Customer service was terrible and the way the manager spoke to customer Ra was shocking. His manner and attitude was rotten.

I visited this place tonight and the food was lovely. However, when I went to pay for the food using an its on voucher I had just purchased, the owner said it had been used. He was extremely rude and unhelpful. I had purchased the voucher at 4:18pm and the manager said I had scanned the voucher at 4:27pm. Therefore, I had to pay the meal in full and have lost the its on voucher. I tried to explain that I just ordered food at after 5 so couldn't have used the voucher. The manager was very arrogant and made me feel like I was lying. His manner and attitude was truly disgusting.This was my first and last time visiting this restaurant. All the manager said was contact its on and get a refund - which wouldn't be possible if the voucher was saying used. Personally, I think the manager was annoyed because I didn't mention the code at the start of the meal.However, I have used its on so many times and this has never been an issue.Do not buy a voucher for this place it's a waste of time. Go somewhere else and get treated with respect and manners!!

First time here, been to the Italian restaurant that used to be there. Osteria is a lovely, charming Italian restaurant. The staff can't do enough & the food we had (pasta) & the side salad was delicious and warm. Salad very crisp, came with oils. Waiter offered black pepper & pamersan.

Had a voucher for lunch for two £29 went to pay to be told had to inform them I was using a voucher so had to pay for lunch which was terrible garlic prawns were four prawns on a large plate with lettuce leaves and garlic bread wax a slice of white bread with garlic on it macaroni main large plate of pasta with sauce very bland £19 for a two course lunch la vita and Amore are less expensive and food quality and service is miles better

This is not an authentic Italian restaurant . The chef is not even from Italy.or of any descendent ( this not a racial comment of any kind ) The meal itself was rather poor and I feel even thou it was a woucher meal for 2 courses , They obliged the offer with a poor menu choice , 9 choices between a started and a meal with 7 other options with a £3 surcharge , 7 prawns on a dish that was suppose to be ( king prawns ) were not as they are described , dew of dribbled water with a hit of dry spices and basil garnish , and I had to pay an extra £3 for this . the bread ( bruschetta) was standard sliced bread covered in a hit of garlic and presented as garlic bread also from the same loaf , if am not mistaken , bruschetta come with crusty bread ? Not sliced loaf . Always been funny about Italian food as I feel a bag of pasta is just over £1 and for the sauce it’s around £2.50 . To then charge over £10 for bowl it pretty much a guaranteed profit for the owners , Won’t be back and would advise anyone with sense to see that this is pretty much a rip off .

We went on the off chance we’d get in. It was fully booked but the owner kindly offered us a small table in the corner to begin with. Shortly after we were seated he came back and said there was a table being made available for us. We were asked promptly which drinks we would like and given menu’s. The three of us had starter’s, mains and pudding’s, all of which was presented impressively and tasted fabulous. We all had the steak which we all agreed was cooked perfectly and the sauce tasted great. The staff were very attentive. The ambience lovely. Highly recommend and would definitely go back again. Visited for lunch on a Saturday afternoon with three friends on a groupon deal. Having read some bad reviews was a bit worried but needen't have been. From the moment we arrived we were very well taken care of by our waiter who couldn't do enough for us. The food was very nice. We tried various starters and sampled pizza, rissotto and two different pasta dishes for mains all of which were tasty and good sized portions. Would have been good value even without the deal and we will definitely return.

Visited last night for dinner with a Wowcher voucher , was given 2 course menu only for it to be taken off us, had to order of main, drawbacks of a voucher, was seated at bar area, it was cold, ordered focaccia to start was nice, mains were pollo alla funghi and my husband had Pollo Milanese, pollo alla funghi with veg wasn’t edible, chicken was overcooked, suspect microwaved and sauce was tasteless, complained and told can’t give u money back so order a dessert or coffee instead, during the meal there was a heated exchange with staff n chef right in front of us, visited here a few times and always been good food and good value, but not today, having a voucher should not mean below par food, won’t return . On top of voucher (£30)our bill was £27

Arrived at restaurant and were very kindly fitted in without a booking, food was nice enough, had a pleasant enough evening, service was slow but nothing major. BUT I was charged £75 for items that added up to around £48-50, I did not notice as waiter had knocked my bag over (my mistake) and I was trying to pay quickly to treat my husband. As soon I got home I noticed and added up what we had and saw that there was around a £28 difference. Contacted the restaurant who weren't helpful at all, they were actually more interested in the fact I said my bill should have been £48 and they said it should in fact have been £52 (still £23 less than I was charged) person I spoke to had a horrible immature attitude and was more interested in "being right" than actually trying to get to the bottom of what had happened and why I was overcharged! Would never go back. After reading the reviews it seems a common theme with the manager and his bad attitude. Good luck to anyone who goes here, and please check your bill before you pay.

