Sano Pizza in Glasgow City

The pizza was extremely soggy on the base. Extremely disappointed as the toppings were falling off when picking up pizza. Also not to mention we had such a long wait time for our pizza and one of the orders was wrong. Additionally, would’ve at least been okay if the staff were approachable but all of them had a negative unapproachable demeanour. Would not recommend. NEVER TRY THE PARMA HAM UNLESS U WANT A HEART ATTACK XOXO

This was, without a doubt, the best vegan pizza I’ve ever had! I attended my best friend’s graduation dinner here with her friends, and we were a group of about 15–20 people. The food was fantastic, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their pizzas. I ordered the Vegan Pizza 1, which featured an artichoke base topped with mushrooms, sun-dried tomatoes, and basil—it was absolutely delicious! I also tried the focaccia, which was the size of a standard pizza but surprisingly light and not as thick or spongy as I’d expected. The staff were incredibly friendly, the service was impressively quick, and the drinks were great. Overall, we had an amazing dining experience!

Ordered on Deliveroo. Received one pizza instead of the two ordered. The one pizza we received - freezing cold, and not even cut (there was an attempt to cut it but they managed to get through a small part of the crust). I Called and was told ‘there’s not another on here. It could be the driver has taken it or we’ve just not made it’. Then told ‘nothing we can do’. Appreciate it was ordered via a third party platform but, customer service and customer experience regardless should be considered as having an impact on the brand. Complete disregard from who I spoke to on the phone and extremely unhelpful. For the price you’re paying too, it’s really not worth it. Can get just as good pizza from the supermarket.

The kinder bueno milkshake was very tasty. The pizza was well cooked and had great flavours. Would definitely recommend.

This is great pizza place. We now buy our ready-made pizzas from here and put them in the freezer, why would you go to the supermarket. You can also buy pizza making kits too, and be creative.

Lovely bright and airy restaurant with a good selection of pizzas. Not the usual "run of the mill" stuff - interesting options. Good for vegan options too.

I've been to sano twice this week as the first time was amazing! Both the pizza and the service was so good. One problem i experienced on both occasions was that the bottom of the pizzas were a litte burnt other than that twas amazing!

Honestly the worst dining experience. I had left over pizzas on my plate and I wanted to take away. The waitress came and started putting all the used paper napkins on my plate even though the unfinished pizza is still on the plate. My friend and I were confused with the action of the waitress. So we told her again we are taking away the pizza because we thought she might have misheard it as the background was quite noisy. Instead, she said to us "Am I not able to do that" and went on putting all the used napkins on the plate with the pizza. She then walked away and packed the pizza in a box and gave it to us I went up to the manager and told her that this is unacceptable. First of all I am concerned with the hygiene in this dinning place. Why would you put all the used napkin along with food that is not finished on the same plate? Secondly, the waitress did not apologise for her rude behaviour I left without taking the pizza as I do not know if the pizza is clean and edible

Great Neapolitan pizzas and friendly staff

Nice pizza quite close to the Neapolitan original. Even if they serve pizza with Nutella ;-) The staff wasn’t motivated at all.

An oasis on Argyle Street with wonderful service. Lovely atmosphere and our waitress Audrey was an angel, will definitely be coming back 😻🍕🍨

They were so busy, but they gave us a 30 min slot. We ordered, pizza came in 10 mins and it was amazing! Highly recommend the Diavola. The strawberry homemade lemonade was also great!

There are several better options for Neapolitan pizza in Glasgow. Neapolitan pizza is never bad, but these weren't great. Also our booking was at 17:30, arrived at 17:22 and was told "oh you are early" as if it was a problem (the place was maybe half full?) and I was seated in a walkway and was asked to move a number of times, even when I was actually pressed up against the table and mid-bite. The large group seated behind me weren't asked to move. Weird vibe, average pizza.

Delightful staff, nice vibes and good food. Visited with a friend for a post graduation celebratory meal. My pizza was delicious although a tiny bit underdone/floppy, which made it harder to eat. Would visit again!

Tasty napolitan style pizza, really-really great Jocker IPA and delicious desserts + attentive, kind staff. I really liked the restaurant's design, loved the wood decorated high ceiling, big open windows that let the breeze in on this perfect warm and sunny day in beautiful Glasgow.

