Now we understand why they are best of the city 🏙️ absolutely amazing place! Fabulous food, great atmosphere and service was amazing.the atmosphere was really good. We will definitely be returning Thank you the India best of the city !!

One of the best curry’s I’ve ever had I would definitely recommend the South Indian Garlic Chilli chicken and the vindaloo And definitely the mushroom rice 5 stars I would like to add the staff are very friendly and polite they provide excellent customer service!

Amazing, we were able to walk in for dinner for two at 5:30. We shared the Chef's Special - Nawabi Lamb Shank and the Chicken Tikka Masala. Sam and the staff were friendly and attentive, and the food blew us away. Would recommend as the best!

The food was amazing, the service was fast and friendly and was a very nice setting inside. Only suggestions, could have added a larger protein portion on the prawn dish is all. Other than that, had a wonderful meal.

Went here Saturday night after a long flight from Canada. The food was great, the service was excellent. The interior was remarkably cozy. They are on top of things here. Highly recommend the lamb shank; it was so hot, tender, and flavourful. I’ll be coming back!

The place is just out of time, in the neighborhood cellars. The storefront doesn't look much, but the service and Sony cuisine are top notch. Thanks to Sam for his recommendations, we ate more than well, from very little spicy to very spicy. Everything was excellent!

Sam was super helpful to decide the signature dishes. Even it was about to close Sam offered us a table. Being in other Indian restaurants in the city and the India was the best and Sam exceptional.

Everything is terrible, poor service until the customer runs out, very poor food, noisy and brothel-like place, I don't recommend it to anyone. Update: the place is dark and in the basement. I don't think there are any other analogies capable of describing it better. I congratulate you for the answer in line with what I found. Forcing the customer to give a positive review by taking the customer's phone, without leaving the possibility of choice, seems disrespectful to me at the very least. Of course, all this before presenting the bill. Your answer speaks for itself.

I was in the place last week. The service is really intrusive, I had to order basically what the guy who served me wanted. The environment is very bad and really very noisy and dark. I didn't like the food, I've definitely eaten in much better Indian restaurants. The worst thing is that before the bill they told us to put a 5 star review and the guy looked insistently at the phones. Immediately afterwards he went to check what we had written (I immediately deleted the review). They are really unprofessional and rude. I advise against it.

Our visit to The India - Best of the City in London was a real experience! A bit unusual at first, as the restaurant is in the basement, and the lady who showed us to the place unfortunately seemed unfriendly. But after this first impression, the evening got better from moment to moment. The table service was extremely friendly and engaging, and the menu offered an impressive variety of authentic dishes. The starter was fantastic and felt like we were transported straight to India. The main courses – from the tandoori to the chicken masala – were also great and absolutely authentic in taste. An evening that was really worth it and that I can absolutely recommend!

We recently visited “The India” and, unfortunately, the experience was quite disappointing. Despite the promising name, the food did not live up to expectations and was far from authentic Indian cuisine. The service was rushed, with the waiter hurrying us to order and showing little hospitality. The fish tikka was decent, but overall, there are better restaurants in London. Don’t be misled by the Google rating.

I had the set lunch as we were in a bit of a rush. Onion bhajis as the starter and Chicken jalfrezi as the main which were really nice. Great value for money.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The India- best of city and I can confidently say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and beautifully designed, creating a perfect backdrop for our meal. The service was impeccable; providing excellent recommendations that showcased the menu’s highlights. Speaking of the menu, the variety was impressive, offering a delightful mix of dishes that cater to every palate. The food was delicious and the service was great!

Amazing night out at the India best of the city in Cannon Street. I have visited the branch in monument and decided to try the Cannon Street location. This is truly the best place in the city of london. The India brand is amazing and the food and decor is truly something else. I tried the nawabi lamb shank and had the best time at cannon street. Our host Jay was amazing and gave us top service! 5***** all the way round

Wonderful hospitable staff, nice person called Sam. I had really good dish Salmon Tikka Main, also some Plain Poppadoms, very spicy sauces as well.

The taste of the spice is not too strong, so I think Koreans will be able to eat it without any objection! It's delicious and has a great atmosphere, so it's worth a visit if you come to London!

We arranged an early dinner. We were not greeted even though we had booked. A younger gentleman, not dressed in uniform He seemed to act as though he was above that., He delivered food with irritation and on payment. He rolled his eyes because my car briefly tapped in the wrong place. We were made to feel very unwelcome and the food with mediocre at best. I will not recommend this restaurant. Even though its location is very convenient and after business dinner

Great food in a slightly unusual environment of a vaulted cellar. Can highly recommend for quality of food, warm welcome and cosy atmosphere. Tandoori platter to share had some fine choices, for preference- torn between the fish tikka and one of the most succulent chicken tikka starters I’ve had. Lamb shank and Goa garlic lamb were both excellent. Service was prompt without being pushy. Overall a 5* experience

Beautiful food in the heart of the city. If you want a cosy hideaway that provides a great atmosphere then look no further you will not be disappointed. All the food was excellent, the staff were attentive but not intrusive and the location is fantastic. Note there is a slight language barrier we found but nothing that can’t be worked around. Would recommend for couples, friends or adult families.

Found the restaurant on Google Maps. Tried it on an off chance based on reviews and pictures. It did not disappoint. Incredible ambiance, fantastic service, and each of the dishes were amazing! A definite must.

Amazing place, this comes from a long time enjoyers of Indian cuisine. We have received outstanding service by Sam the manager, a charming young man who took great care of us, made us feel welcome and provided amazing care way beyond anything else. London’s most hidden Indian gem. Tucked away in what feels like a bomb shelter the restaurant quickly overcomes this with course after course of delicious food. The service was amazing.

Waiters are extremely pushy, and repeatedly ask you if you’re ready to order, the second you sit down. 5-6 swarm you. They clearly want you in and out asap. Submitting a review was also heavily pushed. Food average. Nice setting.

Really wanted indian food and chose this because of reviews, and was a bit disappointed at the food quality.. lamb was tough… another dish was not very tasty.. small pieces of bread.. over priced for small portions But good service, nice atmosphere
