone. There are much better restaurants & take-aways! Sorry Dilshad you did yourself no favour with your poor customer service.

Dilshad used great for,a cheap but tasty curry but unfortunately it's sadly lacking these days. Portions are smaller and for some reason a lot of the currys are lacking in spice and flavour. One of the staff is half soaked and we have to keep repeating ourselves to ensure he's got our order correct. It used to be busy most nights but these days we're often the only ones dining.

had a lovely meal here with friends. travelled from doncaster.the onion bahjis were very nice. we all had different mains. realised we could have had the £11.95 special after we had ordered. but we had a nice meal. service was very efficient and quick.allowed to bring our own drinks. will recommend to friends if they are in the area.

Ordered five meals plus extras, for delivery, last night . I was informed it might take upto 45 mins delivery. 90 mins later after a phone call promising me it was on the way came cold. Person on the other end of the phone didn’t seem concerned, which is most surprising as they are normally very efficient. Will think twice before ordering again.

Visited yesterday... the food was below par on every level .. the lamb balti .. think that the lamb was actually cooked few days before the curry ? tasted like it was just dropped into a shop brought balti sauce? The kids had chips the tomato sauce bottle looked like they brought it out of a mechanics workshop and tasted off to the kids .. the use by date was rubbed off so couldn't tell. The atmosphere was dead as it gets ..no background music ..waiters with no customers service skills at all . . the decor was about as bad as it gets. The tables are packed too closely together too.. will never visit again. Parking is atrocious tooooo.

Came here with family on a Saturday night. When looking at the menu, the owner/waiter was rushing us and ended up taking the menus saying the kitchen is very busy! When trying to order the lamb tikka masala I was told "no it's hard" so we asked what do you mean...hard to cook? Which he replied no the lamb is hard we cooked it yesterday! I have never been to a restaurant where I've been told to avoid something... My starter was nice chicken tikka puri..but the prawn tikka masala wasn't great, no flavour to the prawns themselves. The tables seem to small also, my naan was sitting on the windowsill as it was easier then finding space on the table. Would I return no...

Delivered to my 83 year old mother who had to walk down stairs as the delivery driver wouldn’t take it up. Disgusting that’s what they are paid for to deliver to your door.

I have ordered with dilshad and have an item missing the restaurant have argued with me that they sent it even though the item isn't in the bag, the man was rude and offered no help or resolution to the situation apart from basically calling me a liar Clearly your delivery driver likes naan breads The food wasn't hot it was warm It is ridiculous the lack of customer service

Booked for a party of 9 adults, a toddler and a baby 6pm Friday 2nd June 23. From the second we sat down the attitude of the waiters was apparent. It’s a bring your own alcohol place & they seemed reluctant to give us glasses!! There were very few other diners at that time yet the main waiter kept trying to rush us to order! They virtually slung the all dishes (we all had 3 courses) at us with absolutely NO FINESSE WHATSOEVER - we asked for water to be served to the table that never arrived! There wasn’t one smile or courteous gesture the whole time we were there - the food was good & everyone enjoyed it but the atmosphere from the waiters was as if they didn’t want us there. They say they are ‘family friendly’ and can cater for groups but it was obvious they were not very happy with us!! So sad because it is very local & convenient for us as a family to get there. But WE WON’T BE GOING AGAIN after this experience!!!!

Had a take away deliver my vegetarian meal was inedible and the chips were well passed their sell by date, cold and hard. Disgusting. I called to complain and was told next time I order it would be free. Called tonight and they denied ever speaking to me. We ordered from this restaurant many times. Never again.

Was Invited to Dishad international restaurant for birthday party it had been some years ago was in the place and was reassured it was better now. 🤔 Mmm quite airy inside. The menu was what I would call ok. I ordered a lamb balti basically cubes of lamb rise, in fact it was quite dry. Overall I would have paid a little extra and gone few hundred yards down to Balti Towers and would had a lovely mixed balti for same price or little more. Sorry to Dilshad was not impressed.

