We had been gifted a voucher for Afternoon Cheese for Two. We visited the restaurant this afternoon and received first class service from the efficient friendly staff. The food selection was excellent..lovely presentation and it all tasted delicious. The selection of savoury and sweet complimented each other. We'll definitely return to sample other dishes on the menu.

Popped in for lunch that was not too filling but enough to keep us going, and delilah's was perfect. A wide choice of lunches from mouthwatering sandwiches to salads to antipasti platters. I chose the platter and boy ws it delicious! From the bread to the dips to the dried tomatoes and other accompaniments. I'd definitely have it again. This with the delicious coffee made it a fully enjoyable lunch. The decor of the deli restaurant upstairs is nothing over the top, just a view of the large deli shop below, which in itself is very tempting and well worth a visit. Will definitely be returning.

We enjoyed an excellent halloumi and chorizo roll while watching the cricket at Trent Bridge where Delilah's has a stall. A very nice lady( I think she is the owner) served us and the halloumi & chorizo is grilled on-demand in front of you as is the brioche bun. This really was one of the best sandwiches we have ever had and will certainly look for them next time we are at Trent Bridge.

Not as good as it once was. Too many mistakes. Food very expensive and small portions for the money. The service was awful. Sorry but for the amount we paid not worth it and we were hungry after. Plus we didn’t get the wine we ordered until after we finished our meal. Eat here regular but it has got steadily worse so it’s time to find somewhere else that appreciates regular customers.

Having previously enjoyed several tasty lunches at Delilah, we were disappointed at the quality of the food today. Tuna melt and Croque Monsieur are usually delicious, but the bread was too thick, dry, and difficult to eat, and the cooking lacked the usual finesse. Certainly not worth the £10+ each we paid for essentially grilled cheese on dry toast! Hopefully a better experience next time.

I really can’t imagine anyone leaving less than 5 stars for this place. I came here every week with my parents when I lived at home. As I’ve now moved away I can’t always visit, and I wanted to do something for my mum who is a huge fan of the venue also. So I called Delilah’s this morning on the off chance they deliver platters on the day! I could not believe it when the friendly and warm lady on the phone (whose name unfortunately I’ve forgotten) told me that was possible! Being stuck two hours from Nottingham I could not collect or deliver it myself. They created a bespoke and luxurious hamper which adhered to my set budget and delivered it to my mum themselves. I absolutely can’t believe it. My mum has sent me photos and the hamper is stunning! It is so rare to get such bespoke and tailored service, especially when it was over the phone too. Forever grateful to you guys for making mine and my mums day! We can’t wait to come again in person.

Lovely experience eating there! The staff is friendly, the vibe is cosy and the prices are affordable. The food is diverse and there’s a bit of everything. The truffle pesto and fresh burrata gnocchi were delicious with wonderful flavours, as were the polenta chips! The sourdough bread on the croque monsieur was a little bit too dry for my taste, as was the lamb patty and grilled halloumi burger. There is also a shop where you can buy many specialties which is lovely to check out too!

Really gone down hill, prices are extortionate and the owner is all for herself. Years ago this was a gem, it’s now like all the rest. I went in for a slice of bog standard cake which their suppliers also supply to Wollaton park, Delilah’s price is now £5.75 for a slice of cake, apparently the prices rose again last month. I told the lady I’m sorry but I won’t be able to buy it for that price, absolutely shameful. I work for half of the week in London and their cake prices aren’t even as high as these, but I’ll no longer be supporting Delilah’s.

I've always loved it at Delilah's - the breakfasts and brunches are usually delicious and the range of products in the delicatessen is beautiful. However, I had a disappointing experience there today when I went in with my toddler daughter. I ordered tea and toast and was brought the toast without the tea. I had to chase the tea three times and on the last time, when I mentioned that I would have preferred the tea and toast together, I was told in a very patronising tone - it's coming, don't you worry! They may as well have patted me on the head. All in all, a waste of £10 for tea and toast that I could have done better at home.

Love this place and have eaten here countless times over the years, it’s my go to place whenever I’m in Nottingham. However, in recent months I have experienced recurrent rudeness from one particular female member of staff and I’m aware that other friends and colleagues have also. Had lunch today with my daughters. The waiter accidentally knocked over a full glass of vanilla ice coffee over my daughter, covering the table in front of her, her chair, soaking her trousers and the floor in the local vacuity. Accidents happen and the waiter apologised profusely several times. His effort of clearing up was as you’d expect from most teenagers, so we were left with drips of coffee all round the table and chair (which continued to drip on to my daughter) and with coffee and ice all over the floor. I asked several times for some paper towel to clear up and was handed this without any offer of assistance. We were left to clear this mess up while our food went cold and two other more senior members of staff did their best to ignore us. Eventually the floor was mopped after I specifically requested it, in order that no one slipped on the melting ice. While there was a suggestion that we might submit any dry cleaning bills to them, that was not the issue. We simply wanted someone to take responsibility for cleaning up the mess properly, so we could sit comfortably and enjoy our food. Honestly, I’m appalled.

