So I popped in with my obviously disabled daughter for a drink. My daughter had a seizure so she needed to sit down and have a drink. It was around 2.20. The woman that served us acted like she couldn't be bothered. I would have walked out if my daughter wasn't with me. But my daughter wanted a cake as well. So asked if we could have some cakes as they were still on display so I assumed we could purchase some. Then she said abrupt you do realise we are closing soon. Then said we I suppose I can do them to takeaway. She huffed like she didn't really want to. I thought I would look up opening hours online and they actually close at 3pm. The way she spoke to me I assumed she ment they closed at 2.30. I'll be going to McDonald's in future. F*** supporting local businesses if that's their attitude.

Really nice breakfast, decent price. Friendly staff, especially when my son knocked his drink everywhere. Glad we found this place rather than go to another well known chain down the road. Would return. Cakes looked amazing. Decor was really dark though, that’s the only thing I would change. Didn’t eat my egg, as I prefer scrambled which didn’t appear to be an option.

Do not get breakfast from here unless you want your chances of cardiac arrest to rise massively. Absolutely swimming with grease. Took both napkins to wipe it off the plate and could still taste it over everything. When I took a bite of a hash brown grease swarmed my mouth also asked for the bacon crispy not rock hard enough to break a piece of my tooth on. My daughter didn’t even touch hers after one bite… customer service wasn’t exactly amazing either, no one asked us how our food was, most likely cause they was embarrassed at how bad it was!… Almost £9 each for the large breakfast and not one bit was edible! Safe to say I would rather 💩 in my hands and clap than ever step foot in this place for any type of breakfast again.

I went into the cafe on Monday (31/10) morning and there was a pigeon walking about inside being fed by a customer, with a member of staff alongside making the moronic comment to the moron feeding it, of "have you got a friend?" I had to move. Everytime I go in there, there are pigeons wandering about with the full compliance of the staff. I have reported it to Barrow Borough Council's Environmental Health Department.

Pleasant cafe in pedestrianised street. I thought the cappuccino was good, even without the extra shot of coffee - comfortable chairs.

We remembered this restaurant from our last visit to Barrow back in 2016 and decided to eat there again and we weren't dissapointed. Both the food and the service that we received were fantastic, the staff couldn't have been nicer. We will keep going back when we are in the area, well done to all concerned.

Saturday before Christmas we visited, and the lady behind the counter was rude, and complained that people were bringing dirty glasses to the counter, so they could have a table. She also complained that she was busy when we asked for our table to be cleaned.

Ordered 2 breakfasts 10th Oct 2018 while waiting patiently I saw the waitress give 2 breakfasts to the table in front noticed they turned the plates with hands, then started to pour our pot of tea 5 to 10 minutes passed just as I was beginning to wonder where our breakfasts the waitresses walked over to the table in front picked up the breakfasts and brought them to our table, I immediately refused them as they were cold and I was unsure how much handling had taken place. The manager came over very defensive could not understand why I had refused breakfasts his attitude was so bad when he said he would make another his lead me to think he would just rewarm and not being sure what else he might do, asked for a refund the manager was still arguing I told him We had come in for a quiet breakfast, we then left never to return.

When ordering food the staff were impatient and off hand. When the food arrived the waiter was rude in his delivery when we were unsure of the order and tried to hurry, saying that the plates were hot. The plates and the food weren't hot. Would not recommend Diggles to anyone after this, one time only, visit

This is a friendly old style cafe. It local and a pleasure to have sat in the window and watched the world go buy. Coffee was fine for me. Seating is comfortable. TV. Warm inside. Air conditioning was noisy.

It has the look and feel of a Costa, but the prices are lower and there are added delights such as pie with peas and gravy and all day breakfast. Pleasant service and a few seats outside for the hardy.

Lugar perfecto, me encantó.

2 days prior to an expected visit, I specifically called in to ask if it was ok to bring a pram in, I was told "yes of course" so myself, sister, daughter & 3 month old grandaughter turned up today, 10/5/16 there were only 3 or 4 tables occupied, my daughter & I entered looked around trying to decide where would be best to sit so as not to be in the way, there were 3 maybe 4 staff behind the counter & I said to the young man behind the counter what we were intending he replied, "yeah it's a bit cramped in here not really room for a pram" so sorry Diggles lost yourself about £30 or more as guess what! we walked out in disgust. Not one member of those staff offered to move a chair, the pram by the way was actually a car seat on wheels, none of us will return & will have to tell anyone else we know not to visit with a "pram" not sure how they would have been had it been a wheelchair!

Nothing to write home about, but just decent, good value food served by unfussy, friendly staff. I regularly go at lunchtime and have never had a bad experience. The paninis are pretty good, but I'd recommend the pie, peas, gravy and pickled onion for just over £2 and the chicken (proper chicken, not processed rubber chicken) and stuffing bun, although the bun does get a bit soggy from the gravy, for £2.25.

Very reseasonably priced cafe with fresh sandwiches and selection of pies. The hot chocolate was excellent served with whipped cream and didnt cost the earth. However the cafe would benefit from a lick of paint and attention to the toilet areas.

I adore the diggles bacon buns, it's the most tastiest bacon bun ever. They also do lots of other snacks such as sausage rolls, jacket potatoes etc. They also do amazing milkshakes where you pick your favourite candy/chocolate bar of what is available (can't remember them all but it's stuff like: mint aero, malteasers, galaxy, flake, skittles etc.), and then they put it into a milkshake with ice cream and milk...GORGEOUS and so creative!
