A few reviews on here have confused it with Delhi bites, which is an Indian takeaway in Loughborough. Deli bites is a greasy spoon on Nottingham Road, serving excellent breakfasts and lunches at reasonable prices. The staff are lovely too.

This is the 3rd time I have had a delivery from this place and the last two they have forgot 1 item in which we then had to wait extra 10-15 mins on top the hr and half we have to wait. By then all food has gone cold. When they give the forgotten item they dnt even give anything free as a goodwill gesture as a sorry even.expected a bottle of coke or something at least. Not happy def won't go back there.

Loughborough might have spawned in its time Seb Coe and a whole host of international athletes and rugby players, a world class bell foundry and so on but its ultimate claim to fame is the holy grail of all greasy spoon - Deli Bites which lies about half a mile from the town centre and about 500m or so from the railway station.According to local legend a cafe has existed here (originally Maggies and for some of us is still known as Maggies) sine just after the war and in its day must have served hundreds of thousands of workers. Although many of the factories have gone and have been replaced by hi-tech start-ups or remanants of what used to be the indiustrial pulse of the town it is still an essential aprt of everyday life with its sandwich and delivery orders and the amount of workers who pass through its door on the way to work or ar Lunchtime. The range of snacks given the size of the place is amazing - and the prices - well where can you get a coffee for 80p and a breakfast cob (baguette-type thing for those who are unfamilair with local Leicestrershire expressions) for £.50 this side of the Andromeda Galaxy? Price-wise Deli Bites can more than strand up toe to toe with its bigger brothers up in the town centre. Carrianne, the young owner, is bubbly and enthusiastic about what she does and the value she hopes to give and can be justifiably proud of her client base.Potential students - as you get to the station walk up Nottingam Road and drop in for something to eat and drink. For those of you visiting the town forget the town centre and take a swing into - yes the unfashionable part of the town - and enjoy some good honest home-cooking at very sensible prices. You can't go far wrong at all. Deli Bites I salute you!

Fantastic food!! The only gripe is they struggled to feed all our group of 20ish of us. Some had to wait 30/40mins to even order. Not sure why they couldn't take the orders and just say they'd be a 30minute wait.

My most favourite little deli! Have been coming here for 11+ years and have never left disappointed. The food is fantastic and whenever I take people there (generally grabbing lunch with a colleague) they're always impressed with the quality of the food. Personal favourites are the brie and bacon baguette and THE WORLDS BEST lemon cheesecake (chefs kiss). Only slight criticisms would be the place gets so busy it can mean can't always eat in (shows how good the place is) and they're closed on a Monday which tends to be the day I work in the office so can't always nip in to the best deli in Leicestershire.

Love the White Horse. Been coming for a few years now as its a nice walk across from the boatyard where I live. Always stop in on way back for a drink. Last night was the first night I ate there. Myself n partner chose burgers, he the Yankee burger, me the what came first burger, (Chicken breast in breadcrumbs with a crispy egg on top). Burgers were served with French fries and onion rings all very tasty. I left room for dessert, I had the frangipane and pear tart oooh my days can I have the recipe please?? . As desserts go it was yummy but not much to look at lol, but boy did it taste well. The only downside the fries got cold quick, maybe due to surface size, I always find fries get cool quick. Next time I'll eat them first lol. All washed down with a glass of NZ Cab Sauv. Defo need to try the food here again. The garden here is lovely and terraced with plenty of outside and under the sheltered area seating. They do quizzes here too. It's by the river in birstal and maybank holiday is a must, Duck race time.
