I grew up eating here. I came back after years, but won’t be back again. The older woman serving us was so incredibly and inexplicably rude you’d think I’d killed her cat. I do have a headscarf on now, don’t if that triggered her or what. Never again.

Great little Italian with lots of options. We had the garlic prawns, minestrone soup, ciabatta sandwich with chicken pesto and a spaghetti Bolognese. All dishes were high quality and tasted freshly cooked. Dishes were fairly priced and portion size was huge. The spaghetti Bolognese could have easily fed two. Service was average with the timing of dishes pretty off - two starters and the sandwich arrived first with the spaghetti arriving about 20 mins later (after asking the servers to check where it is). Apart from that little service blip, we would go back.

As a returning customer, I was really let down by my experience. Admittedly, we came into Little Italy during the last hour of serving food. We asked if they were still serving dinner, which we were told yes, and we were initially greeted warmly by the worker who seated us. But then our server completely rushed us through the ordering process, making no effort to accommodate for us, and made us feel like burdens in the restaurant. We ordered the Pollo Piccante pasta and felt completely overcharged. The sauce was flavourless, and not spicy at all, and the chicken was really weird- the texture and taste indicated that it was clearly pre-packaged and thrown quickly into a pan. After reading other reviews, it seems other people have noticed this about the chicken too. Shocking value for £14. Upset by my experience and particularly the service at a local restaurant that I have enjoyed in the past

Popped in for late lunch/early supper, seated straight away in the most cramped seating ever. Service was not great, pizza certainly not freshly made base. Overpriced for what is was, so many other Italian restraunts in the vicinity better seating and standard of food.

As a frequent diner here I can say that the food is very good and usually, I receive good service. I would note though that it is a very small restaurant so is often loud and quite cramped. My latest visit was the first time that I had not booked a table prior. I waited for 30 minutes then got seated which was perfectly fine. Our meal was lovely until it came to sorting the bill. We were planning on using Apple Pay but then one of our phones Apple Pay broke, we were in the middle of trying to fix it when the waitress came and stood at the end of our table with the card machine in hand. We asked if there was a WiFi password to try to get the pay working which was left unanswered. Then a fellow waitress came up and told us we had to hurry up, I followed with “sorry is this table reserved soon” to which she replied “no we have walk-ins waiting”. I would have understood this if we were sitting talking but we were trying to sort payment which she knew we were doing. This is the height of bad manners when it comes to dining. I’m extremely disappointed as I would guess that if I wasn’t in my late teens and looked like an older adult then I would never have received this treatment. My money is the same as adults money and my respect and manners are the same, if not better than most adults. Therefore I should receive the same respect back. Some people just think that teens are just up to no good and that they can treat them however they please.

This is definitely our go to for a wee night out with the kids. Drinks a little pricey. £7.25 for a small glass of ok wine makes me a little uneasy. But all in all a good meal.

Delicious food and drink. Service was top notch! I shared Garlic & Chilli prawns with focaccia, N'duja meatballs with focaccia starters. Both were very tasty and generous portions. I then had the Chef Special pasta with pesto, tomato and salciccio (sausage) which was amazing! We shared warm apple crumble pie with ice-cream which was yummy. Wine was lovely and water provided without having to ask. All in all it was the best food and dining experience we've had in a long time! Staff were friendly and attentive. Atmosphere lovely and relaxed. Will definitely be back!

Having read a couple of recent negative reviews we were hesitant to keep our booking but boy are we glad we did! Service was exceptional and nothing was a bother, very friendly staff. Food, well... It was just outstanding! Between 4 of us we shared our starters which were all delicious, wine was lovely too (and a really big bottle!) We were given water for the table without even asking which is rare these days. Main courses were just as delicious as the starters if not more so. I had the chef special pasta with pesto, salciccio and sun-dried tomato which is the best pasta dish I've ever had. Everyone else cleaned their plates too. We weren't rushed at all which was especially appreciated for a Sat night. We then shared a homemade hot apple crumble pie with ice cream and it was also yummy! Between 4 of us sharing 5 starters, 4 mains, 1 desert, 3 bottles of wine and an Aperol Spritz our bill only came to £191 which I thought was good. We left a generous tip and thanked the staff for a wonderful evening. We will definitely be back and recommend! Thank you Little Italy!

Food was excellent as always and the staff are lovely. My only complaint is with the kids drawing mat/chefs hat. It only comes with the kids pizza and while it’s not a massive deal it seems a bit mean that one kid got one and the other didn’t cause he had the pasta. He was so upset and although we did ask if he could have one he wasn’t allowed which I found a bit weird as every other restaurant I’ve been to pretty much ever has stuff like drawing mats to keep kids entertained, regardless of what they order from the kids menu. We did get a piece of paper for him to doodle on but still not the point. Especially when the bill was nearly £100.

Ask for a specific table and see what happens- we arrived and the upstairs was empty so we selected a table- guy arrived and the first thing he said was “i will have to move you as someone is arriving in 1 hour’ . What was interesting is that a previous time we came in - we dared to select a table after being told where to sit and obviously this irked the guy. Why is it only in glasgow you are told by waiting staff where you are “allowed” to sit. Go on choose a table in here and see what happens…..

While the restaurant can be busy sometimes, we went for an early lunch this day and managed to get a table almost anywhere. We chose the breakfast tables by the window since it was a bright day. Atmosphere wise, Little Italy often has a typical Glasgow Westend feel, but as it was early, it was quiet, except on the streets. We ordered Stuffed mushrooms, Minestrone soup, Flatbread with rosemary, garlic, olive oil, Caprese , coffess and a Tiramisu. I come here regularly with friends and the food can be a bit hit and miss sometimes. The Stuffed mushrooms were so aromatic and flavoursome, the flatbread were fresh and lovely moist with olive oil. Everything was very good except for Tiramisu, which I thought was really, really thick and heavy.

First visit and definitely will return. Atmosphere and staff great and delicious food and choices. The festive lunch menu 2 course was £25 each or you could do 3 courses but we had no room as big portions. My husband had a Christmas dinner which he said was lovely and I had the pasta. I would advise booking as very busy . We also loved the shop at front where you could buy the food and eat at home.

Quite simply a lovely little Italian restaurant near George Sauare. Excellent food and good service. Generous portions.

I was in for a Christmas dinner night and was really astonished and the lack of quality in terms of food. We were offered the Christmas menu of which I ordered mussels which were tiny..my main course of beef was full of fat and accompanied by 2bits of carrots and 4 tiny sprouts which were frozen not fresh ..the best thing on the night for me was the black coffee..and to top it off I ordered a Bailey's which was given to me without ice.. needless to say we won't be back
