The best eatery in Deptford area and it is the coziest relaxing coffee shop as well. The food was excellent and the service is beyond customer's expectation. I live in Canada but I must go there every time I am visiting London. The owner, Mr. Daniel, is a very kind and considerate person. He welcomes you with extending arms and greets you with sweet broadening smiles which make you feel very comfortable to stay in there either for a coffee or a meal. Please never forget to try their home made bakeries coupled with a cappuccino or freshly brewed American coffee. Please do drop by and never miss such an excellent opportunity as an honorable guest of our renowned DELI-X !!!

Great whole food Deli/Cafe/Coffee spot on Deptford High Street. Serving the best coffee in Deptford. And an unparalleled range of whole foods and ethical products. The cafe area at the back is a relaxed place to meet and or work. Whilst the rear courtyard garden filled with plants is a local hidden gem.

Love this place. It's like a cosy sitting room with courtyard garden serving healthy loved food and drinks. I like to go here to chill, have the "Warrior breakfast" before the gym, stock up on kitchen food and refill cleaning items and say hello to the staff.

Stopped off for coffee/tea and snacks. My friend chose the tea-and-sandwich (very reasonably-priced) deal. I chose coffee and would really have liked a croissant. Despite 8+ options on the menu none whatsoever were available ... Never mind - went for the vegan fruit flapjack. Not vegan myself but it was satisfying with a delicious taste. Lovely decor - both the shop and seating area. Love supporting independants whenever I can.

With two toddlers in tow, it's hard to find places that are both welcoming and entertaining for them. Even if the place bills itself as "child-friendly", I still find that these places are only "child-friendly" if you have children that don't move. Deli X is a great place to sit and have a coffee, and the kids are happy to sit and play. I met a friend (with no kids), and she read to them while we had hot drinks. The owners are very understanding about children, and sometimes their children are also around to play with mine. We really feel welcome here, and my children are always asking to come back!

I stopped off for a sandwich and a cool drink at about 3pm and had the place to myself for the first 10 minutes. Staff were welcoming and were most helpful when I was "humming and hawing" selecting from the menu. The front of the Deli is a shop and deli counter, the back of the store opens up into a restaurant with an eclectic selection of chairs and tables, and a raised platform with sofas and children's toys. French doors at the back of the room lead out into a rear yard with additional seating. There is a really nice atmosphere in here. The sandwich wasn't bad, but nothing to rave about.

I stopped in here for lunch today and got the vegan roasted butternut squash plate and spinach salad for takeaway. The squash was roasted very well, with earthy, savoury mushrooms in a pesto sauce. The salad was a good-sized portion and tasty as well. Very nice counter staff.

Tried this out for lunch and ordered a cheese salad sandwich. The bread was really tasty but the cheese was mild and tasteless, and the 'salad' just consisted of a few salad leaves. I was disappointed as at nearly £4 I expected more in the sandwich. The service was also quite slow. I understand it was lunchtime but a takeaway service should be fairly quick. I'd try here again but probably for coffee and / cake. Not sure I'd try the sandwiches again as it didn't taste good enough for the money spent on it.

Step in. Relax. Browse the library. Be at ease. Eclectic, homely and welcoming. Very busy for Sunday breakfasts with families coming and going but excellent service and food. Fantastic for a quite Sunday afternoon tea and coffee or light lunch. The butternut pumpkin dishes are delicious. The deli contains a fine selection of the condiments and fine foods you could wish for.

This is a great unpretentious deli serving very well cooked fresh food from sandwiches and soups through to full main meals. I live locally and have never had a bad meal. The staff are very accommodating and the place does the best breakfast in South London!!

just got back from Deptford after a visit to Deli X, which was thankfully very close to Deptford station. The deli was surprisingly huge and included a massive seating area with an array of eclectic sofas, whilst outside to the back there is a lovely seating area where customers could enjoy the sunshine. Furthermore the deli sells a vast range of organic products at reasonable prices! I popped in during a lunch break and picked up a Quinoa and red rice salad with chicken. It was by a mile the most delicious salad I had the great opportunity to have! All the ingredients were fresh colourful and the combination of textures were to die for! I was so impressed that on my way home, I decided to pop in and buy another salad to take home! The cost of each salad was £7.95 but I would happily have paid £10. Trust me if you are ever in Deptford high street pop into Deli X for a feast on the palette!

I had some good porridge and the salmon, egg and avocado wrap which was really nice, the deli itself has lots of cozy seating places and the waiters were friendly and helpful. Will definitely return.

The food was lovely and wholesome. The restaurant was cool and quirky. Could perhaps benefit from better heating and lighting however to create a cosier atmosphere. The service was a bit haphazard and slow. I would visit again if I was not in a rush as the food was good. There is a nice range of beverages.

Wanting to support a local business I have visited this place a few of times, and always left disppointed and feeling like I've just paid twice what I should have for what I received. - They refused to sell bread sliced so I reluctantly took a whole foccaccia - which turned out to be stale - When wanting to buy sliced cheese I was told the machine had already been cleaned so they would not slice it - Coffee was hardly better than McDonald's - at close to three times the price In addition to that I am told none of their food is organic. And they give you the impression you as a customer are a bother more than anything else. We have now stopped going, and instead get coffee and the occassional meal from The Waiting Room just down the street at much better quality and prices.

Had heard quite a lot of good things about this place,so decided to go for breakfast the with my partner today...the lady told us that they do full English breakfasts,so I ordered a breakfast of sausages, beans and scrambled egg.. When it arrived, the sausages were in a pool of water, the eggs scrambled with tomatoes, and I hate to tapes (should have said they were honna be served with tomatoes),the beams were cold and when I cut into the sausage,it was pink and raw..my boyfriend is a chef and he was shocked at how undercooked they were..

This place can deceive you as it's located on Deptford high street surrounded by loads of not so attractive shops but once you're inside you get a good vibe as soon as you're greeted by a smiling face. The food is delicious and cooked in view of all and there's a little corner for shopping where you can buy all sorts of healthy products. The space itself is spacious and quirky with a lovely little courtyard out back and its very child friendly. I consider it a little bit pricey considering the location but a great treat from time to time.

I am so pleased that I discovered this Delicatessen. After my visit I came home with a selection of: fine cheeses, thinly sliced Italian salame, fresh artisan bread, lovely wholesome snacks and freshly roasted coffee beans. This is only a selection of the range of food items on offer. While I was in the shop, I was offered the daily lunch special which was freshly made and I spoke with the friendly owner about the ingredients and family recipes that go into the food on offer. There is plenty of seating in attractive surroundings and on days with nice weather there is a back garden. So, Deli X is a shop which has a lot to offer.

Came to see a brilliant band , but the TV was left on as some guy was watching the darts, kind of ruined the small amount of ambience created by the band... this is not a venue to see a band unfortunately as the staff and managers attitude sucks.. could be amazing with the right management... feels like a naff Weatherspoons , would not recommend... lots of other local music pubs available, give this one a miss unless you just want to sit staring at your pint and watching the telly !
