Great food, big portions. Lovely cocktails. Staff are very friendly.

Teníamos una reserva, pero la mesa no estaba lista para el menú pre-teatro. Estábamos apremiados por el tiempo con un concierto al que ir, pero no había ninguna pista de que la mesa iba a estar lista incluso después de una espera de 10 minutos. Lo peor es que el menú incluye elementos denotados como V - presumiblemente para vegetarianos - y vegano - vegano? Pero esta última incluye queso y crema. Así que un menú confuso si se trata de encontrar platos veganos o sin lácteos. El personal de cocina parecía acosado a menudo discutiendo con el gerente / propietario. Nos fuimos después de una espera, sin probar la comida, ya que no queríamos quedarnos.

Mesa reservada para 4 el sábado 15 de febrero, los entrantes y la comida principal era absolutamente precioso! No podía faltar la comida, fue lo mejor de la visita. Pedí un cóctel Woohoo que fue un desastre, estoy bastante seguro de que el jugo de arándano estaba apagado. El cóctel estaba tan agrio, imposible de beber, que dejó el vaso lleno. Mencionado al camarero y se lo llevó y ya no después, un Supervisor/gerente personalmente ni siquiera sé lo que era, pero debe tener algún tipo de autoridad ya que me dijeron que mi cóctel fue retirado de la factura. Bueno claramente, no se llevó nada , engañoso y un muy buen mentiroso , billete se imprimió y el pago se tomó segundos después , ni siquiera nos dio tiempo a mirar para asegurarnos de que todo estaba bien. (Tiene sentido ahora por qué!!! ) ¡Absolutamente deshonra del servicio al cliente! No recomendaría o volvería!

Alguna pieza rara y callarnos. Ni niños. Una cena encantadora una vez más. Ambos estamos de acuerdo en que es nuestro italiano favorito ahora. Comida excelente, el personal excelente, gran tamaño, grandes bebidas. 3a vez aquí ahora y cada vez que hemos estado de acuerdo ha sido excelente. Gran menú, gran pinta y cócteles. Buena relación calidad-precio. Músculos excelentes y una buena porción, gambas excelentes. Cantidad justa antes de la principal para la Sra. Entonces nuestro Pollo Picante habitual. 🇮🇹❤️🫡✔️

Fuimos por el menú de xamas elegimos nuestros inicios y plato principal. luego dijo que era demasiado tarde jajaja así que dijo que te doy la misma comida fuera de la carta dijimos que bien. ambos eligieron mejillones salsa de ajo. Saqué salsa de tomate y ella consiguió lubina. Yo tengo pollo con champiñones con patatas fritas. No es lo que yo ordené en los menús de Navidad tan grande defraudado entonces boom el billete 70 para la comida era escandaloso ni siquiera grandes porciones o comida correcta que estábamos pensando que cobramos el 19. 95 almuerzo tbh ni siquiera vale la pena que debería de no pagar y salir gf no quería causar un alboroto. tan pagado que no será de vuelta estafa total créeme el peor itslian en Glasgow y el jefe dice que es el mejor engañado

Reservado almuerzo de Navidad para mí y un amigo. El precio era muy razonable en comparación con otros restaurantes del centro de Glasgow menús de almuerzo de Navidad, £ 19. 95 por 3 cursos de domingo a jueves. Llegamos a las 12 de la noche y ningún otro cliente, nos dieron una mesa de ventana, resultó ser un error ya que parecía no haber calefacción y restaurante solo parecía más cálido al salir unas dos horas más tarde. Solo una persona de servicio, que parecía ser el propietario, pero era eficiente y atento, incluso cuando el lugar se puso un poco más ocupado. La comida era muy promedio, los ingredientes promedio estándar. Lo mejor fue el tiramasu casero. Otra queja fue el cargo por servicio del 10% añadido a la factura, en nuestro caso 5 libras esterlinas , que aumentó el coste final. Podría añadir que estaba feliz de dejar una propina, ya que el servicio era bueno, pero £ 5 para dos personas para el almuerzo . . Diciendo todo esto le daremos a Verona otra oportunidad en Año Nuevo para un almuerzo normal, otras críticas recientemente han dado buenas críticas para la comida. He dado una calificación media ya que hay mejores restaurantes italianos en Glasgow, pero como se ha dicho dará a Verona otra oportunidad.

