Deera in Kingston upon Thames

We have been regular consumers of Take Away deliveries from Deea, with a high level of expenditure over the last few years. Last night , March 16th 2024, we ordered a delivery at the cost of £88. Firstly , a king prawn shashlik dish @ cost of £16 approx. one of the most expensive dishes on the order , was not delivered. I rang the restaurant and it was delivered , albeit later than the original order. Then my daughter found a black hair in her vegetarian dish,. I rang the restaurant again, and the manager rang me back shortly afterwards to say it was a hair from a brush they use on the Tandoori grills. He sent another replacement . By then it must have been some time after the original delivery and my daughter would not trust the food again, feeling quite ill at finding the hair , and of course by the time the replacement dish had been been delivered again, it was all to late for my dinner. waiting for the prawn dish and hers, it felt like money wasted . Ok, these things happen people might say , but when you spend £88 ...not unusual for us with Deea , it is not unreasonable to expect due care and attention. We will not be ordering delivery from Deea ever again. Just not good enough or acceptable standard of service. Very careless and poor customer service.

Delicious food, great staff , lovley atmosphere. Can't wait to return soon. In the meantime a weekly take-a-way will tide us over in the best possible way.

All our meals , starters / mains were delicious . Friendly staff . A lovely evening .I particularly liked the Indian street food , which is not offered in other Indian restaurants , the taste was authentic .

I had quality time spend with my friend in deea with so delicious food,beautiful restaurant in kingston very clean and good service, all the waiter are very friendly, food excellent ,dessert so yummy I had cheese cake the the presentation looks lovely, I hardly recommend please come and try the delicious food and service.

Although I haven’t yet had a sit down meal in the restaurant, I have ordered 20+ takeaways from here. The food is always absolutely beautiful, I have tried a large array of dishes and I never been disappointed. These people obviously care about what they do and it is reflected in the quality of dishes, I would strongly recommend you give this place a try. Weekends take a while for delivery but the food always arrive hot and their delivery guy always has a smile on his face. I recommend this place to everyone, it’s difficult to find somewhere that consistently produces such high quality.

This is our favourite go to restaurant- you can eat in, collect or have food delivered. There is a wide range of food. Everything we have tried has been delicious. Highly recommended.

I'm extremely happy with the new menu including wonderful lamb chops and may other new tasty dishes. The menu is now much more interesting than the standard Indian. It was always a nice restaurant but it has significantly improved recently. Also the addition of a number of vegan dishes will help us for family visits.

Wasn’t sure after reading such mix reviews but we been blown away with well presented quality food and equally match good service. Among starter pistachios lamb chops and tiger prawn -65 was outstanding , mains old Delhi tikka masala was excellent with side of okra and Bombay Allo. Service was great ,Will visit again . Thanks

Well done Kingston. You now have an "avant-garde" restaurant to sit alongside your artisan coffee shops. I had my meal being oblivious to the terms use which annoyed me later. I would have taken pictures. Clearly they are not going into battle first so I must have missed advancing art at play. Maybe the cutlery was a little to the left? Does adding on a prentitious title to the restaurant name make the food better? And why french? The main had a take away feel to it. It was heavy and bland. Very very bland. The sauce had decided it was actually a soup. The texture of the chicken was unusual. Despite being hungry I found half was enough and fell back onto the breads which seemed ok. Service lacked any warmth whatsoever. As I see another reviewer pointing out, I ate in an empty restaurant and felt a bit unwelcome. It was a very quick meal for that reason. Not sure the huge shop front windows with every passing bus staring in at me helped. Maybe Kingston isn't quite ready for avant-garde just yet? Nor am I.

Great environment, great friendly staff and delicious food - an absolute must visit if you want true traditions indian food.

Avant-garde? Erm. No. Not so much. Be in your guard maybe? We ordered two different curries that tasted exactly the same. That would have been fine if the taste was good. If it had said "Luke warm oily gloop" on the menu they would have at least nailed that. Service. The place was empty when we arrived. It was empty when we left. How can service be so slow if you are the only clients? No clue how it stays open when good restaurants are closing everywhere. Kingston desperately needs a good indian restaurant. Not recommended.

Incredible food cooked to perfection, a lovely relaxing ambience and amazing stuff. Definitely my favourite local restaurant! Highly recommend the old Delhi chicken tikka masala and the chilli chicken. Will definitely be back soon