We recently visited Osteria while we were in Glasgow. We were greeted warmly upon our arrival and were seated promptly. We enjoyed appetizers and wine. The flatbread was served warm and was flavorful. We also enjoyed the King Prawns, although the portion size could be larger. The wine list was varied and met our needs. We will visit Osteria again when we are in Glasgow.

Without doubt, this was a shocking experience! The service was atrocious, the food was mediocre at best and the place is in need of cleaning and getting taps in the bathroom fixed. Avoid!

Friendly staff, great food at a really good price too. 10 of us went so big crowd of us, service was fast and a great offer on for a set meal plus drink.

This was our first visit to Osteria, despite Italian cuisine being our favourite We booked the 2 for £29 deal through Itison - this allows for 2 course and a glass of wine each There was a separate menu for the deal; standard for many restaurants There were plenty of options for both starters and mains - bruschetta, fritters, garlic bread, soup for starters and various pizzas, pasta and risottos for mains We both opted for bruschetta to start, followed by rigatoni pomodoro and risotto mediterraneo, a house red and house white Often with a deal like this the portions can be smaller - this was absolutely not the case here The bruschetta arrived with a large helping of tomatoes which tasted just off the vine, and the bread tasted freshly baked. The olive oil was light and the balsamic vinegar was sharp The pasta and risotto were also freshly made and piping hot; the authentic Italian flavours really coming through, and the portions were almost unmanageable (given how tasty they were though, we managed!) The white wine was crisp and sharp, and the red wine was light and fruity The service was excellent, and the enclosed patio area where we sat will be lovely in the winter The restaurant decor was authentic without looking dated We would definitely return and will recommend to others

Delicious home cooked style Italian food. Lovely staff and decor inside lovely and cosy. Meatballs are incredible and the customer care is on point .

We booked the deal which was advertised constantly on Facebook - £18.95 + a free drink for 4 of us. When we arrived the waiter said there was no free drink, he didn't know of this deal. I showed him the deal online. He did give us the free drink, wine or soft drink only. He was the only person working there and was doing everything! He did give good service though, and we didn't have to wait too long. The portions were small and not great, have had so much better Italian food in Glasgow and good deals are available. The chicken milanese was the smallest portion of chicken I have ever had - not great. Chicken Milanese is usually a large, flat piece of chicken in golden breadcrumbs, this was not great at all. I wouldn't rush back.

This is a plain Italian restaurant in Glasgow. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I needed to eat as I had a late night meeting. The food is excellent, basic Italian, and the wines are good. It is defintely worth a try, although there is not much ambience.

We have been to Osteria a number of times and have always enjoyed the experience. Nice food, friendly staff and very good value for money. I have no idea how anyone could complain about the lasagne because it’s lovely. Other favourites are the prawns with spaghetti and the goats cheese and caramelised onion bruschetta. There’s loads on the menu to choose from and prices are excellent for a city centre. It’s a nice chilled place, we have never felt rushed and the staff are pleasant and friendly. What’s not to like 😊

Attended this restaurant yesterday for the 2 course 18.50 deal with a glass of wine, the restaurant was nearly empty but for some reason we were seated in the back of the restaurant away from everyone else not sure if this is where the Kooble (5pm) bookings sit. To start off with we were asked what we would like to drink with the drink that comes with the meal we asked for 2 glasses of dry white wine to be told this wasn't included we could either have a sweet white wine or rose, we plumped for a rose although wasn't ideal for the waiter to return with what could only be described as a thimble full in each glass. Looking at the menu more than half of which had supplements added we chose prawns and deep fried mushrooms to start, cannot complain both were nice. For main course my wife choose a milanese chicken burger which really turned out to be an ordinary chicken burger which was at best okay, I made the huge mistake of thinking that an Italian restaurant couLd make a decent lasagne boy was I mistaken when it came the surrounding tomato sauce was overpowering and when opening up the lasagne there was very little meat and absolutely no bechamel or cheese sauce it was digusting could barely eat a quarter of it!!! my wife also tried to order a portion of onion rings to be told " we don't do onion rings" I worry about a chef who cannot rustle up onion rings!! Would not set foot in this place again great location terrible food

We have been customers for the past 7 years and we loved going especially on a Sunday. Tonight I wanted to treat my husband to a birthday dinner. Mix up with the booking, made us wait. Food took forever, the portions were tiny, my order was wrong and worse still the food was terrible, we left the mains, paid the bill and left. To make the whole experience worse the comp soft drinks we were promised were actually not free. It was a horrible dining experience. Very sad to see the demise of a nice place. Lockdown killed, inflation and prices hikes have finished it. That was our last visit we won’t ever return.