Primera visita aquí y no será la última. Almorzamos aquí de camino a un espectáculo en el Teatro Pabellón que está cerca. Personal muy amable, restaurante encantador y menú extenso. La focaccia es ligera y sabrosa. Los espaguetis carbonara y la Casareccia primavera se cocinaron a la perfección. Una botella de vino y un excelente café completaron un muy buen almuerzo. No hay tiempo para el pudín, ya que nos dirigíamos al teatro, pero esperamos volver a este restaurante.

Teníamos el menú de la cena previa al teatro. Mucha elección. La comida era deliciosa. Excelente relación calidad-precio. El personal era amable y atento. Preciosa decoración. Recomiendo encarecidamente este auténtico restaurante italiano.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant! We went for dinner a little later than normal and there was no wait time. The staff were very friendly and welcomed us with a smile! I couldn't recommend this place enough - the food was fresh and delicious 😋! Keep up the good work guys 😊

Very quiet for a Friday night and no wonder. We had Mr Angry as our waiter who completely ignored reasonable comments. Most of the food was fine but the chicken was like cardboard and should never have left the kitchen. Sorry to say the staff is letting the place down more than the food. I couldn't recommend and I wouldn't return. Far too much choice in the city centre to be treated badly as a paying guest.

A great find on the way to the city centre late on a Friday night. Food was amazing and so full of flavours. Staff friendly and value for money, will definitely return. Wine prices very reasonable and restaurant setting nice and relaxed.

Italian resturant in city center a excellent food and service my son had the steak and I ordered a risotto with sea food. The presentation is amazing the plate is an art. The price of the steak is a bit high.

Fantastic food! We opted for the Pre- Theatre menu which had a great selection - the a la Carte menu is vast! Everything was excellent; staff were lovely. Would definitely go back.

Called ahead to confirm that the price of the 2 course weekday lunch menu was £14.95 and that it included wine or Prosecco as per the website stated, to be informed that it did so booked a table. On arrival several staff were sitting on a table near kitchen and there was only 1 table of diners in the restaurant so pretty quiet looking. Despite the lack of customers the waiter was very unhelpful, first we asked what the soup of the day was and he stated “broth”, my mother asked if it was vegetable or chicken and he looked pretty annoyed to be asked such a question and went and asked the chef who advised it was vegetable! He then disappeared to attend to the other table’s bill and when he came back to take the drinks order we asked for the wine that was included with the 2 course lunch, he looked perplexed and advised that the 5pm deal included a glass of Prosecco… at the very end of the meal! We stated it wasn’t a 5pm booking and we had looked on the website that stated wine or Prosecco was included with the lunch, he looked confused and went to ask someone and mumbled something about it being changed while he was on holiday! He came back and advised that the wine could be taken at the end of the meal! Why would we want the wine at the end of the meal other than so they can make us buy other drinks at the start of the meal! Never in all my years of hospitality experience have I heard of such a ridiculous lunch deal! At this point we left the restaurant. So the business just lost potentially £80 or more of business because of this unprofessional waiter who didn’t even know the soup of the day or the current lunch offer on the website. His attitude was miserable and unfriendly so we thought we would instead visit a restaurant who wanted our custom and that’s exactly what we did! Such a shame for the business owner to have such poor representation in their company, having worked in hospitality I know good customer service and this is the low end of the scale. Won’t be back and don’t recommend sadly.

Had a really tasty seafood pasta which i felt i had to review as i am not, generally, a lover of pasta but was tempted by the seafood. Will definitely be back.

Steak really fatty right through. Tiramisu like a block of whipped cream. No coffee / marsala wine flavour whatsoever. Salmon and sticky toffee pudding good. Overcharged on bill compared to menu price. Also charged for separate portion of fries that should have came with the steak as they served with rice in error.

Everything is exquisite 👌🏼 Our Garzón Caramel's attention was very kind and cordial... he recommended very good dishes, good prices.

