Very good experience overall, and despite being very busy, service was quick and courteous. Local beer was amazing, and the food just what you would expect. The only criticism I have is that they add a 10 percent tip to your bill as a discretionary. This forces you to interact with staff to remove it. To be clear, I always tip (and did so) , but adding it like this is in my mind a bit cheeky, and in no way do I want to see an American style psych come into Scotland.

Booked to use monetary gift vouchers purchased through Itison and given to me on retirement. The restaurant was extremely busy and noisy with lots of people waiting for tables. We were shown to a table for 2 which was squashed in between other tables. Our starters were really tasty, I has the goats cheese salad, and the OH had the ribs which fell off the bone. Mains arrived. My pizza was over salty and had very little garlic chicken and bacon topping - definitely not worth the price. The OH had fettuccine on the rocks, which was decent enough. We also had a bottle of pinot grigio which was £23, plus the 10% gratuity. On receipt of the bill, I presented the gift vouchers to the value of £40 to be told that these had to be used against an Itison deal. An argument ensued, and although I advised that I was in a rush to catch my transport home, the vouchers were monetary and not for a specific deal, the argument continued. The waiter (or boss as may have been) then decided he needed to take further advice, coming back with the bill, and saying there was only the difference of £27 to pay. If he had accepted this in the first place, I would not have been just in time to see my (infrequent) bus disappear around the corner. I am now on a circuitous route to try and get home, at my time and further expense. To say I am angry is an understatement. Nice starter, disappointing main, and service from several different people. An argument over gift vouchers and a £67 bill having been in the restaurant for less than an hour. Don't imagine we'll be rushing back.

Really enjoyed our meal, I didn't finish mine and asked to take it home, a member of staff put it in the bin by mistake, was sorted out in our bill. Staff very nice and friendly.

We ordered 2 starters - bruschetta and chicken wings, 2 mains - a pizza and a lasagne, and 1 kids meal - burger and chips. It is not a great place to take a dairy free kid as there are no dairy free options available on the kids menu. The only alternatives are to have the burger without the bun, or the pasta without any sauce. Luckily our 2 year old is not a fussy eater. The starters and kids meal were served together as requested very quickly, and were all enjoyed. Then the problem with service began. After our starters were cleared we waited for 35 minutes without any sight or mention of our main course appearing. At this point we had to ask for the bill with the mains cancelled as we had plans for the day, and our slow eating son had long finished his meal by this point, altogether making it not worthwhile us waiting any longer. The waiter told us with a straight face that he had removed the service charge from the bill along with the mains.

Top quality food. No delays between courses. Staff very good and friendly. Very clean and a lovely place

What a great place, three of us just turned expecting to be turned away as we had no reservation, we were welcomed shown to a table and immediately taken care of. Can't fault it everything was great. Will be back.

Very cramped, kept having to lean in every time anyone walked between our table and the one opposite. There were just 3 of us at a table for 4 but we were struggling for room for glasses and side dishes. Pizza was disappointing, base was so thin you didn't even taste it. It was just like eating cheese and tomato sauce. Wouldn't recommend and wouldn't go back.

The good was lovely, staff were friendly. It did feel a bit tight and stuffy. Did have to remove a few layers due to the heat but it was busy. I do recommend for families.

Fabulous food, great service and a nice atmosphere. It was a particularly windy night and they were apologetic about closing a wee bit early to make sure staff got home safely, 👍xx

Went for in for January discount for three people. Got a mocktail, beer and milkshake. Pizza, calamari starter. Mains rack ribs, beef burger and seafood pasta. All for £55. Without discount will be £84, still not too expensive. I'll gladly pay full pay

Been going here for over 15 years, sadly tonight was the first time I was disappointed with the food. The lasagna was average at best, too little cheese and too much meat, looked burnt when it arrived and it was way too hot to eat at first. The red wine we ordered was like vinegar, my friend hardly touched his, we should have ordered the house wine and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls as you walk back up the stairs.

You're going ok. The service at the table is still ok, the manager (Turkisch person) is a tragedy, you're pushing through, you won't leave because he's coming in. He did a favor by taking me to the table. When you leave a restaurant, you won't get out because it's rooting like a calf. Stars for food

Party of 6 all really enjoyed their meal and one gluten free diner was adequately catered for. Sea bass was excellent 👌

It was really busy when we arrived but luckily they managed to squeeze us in. Very attentive staff. Good atmosphere, good New York Italian feel. Food was lovely. And reasonable prices. We will be back.

Me my husband and my son orderd 2nd round after or starter's had been brought then getting or mains still no drinks said twice 2 different waiting staff still nothing got mains and after that still no drinks said again Nothing the asked for bill and had the cheek to add drinks on and never got wat a disappointing visitit. Things need to change for the women .