This restaurant has a lovely ambiance. Our starters and main courses were delicious, and we were glad we left room for the delicious desserts on offer. Our server was courteous, attentive and had a touch of humour thrown in. We are very happy to recommend Osteria as a lovely place to dine with family and friends.

Dreadful. Ignored when entered. Asked for a certain pizza and out came a calzone. Asked for the original pizza and got something completely different.

We enjoyed a range of dishes from the lunch time menu which did not disappoint. The risottos were particularly enjoyed. Service was excellent.

We visited for an early dinner before going to an event. Lovely interior, delicious pizzas, good wine and wonderful service. Would definitely eat there again if we're ever back in Glasgow.

The osteria was one of the most delicious experiences i had in glasgow, ive had quality time with my friends there, fresh food and friendly staff, ive had meat balls for starter and the salmon with mustard with roast potato as main was amazing.

Everything was fresh and cooked at perfection . My kids ordered a brownie Sundays and they enjoyed every single bit of it ! Cappuccino and latte to finish up. Great Italian restaurant.

A real gem in the City cenof Glasgow. The food was excellent and the service super effective. I Don't understand how can this real Italina restaurant have bad reviews. I will highly recommend Osteria coming here you cannot get wrong. Excellent work Osteria keep up your good job !!!

I have been in this restaurant for years and I have always had a good experience. I come this time with my colleagues after a meeting in town. Food was superb and the staff very helpful. The dessert are all Home made and the tiramisu was very good. Highly recommend.

having purchased a £30 spend for £19 from Itison we thought we had a bargain and having been to Osteria several times before we knew what we were going to order before we arrived ...our favourite is Chicken Milanese, unfortunately, we were totally disappointed ... the chicken inside the breadcrumbs was the thickness of a ten pence piece !! ?? also my starter meatballs were tiny and hard ... when the waiter came to take our plates away I complained about the chicken and showed him the piece I had left on my plate... he apologised and came back to us to say he would remove the food costs from the bill and as we had bought a bottle of wine we only had £3 to pay ... nice gesture but we left feeling annoyed and cheated out of what should have been an enjoyable night out ... I suspect the business has changed hands, this could not have been a one off ... we will never go back and I will never recommend Osteria to anyone. POOR POOR POOR ... dont waste your money on any of their "offers"

Dined here with my nephew recently as it’s been my favourite Restaurant anywhere for many years. I say “dined” but it’s not just the exceptionally delicious food, it is not just the friendly and charming people who work here, it’s not just the wonderful ambience of the place, rather a combination of all these and much more that make this place the fabulous place that it always is without exception. I introduced my nephew to the place last September; I wish we could go more often; we live three hundred miles away but are regular visitors to Glasgow. He is something of a food and wine Connoisseur and loved it in September, realising the appeal of it to me over the years. However this time he came out with the staggering comment that it surpassed even his favourite local Restaurant and if you knew how much he loves that place you would realise what a tremendous compliment that is! Thank you SO much to Felice and to Filipo ( forgive the spelling!) for looking after us so warmly and admirably on this occasion; we are already looking forward to our next visit.

Party of 6 came for Mother's Day and the service was awful. We've been here many times before and never had any issues, so this was a big disappointment. Arrived, waited 15 minutes and still no menu, had to ask the waitress. Ordered after waiting about 40 minutes - tried to get the managers attention, but he snapped back at me to "just give me a second". Over an hour had past and still no food or drinks, at this point we were thinking about leaving. Told the guy behind the bar we had been in over an hour and not even a drink. Drinks finally arrived after 75 minutes, only 1 strawberry daiquiri when 2 were ordered. Had to ask for another to be made, it didn't arrive for another 15 minutes. Starters arrived, but one person didn't get theirs. Had to ask for it, it had been completely forgotten, so arrived about 10-15 mins late. Main course, had to ask for replacement cutlery, same person who had no starter served was given penne pasta instead of spaghetti with their spaghetti bolognese, when the waiter was questioned, no apology was given and they just said they had ran out of spaghetti. Dessert had been ordered with starters and mains, menu stated ice cream was 2 scoops. One person ordered just strawberry, one person ordered strawberry and vanilla and one person ordered just chocolate - 3 single scoops bowls of strawberry ice cream arrived. When the waiter was questioned about it being wrong and supposed to be 2 scoops, he just shrugged his shoulders and said "no, it's only 1 scoop on the set menu". No apology offered. They were totally understaffed with only 3 people serving the whole restaurant and the entire time we were there they were desperately trying to accommodate more tables with people queing at the door and people queing to pay or to ask for more drinks because no-one was serving them at their table. Utter chaos. They should never have had so many customers with so little staff. The bill was £180. The service was a disgrace, especially given it was a special occasion such as Mother's Day. It's a shame, because the food was good, but we won't be back after this experience.