Since our last visit 5 years ago, the restaurant has had a full refurbishment, and it looks very stylish and obviously professionally done. We chose the 3-course pre-theatre menu which was great value for money. Food was authentic Italian and really delicious. The tiramisu was especially tasty! Thank you to the friendly staff who looked after us. We highly recommend this restaurant!

Excelent deal, relation price-quality and attention

Food was ok, I've had better pizza and pasta elsewhere, not worth the price. Waiter was nice. However, service was extremely slow. I booked a table for 7, and the food took over an hour to arrive! This could be expected with a larger table but 4 tables of 4 came in after us and were served and finished their meals before ours arrived. I would not eat here again, I did not feel very welcome. My group were all younger than the people at other tables but, we were polite and dressed well - I feel like the service was poorer for us because those other tables were older people and the restaurant seemed to care more about them. The manager guy was quite cheeky when we had to rush to leave too! - We had somewhere else to be at 7pm, we sat down in the restaurant 20 past 5. There was no good reason for our meals to take so long.

I am writing whilst waiting for them to recalculate our bill after over charging. This was just one of many disappointing things about Verona. The service is truly awful, they barely came to check on the table and take dishes away. Worst thing was they screwed up our booking, claiming it was for the previous day despite proof that it wasn't, saying it was our fault. Overpriced too.

The food is really nice, but the waiter and owner of the restaurant were way too chatty, asking invasive personal questions, even though I clearly showed that I don't want to engage with them in a conversation and it happened to me several times already. Probably not visiting ever again.

Staff were nice, starters were good, the lasagne was watery, however, they have started adding a service charge, for a table of 10 I get it, but for a table of 2? Come on, I left the exact money and didn't tip. As I'll do with anywhere putting a service charge on.

Had a table booked tonight to have dinner with my daughter. We arrive slightly early but were seated right away. I explained my daughter would struggle to eat from the set Christmas menu and it was no problem as we were given the main menu with no questions asked. All of the staff were extremely friendly and checked in with us often despite how busy they were. The starters arrived and were bigger than most mains. I had the mussels and they were the best I have ever had. There was a gap between the starter and main but I really liked that, that you did not feel rushed with the next course being served as soon as plates were moved. After those starters, we were glad of the break. Both girls and the Glaswegian guy working were super friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. I considered changing my booking after seeing some reviews on here. I am so glad I didn’t and so wanted to share my excellent experience. I can’t wait to go back soon. Thank you 🙂

Just back home from a fabulous lunch ,to catch up with family for Christmas , been plenty of times before to this place so it doesn't disappoint, good value ,home made tiramisu was excellent , we were a party ot 6 ,and the service was great thank you guys ,be back soon ..

I visited Verona’s Glasgow with a group of seven, including a baby and two children, on Saturday the 9th December 2023, and I regret to say our experience was deeply disappointing. Initially, we faced an issue with high chairs;they were unable to give us one? Despite no other children in the restaurant? One was eventually provided but it was dirty, with traces of mouldy food, necessitating a request for cleaning. The service was far from satisfactory. Menus were not cleared from our table, and the wait time for our food was unreasonably long, leading us to forgo dessert entirely. Adding to our frustration, we were charged for a three-course set menu, a detail not communicated to us beforehand, and the options available were extremely underwhelming. The staff’s demeanor significantly detracted from our dining experience. They appeared stressed, engaged in arguments amongst themselves, and in one alarming instance, a staff member accidentally knocked over my friend. Our requests for children’s menus were met with abrupt responses and eventual neglect, as we never received them. When we enquired about options for the children, we were vaguely told they could have any pizza or pasta. Our request for macaroni seemed to confuse the staff, who questioned if we wanted tomato in it – a query that struck us as unusual. Further unsettling was witnessing two women engaging in illegal drug use in the bathroom while I was waiting with my child. Moreover, our table was not provided with Christmas crackers, unlike others, and we had to specifically request them for the kids. While they were provided without hassle, it was another oversight in a series of disappointments. In conclusion, our visit to Verona’s Glasgow was marked by poor service, inadequate facilities, and a general lack of attention to detail. The experience was not only disappointing but also expensive, and it has dissuaded us from returning.