Appalled by service 45 minutes to get our food order taken ! had 4 year old that couldn’t even eat when meal came asked for hers out first it came last. Bolognaise was disgusting and cold . And to top it off my older daughter who had carbonara has food poisoning from it ! Will never be back .

Most timesnwe visit Glasgow we stop in here for a bite to eat as we always enjoy the food. Highly recomend the Ravioli Salsa Rosa which I get all the time. Lovely! Staff is friendly as you would expect and the atmosphere is busy, not long to wait on orders either.

Food was average ,interior a bit shabby in places

Tried this 1 for the 1st time as La Vita was to busy. Thinking well this would be probably cheaper as well. How we were wrong. The food arrived very quick so that might be why I reckon it was pricey. Pint £5.65 Bottle Diet Coke £5.90 Now that’s bad. I ordered the peppercorn chicken jeeso 1 weeks small chicken breast in loads of sauce. With a couple small slice of carrot and green beans. With about 20 chips £14.95 come on man. Then we got the bill and they had added gratin charge of 10%. Nope am out never have I ever been charged this before. Now I always tip my bill came to £89 for 2 Diet Coke 1 diet iron bru. 1 pint my wee chicken and 2 had and half with 2 starters. Am sorry but nope not for me I’m afraid. £5.90 for a Diet Coke is absolutely shocking.

Food can be a bit cool but delicious. Would only go if sitting outside.

Disappointing experience. Squished into a small table even though we had booked with plenty of notice. Trying to get the waiters attention was near impossible - constantly ignored us. Food was average, nothing special. No check backs on food or offered more drinks. Avoid the sea bass - dry, rubbery, clearly not fresh.

As a visually impaired professional I was looking for a welcoming restaurant which could accommodate a table of three visually impaired friends, plus a guide dog. Di Maggios was a fabulous choice. They couldn't have been more helpful and supportive of our wee lunch party. This is a delightful place which is inclusive of everyone. A definite find.

My seabass was burnt to a crisp and dry, stiff to bite. Not the standard I'd expect eating there for 20yrs. Service was sloppy too.

Thé best place to get italian for lunch during thé week by a mile. Their collection offers 5.90 for any pasta or pizza during thé week for lunch, you do have to order AT lunch or thé offer wont bé available before. Thé portion sizes for thèse are great value and thé quality of thé pasta IS incredible. Thé restaurant has a really interesting décor style with an old school revolving door, its really beautiful. Thé staff was kind and m'y order was ready for me when i Walked in. However keep in mind for collection orders there isnt cutlery in the bag so you may need to Ask or have your own AT thé ready.

Absolutely brilliant meal. My wife had the sea bass and I had the pizza Susanah! Both exceptional! Service was excellent and the price was very reasonable! Would definitely go back again.

Love this place, always end up spending more just to try something extra from the menu. Never disappoints, everything is good. Even simple dishes like pasta and sauce are interesting and full of flavour. I like they're half pizza half pasta option. Great for sharing and trying something new. Menu is a bit extensive and they do sneak a gratuity onto the bill so be aware.

We were pleased with our choice of venue and food. We took advantage of the shared pizza/pasta option. The Verdure pizza was generous in size and in ingredients; it tasted really nice too. The sauce in the Roast Chicken Penne Pasta was equally authentic and the dish itself filling. My only reservation would be that the pieces of chicken lacked a bit of flavour. With two glasses of wine and a tip we thought that £39 represented good value for a city centre restaurant: obviously lots of other people felt the same because the place was very busy. Service from Sehymus and his colleagues was prompt and unfussy. We’d be very happy to go back!

Pizza and Lasagne were dreadfull, wont eat in there again

If you want a quick meal with an Italian slant then is place is fine. Don't be expecting anything special. Think Macdonalds for pizza and pasta.

It was crowded, but after eating here, I understood why. I was worried my mac n'cheese would be childish, but it was elevated. I loved it, probably one of my favorite meals during my trip.

Had an interesting conversation with a self professed half Glaswegian half Chinese lady. I think her legs must be Chinese because he mouth was definitely Glasgow. Anyway, enjoyed eating outside under a canopy.

Called in on the off chance of getting a table for 4 at busy time, sorted within a couple of minutes, sat opposite the open kitchen. Food was fantastic, service too. Watching the kitchen operations was an experience, none stop every member of staff working to keep the food flowing. Will definitely return, can't reccomend this place highly enough.

