Fabulous food, all homemade … and great value too. There are so many shawarma outlets in this area and some are quite good but this is for sure my new favourite. The staff too are delightful.

Amazing food. We had brunch today and they have the best shwarma, falafel and hummus. Their food is great, atmosphere is very homely, and staffs are very nice.

You have to check out this place! Prices are on point, like you won't believe how reasonable it is, and the food is AMAZING! I keep coming back for more any time I am in close proximity!

Amazing authentic levantine pastries..

We tried several pizzas and lamb wrap. Lamb wraps were amazing, coz they use real meat instead of processed meat. Its marinate is just nice, not too salty. We added tahina sauce too. Perfect combination. Dont forget to try their mint tea too. 100% halal. Limited seats. Very reasonable price. Nice staff. Just that, toilets need to be improved.

Damascus Bakery is a 10/10 friendly staff. It's one of my favourites and a must try! I would recommend the shawarma.

This is a small bakery with refreshingly good food and flavours. Very good value. Love the family feel with kids popping in to eat.

Alhamdulilah very tasy. Bought a mixed shawarma wrap for 6.99 to takeaway. Friendly young man served me. The shawarma consisted of a flaky wrap with chicken and lamb (which tasted really good), a delicious salad, garlic sauce (i think), houmous and chilli sauce. It tasted really fresh and authentic. I really like the design of the interior and it felt clean and fresh. I hope if you go it tastes as good as it did for me.

Found this Bakery whilst hungry and looking for a quick bite to eat. We were not disappointed. The food was 10/10 and customer service was great. Wish we would have taken some home. Will definetly visit again if we are in the area in sha allah

Amazing baked goods. If you know your Arabic baked goods then you know this place is one of the best. It's also great value for money and the staff are really friendly.

The price of the baklava is ridiculous at £20 per kg. When asked why the high price? They said because it’s Brighton. Ridiculous

Delicious Falafel wrap. I was informed that they make their Falafel in traditional Syrian recipe which is based on Bulgur Wheat and Onions, rather than Chickpeas, and formed differently to the usual round patties. With hindsight I should have asked for their recipe.

Really friendly staff. A fantastic, freshly-made felafel sandwich and , no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't resist the brilliant baklava. What a find!

I went in with my mum looking for some baklava and they were incredibly kind and gave us tasters and a really generous amount of baklava for the price! An absolute must have if you’re in or around Brighton!

While searching for someplace to eat in Central Brighton, I spotted the Damascus Bakery. I had never sampled Syrian cuisine before. Drawn in by the sight and lovely smell of freshly cooked Syrian style pizzas. I decided to eat there. Pleasant staff and lovely appetizing food made for a great, good value, lunch. Give the Damascus Bakery a try.

My Mum's family were from Syria, and so I was curious to see whether their food reminded me of past shared family meals. I was not disappointed. The Kibbehs were brilliant and just like my grandma used to make, the vegetarian vine leaves were delicious too. These can be hard to get right but they made them so well. I also had a spinach pie that was so good. I will definitely be back.

I popped in today for the first time ever. I feel ashamed not to have visited sooner! The pizza and pastry were both absolutely delicious and only £3.50 for both. High quality, mouth-water Syrian food - pop in next time you're feeling peckish!

I would like to start by highlighting the customer service, the warmth they receive customers. They provide a relaxed atmosphere but they are very mindful for the times we live in. It is a joy to shop take away. The products they produces have a genuine homemade look and taste. The quality of the dough is superior and the final product have a traditional look and taste. The baclava it is a absolute treat! All of these impressions were experienced in a lockdown, imagine the experience in full functioning coffee shop/ bakery! I am looking forward coming back and experience again the beautiful made and genuine products. Highly recommend!
