My wife and I visited the restaurant on a busy Friday night. It's bigger than I expected and the staff worked really well. Food, delicious. Service, excellent. We will definitely be back. Didn't take pics of the food, just ate it.

Bring a torch to read the menu the place is too dark. The cost of a soft drink is expensive, (I complained). The food was OK, the staff were very good. I live across the road and I won't be back

This place was beautiful inside. Didn't eat the food. I just went for a latte n a minute just passing thru to be fair. Whilst the bar person was gracious . The manager was rude, pompous 1and clearly judge if ur don't look ur best. Don't go. If u need to charge ur phone don't go.

A wonderful restaurant on my doorstep. The staff are so friendly and jovile while keeping it professional the surroundings are beautiful with roses everywhere the food exceptional, I enjoyed the fillet Steak Highlander a luxurious cut of Scottish beef with Haggis & blackpudding in a silky peppercorn sauce. 10/10 A wonderful meal with the family.

Front house female very unfriendly, not a nice welcome to the restaurant. Other staff apologising for her rude attitude. And not for the first time as she is always like that. La Vita should replace her with someone who actually likes the job!

Everything I've ever eaten in here was delicious and the place is gorgeous inside.

Lovely looking restaurant, and very friendly staff. Service was extremely slow, and we had to ask for drinks, and also had to ask to see dessert menu after 15 mins of our dinner plates being cleared. Will certainly go back, and just hope the service picks up, as otherwise very nice.

First time visiting La Vita and my partner and I had a great meal (17.8.24 at 1pm). Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent too. All staff in the restaurant were very accommodating and helpful. Everything we ordered was extremely fresh and tasty. Best Italian we have visited recently. We will be back very soon! Thank you again for a brilliant lunch!

Celebrated a family event at La Vita and it was lovely, staff were helpful with getting us a good place to sit with our son and his large wheelchair. The food was lovely and we didn’t wait long to be served and fed. Definitely worth a visit and we’ll definitely return.

Food was delicious, customer service was amazing. Lovely staff, so anttentive. Owner(I think) gave our little boy a balloon and a teddy, such a lovely evening, definitely be returning.

Good food well presented by friendly staff

First time visitors yesterday and I was wowed. It looks quite random from outside, tucked in beside a co-op and a chemist but when you go in the decor is lovely. Food was very good, lunch menu great value. I had The Milano which is tapas portion of lasagne, chips and garlic bread. A feast! My auntie had the sausage supper and has raved about it ever since. As others have mentioned the tables are just a bit too close together for comfort but other than that, it was lovely and we would return.

We have been several times ( breakfast and lunch) for family meet ups, the food is excellent, plenty of choice and the staff are friendly, also next door the La Vita bakery at Barrachnie with freshly baked Italian bread & cakes is a must visit!

Birthday dinner visit , wait at reception no one acknowledged us eventually surly server takes us to table , right at the kitchen shocking noise of the machine spitting out cutlery constantly . Waiter comes to take our order but isn’t really paying attention too busy watching the table next to us leaving tip / bill leaves us mid order to grab it . Food completely tasteless . Service in McDonald’s is better overpriced overrated spend you money elsewhere . Won’t return

Booked a table of 5 for my Fathers birthday. Good service, good food and good value for what we had. I didn't mention what the booking was for but the staff must have seen the birthday card on the table and came over with a dessert and sang happy birthday to him which was a nice touch.

The food was tremendous. Second time to this establishment and I can't recommend the food enough. Only downside is seem to always be sat at a table beside the kitchen lol with it being so busy would be nice to be asked if seat was ok. But all in all the food and staff are incredible. Been a third time with all the family this evening and it was amazing..

Majority of our food was delicious. One of our party had the macaroni cheese which was too much pasta and not enough sauce hence the reason I didn’t give 5 stars. Service was good, not great. Waited ages to be offered tea/coffee/ desserts and again there was a lengthy wait for the bill. Atmosphere is amazing. Beautiful restaurant and hope to be back again.

Love this place, however my last visit wasn't nice. I had ordered spaghetti bolognese expecting it to in a red sauce but it came out & it looked dark brown. There wasn't any tomato taste to it and it was very oily. Didn't eat it but I was offered something different but it put my off. I for my pudding for free though. Haven't had any issues before and will go back and try again.

Disappointing Fathers Day meal Jun 2024 • Family We have been to La Vita Barrachnie on a few occasions and our adult children had booked to come for Fathers Day breakfast/brunch (today 16/06/24) On the booking form they stated 5 adults and requested 3 high chairs. On entering there was no baby chairs and when asked the female seems noticeably annoyed that she had to get them. Our experience went down hill from there. We were booked for 11.30 and yes we arrived 5/10 minutes late, arriving separately. We were told to order our meals quickly as the menu changed at 12, which we did. Our drinks arrived and we awaited our meals. Nearly 1 hour later, after asking, given apologies and offered a round of drinks, two meals arrived. What was supposed to be poached eggs were rock hard for the eggs Benedict and eggs royal and the bread they were on was soggy and chewy. My omelette came and was okay but the mini roast potatoes tasted like chips that had been lying all day, cool & soggy. The two other meals and pancakes for the children came and was very nice. We were apologised to quite a few times for our wait but all in all we all left very disappointed given it was supposed to be a special meal for Fathers day. The waiter, tall man black hair and glasses did say there had been a problem in the kitchen which caused the backlog but this does not explain the poor quality of their food. I am sorry to be leaving this review as I do love a La Vita meal but believe me we weren't the only ones who complained, some were extremely vocal. Hopefully on our next visit this will not be our experience.