Great food. Was quite busy but our service was good and we were able to sit and chat long after we'd finished. No pressure to leave which was brilliant for us as we were a group of long time friends who hadn't all been together for 18 months. Lots to catch up on. 😁

I love everything about this place the food is amazing the staff are brilliant and it's great value for money not too expensive I have been here many times previously and enjoyed it everytime however today I have a concern to voice in regards to how I was served my floater coffee and im rather concerned with the health and safety implications as I received my floater coffee in a normal glass and not a double walled, double insulated or latte glass as someone who works in hospitality I am just generally concerned in regards to this other than this the meal and service we're brilliant will be returning

There were not many people in so the atmosphere wasn't there but our party was big so that made up for it. The service was ok - a bit of putting something at one end of the table and expecting people to pass it on.

Service here is the best, coupled with very good prices and delicious food..

Amazing service and amazing food me and my Dad went on Friday and we once again were pleased with everything.

£17 for naga chicken tikka, pilau rice and peshwari naan. Only 6 tiny pieces of chicken in the curry, feel a bit ripped off, won't be going here again any time soon.. have had better microwave meals for a fraction of the cost

If you want to experience the Indian cuisine and all it has to offer, then this is the place go.

Great food and great service. Haven't taken a star off but personal preference would be if they burnt the chicken a little bit more. Also great value.

Excellent takeaway. Having only moved to this area a week ago, we had no knowledge of local restaurants or takeaways so we used Just Eat coupled with Trip Advisor to check places out. In my experience restaurants serve better takeaway food than takeaways and we liked the sound of this restaurant . The food came on time, was hot and quantity was good. Most Indian takeaways serve meals swimming in fat and tend to be very high in calories. But Dilshad say that reduce fat and this seemed evident from the food. We will certainly use them again and may well try the restaurant in future?

We found a bug in the food 👎👎👎👎 And when we asked for a refund they were very rude also refused to give us the refund although its a health issue 🤷🏻‍♀️

Had a meal last week starters tasteless when the main course came chicken tikka masala was very sweet and chicken balti sweet and no flavour would not recommend this place

Great place, staff lovely. Prices very reasonable. You're able to take your own achoholic drinks, but most Importantly the food is delicious.

Lentils were still hard & not cooked through, also lacked seasoning and spice, tasted more like mushy peas then Dahl. Potatoes still hard in aloo gobi , and Bombay Gobi. Again lacked seasoning and spice , I ordered fairly hot, no heat at all.Food was delivered within 30mins from ordering, and the restaurant is 10minutes away , so took less then 20mins to cook food , not long enough to release flavers of spices used , Food was tasteless. Unfortunately not an enjoyable eating experience

Food is excellent but staff make you feel uncomfortable once you've eaten. It happens every time we go. They stand watching the table. Not good.

Excellent . We had not been there since 2019 & the food was even better than we remembered . The prices are excellent . The Best curry restaurant in the area .

A real shame. We ordered 3 curries for takeaway, a Butter Chicken, a Tikka Masala and a Keema Peas. All 3 meals basically tasted like Korma's. They were horrendously sweet with no noticeable spice in either the Tikka Masala or Keema Peas. We also ordered Paratha, which was so incredibly thick it could hardly be ripped apart. None of the 3 meals could be finished and when we felt the Poppadoms were the best bit of the meal, it left a very bad taste in the mouth (literally). Would not recommend

Usually go for the "off peak" special, which although it keeps going up in price, £10.95 now, you know what you are getting, poppadoms, starter, curry and ice cream or floater coffee, plus an after eight. Never had a bad experience there

Very pleasant people, service fine, quality of food fine, a few niggles, despite saying no coriander three times and the response to say yeah yeah we got that, food still turned up with it sprinkled on. A little on the obscure side is that I couldn’t help but notice the smell of urine floods the place at times, this may be more of a personal issue than a cleanliness issue but never the less it was distracting enough to ensure that we weren’t able to concentrate on the food or talking Average score for average food, nothing to write home about therefore not worthy of photographs. To the owners, sorry but an honest opinion

Dilshad, what a place! Dilshad offered a lovely homely environment with funny little touches. Our waiter made us laugh as when he poured our fizzy drink he didnt told the glass, this left us with a funny little awkward silent wait whilst her stared at the glass with disarray whilst the froth went down. As this wonderful waiter then came back to the table with may I add a delicious curry, he scraped the rice, curry onto one place like he was throwing it in the garbage. Honestly we loved it and will be attending again in the futures. Also there was a random man sat in reception and I was like "ok." Peace out also hi P-dog. PTFR.

