…this place was the least busy so we popped in and really enjoyed the chocolate ice cream, which was cheaper than we were expecting: £3 a scoop. Friendly, quick service too.

We visited the ice cream shop today. The ice cream was lovely but we will never go back again. The owner came into the shop and launched a tirade of abuse at the poor young assistants serving. He was so loud that the young lady serving us could not here us order. He was thoroughly rude and very aggressive and we are shocked that he can get anyone to work for him at all. Everyone needs to boycott this shop!!!!

Wanted to purchase 8 ice creams and was told NO CARDS !!! Had no cash on me, was told to go to the nearest ATM. Very rude in front of staff and customers. Even to the point of him telling me that ONLY THE SNOBBY ONES WISH TO USE THEIR CARDS. Never been talked to in this disgraceful way before.

Our 8 year old spotted the ice cream shop when we were on the roof at the baths… when we finished our tour he ran ahead to order his cone! As we entered the shop he was being told that it wasn’t a children’s ice cream shop! Turns out that my son had asked for Bubble gum flavoured ice cream…. The shop keeper told him that he refused to stock it, - he’s 8?! Don’t get me wrong I have a similar feeling about bubble gum ice cream…. But when a young child politely asks he then said to him that this is a “grown up ice cream shop” WOW! What a very sad approach to your business! My son left with a very nice tasting mint choc chip…. But I left with a sour taste in my mouth. Terrible attitude! (Reading reviews clearly were not the first to experience this joyous approach to his customers!)

The sales assistant used the same gloves to serve ice-cream and handle cash during a pandemic. When I pointed out she didn't suggest getting another ice cream, instead she apologize but didn't take any action

Just visited this ice cream shop today. My advice to anyone, never buy anything from this guy. When we visited the owner shouted continusouly at the staff members in front of a shop full of customers. One staff member was on the rota to leave work at 6pm and was told to stay until 7pm.....the poor young staff members said nothing just answered while he continued to humiliate them in front of customers. Really really bad!

Had a day trip to Bath and had to go to thayers shop as I remembered it from 30 years ago when I lived there. Looks a little dated compared with modern ice cream shops but the ice cream still fabulous. Had the salted caramel, lovely

Yummy ice cream shop across from Bath Abbey. Lots of unique, tempting flavors. Friend had a clotted cream vanilla cone. I had a double of lemon-lime cheesecake and white chocolate honeycomb crunch. Delicious! Take a fun photo with the statue outside.

This is an ice-cream parlour which showcases the best of the West Country with its lovely dairy ice-creams. You can choose from a myriad of flavours and then sit outside the abbey and watch the world go by ! The prces are reasonable for the location too !

We were lucky to experience such lovely weather on our trip to Bath last week. Weather so nice that we sat outside the Abbey with our ice cream, very lovely it was too. The cornets crisp and fresh and lovely tasting ice cream. This shop does not accept credit cards so have your cash ready. If they are busy, it is probably advisable to have some change too.

Went to buy a milkshake which was ok to be fair. The young girl who served us was really pleasant but was being tutored in the art of skinflint milkshake making by an older guy - Mr Thayer's I presume - who was really miserable and sounded like a penny-pinching old geezer. 'Only one scoop of ice-cream, not one and a bit'. Not a bad location for the shop but I would aim to go elsewhere next time.

Handy location on the edge of a square between the Baths and Abbey, with lots of benches outside. Quite a dated interior to this shop, but it's what's in the freezer, not what's on the walls that matters. The ginger was particularly impressive.

Not as trendy as some of the other ice cream parlours in Bath, but there is a good selection of ice creams on offer, and we were served quickly. We thoroughly enjoyed eating our Jaffa cake ice creams while listening to the buskers outside the abbey.

Just opposite Roman Bath, you find this ice cream shop on York Street. After visiting the attraction Roman Bath we went here to have some dessert. They serve many flavors of creamy, delicious, and crunchy ice creams. They also serve coffee and other cold drinks. Most of the time you will find a long queue, so you will have to wait but it is worth waiting for good ice-cream.

We called in here after visiting the baths and the abbey and I have to say, this was deliciously awesome ice cream. SO creamy and smooth and fresh blackcurrants all the way through. The cone was a good quality waffle cone and filled with ice cream down to the bottom.I THINK it was abiut £2.40 and absolutely worth every penny. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in the square watching the buskers outside the abbey.

There are a number of ice cream shops on the street, and visiting on a very sunny day they were all in high demand. However, this place, along with the Real Italian Ice Cream Company seemed to have the longest queues, and I can now understand why! The shop does seem to be quite old and is easy to miss, especially given the large number of advertising the the other ice cream shops stick up in front of the shop, however given our experience it is not hard to see why it is so popular. The staff were very friendly, even letting everyone try a couple of flavours each. They well trained, and had a good understanding of what each flavour contained and were very happy to give their recommendations. I opted for a scoop of hazelnut and chocolate ice cream (similar to a Ferrero Roche) with a scoop of coffee on top - something which I struggle to find in most shops these days. Both flavours were very nice, and the rest of my group really enjoyed their choices too. Will definitely return to this shop again!

I'm a frequent visitor to bristol airport, as my partner travels for work, so I'm often there to wait for his flights to come in. Unfortunately, there are very few options for anywhere to sit while waiting, other than cafe ritazza. Because of this, the cafe area is always busy, and all the regular/normal seating is always taken, so I have to try get my 50+yo arthritic, short arse up one one of their many Eiffel tower height stools, and if that's not hard enough, the darn things also swivel! No wonder all the other seating is always taken, and all these 'make yourself look like an ungainly idiot' seats are always free in huge numbers. Please please please cafe ritazza, rethink your seating options. Not everyone is an 8ft tall gymnasts.

I’m a travelling Australian and got excited about some home-style food but this was so bad. The rice clumped together like it was days old, the kale was discoloured and the serving size was pitiful. Could have made something much better myself for far less than the £15 I paid for this and a mediocre chai. Service wasn’t even friendly. I’m only giving it 2 stars because I had a juice there a few days ago and it was pretty decent - otherwise it would have been a one. And - on the plus side it didn’t taste terrible but the rice was a bit suss.
