Called for an early lunch on Wednesday afternoon. It was very busy but luckily managed to get a table. This place is my favourite go to for breakfast or lunch. The guy is a chef… not a cook. The food he turns out… it’s fantastic. More like something you’d get in a fancy London restaurant not a little cafe in Thorne! We ordered quiche , bbq chicken toastie and chicken and leek pie and everything was perfect. All homemade, the chicken in the pie melted in the mouth. Best chips around and my quiche had a really tasty side salad with balsamic glaze. I keep saying I’m going to try a theme night here but haven’t got round to it yet, but it’s definitely something I need to try… the photos look amazing. The waitresses are always really friendly too… very clean establishment…. Best cafe in Yorkshire!!

Great selection of sandwiches etc for lunch. I had the toasted Cajun chicken club. Friendly and good quality food. My friend had the sausage sandwich which looked good too!

My absolute favourite for a breakfast date! Always a friendly face to greet you, very polite and attentive and outstanding food every time, lovely coffee and cold drinks menu as well as a specials board, something for everyone!

If you want a lovely plate of food whether for breakfast or for lunch then De Ja Vu is the place. The breakfasts may seem a little pricey - however it is no greasy spoon. The meat is locally sourced.and you get plenty..The food is always fresh- so fresh you often see the girls dashing out of the cafe to buy from the local groceries whatever is required for the order. Today my husband and I had the crispy belly pork sandwich with a lime mayonnaise dressing. The pork was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The triple cooked chips are something else too. If you are in Thorne, the place is perfect for a coffee or a cup of tea, a breakfast with family or a spot of lunch with your friends. Enjoy!

We were recommended this place by a local. The breakfast was superb. We will want to visit this place every time we are here! Highly recommend!

I cannot fault this place. What a find. Amazing food, lovely atmosphere and friendly, efficient, professional service. Would highly recommend whether for lunch or for one of their special themed evenings. This place is a little gem!

I booked afternoon tea for my Mams 87th Birthday. The Owner gave us a private cafe, only for my guests, which is very useful when my guests are mostly Elderly / vulnerable, ., meaning we all could do our covid tests and stay relatively safe. The room was decorated with bunting and banners ( which I provided) Afternoon tea was served on vintage China tea service. And Cup and saucers, which was wonderful. All set out ready for our arrival. All special requirements including Wheat intolerance were catered for, with no fuss. And soft ,non crust bread provided for our sandwiches as requested. The cafe has no licence to sell alcohol. We took our own bubbly for the toast and flutes were provided. The staff were polite, helpful and seemed happy in their work. We had a party because we could! It's been a very difficult year for the catering industry and for elderly people who were often lonely.. I cannot stress who wonderful De javu cafe, Afternoon tea was. Just look at the attached pictures, they don't deceive.

My husband and I come regularly here because the menu is great. Lots of choice and the food itself is excellent. The truffle eggs Benedict is my favourite breakfast. Staff are friendly also.

The most amazing bacon and egg sandwich you will ever find. Not a morsel left. Every bit is delicious. Wonderful friendly atmosphere and great prices. We come every week and will do so forever more.

Dropped on this place by chance after the bakery down the road didn’t have small bread cakes available for my sausage sandwich. My breakfast cost a fair bit more than it would have done down the road. But it was worth every penny. Wonderful sausage...

We called in for coffee and were tempted by the drink and scone offer, both the coffee and scones were excellent. We don’t visit Thorne often but will definitely return to Deja vu next time we are in the town.

One of those places that's easy to pass by but once you've been you look forward to your next visit. Excellent "home cooked" food, wide selection available plus specials and attentive staff. Highly recommended

This was my second visit for afternoon tea. I took a friend for her birthday 🎂. I was not disappointed the food was delicious the service first class nothing was to much trouble will be definitely back again.

My pal and I were working in Thorne yesterday and by chance nipped into deja vu for lunch, my pal had an omelette which he said was lovely, I plumped for the steak pie, and I've got to say it was the best pie I've ever had, served with beautiful homemade chunky chips, peas and gravy, it was a delight. Unfortunately I live in Blackpool but if I were ever in the Doncaster area I wouldn't hesitate to eat at this fantastic place again. 10/10

Wow!!! The best afternoon tea I've ever had. Nothing was too much trouble. Mum asked to have certain sandwiches. They made some other delicious flavoured sarnies.

