Daily Baguette Carlisle in Carlisle

My wife Marjorie and I usually like a lunch in Carlisle when we are up although I don't eat much now as it plays havoc with my bowels if I overeat at lunchtime. Anyway I like to totter off for a coffee while Marjorie comes here for a big saucy baguette, which does surprise me as she is gluten intolerant, but she always comes back with a big smile on her face. 5 stars.

Great Baguettes and home made cakes scones are beautiful. Good thing about this place you can phone ahead with order and pick up when you want it.

Ich habe mir dort ein Panini mit Schinken, Käse, Tomaten und Zwiebeln bestellt. Obwohl nicht sehr viel los war, fertigte mich die Dame hinter der Theke mit 1- Wort-Sätzen ab und war dabei ziemlich mürrisch. Auf dem Panini fehlen letztendlich die Zwiebeln aber die anderen Zutaten waren frisch und lecker war es trozdem.

Excellent value for money for a baguette with plenty of filling. Quick service. There are also pieces of tray bake available - definitely recommend those, too. There are tables and chairs outside to be able to enjoy lunch and watch the world go by.

This is a great place for lunch. Wraps, baguettes, paninis, jackets all with tonnes of salad and generous fillings. Amazing value (average £2.50 for a humongous sandwich) daily specials like honey and chilli glazed chicken, roast pork and apple sauce, gammon and pineapple. The portions are incredibly generous and the salad includes jalapeños, sweetcorn, pineapple and peppers. Bung it all on! My personal favourites are the wraps. Try the coronation chicken or brie and cranberry. They also make lush carrot cake and traybakes. Service is friendly and very accommodating. A great place to go for lunch (every day)