Always grab pizza here before a gig at SWG3. Staff are brilliant and look after you well ~ solid knowledge and advice if needed. Food is excellent and something to look forward to.

Definitely one of the best pizzarias in Scotland! The service was great and so was the pizza we ordered. Definitely recommended when visiting Glasgow!

Staff were good. Nice and polite Starter was good red yellow tomato/rocket. We did require balsamic vinegar to go over the starter, staff got that for us no bother. We had that within a minutes wait. Pizza was as I asked well fired Very tasty. Loved it We had ice cream afterwards with sauce and a flake that was great aswell. Really enjoyed the experience and will come back for another pizza Vegetarian option available aswell that's good to see Thanks for the really nice food 🍕)

Friendly and vibrant pizza restaurant. Well stocked with a proper drinks menu. Had a wonderful walk-in experience. Fast, efficient and friendly service, great food.

Unfortunately we cannot agree with the reviews that have been written. Maybe we were just unlucky. The ambience is great. Service nice. Eat (...) Neither of our pizzas were good. Neither in taste nor in consistency. Pizza too soft. Toppings didn't taste like anything. Aperol Spritz too watery. When asked, the response was only a shrug of the shoulders. Price-performance ratio: bad!

Went midweek for a pizza and really enjoyed it. Pizzas were proper Italian pizzas and didn’t disappoint. Service was good. Slightly lacking in atmosphere due to lack of patrons but it was a Tuesday night so I won’t hold that against them. Will definitely go back

Staff were brilliant, very accommodating and calm despite the chaos of having 20 children rampaging around! The pizzas came quickly and were delicious. The space worked really well for our large group. Overall it was a great experience - thank you to Shona for making it a great evening!

Extremely disappointed I have been going to this cafe for a year and I am very disappointed by the manager or waiter named Benjamin he refused to serve us food and told us to leave considering the fact I shook his hand when entering saying thank you when ordering when asked why he simply said he said bye bye to me the level of immaturity is unmatched I have never seen Sanos standard like this. I would request the owner to look into this as my family and I have been regular customers here at west end

This is our favourite Neopolitan pizza restaurant in Glasgow. Great selection of food and drinks, pizza always cooked to perfection, and the staff always friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!

Decent pizza. Shambolic service. Not the most competitive prices.

Came for dinner and had really nice meals. Both pizzas were absolutely delicious and the tiramisu was great too! Strawberry lemonade is really nice and the place had a really nice ambience. Very busy tho even on a Monday night and tabled very close together so recommend reserving a table. Staff friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back.

Just recently discovered this pizza restaurant and it is fabulous. I am kicking myself for not finding it sooner. I have been twice in the last week. The staff are friendly and very attentive and most importantly the pizza is terrific!

First things first. Your staff are amazing!! So friendly, accommodating and just all round fab!! Pizza, wow! Still thinking about it. My friend had the vegan cheese and said she really enjoyed it! Your home made lemonade was apparently great too. My Aperol Spritz was mixed to perfection. Will be back!!

The pizzas are delicious, it is not cheap but being in Scotland it is not excessively expensive. The guys are lovely and very helpful.

Absolutely fantastic place with delicious neapolitan pizza! Place so good I ate there two days in a row during my 3-day trip to Glasgow. Not crowded, staff was always welcoming and helpful. And of course pizza - top notch! Their affogato is also marvelous! I will be back next time!

During my recent visit to the restaurant, I experienced appalling service that completely overshadowed the evening. The staff were inattentive and rude, leaving us waiting for extended periods without so much as an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was a major letdown: the dishes were bland, poorly prepared, and lacked the freshness one would expect from even a mediocre establishment. Overall, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience that I would not recommend to anyone.

Lovely food and great atmosphere. Pizzas were delicious and good range of drinks. Also had gluten free options to suit those that required. Really enjoyed our meal here and would come again

I went there for a late lunch ! I got a lunch express with a side salad and a Margherita pizza ! Food arrived quickly and warm ! It was super good ! Friendly staff !

This is a fantastic restaurant. A really warm atmosphere with delicious pizzas all very sensibly priced. Modern clean layout and excellent service. Such friendly staff. Would definitely recommend !