Called in on the off chance of getting a table at pretty much peak time on a Saturday late afternoon. We were met by a very polite and courteous member of staff who said they would find us a table very soon. No more than a minute later we were sat a lovely table near the kitchen and drinks were offered straight away. We all had starters of speciality breads which were fresh and tasty. Mains all came shortly after and were also delicious. Overall this place was great value for money and the service was exceptional. Best off all we were very close to the open fronted kitchen which was an entertainment in itself. To watch these guys at work during a very busy period was truly amazing. Thanks to all at Di Maggios for a lovely afternoon, we will be returning 😀

there's a club and they didn't let me in coz im brown i was about to come and have fun enjoy but the security told me go find somewhere else club. i told them what's wrong with you guys i came here to enjoy. but they let browns girls in they don't let brown boys in only girls so they can get girl to spend night with them in bed such a bad experience with that club never go there guys they're racist and scared of brown boys that's they dont let browns boys ‼️BADD BAD

This wasn't our first choice, but it was a great find. We didn't make reservations, but thought we were out early enough to find an open table. We were wrong until we got here. We were quickly greeted and seated. It's a very nice little Italian place in the middle of a big Scottish city. The wait staff was very friendly and seemed genuinely impressed that I could pronounce menu items correctly. The food was very good and I can recommend this if you're looking for good food.

Always a great meal at Di Maggio’s and at a really reasonable price

We went along to this restaurant as we were struggling to find any availability for dinner on a Saturday night. We were very promptly sat down in the basement of the restaurant. However before we had even taken our coast off we were barked at for our drinks owner. We gave an order to then be asked no more than a minute later for our meal order by another member of staff. We were asked our meal and drinks order by 5 different members of waiting staff within a 10 minute period. Our drinks order arrived at high was a beer and a “non alcoholic” beer. To be given two alcoholic beers, not great to be serving this to a female who is also pregnant. Our food arrived 5 minutes later, which very quickly rose some suspicions as it was much to quick to be 2 fresh pasta dishes in a large busy restaurant. Unfortunately we never managed to finish our meal due to the lack lustre taste and lack of heat from the food. Upon receiving the bill, we were given the wrong one, to which one of the young waiters corrected his colleagues mistake. We will definitely not return to this restaurant for all of the reasons above and for the damp musty smell that accompanies.

Meal was excellent I was not aware 10% had been added to the bill I added 10% So paid an extra £20 Not happy as somebody should have pointed this out to me So tip was £34!!!! Will not be back Jim Richardson

Excellent food : King Prawns followed by Sea Bass and then Chocolate Brownie with Ice Cream. Friendly Staff and good service. Sat outside for dinner. Have been in Glasgow for five days and really wish I had visited this restaurant on day one instead of day five. Will make it my first choice next time I'm in Glasgow.

Five of us gathered to wish luck on a family member off on 3 months of travel. We went to Di Maggio's as one member of the group can't eat gluten. Service was great but the food was not outstanding. A very ordinary pizza. Great value friendly staff.

Epic lasagna. Magnificent sticky toffee with a masterfully soggy wafer beneath. Scran scran scran. Tall waiter very lovely. It did not break the banca.

This place is a relic of the past, food that was maybe acceptable 20/30 years ago. If it was half the price you could maybe still get away with it, but the price is exact same you'd pay at the equivalent competitor. The food is bland, quickly delivered, unmemorable. Kids portions minuscule, garlic bread dry and unappealing. It's veering on being an insult to Italian cuisine. I feel like these places are only still open as you scooping up the crowd who try elsewhere but can't get a table - 'always room in di maggio's'. £6 for a beer of 'milano' which was one of the most rank rotten pints I've had in a long time, if you are gonna serve this urine don't charge premium price!! It had equivalent taste of beer a 2* all inclusive hotel would serve at the side of a swimming pool 🤮 If I didn't have my son with me I'd definitely have sent the whole thing back and walked out. Clearly your business model is successful in some way, I just think you've created a handy niche in customer overflow but you won't fool me. Pls unless you have my refund organised I dont need to see your response.

There are other Di Maggio's and I'm sure they're very nice, one day I shall try them out. However, Di Maggio's in Royal Exchange Square is wonderful! Perfect location in the centre of town. Food is soooo good. Staff are all friendly and relaxed. Art Deco décor! Great value and ideal for any occasion.

Brilliant meal served outside under the marquee in the pouring rain but it was very warm, typical Glasgow summer. Staff very friendly and price very reasonable and would certainly eat from here again.

Essen ist durchschnittlich. Betreiber sind Türken, keine Italiener. Italienische Küche wird mittelmäßig kopiert. Service ist gut. Wenn ich Italienisch Essen gehen möchte, dann doch lieber zum Original.

Sat outside and got a veggie calzone and my partner got a GF bolognaise. Quick friendly service with awesome food. Not super stoked on the already applied discretionary 10% tip, I’d much rather the staff get paid more or increase prices 10% but even with that included, the price was fair. Overall, food was great, atmosphere was great, fair price and quick service. Would definitely recommend as a good place to eat.

Great location near George Square. Food was excellent. Service was fast and the staff were friendly. Had dinner there on two occasions with one time eating outside at their patio. The patio experience seemed to be faster than inside for some strange reason. Spaghetti and meatballs were fantastic.

The food was rather decent. The service was on spot. We enjoyed a birthday meal with friends. The only downfall is that it can get close in there very quickly. Regardless, we had a nice time and plan to return.
