A real gem in Calne. My partner and I visited for her birthday and we were very well looked after for the evening. The staff are lovely, pizza amazing, and interior cozy. 10/10 in all aspects. We are very excited about returning in the near future for more pizza and to check out their coffee and cake. Well worth a visit!

Been here several times, most recently for cocktails and bar snacks, but visited for pizza in the evening, panini at lunch, and had takeaway pizza as well. I’m never disappointed with the food and the manager is a lovely chatty person who always has a smile on his face. Such a nice treat to visit.

Lovely little cafe, which used to be in Cherhill but moved to Church Street. Cute, bohemian atmosphere, with a small menu but all the better for it as everything is prepared fresh. No ordered in, microwave food here! Much better coffee and tea than the chains and amazing cakes (also made by the owners). Serves alcohol too! The little details make this place, and apart from a slower pace (don’t come if you’re in a rush to get in and out) it’s a really lovely place to relax and eat.

Attended one of the Friday pizza nights last week and was very impressed! The pizza was so tasty, it was packed so the atmosphere was buzzing, and the staff were really friendly and great to chat to! They have started doing aperol spritz as well as wine now so we ended up staying until around 10:30 when our booking was at 8pm and weren’t nearly the last to leave! I would deffo recommend booking in advance because it gets full pretty quickly but worth a visit for sure!

I stopped here for breakfast today that turned into a bit of a family gathering. The breakfast menu had some good choices and when my food arrived it was nicely presented and tasted delicious. I followed it up with an almond croissant which was one of the nicest I've ever had. Service was friendly, tables were spaced a decent distance apart and it was a pleasant environment.

We received a friendly welcome at this lovely family run cafe. The coffee was great - my flat white was smooth and creamy with a good coffee hit. The menu was full of tasty choices, I would have been happy to try all of them. My partner enjoyed his salt beef bagel and my “divine” salad lived up to its name, honestly the best salad that I have had in a long time. The chocolate pear almond tart was tasty too! The staff were friendly and welcoming and there were a few locals visiting the cafe as it reopened after the new year break - always a good sign. The quaint French decor was interesting along with a lovely selection of antiques for sale. The owner was chatty and gave us some good local recommendations. We will return for future visits when we are back in the area. Thank you for a great lunch!

We've been fans of the Divine since their old location in Cherhill. The new location in Calne is absolutely lovely and the food is always A+++ but this review is in PRAISE of their takeaway pizzas. Excuse the pun, but they are genuinely Divine. Not gloopy and glutonous and bread-heavy – but a perfect sourdough base. We are a family of four and we chose four different pizzas – from the simple to more adventurous – and we were all delighted with our choices. Everything was fresh and high-end. The price is so fair for pizzas of this size and quality. I must also praise the safety protocols (as I write, here in the UK, all restaurants are currently closed and it is takeaway only). We intend to make this a regular takeaway treat during lockdown, and beyond.

Great teas and coffees. Wonderful American pancakes, the crushed avocado is lovely and the milkshakes are delicious if a little on the small side. It’s worth it for a little treat, though it’s quite expensive for what you get. I guess we shouldn’t expect good quality on the cheap!

I always order the tart what ever flavour it is, I ask for a blob of cream to go with it , then I eat it slow and steady enjoying every mouth full. When cherries were in season that tart was amazing. It isn't cheap, but worth it as an occasional treat. Then have a leisurely walk to the library.

I have been popping to Divine for a while now and always come away feeling relaxed, well nourished and better for my visit. The move to the 'On the Green' location a few years ago means more space and a serene atmosphere. Food and drinks are delicious and made to order. I am intolerant to wheat but can choose anything off the menu with adaptations where necessary. The quiche with the tang of Stilton, the sautéed potatoes flavoured with turmeric, the salad dressed with mustard oil - all together delicious, accompanied by a very good Viognier. We went in last night for a family meal. Pizza was mostly all they had on offer, so we went with pizza ... It was the first time I personally had been there and I found it to be a very cold atmosphere. Lots of candles everywhere but no heating. I heard a few others on the table opposite us saying the same thing as well. Anyway we waited for our meal listening to a keyboard player, which was all very nice. The pizza took approx an hour to come out to our table as it was a tad busy. My pizza topping and base was really cold ( as was my partners ) . Not good at all . We were going to complain but instead chose to write this review ( as complaining would of been fruitless) as they were very busy . We will not recommend this place and more importantly ( we shall not be returning. PS . The food was totally overpriced as well .

