This café is NOT closed as at 25/05/2024. I just had an excellent coffee and cake, and I must say that the menu looks delicious, great service and dog friendly too. Will definitely call again.

Under new ownership and now called CAFE LICIOUS. What a lovely surprise. Great selection of good food at sensible prices. Polite, friendly and very welcoming staff. A true gem in a lovely village.

Handy little cafe in the market square. Coffee, tea, cake, panini. Good view from the big windows at the front and warm and cosy on a chilly afternoon. More seating in a quiet room at the back. Modest cake selection. Odd that the Earl Grey tea came with a bag in a cup, rather than teapot, since the regular had a pot.

Had a wander around South Petherton and dropped in for refreshments. Very friendly staff, a pleasant place to be. Had a breakfast bap which was really scrummy. Thoroughly recommended. Also is dog friendly.

The coffee is creamy and delicious; the ham and cheese quiche is outstanding. It's worth your time and tastebuds to visit.

We have visited before and I am pleased to say the food is still excellent and service efficient and friendly. The breakfast menu is interesting and uses good quality ingredients. Watching the amount of customers coming and going it is obviously highly regarded locally. It is really exceptional value compared to some eating places around the Yeovil/South Somerset area which charge much higher prices and could learn a thing or two from this local deli cafe. Well done to everyone involved, we will be back!

We popped in hoping to grab sandwiches for our walk but ended up staying for a fantastic brunch instead. My partner had the full english breakfast and declared it his current favourite! He likes to sample a full english in all the cafes we visit. I had the porridge with marinated mini figs, cinnamon and brown sugar. It was delicious and a very generous portion. The staff were extremely friendly and the price very fair too. If we had got back in time we would have returned for a coffee after our walk it was that good! Would definitely visit again if we are ever in the area.

Look forward to next visit. Deli counter has excellent food too, many home cooked quiches, homity pie etc. Highly recommend.

I had the Ploughman's, best Ploughman ever, lovely flavours, very well presented, very filling, with some lovely extras that made it a very flavoursome and memorable meal. My partner had the meat platter and was equally impressed. Service with a smile too. Well off coming off the A303 for a mile. We will be visiting again, for sure.

We sometimes call in here on our way back along the A303. So much nicer than going to the roadside cafes and restaurants! Right in the centre of the village of South Petherton and not very far it's a brilliant place to go for coffee, lunch or afternoon tea. We stopped here the other day for lunch and had their mushroom quiche and salmon and cheddar quiche with salad and crisps on the side. A real homemade taste with interesting salad - not the usual 'out of a bag' boring offering! We sat outside and ate and a couple came out. He said he had just had the best Plowmans he had ever eaten. I would say the same about the quiche. Well worth a special trip and the village is lovely too.

Great coffee in an easy-going environment, and a good deli to browse and buy from. But please do something about the acoustics which make conversation a trial when the place is busy - which it often is.

I am lucky enough to be within walking distance to our fantastic Deli. The staff are super friendly and the food is fresh and tasty. There is a great choice of cheeses and cooked meats. The cakes are delicious. Personally, my favourites are the quiches and Homity pie. Highly recommend. Oh and the cooked breakfast is good too 😃

We were on a week's cycling holiday and knew from a friend living in Somerset that this deli in South Petherton was strategically positioned and very popular with locals. We were able to stop for lunch 3 times. We would have gone every day if possible. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and a proper community hub. Lots of tables so you can sit and eat the healthy and delicious food in comfort. Also a great cheese counter. They do light bites and more substantial plates. The quiche and homity pies were the big draw for us.

We stumbled across Delicious whilst walking the Parret Trail and it was an amazing find. It's a deli and cafe, the food is fresh, homemade and 'delicious', served in generous portions. I had ham and leek quiche, with new potatoes and salad and I can say it's the best quiche I've ever eaten. We popped back in the car later in the day so we could buy some more! The salad was also excellent, not just a side salad. It was fresh and zingy with pomegranate seeds, sweet tomatoes and fresh leaves. My hsband had bacon, brie & cranberry ciabbatta which he said was lovely. We bought potato salad and pea, feta & mint couscous to take away which were all excellent. The staff were lovely and friendly, the village is pretty and it's well worth a visit. Only trouble is we were there on holiday and it's a long way from home sadly.

This was a great little stop off on the way to the coast for us. The cafe does delicious food and drinks; family friendly and doggy snacks too. A nearby park for a walk and swings and slides too.