Came for mother’s day and waited over an hour for our food when the resturant wasn’t overly busy. There looked to be only 2 waiters working, one behind the bar and the other trying his best to cover the rest of the restaurant on his own. Fortunately the food was lovely but waiting an hour for 3 plates of pasta is hugely excessive even if it is prepared fresh. We finished our drinks 20 minutes before the food arrived and no one came to ask if we wanted anything more. Eventually we had to go to the bar ourselves and ask for more drinks, to be told the other waiter would take our order, who then never came to do so. Also the two waiters started arguing with each other on the floor after another table had been left unattended for 45 minutes. The food was lovely which was the only reason I paid the bill, but the service was terrible and really lacking, especially on mother’s day.

Service was poor waited 70 mins for main course and the order was wrong.twice. Won’t be coming back my wife’s pasta was wrong and gor drinks order wrong.

Waited over an hour for our food. When it arrived I sent mine back as stone cold. After being micro waved was edible! Cannot fault waiter as not his fault BUT when we went to speak to manager, he was mega arrogant, told us to leave. This after spending £180 in his restaurant! Will not be back which is a shame as this used to be one of our favourite places, Avoid at all costs!

We had a great lunch at Osteria. We ate from the set menu which had lots of choice. We were a table of 6 and were welcomed by staff and they were very attentive. The food was lovely and great value for the February set menu deal. We did not feel rushed and we had such an enjoyable experience. Thank you to all the staff!

The pollo Milanese was inedible. Soooo over fried. Rock hard, so we’re the mushrooms in my stater! Asked for water with the starter! No show. Asked again and both waiters brought water! 4 glasses, no jug to help myself. Very disappointed as it was a Xmas present for us. Hope I don’t get another one for your restaurant!!!!

I have been to his restaurant many times as the food is nice and they do a good deal that includes a free wine or soft drink. However, there hasn't been a single time when the bill has been correct. They always add the cost of the drinks on,even though they acknowledge to you on entry that you have the deal with the free drink. I think this is a tactic they use as they believe most people would be too embarrassed to point it out and just pay it. I'm not embarrassed and always have to approach them to have the costs of the drinks removed and they do it without question because they are aware of what they are doing. So visit but look at your bill before you pay.

First visit and mixed feelings. On arrival we were passed menus (could do with printing a new batch) and no one took a drinks order. Eventually after about 10 minutes someone took a drinks order. 4 starters were fine and chicken / pizzas / lasagne all good. The meatballs came as a starter portion without the spaghetti. After 10 minutes the correct dish appeared which was not great and was left half finished. The bill arrived and our assumed 10% discount from 5pm wasn’t on it. We were asked to show our booking which I did and this didn’t qualify for the 10%….. Overall a mixed bag.

Early lunch so the place was quiet, we used an online deal so it was great value, but soft drinks are very overpriced. We both had pizza which was beautifully freshly made and tasted great.

Went here planning on having a nice evening meal. The front of the menu states 'There's no rush!' However, a very rude and aggressive member of service staff spoiled the experience. We were seated & handed our menus then literally 30-40 seconds later we were asked what we wanted; when I asked for a couple more minutes we were rudley told 'I have other people waiting for a table you know'. If this had been said with any hint of humour or a smile then it would have been brushed off but it was said in a somewhat aggressive manner. I just picked the first thing on the menu & my partner picked something at random as people at neighbouring tables were looking over probably wondering why we were being shouted at! The food was ok, and the other members of staff seemed quite pleasant so it was a shame that our evening was spoiled by feeling 'rushed' the whole time by that one staff member. In summary food ok, customer service very poor.

What can I say, one of the best Christmas lunches we have ever had, excellent welcome from the staff even though it was really busy, they did their best to give us a wonderful lunch, fantastic atmosphere with beautiful decorations. Excellent menu with many choices available, in fact although we were a nice group of 25 and having almost all chosen different types of dishes, the food arrived really quickly and was fabulous from the starter to the dessert.