This was our first time Visiting this La vita in Barrachnie. First thought was how big and beautiful it was inside compared to La Vita in Bishopbriggs and In Glasgow. We were in a big family group. All ate 3 courses food was outstanding, hadn't been for amd Italian for a while. We all got different starters and Mains and there was no complaints about any of the food from my family. Staff are really polite, service was fast. I was going to take 1 star away for the lady who was serving us, she was forgetting to cover her mouth while yawning whilst taking our order. We asked her if she was tired, making a joke of it. 😂 She was a little slow clearing unused cutlery and glasses away. That the kids weren't using, she cleared them before we got our desserts. Not a biggy she might of been really tired and having a off day. Didn't put me off. We will definitely go back here. Kids loved the beautiful bathrooms and the neon light wall. 👍

A wonderful restaurant that I'm delighted to have discovered. This was for a special birthday dinner, and the service couldn't have been better. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was excellent and I'm keen to return to try the rest of the menu!

A pleasure as always! We visit La Vita Barrachnie as often as we can, it's our favourite place. Always a lovely meal, staff are so friendly and nothings too much trouble, cocktails are wonderful, just the whole experience is great! They even gave us glasses of prosseco for our anniversary last night which was so lovely. Thank you again guys, see you next time.

Going by other reviews chances are got them on a bad day, served by 5 different people, waited over 20 minutes just to get the bill never mind the rest of it. Lasagna very dry with no sauce at all and so hot from being reheated in the microwave it took 15 minutes before you could put it near your mouth it was molten hot. Rest of the food was OK, but no where near a fresh Italian. Set expectations at cheap family friendly pub quality levels, as for service I normally leave a standard 20-30% tip, today was the first time I have ever decided no tip was necessary. Shame as last few visits were great, especially when it first opened but honestly nothing special now. Alright for a bite to eat but don't ruin a special occasion expecting much from here, if your in the area nip across the road to he east end fox or looking for a good decent Italian there's plenty in the city centre.

Service was amazing as always and the food again amazing as always, the lobster ravioli was just a pleasure to eat !

I recently enjoyed drinking cocktails at La Vita. There are plenty of cocktails/drinks to choose from, and there is an outside seating area to enjoy the sunshine when the weather allows. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is nice too. And the staff are friendly and attentive. I have enjoyed food in La Vita previously too, and have always had a good experience.

Great food and amazing service. It was my little girls 1st birthday and she loved all the attention from the staff. They sang happy birthday and gave her a little teddy.

Food tasted good, prices reasonable, although the ham in the carbonara was mostly fat so had to eat around it, tables could be doing with being spaced apart more, felt like I was with the people sitting in the next table.

Food was amazing the staff were all so Lovley, friendly and attentive . I had my two kids with me and staff were brilliant with them. Will definitely be back

Very nice restaurant inside and beautiful decor Staff really well manared and always asking and making sure everything is OK with the food so great place to go to for a meal and real chippy chips which is a great bonus this is a must to visit if your looking for a great meal and lovely surroundings to enjoy my experience was great couldn't fault anything was great from start to finish

Love this place. Been here for dinner, breakfast and had a takeaway meal before. The decor is beautiful, the food is amazing, the staff are lovely and attentive. Good prices and selection of food. I’ve had Eggs Benedict, my friend had Eggs Royale. Beautiful. Dinner we had the lobster ravioli. Hot chilli gamberetti for starter, the bruschetta con formaggio and mixed pane olives. Cocktails are nice!

First time visiting and won't be the last. Popped in for some lunch and wasn't disappointed. Restaurant itself is tastefully decorated throughout. We opted for 2 course lunch for £11.95 which represented excellent value for money. Not long to wait, and service was quick. Felt where we were seated was a bit crowded, very close to other tables, and felt I had to breathe in every time someone wanted to pass. The kitchen is open plan, which staff should be mindful of when shouting at members of their team for all to hear.

My daughter went to La Vita last week. The food was amazing as always and they have a good option for Gluten Free as I am Coeliac. I want to say the service was fantastic from start to finish. Our server was Kerry and she could not do enough for us. So lovely and helpful and had amazing energy. She was really lovely. We have a lovely experience.

Excellent dinner, lovely staff, atmosphere and food. Pasta was exceptional, didn’t feel bloated afterwards, I had the carbonara. Chilli prawns were beautiful too, it was a nice combo with the chippy-esq batter. Lastly the mozzarella frittatas were delicious. No dessert as we were so full, but did see some stunning ice cream sundaes go past when we were there. Will be back for sure.

Hello everyone, Just a short Email to once again express my gratitude and thanks especially to ALL the staff at "La Vita" Barrachnie , especially ti "Stafana" and "Giovanni" for their service to me and my family on our recent visit ( Mon 08th April 2024 ) to celebrate my daughter in law "Lauren" birthday. Absolutely first class food as always. But also important to remember the unseen hero's , the chefs! We have been regular visitors to "La Vita" for many years , mainly "George Square" and also the stunning restaurant in "Barrachnie" and never once had a poor meal. Thank you chefs ! But the staff are always very welcoming.. provided my 5 grand daughters with "La Vita" Teddy bears !!! Which they Absolutely loved. One of the best restaurants I’ve tired food and place is gorgeous

Lovely restaurant inside, decorated fabulously although can feel a little dark at lunchtime. The lunch and dinner menu are both great and would recommend a lot of the dishes but not so great for breakfast, the sauce for the eggs benedict is terrible and the pancakes are dry rather than light and fluffy. The fried breakfast is just standard fare and you can probably get better elsewhere for a lot less money. Stick to lunch or dinner and enjoy the food and the service.
