Daisy's Tea Rooms & Coffee Shop in Plymouth

We turned up just prior to them opening, the weather was foul but they let us in anyway. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was just.....lovely. And the pair of them are just amazing, welcoming, friendly and I cannot fault the visit. Daisy is just adorable!!! Will definitely be back. Hoping to book joint work birthday afternoon tea in June.

Our first time here and what a lovely find. I had a cream tea with delicious scones, my husband and partner had the breakfast which they thoroughly enjoyed. The owners were super friendly and their dog Daisy was just adorable. (We are a family of dog lovers). Will definitely be going back. Thank you to Daisy's Tea Rooms for a really enjoyable experience.

Had a lovely afternoon here, with friends. The festive afternoon tea was very good,and we were well looked after by Jackie.

We have visited this tearoom on many occasions and have never been disappointed. It is run by a lovely couple who do their best to make you feel at home. Carl is the chef and Jackie runs front of house. They are dog friendly and before we lost our gorgeous girl she loved to go there and get treats from them. Although we no longer live in the area we made a return visit recently and they were as welcoming as ever. In my opinion Carl makes the best fruit scones and my treat is always the Cream Tea while my husband loves the Cornish Pasties. I would thoroughly recommend this establishment.

Waitress looked bored. Kept hovering all the time waiting for us to make up our mind. We had a wheelchair which she seemed annoyed about and told us that we would have to book it in the next time we came, saying something about there not being room.. THERE WON'T BE A NEXT TIME! The chef wanted to take our picture for his Facebook page. We are private people. All in all not a great experience. Couldn't fault most of the food, but he sure can't make omelettes. Our dad smoked, and that sent the waitress off coughing, with a disapproving look. So if you don't smoke or have a wheelchair, you will be alright! Heard good reviews so was disappointed

1st visit 17 ladies on a hen day all dressed in tutus. Great atmosphere, great service , great food, good value for money. Just such a lovely friendly oldy woldy environment. You must visit , the owners are the only staff and they are delightful. Very accommodating and friendly. Had a lovely afternoon at Daisy's would highly recommend. You won't be disappointed. ❤️❤️❤️

I visited Daisy’s today with my Mum for an early Mother’s Day treat after reading the 5 star reviews. The reviews are definitely justified and I would’ve give 6 stars if it was possible. The cafe is homely and welcoming and the service is the best I have had anywhere. The owners are welcoming and friendly and really care about their businesses. It is really refreshing to be able to choose your freshly made sandwich and cake, as often we are left with things we don’t like. Everything is home made and the scones are the best I’ve ever had. We were spoiled for choice with the cakes and we took our coffee and walnut cake home as we were full and it was delicious. I really am not sure how they manage to produce such a quality afternoon tea for £12.50 it really os amazing value. The cafe is a credit to the friendly owners and we will definitely be back soon.

I came here for lunch after seeing lots of online recommendations & wasn’t disappointed. The lady serving us was really lovely & Welcoming. The whole place is relaxing and just a good vibe. Food was really nice, iced coffee was lovely and I will for sure be returning again.

It was by reading a post on Facebook that my friends and I came across Daisys run by Jackie and Carl..from opening the door as strangers we left as friends with the cosy and comfortable decor…delicious home cooked food and a menu catering for all …a real treat to be looked after so well …you get the personal touch that is rare in a busy city…..which keeps us returning again and again.

I visited with my son, parents and a couple of friends we had pre booked a table but my son decided to come fairly last minute we phoned ahead and they added him in no problem. We found it a very friendly atmosphere and the food was fantastic, tasted great and reasonably priced! Would definitely return.

Was part of a group of 12, including 2 minors, for a Saturday afternoon tea. My first surprise was I didn't know the establishment even existed until my son informed me of the venue a couple of days previous. Secondly, the establishment actually looked like a traditional tea room, despite being located in a modern glass and concrete structure. Thirdly, and most importantly, the sandwiches, scones and cakes were fresh and delicious (plus plentiful), even catering for the minors and vegetarian tastes. Finally, the value for money and the hospitality aspect. I did not expect the quality of the food for the price. You would have to look very extensively to find anywhere locally that could compete. Then we come onto the hosts. They provided a prompt friendly service and you could tell they had great pride in their business. NOTE: I have given a 5* rating for my group's afternoon tea experience only. Having not experienced their other menu fare, it would be unreasonable to pass any comment on this. However, if it matches up to the afternoon tea, I don't think you could go wrong.

We were welcomed by the husband and wife who run these tea rooms, the rooms were very clean and tidy. The menu has great variety, we had cooked sandwiches, plus a lovely GF carrot cake, and an enormous pot of tea for two.