Xmas Dinner absolutely rubbish service rubbish

Really disappointing, made to wait for 25 minutes at the freezing front door (even though we booked weeks in advance, and there were two empty tables!). When we finally were given a table it was in direct line to the door and the freezing cold draft that made it bitterly cold and uncomfortable. Service was so slow, we were very much mislead with the Christmas menu. Bruschetta starter was wrong, but i was so hungry i ate it. Waited over 30 minutes for mains to come out, which were wrong again - vegetarian risotto with chicken?! It wasn't remotely like that what was described on the menu - no broccoli, no mushrooms, no peppers, literally just chicken and onion. We had to eat scolding hot food in less than 5 minutes (i wish i was kidding) as our taxi was waiting outside. Asked 3 people for the bill, which was massively inflated, queried and it was discounted thankfully. Did not agree with the service charge being added on and if we had more time i would have asked for it have been removed, you cannot dictate how much a customer should tip, especially when the service was so poor. Don't waste your time, there are much better places to eat in the city.

Not the best experience. Arrived to find out Al a carte menu wasn't on, even though being advertised online. Ask the manager on arrival if we could have fillet steak, he checked and confirmed no problem. Starter came after 50 minute wait, waited a further 30 minutes to find out we were being served sirloin , but tbh it looked and tasted more like minute steak.

Unfortunately my friends and I had a terrible experience in Verona last night. I had booked a table for 3 people weeks in advance but we were made to wait at the front door, hanging around and in the way for nearly 30 minutes. We were expecting to order from a pre theatre menu but were given a Christmas one which for some weird reason had different times to a pre theatre set meal, so the most expensive options took effect from 3.45pm...? We only had a set amount of time and given the delay in getting seated, we were conscious we'd need to be in and out pretty quickly. Our table was right in front of the doors, so not a nice seat with the wind wrapping around our ankles every time the door opened. Our starters came and were OK but them we waited 25 mins for our main. During this time we asked 3 different people for the bill so we could bolt as soon as we'd eaten. We had 5 mins to eat our food as our taxi was prebooked to collect us at 6pm. When my vegetarian risotto arrived, there was huge lumps of chicken throughout. I was too hungry to complain and ate around the chicken but I am a vegetarian and if I'd had time, would have sent it back. Our bill was £140 which was a total joke. I complained and some drinks were taken off the price but overall it was not a nice experience and I'm really disappointed as I'd arranged this for my friends birthday. Will NOT be returning again.

Bad Italian and incorrect prices. We thought we would have a lunchtime special priced at £14.95 per person for 2 courses. We ordered King Prawns and a Prawn cocktail for starters and a Spaghetti Bolognese and Penne Arabiata for the main. Thinking we were paying £14 95 each we were told that there was a supplement of £2,50 for the King Prawns and £1,50 extra for the Prawn Cocktail. As well as a supplement of £2 for the Spaghetti Bolognese! We has 2 glasses of red wine also. The King Prawns were small and had no taste. The Prawn Cocktail was OK but bread that accompanied was stale and not home baked as advertised. The Spaghetti Bolognese was OK but I can't understand when Lasagne that was also on the menu had no supplement considering it is a pasta with Bolognese sauce but prepared differently. The Penne Arabiata was disgusting. Swimming in grease and tasteless, the only thing I can say is that the food was hot. Most of the meal was left and when the waiter asked if we enjoyed it we said no. No offer of compensation or a free drink was offered. We won't be back again. The meal came to £51.70

Dear Chef and staff, We had a meal in Verona last night, all five of us were blown away with how good the food was, so good that my friend said it was the best food she had ever tasted! I had the spaghetti with the fresh capers, tomatoes and olives it was delicious. Thank you chef! The service and care at the table was lovely. All round great experience.

A diamond in the ruff a bit out of the main city centre but defo worth a visit food amazing all staff very accommodating very relaxing and a great start to your evening would highly recommend.

Se sei italiano la regola è che all'estero non devi andare nei ristoranti italiani, ma io sono sempre all'estero per lavoro quindi ogni tanto devo fare uno strappo......la cosa che mi fa imbestialire è trovare un locale italiano gestito da personale NON italiano.....sono stati un po rudi nel servirmi, mi hanno messo nel piatto dell'antipasto una porzione di burro nella vaschettina tipo colazione, la carne era discreta ma mi hanno servito un calice di vino rosso della casa.....annacquato!!! Ho chiesto se avevano una bottiglia di acqua San Pellegrino e sullo scontrino c'era ma mi hanno portato una bottiglietta differente. Da italiano.....evitate!!!!

