Friday was my first time ordering takeaway food from this restaurant. The food was excellent, thoroughly enjoyed my birthday meal, will certainly be ordering from here again, highly recommended.

I have been a returning customer of Dhaka Delhi for what must be well over 5 years by now. I could write at length about the incredible food and service but my experience is far more personal. This is the takeaway that solidly fixed my taste on this Bangladeshi style of curry - but the greatest irony? No matter where I go? There is absolutely no competition for the quality (and value!) that I've come to expect from this humble Ruddington outlet. My routine selection is the achari gosht, a hearty lamb dish served with chillied mangos, and where they don't hold back with the tang of the citric ingredients, the savoury of the meat is all the more round, full and vibrant in flavour. It is an absolutely exquisite meal, easily my favourite dish and this is the restaurant where I learned a passion for it. I have never ate it anywhere else that comes close to the one served here! Every time I return to Nottingham, I make a point to return to Dhaka Delhi just for this dish. Besides the achari is also the Dhamaka Murug, a dish they will serve to an intense spice that, for my money, is more heat and far more flavour than you'd find from your typical high street Jalfrezi. There are so many fabulous dishes among the chef specialties, even their naan carries a distinctive aroma and body that I just don't see in other takeaways. I can't talk them up enough; get out of your comfort zone, try something new, get some spice in you, you won't be disappointed!

I recently moved to Ruddington and have enjoyed 3 meals in this restaurant, all equally enjoyable, and the ability to bring your own wine is really nice

The food was ok. The experience was awful the staff are rude.. there is one particular person that is very forceful and they struggled with a larger group and different orders alot of orders were wrong and some dishes didn't even come out to the table. It's also not explained that popadoms and pickle trays were added to the bill despite not being asked how many we would like or weather we wanted them as some people didn't eat them as they got taken away from the table without concent also the staff member took it up on himself to add these to the bill despite him suggesting to add them to the table. At the end of the meal we got charged an extra £14 on the bill we payed it but later worked out we were charged for an extra curry we didn't receive nor order! Later walking by the resterrant one of the staff members were speaking to a member of the public about how we were nightmare customers. I assure you we were polite considering how poor the service was. Definitely need a change over of staff! Also if you are disabled and require a wheel chair bare in mind the staff won't help you when entering the premisses it was a struggle and the staff just stood and watched! Definitely wouldn't recommend here!

Did somebody write their food was fatty? well fat is good and I loved my fatty saag paneer. best preparation of this dish I've ever had.

Well, where do I start. Cannot take your own tonic water for gin . They charge you £2.50 for small bottles, and it is supposed to bring your own booze . My wife got told to remove her bottle tonic from window so people cannot see it from the street. Food my nan was undercooked and stoggy ,then I found a rubber band in my curry . Told the staff but no apologies from management. They just wanted to get us out the restaurant so I didn't kick off . I didn't pay for my half eaten curry . Not be returning.

Had the set meal for 4; quantity was good and the meat (chicken & lamb) was all well cooked & tender. Down side for me was that there was too much sweetness to flavours; the tikka masala seemed sweet & coconutty, and the peshwari nan too sugary to eat. Also all the food was too mild for me, I prefer more hot spices. We had intended to eat in but when we sat down the bright lighting and big open window made us all feel too much “on show” so we changed our minds and ordered the food as a takeaway. Also we hadn’t realised there is a no alcohol policy which I really don’t like! Staff all seemed very helpful and friendly.

Very nice quality meat but felt a little let down by the unexpected sweet taste of some dishes, lack of spicy heat too. Tables layed out nice and clean, but not so keen on the glass fronted window, personally I like a little more privacy, maybe some mirrored type glass so one can see out but not be so on view by passers-by. Lacking atmosphere too.

Lovely food reasonably priced and bring your own drinks in from pub next door.

Always a great place for a meal out. Staff are the best. Lucky to have such a good restaurant nearby. Long may it continue. D

Not visited for a while, but we took friends for their first visit. We weren't disappointed!! The menu was still as good as before with extensive choice and some specialities such as the Dhamaka Murug which was excellent! The staff as always were really helpful and friendly and the quality of the food was very good.

Just had a wonderful meal with superb staff who made the evening really enjoyable. The food was fresh, tasty with a good choice of dishes. The staff couldn’t do enough for us. We will be making this our regular Indian restaurant.

We travel from beyond Radcliffe on Trent to meet our friends here, they travel from Nuthall, so it’s sort of half way, but to be honest it’s the standard of food and great service that bring us back time after time. Very comprehensive selection for meat eaters and vegetarian alike. It’s a great find, easy to park and bring your own wine. Just fabulous

I am from Singapore and I eat great Indian food all the time. This is the best Indian meal I have had in at least 5 years. Service was great from the start and the food was outstanding. It was also amazingly priced. I would give this more stars if I could. Cannot recommend enough.

