We enjoyed the snacks we had here. Came in today only to find the place empty with a To let sign in the window. Not hint as to whether either the beer and cheese snack bar or the related microbrewery might be continuing in some form elsewhere.

Just had our first order delivered on uber eats . Really recommend the dutty fries and cluck burger. Don’t post on here much so that says how good the food was .

Wrote an introductory descriptive review of this place a fortnight ago but Tripadvisor seem disinclined to post it. Been back since and had a first rate ‘house blend’ hot sourdough sandwich for £5 which was good. Haven’t yet tried the Anchor House Brewery artisan ales - but will. All should now be more convenient being able eat and drink in after the move from Lockdown2 to Tier2.

New friendly cheese and artisan beer cafe/bar born out of an established mobile food and booze business has now taken over what was the tilt slider cafe. Currently (during the final days of Lockdown2) only serving takeaways and deliveries. There is a growing stock of speciality cheeses, a large fridge with cans of craft/artisan ales etc. Today there were a choice of three sourdough melts, a house blend of grilled cheese, a Cropwell Stilton with pear chutney and a Nduja Special with spicy pork and the house blend of cheese. There is an active FB site and a lot on IG. Food and booze including interesting selection are served/delivered in boxes. On our visit they didn’t have a full on price list etc to take away but the prices today were good value and the guy behind the counter could not have been more helpful. Food prep time currently about 5 minutes. We hope that the place catches on quickly, not just to eat in or grab and go but sufficient to extend the range of well kept quality and intriguing cheeses, providing somewhere local instead of having to trek out to Tavistock or Totnes in search of good stuff.

Great drinks and food in here, and you can check out the bikes at gts that they sell as well. Some of the staff could do with talking to the customers when being served.

Went for the Sunday carvery today. The atmosphere was very friendly. All the staff were great and we had a banter with the chef which was a nice change from someone just giving you food . The food was hot and tasty. We would Recommend anyone to try it . We Will definitely go again ! Tracey & Paul

I love the walrus. There's music, dancing, a sparkling ceiling and always a good time to be had. The staff are friendly and fun.