I come here often, but unfortunately I was disappointed with this visit. I ordered a cheese platter for 2 people as a starter course and was served a platter barely acceptable for one person. I assumed a mistake had been made, but I was assured this was correct. Having ordered this platter on many occasions in the past, the reduced portion was a shock. Because I didn't want my special lunch to be spoilt I ordered a second platter (the price of a platter is about £9). Also, a change in the menu restricts the choice unfortunately. This has always been my go-to place, but this last visit sadly left me feeling I had not received value for money.

I have been deliah for the 3rd visit while visiting Nottingham during this festive break. It was surprising that the staff where not as friendly and pleasant. I ordered coffee while looking within a deli section where I asked the staff at the food counter of a preference of bread cutting togther with meats to go with a sandwhich as there menu was limited to choice.. they where not keen on presenting this option but wanted to add on extra charges just to cut a italian bread roll and include the salmi which would be a lot more price. While i explained i just wanted to substitute this meat option to there current menu. Both the partner owner and manger offended me in front of the customers. While they kept suggesting there food serving policy and service of vat charges while explaining what me resulting of buying food products was not going to be flexible. I ended up pouring my own coffee into a cup and leaving the cafe dissatisfied and embarrassed.

Disappointing meal, I ordered the beetroot and goats cheese salad. Which came without any walnuts (which were ment to be in it) and literally the smallest piece of goats cheese. I highlighted this to the waiter , who put a little more cheese on it . I basically paid £12 for a plate of badly cooked beetroot in oil and vinegar.... It was terrible. Coffee cups were chipped, scratched and old. Table wasn't clean, and had crumbs on it. Not worth visiting, and honestly why serve food when you obviously don't have all the ingredients- take it off the menu.

One of the best choices for brunch and some nice food in Nottingham. Usually quite busy but not impossible to get a table. Good variety of cheese and meat, solid options for food in the menu, quite a few sweets too and nice coffee - especially the specialty filter coffee. Service is good, albeit it may take time to get served. Place is well curated to enable shoppers to part with some of their money for a bite of something that seems too great to leave the place without. A bit pricey but the again it's one of the very few options of delicatessen in the city. Generally enjoy visiting and trying new things.

We came for Sunday brunch and on first impressions, the store itself has beautiful architecture with plenty of fine foods to shop from. The mezzanine is mostly where guests received table service but there is also bar seats by the open kitchen on the ground floor. We were greeted by staff quickly and the entire experience was very pleasant. My partner ordered a gourmet breakfast and I went for the poached eggs, hollandaise, pancetta on English muffin. We also ordered a black americano (guest coffee of the month) and an iced matcha tea. My partner didn’t comment much on the coffee but I found the iced matcha tea to be surprisingly palatable, not overwhelming matcha with a sweetness to it (apple juice perhaps?). Onto the food, my partner found the overall breakfast slightly too salty but still very enjoyable. With mine, I was expecting diced pancetta but my meal came with a generous portion of sliced pancetta (like crispy American bacon streaks) ontop of two perfectly poached eggs. The hollandaise was slightly more pale than I liked and I found the English muffins sliced too thick. I enjoyed the pancetta but as good pancetta can be, it’s very rich and salty so be aware. Overall, we would score 4/5 on the food. There was the option to add service charge on the card machine rather than automatically applied. Shopping aspect- I’m a novice when it comes to cheese and the lady who looks after the cheese counter was very pleasant and helpful as well as knowledgeable who kindly helped me pick a selection. My partner was pleasantly surprised to see they also stock led guanciale - potentially the only place I know in Nottingham that stocks it. The shop was well stocked in a variety of goods and I highly recommend coming here for specialist fine foods.

Josie guided me through the menu and helped me choose something gluten free. It was gorgeous and tasty and portion was good too. I always think the coffees are way overpriced at over £3. The cups are small and not enough. It feels we are taken advantage of by these overpriced coffees as they must be getting 1000% profit. It's my only criticism. Thank you again Josie. Hugely disappointing! Have been several times before, and thought it was OK. But food and service definitely gone downhill. Service really brusque from Alex, actually no, he's downright rude. Most unwelcoming. The waitresses like Rose were charming tho. We went for brunch. I'm a fan of Welsh Rarebit and make a mean one myself. The Delilah version definitely lacked the Rarebit! Really quite poor. I had to ask as I thought it had been omitted! But there was a smidgin of cheese on one part of a very small, very thin slice of rock hard toast. Though the accompanying ham was tasty. We didn't linger over this rather meagre meal and went and enjoyed our Puds and a nice bottle of wine elsewhere. But off day or not, we were very disappointed and we won't be going back. Alex, aka Mr Fawlty, was so unwelcoming, and we were made to feel nuisances. And could see him being similarly brusque with others, so not just us. If he's struggling with pressure when it's busy then maybe someone else should be front of house! As we can't be the only ones put off by his brusque, frankly rude, manner. Oh yes, and all the prices have increased, and not reflected on their website or on the outside menu. For the dishes we had, we felt they weren't fair value. Mine for £11 certainly wasn't. There's loads of other places in Nottingham to explore and try. And we did! Actually since writing this, and before posting, couple of friends who were regular fans, were met with similar discourtesy from Alex. They were big fans, been going for years, but are cheesed off with the decline and also now won't be returning.
