Lovely beach front restaurant and bar on Porthcressa beach. Fantastic location, super helpful staff and great choice of drinks for adults and kids as well as a great food menu to explore!

Still the best egg mayonnaise and sun-dried panini in the Isles of Scilly, for which I came over specially from Tresco for, on the weirdest weather day I've ever seen on Scilly, repeated rolling mist but with sunshine!!

Second visit to IOS but first visit to dibble and grub. I really wanted to visit last time but it was fully booked so I was super happy to get a table this year and we were not disappointed. Service was great. Cocktails were lovely and the food was super tasty! I even enjoyed things I never thought I would like! We got a selection of different tapas. All of which were delicious, freshly made and well presented. We sat outside, luckily the weather was okay, but looked like it could turn, and we were offered on several occasions if we wanted to moved inside which was nice. We will definitely be visiting again and I highly recommend!

THE ABSOLUTE MUST PLACE TO EAT ON ST MARYS!! the food menu is very overwhelming but don't let that put you off, you can basically pick and choose what you want and add onto the set menus too. We went for the vegan set menu and added in some greek gyros, there was more than enough food and each dish was so yummy! We had cocktails and they were also very good, we took our drinks to the tables outside after we ate so we could sit and view the beach waves. The only thing I'd say is, I asked about 1 cocktail and the waitress said it wasn't available, to which I said no problem as I only asked about an ingredient about it, I didn't want it. But anyway would be good to know about items not available when we were handed the menus.

They serve outside whatever the weather so be aware that your food will be cold and the wind is high so everything is pretty inedible especially if you have kids. Problem is your advised to eat 12 plates of food that are then cold within seconds. Probably don't book outside if cold/windy. When you ring to leave feedback its really batted back. No productive criticism taken onboard. So maybe don't eat outside if you have children as they just serve people inside first and your just sat to freeze along with your food! It's not their fault re the weather but when people inside are eating before you and arrive after you, it's slightly more upsetting. Also, the answer to this was they didn't order any 'baked food'. This is what we were told to order. Arghh. Such a shame but disastrous.

Very poor. Advised by waiting staff in practiced patter to over order. Long wait. Food cold when arrived. Overpriced. Deeply disappointing.

Decent lunch, but shame you have to book in FEBRUARY for a dinner reservation in August, which is pretty ridiculous! Also concerning that a gentleman recently continued to be served alcohol even though it was clear that he should have been refused several hours prior…. Sometimes it takes some courage to tell someone that they’ve had enough, but is essential to the experience of other customers.

A mixed bag. Very yummy food and drink. Staff a little bit standoffish. Extremely frustrating that when we tried to book a table for August back in March we were added to a wait list. We were practically laughed at by the staff and told you had to book in February to get a table. Ridiculous, you don’t even have to book fine dining restaurants that far in advance.

The food is great- just be sure to book a table well in advance as they often get booked up many days in advance. Our favourite food on the island- we loved the tapas style dining with lots of vegan and vegetarian options.

Tasty, healthy food. Calm, effecient service. Delicious cakes and great coffee.

We arrived 45 mins early but the team still managed to find a table for us and we passed the time with a glass of red wine and some bar snacks before the main event. We went straight in with the tapas which was: Lebanese lamb Persian quinoa salad Moroccan braised hake Cumin roasted aubergine Sweet patatas bravas Baked halloumi piquillo peppers All were beautifully prepared, flavoursome and a real delight. We finished off with the tapas taster pudding menu, which was amazing. For me the highlight was the chocolate torte. Brilliant! We recommend booking in advance as this restaurant is justifiably popular. Only minor niggle is the jazz music is a little too loud and obtrusive but we were sat just below a speaker. Overall it is a real gastronomic experience and a great night out. Lovely staff as well.

Not joking, this was the best food I’ve ever had! Flavours were incredible, so beautifully presented and the dessert nearly brought me to tears it was so good. Can’t recommend enough, and thank you so much Nina for looking after us tonight!

Joined the queue as instructed by a rude member of staff. We were 2nd in the queue and the couple in front of us wanted an inside table. We were happy with an outside table and there were 3 empty tables. The couple in front of us told a member of staff we wanted an outside table so we were directed to one of the empty tables by a pleasantmember of staff. At this point the rude member of staff appeared again and said we had to rejoin the queue as the table wasn't available. I explained that we had been shown to the table to which an argument started between the staff members. We explained that we had been 2nd in the queue but she told us to go to the end of the queue which was now about 10 people long. She said the "host" was sorting table allocations. We walked off and went to another cafe who had nice staff and no confusion over table allocation. The couple who had been in front of us also walked away after heated words with the rude member of staff. Will never return and the girl needs speaking to in how to treat paying customers. After speaking to other holiday makers they have had similar experience at this disorganised establishment.