Love their menu! And the fact they serve combination dishes is great for when you can't decide what you want as a main dish

Friendly, which counts for a lot when eating out. Good food and very good coffee too. The special is the most amazing value My first Indian meal or curry was in the Bull Ring Birmingham in 1966. The Dilshad is our favourite for sure.

Ordered from them today, the chicken in the korma was tough, they got the naan bread wrong and they were incredibly stingy with the sauce that goes with the poppadoms that I ordered....

It was our first take away from this lovely, friendly resteraunt as we always eat there. 4 adults and the boys......all had different...the food was just as good but we do miss our fav. eatery. Blame Bozo.!!

Taking part in Governments eating out scheme only if you place order from menu and not from the Sunday to Thursday £9.95 menu. They said Governments eating out scheme can’t be used with another offer but this is not the case. Bet they still claim back the 50% discount from the Government when you order from the Sunday to Thursday £9.95 menu. Food just ok. Won’t be going back

service standard , curry okay not bad not brill three of us attended on 17/08/20 we all had the dish dash offer , £9.95 each for a curry starter and coffee , we were told this was not on the government "help out to eat out" i bet they will claim this of the tax payer government , no social distance staff no masks gloves touch my plate with bare hands he then scratched his face after serving he stood by the bar area did not wash or gel hands he then served and seated a couple we were gob smacked , service was okay we left no tip only tip we can give is stop ripping off public and government , also please wash your hands after scratching your face , also phone numbers in an open book well need i say more Hi Sophie for one !! come on lads get your act together

Food was really good.Everything was hot cooked really well.Big disappointment at the lack of social distancing.Tables not arms length apart.No hand sanitizer no one wearing a mask(staff).A table was vacated by 3 people the staff pulled off the top table cloth and replaced it with another the one underneath was left were the other diners had their hands.The table was then given to 3 young ladies to sit at.Too many tables no social distancing.Staff never used any hand sanitizer after serving each customer.When we arrived there were 3 tables already being used but as we waited and ate our meal the place filled quickly(government 2 for 1 scheme).We felt very uncomfortable by then so left asap.Wont go again to dine in whilst the virus is still active maybe a take away as stated food was great

Went to Dilshad last night, 2nd time out since restrictions were lifted. I was shocked. No social distancing measures in place, every single table was busy and none had been removed, 1m plus rule not being adhered to, no extra measures in place. No hand sanitiser / anti bacterial wipes for use on entry. No disinfecting of tables, condiments, flower vases, menus after people leave. Staff are handling everything and anything (including the part of the spoon you eat with) then giving it to. GDPR rules have gone out of the window. They gave us a large note pad to complete our contact details, and everyone else's details were on the same page for that for me to see. I could have flicked through the book for every day since they reopened and see everyone's name and phone number . Was very tempted to text "Sophie" to see what she thought of me getting her number from Dilshad. And the food was mediocre at best!

We took the boys for our first meal out together since our cruise. As usual excellent. First class food and friendly as can be' One has to book a table due to Covid but it is very safe and easy.f At present there is no alcohol as they lost a lot during Lockdown. If you want to eat out....go,...it is safe ....and of course excellent

I have eaten here 5 times and it's always been a really nice visit. Food is always lovely, and staff are very friendly.

Don’t bother. The food used to be great 2-3 years ago but right now it is terrible. I had lamb last night and it was inedible. Chewy lamb - I couldn’t get the fork into it!- a plateful of onions and 3 pieces of pepper all swimming in oil. Dumped it in the bin!

Usually eat in there and never disappointed. Have a takeaway from elsewhere sometimes Last night had a takeaway from the Dilshad and I think it was the best curry I've ever had
