2 pieces regular fish very small for the money 1 portion of chip very dry only for 2 people

Fancied a change of chip shops Nice friendly staff (only thing good about it) Very overpriced considering what I pay normally. Food wasn't great. Will not be using this fish and chip shop again.

Ordered in shop today as phone line not working to place order that way. Picked up order, paid. On opening .. wrong order. Two chips and has asked for two curry sauces. Should have checked bag in shop but was talking to friend. Chips rather dry too although fish moist and good batter.

I know it's a Christmas Bank Holiday, but if you can't be bothered to cook fresh, don't bother opening. Despite the friendly staff, the chips were dry and hard and the the pie was dry as old boots. This isn't the first time either. This used to be a great chippy but now I'll avoid until it stops catering for people pouring out of the pub. 😕

We normally enjoy the fish and chips from Deep Blue . Many times we have ordered for our care home. Today i spend £130 ordering for our residents none of them enjoyed it was very dried and hard for them to eat. And also it was bitter . Will will look for anther shop . I will not comment .

This is the best fish and chip shop! Really quick and friendly service, all my food was cooked to order! The new young manager was so nice and welcoming helping me decide what to order. I would highly recommend this chip shop!!

Thought we would try here while we were in bury , very disappointed in the portion size we had medium cod and chips , my 8 yr old grandson could of ate it all ,not even a scoop of chips in the boxes for £16+ very disappointing .

We got there just before opening time, and got our food immediately! The fish I had was beautifully cooked, and the chips were incredible! My mate had a jumbo sausage and chips, and his was equally good. Friendly and polite staff too! :-)

I was very disappointed that they have stopped doing gluten free batter. I was told not enough people wanted it, I said if they advertised the fact better, it would help!! I go to another shop that does it every day, about 15 miles away, which we use when visiting family.

Food is always spot on for that reason I highly recommend them.

Staff friendly and clear covid guidelines, but considering this was the most expensive sausage and chips I have bought recently, I was expecting a little better. Chips were soggy and sausage was no better than anywhere else. A little disappointed ☹️.

Good and fast service. Overall very good fish & chips with nice crispy batter, though hubby's large portion of cod was more batter than fish, unlike my medium which was great.

Very impressed, served in a cardbox, resting on paper, and if wanting put in a paper bag. No plastic in sight 👍👏

Just received my order of regular (more like toddler) size chips with large battered sausage, chips are luke warm and taste like they have been sat under a hot area for a couple of hours and the battered sausage is too over cooked, delivery was quick but considering how much the chips cost I'd expect an adult sized portion. I will stick to the codfather at least there food is fresh in fact the only thing that tasted nice was the Ben and Jerry's ice cream unfortunately the rest ended up in the bin it tasted that bad.

I read that the chips aren’t the best but I have to say mine were pretty decent. The staff I spoke to was pleasant enough & the plaice looked clean. I thought the prices were slightly higher than normal, which is surprising given the sink hole estate it’s serving. The only reason it didn’t get a 4 star rating was due to them not throwing the lunch time pies out & cooking fresh for the evening service

Nothing special! Small servings, expensive product ...but the refurb they did on the store a few year's back looks great, always clean and tidy.

Got fish and chips tonight for my daughters birthday. Ordered at just gone five and collected 20 mins later. Asked for scraps as my daughter wanted them instead of fish or sausage etc. Scraps forgotten so one sad girl on her birthday. Food was cold , chips tasted like yesterday's reheated. Having had chips from here before I'm pretty sure they were. Not a patch. On the West end chippy, shame its closed on a Sunday. Would not return to this chip shop in a hurry. Not a cheap mistake to make!!

Nice place. Clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The only issue is that sometimes the chips are not the nicest, it may be the oil used. Great selection on on menu and they will cater for any dietary requirements.

For the price of the cod ,expensive and really small,wouldn't recommend,very disappointed,the cod for £5.35 a piece a size of a jumbo sausage and as round,wouldn't buy from deep blue again,

Absolutely shocking and dosgusting behaviour. Completely unexplained. You don’t have to be rude and show disgusting facial gestures when other person is being nice and reapectful !!

Customer service is supposed to make you feel welcome and to have a positive experience, unfortunately on this occasion I left feeling undervalued. I had unacceptable customer service firstly during my order I presented you NHS ID for discount as they offer this to NHS, after presenting told she didn’t see unless she was psychic, so presented again when she then commented “I’ve seen it already”. I then paid by phone and she asked if a receipt was needed I said yes please. One wasn’t issued. This was ongoing. I was directed to the manager who was given my receipt, who after hearing my complaint took my receipt leaving the customer service lady to re issue another. After reading other reviews on this establishment and in a time when businesses are closing, customer service and manager input should be more customer focused. The customer service lady did apologise.

We had an awful experience with deep blue .ordered to take away 3 standard battered cod fish, 1 jumpo battered sausage and 3 standard chips .went home and opened the bag and found 3 cod battered fush not included in our order. As we are living near to the shop , went back to the shop and told the staff who served the food. But he told us it was included in the bag. I have to argue with him and kindly the cook came and solve the problem. I won't never again to visit in this shop .

Awful food. Ordered fish and chips and sausage and chips. Chips really dry and old, sausage slimy and mushy and fish overcooked. Really disappointed. Second time we have tried (as ratings were good) but never again! Overpriced compared with national average and much better providers.

tasty fish, order delayed 35 minutes, informed about it 10 minutes before the first delivery time, small? This is a little joke.

Fish overcooked, batter is rock hard, too much of it put on the fish. The chips are like cotton wool, too many crispy bits, most of it goes in the bin. Not good value for money.

If you want triple fried cooked chips.this is the place for you