We ordered two pizza and only one was delivered, and it was not even one of the two pizzas we had ordered. This is unprofessional and unacceptable. Very disappointing.

Really nice place, staff lovely, really good food! Pizza is amazing! We also had dips, I had garlic and my partner had blue cheese. They were delicious! The Garlic dip is amazing! Extremely garlicky which is always what I'm looking for! So tasty! Loved it! £10 for a starter and a pizza - amazing value for money with the lunch deal!

First, the positives: Pizza was pretty decent. Place was bright and decor had some nice touches. Tad busy when we arrived (evening rush - totally to be expected) but even after it quietened down, the atmosphere - both the restaurant layout and staffs hurried behaviour - did give me the feeling that we were all being processed through some Italian themed industrial dinner hall factory. Main Gripe? (Certain) rude, dismissive bizarrely deceitful behaviour of certain staff members... ...Swapped out a topping from a pizza on the menu, when making an order, for a (cheaper) alt topping and told it would be no problem and would incur no extra charge, only to then inevitably charged for the changed topping an an extra topping by accident. Cut a long story short, when I politely chased this up with a certain young waitress they were frankly a little rude and dismissive, and claimed that it was restaurant policy that any changed toppings would charged as extra toppings. Luckily when yet another waitress came to collect our bill the matter was corrected. When I gently inquired whether Sanos had a policy on pizza where changed toppings would be charged as extra toppings, that waitress gave me a raised eyebrow and asked me why that would be the case. We were refunded our money over the topping and given an apology for the misunderstanding. It really was only a pizza topping, no big deal there, but I feel the principle of the issue is still worth raising: the attitude of the staff member in question was poor and the bizarre fib left a bit of a sour taste in our mouth's I'm afraid.

We had a lovely lunch at Sano before going to the movies. The staff were friendly and efficient, and best of all, very welcoming to our chatty 2 year old. We will be back.

I can’t understand who would serve a bruschetta with unseasoned tomatoes & DRIED HERBS. No sign of fresh basil… I don’t know who would sign off on that but it makes it comfortably the worst bruschetta I’ve ever had. (I was starving so swallowed it anyway) Diavola pizza was fine, whish I’d had time to buy a Tesco finest pizza to cook at home instead.

Pizza and staff lovely. My issue is charging £6 for a sundae which is just ice cream in a sundae glass topped with a tasteless sauce and no further ingredients. Definitely not the definition of a sundae and would advise anyone against wasting their money getting one. Thankfully the sundae was deducted from the bill but to even offer it in the first place is shameless.

Decent enough selection of pizza and toppings. Sides ok. Peroni red as default beer. Pretty expensive though, £14 odd quid for a pizza. Service helpful and friendly.

I was keytimes best customer... So I know a thing or two about pizza... Having lived in Italy etc and family italian.. Passeano is 10out of 10 This place with gain luca is11/10 better pizza. Atmosphere easier to park.... And the biggie one can talk and listen. Great owner and their tends to be a family member always there.. Paul's places.. Not same level of attention.. No need way too busy... This place in now #1... I miss a good Blackberry.. Tony.. & Phil. Xx

Great pizzas. Loads of garlic in the dip. Had a very nice side salad too. Especially liked the orchard pig cider.

Nice place for some authentic pizza and great options. Overall very pleased and the pizza was fantastic. The staff are friendly and willing to help, the restaurant itself is clean and has a nice atmosphere. Booking online is easy too and if it isn’t busy you can just walk in

Pizza’s are fantastic. Amazingly cooked with great ingredients. Definitely one of the best pizza’s in Glasgow and we have recommended to others. Service was initially quick but incorrect food was delivered and staff seemed to be missing when we wanted to point it out and order more drinks. Also slow to bring the bill.

First time trying Sano’s and I’m sorry to say I won’t be back. Nearly £17 for a takeaway pizza which was a horrible soggy mess, the bulk of which ended up in the bin. Very disappointing.

On our short trip to Glasgow, our friend took us there for lunch. What an amazing place. Great atmosphere, great service, great food and drink. Not rushed to leave as it started to get busy, we were there all afternoon.

Brilliant pizza, so much choice for vegans and gluten free. Fantastic service and a great buzz. Back time and time.