Very good, freshly cooked food. Good selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Very friendly waitresses. Dogs are definitely allowed on the veranda with a fantastic view of the sea.

Good food, however the service was very slow especially as we had 2 young children in our party. We were told there would be a delay with the food however no one took our food order for 20 minutes.

There was quite a wait for a table, but that was expected, and not a big deal, other than it was raining. We chose the wrong day to visit the Scily Isles! The food was okay, nothing spectacular and the service was... odd. The lady who initially spoke to us was very friendly, but afterward we were seated the attitude of everyone changed and suddenly we seemed forgotten. On a whole not great, but we were hungry and there's not much choice when you're stuck on a island.

For evening meals, you will need to book months in advance, certainly worth popping in at lunchtime as you don't have to book ... The food is absolutely delicious and the staff are super attentive.

The service, as you can read from other reviews, was, to say the least, deeply unprofessional and rude. We arrived after a long journey to this place and waited for 20 minutes to get a table. We were offered a table outside which we accepted because the weather wasn’t bad at that moment. However, after 15 minutes it started raining very heavily and we had our suitcase with us so tried to get our luggage under a parasol. No staff offered assistance to us or anyone else getting soaked. The waitress indicated we couldn’t leave our suitcase under cover because it was in her way. We moved it out of the way and asked if we could move to a different table just being vacated because we were getting soaked. We were told we couldn’t because other people were waiting and would get priority for dry tables! Anyway, we ended up asking for the bill for the drinks we’d had, were kept waiting for it in the rain for five more minutes, and left very disappointed. I have traveled all over, and never in my life I have been treated in such a discourteous, unprofessional and rude way.

Second visit in 2 days. Food is fab here. Today we had cold drinks. My organic lemonade contained Kuzu, a Japanese citrus fruit. So refreshing. Already planning our next visit.

We had the loveliest dinner at Dibble and Grub. The food was an explosion of different flavours, everything was fresh and well curated. Staff was extremely attentive (brought out blankets, made sure we received correct drinks) and we were well looked after. Dinner outside overlooking the sea was outstanding. Thanks so much for having us.

Great brunch. Eggs seem to be a speciality. Kids are themselves to a standstill. Shakshuka could do with a bit more sting ;)

One of vegetarian tapas dishes I ordered arrived on the same tray as my Mum’s montadito de jamon with the ham touching a number of the pieces of the halloumi. When I immediately informed the waitress that I couldn’t eat the dish because of this she simply walked away. When another waitress came to collect the dishes I also informed her about why the halloumi dish remained uneaten and she responded by asking my mother if she wanted it. I had intended to visit the restaurant again, however this complete lack of understanding caused me to change my mind.

Excellent place to sit and chill out with a drink and some nibbles. Main meals look very interesting as well.

There is blankets available if it gets cold outside.

I had the sweet potato burger from here, and honestly it was a struggle. The bap was incredibly tough (not a normal burger bap) so had to try to cut apart with a knife which wasn't easy either. Biting into it meant the burger just got crushed and all squeezed out the sides, as you weren't biting through the bap, but just crushing the bap with your teeth, as it was that tough. I'm not sure how they got this so wrong, it seems such a simple thing. But ruined my meal, as it was a genuine nightmare to eat. On the plus side, the wedges were very tasty. I'd probably say stick to the tapas

Where do I start? Great tapas, drinks, really friendly staff, excellent service and atmosphere. Dined inside. Very friendly welcome. Chose a gluten free Peroni followed by white wine. Chose the tapas taster for two. Every mouthful was superb. Had a really lovely time here and will definitely go again if we return. Make sure you book! It gets very busy and they do brunch walk-ins. Top marks. Excellent. Thank you.

Day trip from Penzance ..Lovely Mediterranean tapas restaurant at the end of the beach front friendly professional staff clean colourful premises with relaxing music. Popular and busy restaurant. The food was delicious fresh locally sourced well done Button and Nick. Really lovely meal at Dibble and Grub this evening for my wife, myself and our two sons. Food was simply spectacular. I don't usually like tapas that much (well I enjoy the food but always feel hungry when I leave or broke due to needing loads of dishes!) but the 4 of us had 3-4 dishes each costing around £15-16 a head and the portion sizes were excellent, very generous and we weren't hungry afterwards. The food itself was totally wonderful and best tasting tapas I've had anywhere. Highly recommended!