They offer a range of nice food and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. However, it is located out of the city centre which might be far for students to travel and they don’t offer a student discount

Llegamos a Plymouth por unos días aproximadamente 1. 30 hs buscando un lugar para almorzar. Nos registramos en nuestro hotel cercano y luego fuimos a dar un paseo por el puerto. Había leído sobre este café en Trip Advisor. Así que pensé en intentarlo. Desde el momento en que entramos nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos. Jackie nos pidió que escaneáramos la aplicación NHS. No lo habíamos descargado, pero fue bastante fácil de hacer. Mi marido y yo tuvimos el pollo de coronación tostado, que venía con ensalada y patatas fritas. Tuve un café con leche encantador mientras mi esposo tenía una taza de té que venía con una taza, tenía suficiente en la olla para 2, lo cual fue más que suficiente. Carl y Jackie fueron muy amables y atentos. Sin duda lo recomendaría a cualquiera que se aloje en Plymouth. Definitivamente lo visitaríamos de nuevo. Muy buena relación calidad-precio. Tenían el distanciamiento social muy bien espaciado y se sentían muy seguros.

Stumbled across this cosy tea room whilst on a walk around the harbour. Fresh tea in a pot and not skimping on teabags. Teacakes accompanied, making a refreshing stop and relaxing into sumptuous leather chairs.

The tea rooms were lovely and clean and welcoming. The food was fabulous and the service was exceptional. We would recommend this delightful friendly family run place to anyone. This is my second visit to the Tea Rooms. As soon as you walk in your greeted with a warm welcome. Cosy little backstreet Tea Room. Lovely homely decor, clean and tidy. Prices are very reasonable. The homemade food is to die for. I love this place and I will most definitely be back.

Friendly staff, tasty sandwiches and cakes and best of all you get to choose your sandwiches or panini and cakes unlike other more expensive places. A scone with ham and cream, sandwiches of your choice or panning, and a cake of your choice served with tea on a tiered stand, all for a tenner. Really great value for money.

Called in for a cream tea with my family, lovely little cafe, tastefully decorated and fine china on the tables too. Staff were nice and friendly. My wife had an iced latte which went down well.

My daughter chose Daisies for her birthday afternoon tea. First impressions were good, nicely furnished, airy, clean and tidy. We had pre booked which I imagine is recommended as there are not many tables. Our orders were quite quickly taken, however we unfortunately had to wait an hour to actually receive the food, hence one mark taken off.

I stopped by after intending to pay a visit for months. So as soon as I had the chance I met some friends and we went. The menu is varied and when the meals arrived very very well made and tasty.

What a great find this place was. We were in Plymouth for a short break. Spotlessly clean, brilliant friendly staff who when we had a conversation about GF bread couldn't do enough to help. Offered to cook my chips seperately so that they were GF as well.

Outside appearance is deceptive as, once inside this concrete and glass block reveals a lovely comfortable mixture of old and modern. It is licensed, so you can enjoy a range of bottled beer, cider or lager as well as good tea/coffee. Curiously there was no choice of still soft drinks, just water. Very friendly, as others have said.

We love this little place. Never overcrowded, never feel Rushed always nice people to chat to. Jackie & Carl are lovely Hosts very friendly. If there’s a quiet spell they will even pull up a chair and have a chat with you, as it’s advertised as a Tea Room there’s quite a decent menu. Stumbled upon this dog friendly tea room and what a hidden gem. We had a cream tea and 2 mains. And 2 scones all amaizng and fresh will definitely return when visiting again. Staff friendly too.

The staff are always lovely. The food is always great. Went with a friend to have a cream tea for two. It was amazing. Was a bit adventurous with the watermelon cake. Absolutely no regrets. Will certainly request that cake again.

Great menu, lots to choose from. I picked the all day breakfast which was 7 items for £5.50. This was good for me as I am fussy so could choose exactly what I wanted. Food was served hot and the bacon was cooked perfectly. Will definitely return! Cakes looked amazing too.

Sometimes in life we are lucky to stumble across places that delight. So it was for me on a cold February morning on while wandering about the harbour area of Plymouth. Even as you walk in the door the Daisy’s embraces you with a warmth and almost olde world charm. Tables are laid out with delightful with china cups, saucers and plates so remincisent of days past. Folks Starbucks this ain’t and the better for it. Warm welcome. Ordered a cream tea, who cares if it was only 12pm. Scone was so good and the tea came in a teapot. Remember those. The cost, quite academic, but not expensive at all.

Staying in Plymouth again for three days whilst grandson came back to Uni. Walking back from Drakes Circus and took a short cut to walk along the harbour back to Sutton Harbour Premier Inn and came across this little cafe. Decided to have breakfast there in the morning. The whole cafe was warm cosy and inviting. The staff very friendly and the breakfast lovely. Huge pots of tea. My daughter is a celiac and was given a lovely ham filled omelette and gluten free cake. My husbands breakfast was really fresh and excellent. Will definitely go again and do highly recommend. Daisy we will revisit.

This gorgeous little coffee shop is a perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon. Without all the hustle and bustle of town. Carl and Jackie are the perfect hosts. Nothing is too much trouble. Customer service is fantastic. The food is all home made with Carl being the chef. And what a chef he is to. We have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. Enjoyed a wonderful afternoon tea here with family. The owners are so friendly, they make it feel like a home from home. The service is efficient. The food and drink is high quality. Will visit each time I'm in the area.

We visited last weekend and had a lovely relaxed coffee which turned into a relaxed lunch which turned into a return visit the next day. Very friendly owners . Really hope that others enjoy this tea room as much as we did and we wish them lots of success and will certainly return soon.