Sooo good! Ordered Tandoori Chicken Balti Aloo for myself and a Korma for my Mum and Grandma. Chicken was high quality breast meat, cooked beautifully, the Balti Aloo was packed with vegetables which where tender but with just a little crunch. The potatoes were all cooked through and gorgeous. The Korma’s were both just as good, both polished off with plenty of expressions of delight (and my family are hard to please). Delivery was prompt, everything just as we ordered, generous with extras such as poppadoms and chutney. We placed this order when we got home after my graduation ceremony. Wanted something that felt a little celebratory but we were all too exhausted to cook. We were a little nervous because hadn’t ordered from Dhaka Deli before, but the food was so addictive we can’t wait for an excuse to order again. Definitely recommend Dhaka Deli. Prices comparable with other takeaways but the quality and flavour here is over and above in our opinion. This is the first time I’ve felt enthusiastic enough to actually post a review but this place really deserves it!

First visit for us. Meal for four Saturday evening. Service was first class with helpful advice and information about the menu. The food was excellent, very impressed. Would certainly recommend.

Having been a regular customer this should already express my opinion on the quality and quantity of the food and the great attitiude the staff have(All extremely positive), especially the main man who deals with taking orders and customer service. But, the last two times i have ordered there has been a slight disrepancy in the order, todays being the the lamb bhuna came as chicken and even on the lid it said lamb. So, hopefully seeing this more care will be taken when cooking to get the customers order correct.

I’ve had a few takeaways from here recently trying to support local business, and this place is my favourite. Every single takeaway I have had has been amazing. Always comes on time, is hot and it’s always delicious. I told my parents to order from here a couple of weeks ago to, they were very impressed with it and will definitely be ordering again. Fingers crossed I can come for a ‘eat in’ meal soon. Keep up the good work guys! :-)

Absolutely disgusting food. Deceiving photos. I ordered thinking the food will be like they put on the website . The food was nothing like what they put on the website. It was awful and disgusting. Never ordering again.

Very disappointing. Ordered so much food and they gave us old vegetable rice which had obviously gone off. It was disgusting and I felt ill. Not worth wasting your money on it.

Whether dining in or having a takeaway this is the best Indian for miles around (and trust me, I've tried them all!). The food is excellent and the service very friendly with nothing being too much trouble.

Ate here as part of the Eat Out to Help Out scheme and as well as the food being excellent as always it's now incredible value, (it's good value anyway and has a bring you own drinks policy), so is highly recommended.

Normally get takeaways from The Bombay on Radcliffe road. Tried this on a friend's recommendation and is just as good but with the added bonus of more food (containers are brimming) for less money.

As part of my birthday present my son took me here with two other family members. Very welcoming staff, promptly sorted glasses, opened the bottles of various drinks and poured for us with out being prompted. Good menu selection. Really enjoyed my choice of starters and mains. Would visit again if I am over in that area.

Called in to order chicken tikka masala here,as we were in the area.The restaurant seemed lovely,and the staff friendly,but we were disappointed with the quality of the actual dish.The chicken was hard,and the sauce had no subsidence to it,just a runny puree.It is a shame, as that's one of our favourites.

I cannot rate this place highly enough. I have been coming here regularly for a few years and it has proven a fabulous addition to the village. I have brought friends and family of all ages and there is always a great selection even for the fussy ones. Staff are super friendly and helpful, particularly Mab and Raja - service is excellent even when they have a full restaurant and the phone ringing off the hook with take away orders. There are all the usual dishes plus some slightly more unusual ones... I love the fish Bhuna with limes. Because you are welcome to bring your own wine and beer you can eat and drink well extremely cheaply. Make sure you book at the weekends.

Oder from here very regular, food is always amazing staff are always polite. So many dishes on offer but I’m in love with the lamb madras and haven’t moved on to something else yet! Can’t wait to go to the Resturaunt in Ruddington!

Visited with some friends - really welcoming, the food was great, we had the set menu and were able to all choose our main courses which worked really well, vegetarian options were easily fitted in, great beer from the pub next door, the restaurant kindly returning the glasses for us, and the number 3 bus drops you off pretty much outside the door - excellent!

My favourite go to Indian takeaway! All staff are so polite and pleasant both on the phone and delivery. So accommodating and welcoming. The takeaway itself is brilliant quality and great value. I usually get the curry set meal for one and it feeds two adults and more.

Went for family meal. Food was ok. However felt like the restaurant was trying to rush us. My wife was rushed with popadoms and her main. Waiter very keen to get us finished. card machine not working so had to find nearest cash point

We have ordered several times from here on a takeaway option & the food is well cooked, fresh & tasty. Although last time, we had the wrong food delivered to us at first, this was swiftly rectified by the restaurant who also apologised. We won’t let that put us off & will order from here again.

Dhaka Delhi is a slightly strange Indian restaurant in the village of Ruddington in Nottinghamshire. I think it quite strange to find this restaurant in a village, although, having said that, the service and food are good, although not particularly inexpensive by London standards. The restaurant is not licensed, so taking your own is the order of the day. I think that the restaurant’s main trade is probably doing take-aways.

