Ash and his team catered a birthday lunch at our house in North Bucks - from start to finish we felt as if we were in a safe pair of hands. Food absolutely delicious - canapés and a buffet lunch. A very slick operation that I would thoroughly recommend. Thank you to Ash and his team.

I live right next to this place, so I was delighted when they first opened. Since then it has gone from bad to worse. Very poor tasting food.

We did Catering from Dhaba 49. They were excellent in all ways. They proffesional and curtious. They were even little flexible with Menu so as to meet our requirement. Food was very tasty as well. Will take their service in future

Brought a work colleague here for their first experience of Dhaba@49, and wasn’t disappointed! Service and food were both exemplary as ever. The team always make me feel welcome and service is attentive, friendly and thoughtful. And the food is exceptional - especially the range of vegetarian options and alcohol free cocktails. The only request for management is that they please stock some alcohol free beers as this does feel like a miss. But otherwise this place is an exceptional find!

Horrible and disgusting food. I ordered online chicken 65 and Bombay bhel and few items. The chicken 65 made of chicken breast strip coated with some crumbs no seasoning and garnished with few curry leaves with lemon wedges. Horrible taste not chicken 65 but definitely chicken strip with local shop and bhel is all of pomegranate no taste no sev no onions. Horrible. Waste of money and when called resturant to speak with wiener manager Derrick said if you want to eat eat otherwise don’t order. No apology. It shows that standard. Waste of money please do t order from this resturant

Sadly I cannot recommend this place. We got a takeaway. Personally I do not think this is authentic at all. The butter chicken tasted like tomato soup it was very odd and was a bright red colour. The chicken itself was not tasty at all in either the curry or the chicken tikka. The tikka lacked flavour. The spinach chaat was dry. The staff however are friendly.

Excellent Indian food in a city with lots of Indian choices. The service is excellent, but you go for the food! The atmosphere is lovely, but you go for the truly delicious food!

We have heard amazing things from this place, but this was one of the worst meals we have had. The butter chicken tasted like Heinz tomato soup, the rogan josh was incredibly bland with a liquorice (no idea how) after taste, the chicken tikka was dry with a metallic taste, the meat samosa was bland & the naan was very mushy.

Amazing! I’d been a few times before lockdown, and was hoping the place was still there. It was, and amazingly the food has gotten even better… The choice is great, especially if you’re a veggie or vegan. Quality of the food was outstanding, and service fast, attentive and friendly. Really can’t fault the place - if you’re after a stunningly good curry in West London, I’ve not found anywhere that comes close to this. If I could give it 6 stars I would do

We can't recommend the food at Dhaba 49 enough! Whenever we get cravings for authentic Delhi style cooking, we order from Dhaba 49. Our favourite dish has to be the Butter Chicken, which is the best we've tasted in London! We highly recommend the Amritsari Machi (Battered Fish) and Lamb Seekh Kebabs, in fact we love it all! . I would highly recommend this for both eating in or taking out, as the food is always consistent. The waiting staff are always friendly and helpful too. A great gem in Maida Vale!

we had lamb chops, pav bhaji and gol gappa for starters. gol gappas was not too bad however would be better if they had added yoghurt with it and tweaked the sauce with a hint of spice and tang. the mouth-watering pav bhaji was my favourite dish, tasted so delicious, wanted to order another but i had to leave some space in my stomach for the mains. had the butter chicken with garlic naan as the main and it was quite decent. overall the food did take quite a bit of time to come, luckily we were in no rush. hygiene on the other hand, please clean the tables and seating areas thoroughly before assigning us the seats, that’s all i ask.

Not sure what to expect from the drab-looking shop front. However, enjoyed a very interesting meal with North Indian specialities. The restaurant turned out to be rather special - uninspiring decor but exciting food choices. Difficult to know what to choose! Helpful and friendly staff made this a memorable evening out. The place was heaving with customers in a queue and a steady stream of drivers collecting their take-aways. You definitely need to book.

At the end of the meal, our friends unanimously agreed that we would come back again. The dishes were superb. The knowledgable staff walked us through the interesting menu, which I’d say is a combination in the best possible sense of the classics and the modern interpretations you would see at the likes of Dishoom. We also loved the decor of the restaurant, which retains the classic warmth of your local Indian but does away with the garish pink table-cloths of yesteryear. Kudos to the friendly staff who gave us some superb recommendations. I wish I had more photos but as soon as the dishes arrived, people dived straight in!

I had cauliflower for starters which was delicious and paneer for main which was fantastic. The restaurant is so nicely laid out with different settings from India and the art work is lovely. I just felt comfortable and enjoyed my experience at the restaurant.

We’ve been a few times and every time it’s fab. The menu has been cut a bit but the menu left is excellent. The black bean dhal is the best Dahl I’ve ever had. The lamb shank madras and butter chicken sublime. The little chaat bombs matched with the chicken dumplings, perfection. Go, you will not be disappointed. All 5 of us gave 10/10
