This is best Indian in London. The service is great, the staff can’t do enough to help. The restaurant is always rammed but you never feel on top of other patrons. My waiter Ali was really friendly and the food came quickly. Every time I’m in London I always make a stop here no matter where I’m staying!!

From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was inviting and beautifully designed, creating a perfect backdrop for our meal. The service was impeccable; providing excellent recommendations that showcased the menu’s highlights. Speaking of the menu, the variety was impressive, offering a delightful mix of dishes that cater to every palate. The food was delicious and the service was great!

Perfect from start to finish. The food was incredible - authentic and flavoursome. Great to eat what you expect to eat, and then some. The set menu for two persons was excellent value and at the highest quality. The chicken madras was hot and dry. The paneer was cooked to perfection. Highlight was the starter platter and the chilli sauce! All very well done. The staff were attentive and kind, whilst the service was quick. All you can ask for really. The young guy Ali knew the menu well and recommended his personal choice for next time. I’ve eaten Indian food across the globe and haven’t found many better than this. Go book a table!!

I recently dined at this Indian restaurant, but unfortunately, it didn’t meet my expectations. While the food isn’t bad, it lacks authenticity. As someone well-versed in Indian cuisine, I found the flavors to be overly adapted, likely to suit a more general palate. The dishes I ordered lacked the bold, vibrant, and complex flavors that define true Indian food. If you’re looking for a more traditional experience, this might not be the best choice.

I had the Dim Gost recommended by the waiter (Ali) which was very good.

Good option for Indian food. Quite a few place settings in the cellar. I spontaneously walked past it during a work visit. Nice staff, especially Ali who helped me choose something tasty from the menu. I had a chef special with lamb Dum Gost. Nice and spicy, just right. Plus a good paratha, could have been a little flakier, but that's just finishing the i's. Portions are large.

Special experience in the cellar, nice Service

This is a tourist trap. I do not understand all of the positive reviews about this place. This was probably the worst Indian food I have ever eaten. It was also overpriced for the portions provided. I love paneer tikka masala and this is typically my go to at Indian restaurants. I was expecting the spicy sauciness but instead I received bland triangle slices of paneer with a few slices of onions. No sauce, just cheese. Entrees also did not come with rice. We ordered basmati rice and naan. The rice was dry and bland. The garlic naan was dry. The waiter talked our table into ordering the mixed kebab grill and the lamb dish. The latter was inedible and my son said it tasted of spoiled fish. We also ordered the cauliflower dish. Preparation was terrible with very little flavor. A waste of almost 150 pounds. Do not eat here, so disappointing.

I was just walking around looking for a good spot for dinner when I stumbled upon The India. The staff, especially Ali, were amazing and made me feel very welcome despite me not having made a reservation on what turned out to be a busy night. I had the King Prawn Suka to start, what a revelation of a dish, amazing depth of flavour and tender prawns. For my main I had the Nawabi Lamb Shank as it is their signature dish. I chose well, the lamb was delectable and nicely spiced, the garlic naan was an amazing accompaniment. If you’re on the fence, don’t be, you will not be disappointed! Say hi to Ali for me!