Mid week visit. Lovely service. Fantastic food. Fresh and tasty. Chef happy to tweak the menu to suit. First visit but won't be our last!! ☺

We visited the Dhaka Deli and I have to say it was very nice.

This is a great curry house that has got a real family feel. The food here is awesome and the staff are lovely, so welcoming and accommodating. The prices are very reasonable and the quality of the food is excellent. I only wish that they had an online ordering and payment system. That would make it a definite five star establishment!

A big fan of curry! Coming from a place where curry is part of the culture, this place has INCREDIDLE curry. Best I’ve ever tasted!

We go here every few months. The duck curry and the sizzler (can’t remember what they called) are the best curries around. 5/5 (I would say on par with Bombay nights wb). It’s also cheap because u can bring your own beer in. Unfortunately the atmosphere is not as good 3 spices around the corner.

Ordered a takeaway at 7.20pm for two people arrived an hour and a half later - stone cold and wrong order. Contacted the restaurant to let them know. They were apologetic - the remainder of the correct order then delivered but was of poor standard - chicken dish was like rubber.

Whilst on holiday in the UK from Adelaide, South Australia and staying with close friends in Ruddington we were having a drink in the Pub next to the Dhaka Delhi. The aroma from this restaurant was wafting into the Beer Garden and enticed us in for a meal. What a little Gem with a very extensive menu. We couldn't fault our food or the service. The food was absolutely delicious and the meat was so tender! We would highly recommend a visit. Being BYO is also a bonus as they actually allow you to bring your drink in from the Pub next door or you can pop into Sainburys for a bottle of Wine! When we visit again we will definately be back!

Popped in for a takeaway after a few drinks in Rudd and enjoyed the food that much we had a walk down over the weekend and had a meal. Really nice food, really accommodating when my partner wanted a certain dish but with more of a kick to it, great service and nice atmosphere. I think we will become regulars

This was our second visit and once again the food was really good. Service was excellent, staff were adaptable and answered all our questions. The food was presented well and in a timely fashion. Bring your own allows for adaptability and saves on the licensing.

First time here, it's byo which is good. Lovely food, couldn't fault anything. My egg fried rice was very tasty, as was everything else we ordered. Will definitely return & will recommend to friends.

Went to Dhaka Delhi for a impromptu meal. Really warm welcome and got a table straight away. The food is lovely with generous portions. Would definitely visit again. Finally, we left some personal belongings behind and surprised when some guy chases us down the street to return them. Good guys, good food, what more do you want ?

Best curry house in Rudington but you have to bring your own drink or pub next door will let you take it into the restaurant.

Called ahead and pre-booked. Seated okay, although there was a flap by the waiter as we had brough our umbrellas (closed) to the table, not left at the door, (shock, horror!).

I come here every other month pretty much with my friends. Great value for money and the staff make you feel very welcome and not rushed. I’ve never had a bad meal and last night our meals were delicious. The manager gives very detailed descriptions of all meals helping my friend and I choose and both were amazing!!!! Very generous portions and I can’t wait until our next visit!!!

Woeful experience. 45min wait with no one else there...waiter with no personality, took ages to get food, after we threatened to walk out, manager blamed delay on food inspector visit...no sh&t;! Tried to charge us for complimentary popadoms, ended up throwing a twenty at them and leaving. Not a patch on the Three Spices (same owner...!) never step foot in again.

Food and service were excellent. Felt a bit squashed in on a table of four but can't fault this place. You can take your own alcohol and that saves a lot of money. All the food that came out was plentiful, well spiced and fresh.

Ordered at 6pm food arrived at 7.45pm, called twice to chase and very poor customer service. No manager , no option of a refund. When ordered not told the wait would be so long, would have ordered elsewhere if known.

Placed an order online for delivery, was unable to use a valid voucher for no reason, when I called the restaurant the manager was incredibly rude and raised his voice, I asked to cancel my order as a result and my response was 'you can cancel if I want but your money has already gone through and I can't give refunds'. When the food finally arrived (it took an hour) it was barely warm and not very nice at all. I don't feel it's value for money at all for what you get and I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will definitely stay away from here in the future.

The food here arrives to your table well cooked and presented. The staff are exceptionally helpful and treat each customer courteously (even a group of rather intoxicated gentlemen at a nearby table). Another bonus is to being able to bring along your own alcoholic drinks. Altogether a welcome addition to Ruddington's eateries.

A lovely Indian restaurant south of Nottingham where food is beautifully cooked. Tastes fresh and individual - like care has been taken in preparing. Staff are friendly and always happy to help with individual food tastes. You have the option to take your own wine and beer which is a delight in making a night our affordable. We are well experienced in Indian cuisine having been to many Indian eateries over the years and to-date this is one of our favourite restaurants. The Manager and staff are happy to help bespoke your Indian meal and guide you to the speciality dishes and you are not charged the earth. A thoroughly enjoyable eating experience. I have no hesitation in recommending. An excellent standard eatery!