I've been here twice and it's my favourite place on the planet. There's tonnes of tapas, well thought out main courses, salads. An unexpected tea selection that blew my socks off! I just wish I lived more locally to eat here more often. Today we had the sweet brunch platter for 2 and it hit the spot! This place is an absolute must visit in the Scilly's.

Great tapas eatery on Porthcressa beach. Only managed a lunch and drinks. Booked up until September for evening meals.

Firstly, you need to book well in advance (we booked in February and was lucky to get a table for our first night on the Scillys) and it was well worth. The food was delicious (I'm a Tapas first timer) the staff are very friendly, the atmosphere is great and the view is amazing. We also had breakfast here "twice" (luckily its just walk in and we got lucky twice) I'm not so adventurous with breakfast although I had the most amazing freshly pressed apple juice. Sally had Shakshuka which she said was amazing, absolutely delicious. We will certainly be booking again for our next visit (once again we'll book well in advance)

Ordered 3 coffees to take away, took one sip..omg it was like sucking porridge through a straw!! took it back was offered fresh ones..great..but not really any apology and had to wait nearly 15 minutes for fresh ones..still porridgey but just gave up and binned them all...£10 down the drain..disappointed 🤨

Excellent. Such a fantastic selection of bites to build an amazing tapas experience. You can build your own set of dishes or pick from a themed set from the chef. The staff were excellent and service was quick. Unfortunately it's hard to get booked in, we had to book 3 months in advance to get a table but it's well worth it.

Amazing food, drinks, staff and location- what more could you ask for?! Make sure you book months in advance so you don't miss out (although they do walk in at lunchtime).

Beautiful spot to stop and eat. Had two lunchtime stops here now and the food and service is good. We couldn't book for an evening meal even 2 weeks before, so book early if you want to eat here.

After a busy day showing our ceramic marine art to customers we sat and had delicious tapas and drinks at Dibble and Grub. Such a variety of vegetarian choices I didn’t know where to start! Brilliant service from the staff who were very friendly and knowledgeable about the food and wine they were serving. A beautiful location on the beach. Blankets available if you get a bit chilly. We are so glad we booked here, one of the best meals out we've ever had as a family. Staff were super friendly and helpful and the food was absolutely delicious. We sat outside due to having our dog with us but we're so glad we did, the views of the sunset and beach were magical. We were even provided with blankets. Definitely recommend booking well in advance, a fantastic scilly restaurant.

Excellent! I have been here more than once and I have loved it every time. Staff are welcoming and professional, the view of the coast is unlike any other and the food is delicious! There are so many vegan options here, that I can always order something different and the cocktails (and other drinks) offered can be made vegan friendly. Be warned; this place does get very busy in peak season, so you may want to book a table in advance.

Managed to grab a coffee and a slice of Victoria sponge before they closed for the season. Lovely atmosphere and fantastic view.

We visited at the beginning of August & had luckily booked for supper way in advance, having been recommended dibble & grub by several people, & wish we had booked for several nights/meals as we utterly loved it, so many delicious dishes to choose from we took forever to decide, I’m very indecisive anyway, the waiter was really helpful helping us decide & every dish was scrumptious. Plenty of GF & lactose options. Lovely staff & a beautiful setting. Thank you ☺️

Accidentally came across this place for lunch on our first day on St Marys and came back again for cocktails and another lunch. Everything we ordered was delicious, the staff were polite and let me charge my phone, and there was never a long wait for a table. Amazing views if you are sat outside. We will be back!

Great service, friendly and helpful staff

Don't know where to start with my praises. Food so delicious. Service wouldn't be out of place in a Michelin starred restaurant. We had a few drinks here at lunchtime and checked on a table I had pre-booked a few months ago which you need to do with the Scilly Isles. As they were so busy we had an outside table which at 8pm by the sea in September will be chilly they said they were fully booked inside which was a shame. 6 hours later when we arrived for our reservation we were told that a table was free inside and as we had asked earlier they had reserved that table for us such a nice touch I had been drinking non alcoholic beer at lunch and they made a point as they remembered what I was drinking when showing the drinks menu they pointed out the mocktails and non alcoholic drinks. Very very good service. I highly recommend this restaurant. Top service with top top food.

We had very enjoyable drinks sat outside watching the sea. The staff were very polite and helpful.