We've become attached to this place primarily for coffee and breakfasts but then we ate at one of their pizza and wine evenings. What has impressed me most, apart from the food, wine, coffee etc, which have always been first class, is the great customer recognition and service. It is so nice to be recognised on your second visit and to be asked if you want the same coffee you had last time. Admittedly I guess I may have made a name for myself by consistently ordering a second flat white, but it was good enough to warrant it! Great evening meal too. Since moving to the centre of town in Calne the Divine Cafe continues to provide wholesome home-cooked food at reasonable prices from what is admittedly a fairly restricted menu. Service is friendly, but don't expect to be in and out in five minutes as most dishes are cooked to order and are worth the wait. The coffee and cake is pretty good too! We used to attend here regularly and loved the place, the food is good and the staff are really pleasant meaning a good atmosphere all around. The issue we have is the menu is limited and has not changed, it is very small so during the winter months can be very hard to get a table, (which is also testament to how popular it is) it is hard also to keep up with when it is open as it is not open everyday or on times when Potentially just us would think it would be and we have been caught out a few times this way as have others it appears when we have driven by looking through the windows

What a lovely place which was at one point in its history a filling station, now its a much nicer filling station. Served with china cups real tea and in a matching tea pot a little bit of old school style charm and class which in our fast food approach is defiantly a breath of fresh air.The food being served looked brilliant and looking at the menu looks good value for money with the pubbing's and savoury mains cut in large man sized portions which looked very appetising and when we get chance we will be giving this a chance and we will partake in a suitably large portion of lunch.Plenty of out side and well shaded seating and is ideal for a stop over between Bristol and Swindon on the old A4 which is a good road and more relaxing than the manic M4. Having had this café recommended to me more than once I decided to take my grown-up daughter there for lunch. My first impression was that they had really filled the space with tables meaning that once you were seated it was very awkward if you needed to move at all. I had poached eggs on toast with smoked salmon and my daughter had mushrooms on toast with cheese. It was nice although mine would have benefitted from a little hollandaise sauce. I was disappointed that some of my toast was made with the crust from the loaf which made it hard to cut, chewy and dry. We had cakes for desert, my daughter had a roulade which she said was lovely but my brownie was nothing special and the heavy dusting of icing sugar on it didn't help it as much as a little cream or ice-cream would have done. I asked for an additional pot of tea to go with the cakes but it took so long to come, the cakes were almost finished before the tea arrives so we left without drinking most of it. I also must say that at £26 I felt the meal was pricey for the quality.

The kitchen staff seemed to be trying hard, though the service was very slow. But they were badly let down by an incompetent and stupid waiter - he is totally unsuited to the job. As the weather was good a friend an I decided we would go for a ride into the countryside. Having heard about the Devine Cafe I thought we could pay it a visit. On arriving at 1.15 we saw a sign stating kitchen closing at 2pm. Oh we thought this is unusual. On enquiring. We were told due to the popularity and number of orders they were not taking any more. We there fore ordered a tea and coffee. When they arrived after a very short while we were told that they could take our order. We both decided on ham egg and potato wedges with salad. This arrived after the time the kitchen should have closed. We enquired as to the early closing and was told the family who run the business were going away on holiday to France. Was the food worth the wait, you bet. My friend thought like me the ham which was a very large piece was full of flavour. The salad balanced out the whole thing being subtle and tasty. On going to pay were were wavering on the huge cake slices on offer, but alas that will have to wait the next time as they were closing. We will return, next time in larger numbers. Also ideal for wanting to see the white horse on the hill nearby. All the staff were family and very helpful and friendly. The choice of food is very good. This is not your usual greasy spoon cafe, more bistro like. They have a web site so check it out. They have sample menus and how to get there listed. You won't be disappointed.

I have visited this cafe many many times since its opening. It's a little gem that we're lucky to have so locally. The welcome is second to none and the food delicious. Whether its coffee and delicious home made cake or the full monty you won't be disappointed!

This cafe provides home cooked food and homemade cakes. The staff are friendly and very welcoming. Great surroundings and a brilliant view.

Had to wait ages to get our drinks, which were ok but the food was poor. Too expensive. The place is also quite out of the way so it's not worth the effort for me to get there. There are other places in Calne that are much better and also more central, like Stones Bistro , which has the most amazing setting with river views.

After a long walk no better place for enjoying a cuppa light snack or a sample of home made cake. Excellent service & with a smile.

A lovely cafe, in a converted petrol station! We received a very warm welcome by the owners. The cakes on display looked amazing, but it was breakfast time, so a bit early for those! I ordered the eggs on toast, which were lovely. I was given white bread, instead of the brown I'd asked for, but I'm sure they would have rectified it if I had bothered to ask. My other half had pancakes - they looked great! Coffee also lovely. Thouroughly recommend this place as a stop off on your way to Bath!

We love the Divine. Whether with friends, eating after a walk on the Downs or just having a treat the food and service at the Divine is special. One of the things we love is the way in which somehow you are made to feel like a special visitor-a lot of this is down to Mark and his daughters who front things while Jane creates the delightful food behind the scenes.

Won’t be back - coffee ok but woeful miserable staff. A smile, a bit of engagement, even eye contact makes a difference - you want to feel welcome rather than an intruder. Surely when money is tight places realise they might have to go that bit extra to encourage people to go back.

Website showed great promise. Kerbside appeal good, car parking good, service very good ( very helpful and friendly). Strange layout inside as its old building, dining room has no bar. Garden not used to its full potential, only very old tired play equipment for children. Food reasonable, 2 out of 3 meals okay. Third meal of chicken disappointing, either poor quality meat or overcooked or possibly both !!!!! Empty on a nice sunny lunchtime !!! Sorry but would not rush back.