Beautiful meals, big up to the chef 🧑‍🍳. Wow the meals are very tasty 👅, but the service is next to zero, no one asks you how is your meal, and you need to look for the waiter all the time. If they can fire all waiters and employ people with great customer service that will be the best restaurant in Glasgow city centre. I had to ask for a bill, unfortunately, there was nobody available to order the dessert from.

Visited recently , ordered carbonara which was good, tho maybe the bacon needed a little more caramelisation. The garlic bread with mozzarella and onions was excellent, dessert was decent though the ice cream was over frosted. Service was superb.

My Sone had got me the Voucher for my birthday so we went and Wow what a lovely Lunch we had the Food and Service was Amazing the place clean & tidy the Verona doesn’t look inviting from the outside but once your through the doors it’s a true dining experience we shall go back sometime 10/10

On out resent visitto Glasgow for a break westumvled acroos thislo ely Italian restaurant the staff couldn't be anymore helpful...went there for dinner but didn't realise they were going to close but they let us eat...pasta was delicious and staff very nice made myself and my partner feel very welcome... the owner himself came out to talk to us ..portions and pri es are very good...so good we went there again today for lunch before we travelled home...the lunch menu is very reasonable and the portion size is very good for the price...we had a 2 course lunch for under £15 ... also a nice touch was they remember you and ask how you are...definitely recommend this lovely Italian restaurant we will definitely be back!.... bon appetite 😋

Netter Service, sehr leckeres Essen. Ab und zu kommt der Koch mal aus der Küche um der heißen Temperatur zu entfliehen und plauscht mit den Gästen.

Consistently outstanding food. Possibly the best Italian food in Glasgow, and the best mussels anywhere! Great value, too, especially on the pre- theatre menu. Could be perfect with more attentive service, but overall still 5 stars.

Great service, food was great. Had the pre-theatre tiger prawn starter and sirloin. Steak was tender, juicy and cooked exactly as I asked, great flavour and well seasoned.

I was in Glasgow on a business trip, and decided to bring my mum and daughters with me for the ride. Trying to find a restaurant that the girls agree to (one is unbelievably fussy) is a mission in itself, but here was definitely a hit with them. The waiters even made jokes with them, which I thought was lovely. The food...one word...amazing!! As soon as you walk in, the waiters cannot do enough. My mother and I had 3 courses, and my two teenage daughters had 2 courses (main and pudding). We all had empty plates. I had minestrone soup, delicious. Spaghetti carbonara, delicious. And for dessert, the profiteroles. TO DIE FOR!!! If I'm ever back in Glasgow, I'll certainly be returning to this little gem of a restaurant, and I'll be recommending it to anyone that I know who's in the city. Thank you 😊

Went to Verona on Saturday for parents birthday lunches. Staff were very friendly and kept us all entertained. The bar tender was brilliant great chat and served some delicious cocktails! Food was well presented and very very tasty. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back again 😀

One of my favourite places for high quality Italian food, spotless, fair prices and they have wonderful mussels

We came here before a concert at the end of January. Service was first class, we were seated promptly, drinks order taken not long after and then the food order. We shared a side for our starter and I had Mushroom risotto for my main while my partner had Carbonara. Both dishes were extremely delicious and the whole experience was value for money. We will certainly be back

We came in on the off chance of grabbing a table. The man at the front of house said we could but he needed it back ASAP and we needed to be quick. The service was then really slow, the starters were quick to come out but the mains took a good half hour at least to come out. The food was okay but nothing to really shout about but it was decent value for many as we got 2 courses for £20 on the pre theatre menu.

Visited here with my husband. Clean and nice looking restaurant. Service and food excellent.Prices for lunch and pre theatre really good. Only downside is step from ladies which I fell down and really hurt myself. Although staff were very helpful I am left with swollen ankle legs and shoulder.I was lucky but anyone else it may have been much worse. I believe has occurred before here . This issue must be addressed before they are sued by someone really injured.
