Cypriana Fish Bar in Bassetlaw

Virtually inedible fish, spent 22 pounds on three portions of fish and chips and all three fish the same. Hardly any batter on which made the fish dry and hard, chips also poor.

We used to go to this fish restaurant fairly often but it now has new owners and i have to say it is nothing like it was,my wife's fish was so hard it was difficult to get the knife through and when she did there was little or no white fish inside,mine had soggy batter but did have white inside,the chips were poor so we will not be going again it is a shame.

Visited a few times for a chippy takeaway lunch with my son, though we sit outside if we can. There is an indoor restaurant but I've not been in there for many many years, so I cant comment on that. Proper chips that aren't too greasy. Prices are reasonable. I'm very particular about how I like my chips and mushy peas and the staff cheerfully tolerate my awkwardness. They also provide a container of water for our dog, which is appreciated. Takeaway area is clean, but could do with a bit of updating - however the great service more than makes up for that.

We have eaten here countless times in the past, their fish and chips is excellent and those who run the place courteous indeed, we were not disappointed this last time either with the quality. Excellent!

We found this on our first reunion visit to Worksop. The staff were friendly, the menu has a wide variety of choices and all are reasonably priced. My Tuna and Sweetcorn Jacket Potato was very tasty, though my cup of tea was somewhat stewed for my liking. We didn't have to wait long for our meals. I would definitely eat there again on my next visit to Worksop.

We were on a day out and as we passed through Worksop we looked for a chippy.Conveniantly we were able to park outside the Cypriana Fish & Chip shop.My wife came back to the car with the chips and fish all attractivily boxed.The food was a delight, the fish had beautiful light batter and had large flaked cod, perfectly, the chips were almost chunky and were spot on, good colour and crispy fry, and potato was not greasy. The addition of a wedge of lemon and I would have been happy to pay restaurent prices. Shame we don't live in Worksop.

Nunca había estado antes, pero vimos un montón de gente con cajas de pescado y patatas fritas, así que les pedimos unos pocos donde se dieron y estaba que vale la pena ir.Me señaló en la dirección correcta con recomendaciones.El dueño y el personal encantador fresco para nosotros ya que no tienen mucho estar calientan . Terminamos en la zona de la cafetería en la parte de atrás. Teníamos fragmentos y guisantes de pescado con una taza de té y pan una mantequilla. Cuesta £12,00 total. El pescado estaba preparado a la luz de la perfección bateador de mullidas. Deseo que era mi tienda local de chip. Probamos la tarta parecía bueno y era casera.

The atmoshpere is very friendly, and the food is cooked exactly as you would expect chippie food to be. It is very tasty. The staff are always kind and pleasent. I keep going back for morw scrummy food!

Quaint little fish & chip bar tucked away just off of the centre of town.. Staff are always welcoming, friendly and provide fast service. Food is always cooked fresh. The fish is excellent as the fryer cooks it to your liking and the chips are lovely, not laden with grease like some places. Its always nice and clean too. If I fancy a naughty treat this is the only fish shop I come too!! If I have any complaints its that I just cannot eat it all, because of the large portion sizes you get :O Great value for money! I will be back!

I always visit cypriana when in town. Good fresh fish cooked just so. The chicken supreme is a must try as well!!

I visited this place with the kids and ordered fish cake and chips three times.I intended to sit in the back but decided to take out.The chips were very oil laden and hard.Will not be going here again.