Deja Vu in Thorne coffee house and bistro is the best place i have visited in a long time i have heard good reports and finally visited myself and it was better than all expectations from the cafe itself to the coffee then of course the food is a at level as rosette restaurant. I just just been and had the eggs Benidict of the breakfast menu which is the best i have tasted the quality and presentation is better than a 5 Star Hotel. i cannot praise this little gem enough highly recommended, i will be returning to sample the "Afternoon Tea".

I visited Deja Vu at the end of October it was one of the very popular themed nights. (this one obviously was Halloween themed) Not knowing what to expect tucked away in a small pedestrian area in Thorne I was amazed how cozy this little eatery was. The staff were professional yet very friendly and the food was presented beautifully and most of all absolutely delicious. The imagination that the chef put into the menu was varied and impressive. Devilled quals eggs Jellied brains and braised pigs cheek!!! Tasted much better than their goulish descriptions. Looking forward to visiting and sampling the day time menu.

Really very impressed with the Afternoon Tea spread (as was my friend who works in high end hospitality) - not only did it all look and taste wonderful but there was SO much of it. Loved the open sandwiches, the scones and the cakes (excellent macarons) - all freshly made and with a definite level of ability.

Just had a braised belly pork sandwich with homemade chips and coleslaw. This meal was absolutely beautiful. Cooked and presented really well. This little place is a must for anyone who wants something a little different.

Went yesterday (01.06.16) for the first time for afternoon tea with my daughter and my son's partner.

This place is described on Trip Advisor as 'Vegetarian, Cafe'. Really? The vegetarian choice here would be disappointing for a regular cafe. It's inexcusable for one promoting itself as vegetarian. The menu and specials boards are pretty varied so there's ample choice overall but the veggie selection is limited to a couple of sandwiches, soup and breakfast items such as egg on toast - pretty lame. At least the cafe is pleasant inside and the food we did get was good. Not that we really got the chance to enjoy it. We were aware that the cafe closes very early (2pm on that Saturday) and made sure we were out then but by that time the staff had already been cleaning the place for some 20 minutes. Few things say 'you're no longer wanted here' than a strong smell of bleach, a mop at your feet and a cold draught from a wedged open entrance.

New Afternoon Tea At Deja Vu Well Worth A Visit!!! A Good Selection Of Sandwiches, And Savouries With Cream Teas!! And Fresh Selection Of Petit Fours!!

We called in here today for breakfast on our way home to Derbyshire from the Yorkshire coast.I ordered a small breakfast (but no tomato or black pudding thanks- yes I am a fussy eater!) and my husband ordered a bacon sandwich.

Well I have just been the first to taste Dejavu's afternoon tea and I must say it was very different to your average afternoon tea of sandwiches and cakes... I loved the little twists such as the pasta in a jar, chicken tikka wraps and the crab fishcakes with sweet chilli... Definitely gets your tastes buds going and would most certainly recommend to anyone! And for £10.95 each it's a treat!

Warm welcome, great food and a spotlessly clean venue. This place has it all and very reasonable prices too. Interesting and varied menu, very fresh and generous portions

I have recently visited this cafe/bistro for a family lunch was very impressed with the level of service and the quality of the food was all fresh ingredients and well presented is well worth a visit and reasonably price for a little town.

We go go regular for breakfast wethers it's for eggs Benedict of for a full English very good food proper sausages and free range eggs, very good for me and my husband or a girly brunch highly recommend, also the staff are very smart and well presented very nice ambience, all round excellent.

A brilliant cafe with excellent service, i always go with my two kids, 2 and 4months and we are always welcomed, they have kids portions and drinks available, highchairs and kids cutlery. Fantastic kid friendly girls working there!They have an excellent chef and i have never had food better with excellent prices!!

Attended a friends birthday bash - what an amazing evening it was ! It was a set menu of Indian food - beautifully presented served by lovely staff and tasted wonderful -particularly liked the lemon and coconut posset - yummmmmmy! Can't wait to go back I understand the breakfasts on a Saturday morning are well worth a visit .

Deja vu its in Thorne near doncaster. Been many times a quality food at a sensable price . Food is cooked to order Freshly bouhgt in daily its a little gold mine. The chips are a must fantastic.
