The cakes here are good but the phone call I just had with someone called Chris Brownie left a lot to be desired. Apparently he is the only person available to help. I wanted to preorder a cake for collection which my family has done a number of times. He refused. I asked if I could collect the cake from the store, selecting the store as the delivery address but all he kept saying was no. He refused to check with his manager and had an extremely rude tone. Really disappointing as a shame that this person is working in customer service and is letting the business down.

Another day another unsolicited email from these data-harvesting cowboys. What do you have to do to liberate yourself from these inbox-filling cretins?

I am so sad to give this review as I ordered a cake for my friend's birthday. I ordered ( passionfruit and pistachio) to her home as surprise before 2 weeks.the delivery was good. Unfortunately the cake was not good, it was so dry and overpriced.. Really not worth money it was between £40-50 overall . I would rate below 5. Really destroyed the bday mood.Order no: CS1036011

I didn't like it very much, and the dessert didn't appeal to me either. Its aura is nice, but I won't come back again. I give it 3 stars for the sake of its coffee.

Biscuits a little hard Passing through the center, I decide with a friend to come and have breakfast here. He takes scones but I take 3 biskies, one salted caramel with a marshmallow inside, the other always with marshmallow but classic with chocolate and the other the billionaire, with biscuit inside. Of the 3 I preferred the biscuit one but I didn't like all 3 very much because they had a hard biscuit and didn't have exciting flavours.

The packaging was great, prosecco was nice, popcorn was alright. Everything except the cake was good. The cake itself was so dry it was breaking apart at the touch of a knife. It seemed like it was at least a couple of weeks old. Won't be able to recommend.

Simply the best spot in London for delicious cakes. They use a Swiss meringue buttercream for the frosting that is the perfect counterpoint to the moist cake. I had a slice of their carrot, date, passionfruit cake today and I hope they keep it in rotation. The combination of the tangy passionfruit filling and the cake is heaven.

Ordered last minute as a valentine gift and we’re here by midday the next day. They arrived still very fresh with help of the mini ice pack they put With them. They brownies and mini cakes were very nice along with the price and how quickly they arrived I highly recommend and will definitely be using them again in the very near future.

I’ve been eyeing up the Pistachio & Passionfruit cake for a while & so for husband’s birthday I ordered it as we are huge fans of these flavours!I’m not a fan of ordering cakes for delivery as we all know it can go either way!I bake a lot at home too and are foodies so wasn’t sure what to expect from cutter & squidge as a first time order.Well we dug into the cake yesterday and I’ve got to say it is gorgeous! The flavours are absolutely divine & the textures work so well together! The cake sponge was not too dry or too moist it was just perfect! It arrived on the selected delivery date. Will buy again thank you!

Went here for my sister's birthday and were really happy with everything. The nice girls on shift spontaneously put a little candle on her cake and sang a little birthday song. Tea is included in the afternoon tea and can be refilled which was a great plus for us. The bread of the sandwiches was a little dry but they tasted great nonetheless. All in all it was a great experience and the girls were so nice. 💕 However, keep in mind that the afternoon tea is quite a lot of food, but taking the rest home with us (some of the absolutely delicious and still warm (!) scones) was no problem. Would definitely recommend.

Dårlig service fra vi trådte ind i butikken. Havde bestilt bord og havde glædet os til afternoon tea - kagerne var tørre og noget man selv kunne have lavet bedre. Sandwich kedelige fyldt med revet ost og underlig konsistens. Billig og halvdårlig syltetøj til scones. Koldt og tomt sted. Eneste lille plus var de lune scones - selv teen var kedelig. Kæmpe øv og alt alt for dyrt! 550 kr. for… ingenting!

The lady serving was really nice hence the 2 star! Was excited to try cutter and Squidge and took a friend for cake and tea! We had 3 slices in total. Cake was so dry and did not taste of anything but sugar. So so disappointing and a waste of money considering there are so many nice cake shops and bakeries in soho and surrounding areas.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our team at Cross Productions recently ordered the Mixed Mini Brownie Box from Cutter and Squidge, and it was an absolute hit! The amazing mixed selection of brownies was a lovely treat for the office. Inexpensive, convenient, and absolutely delicious! My particular favourite was the salted caramel—I’m a fiend for anything sweet and salty. I highly recommend their products. I’ll definitely be reordering for birthdays, anniversaries, and other celebrations.

I left a review last week in reference to the disappointing quality of an afternoon tea I ordered online for my Grandma's 92nd Birthday A I was asked to email Jessica and messaged her on Wednesday last week - I followed up again on Saturday and have still not had any response - terrible customer service!

I spent £40 on a passion fruit and pistachio cake. Given the price I would expect something quite special, but unfortunately it was industrial tasting, with way too much sugar, lacking in the aforementioned flavours with an overly dense texture. It’s definitely beautiful to look at but tastes like something from Tesco's for under £10. Also the candles supplied were snapped. Very disappointing as was for a special occasion.

Se ordenó que se entregara un pastel para el cumpleaños de mis esposos, no se recibió seguimiento el día de la entrega, así que llamé a servicio al cliente y hablé con el mismo tipo dos veces que era la persona más inútil en un rol de servicio al cliente con el que he hablado - no podía decirme dónde estaba el pastel o si de hecho un pastel se entregaba hoy o no, y realmente no estaba preocupado de ninguna manera. Me dijeron que esperara el resto del día (9 horas) con la esperanza de que llegara, momento en el que sería demasiado tarde para salir y comprar otra tarta ya que su cumpleaños es mañana. Si no llegaba el pastel me ofrecían un reemplazo a finales de semana o vales. Aparentemente no había nadie en la administración disponible que pudiera hablar conmigo. Al final pedí un reembolso inmediato que me permitiera ir a otro lugar en esta etapa tardía. Definitivamente no volveré a pedir a esta empresa de nuevo y si necesita seguridad de un pastel para una ocasión especial, hay un montón de buenas empresas confiables por ahí!

BE WARNED OF THEIR ONLINE CAKE AND TREATS DELIVERY SERVICE: Ordered a cake and a box of treats for an occasion. Products received made a month back and has had a passed expiration date. Appalling experience when I reached out to their customer service regarding this— the person insisted that the expired products are good for consumption as there could be a typo on the expiration date and refused to return and refund.

A delish find in the SOHO neighborhood of London. The window display pulled us in. The multi level cakes, hot scones and fudge. And of course Tea. The staff couldn’t have been nicer, even gave us sweets to try. Every choice is a good one.

Really nice little cafe in soho. I had the squide cake. Slices are huge and one was enough for two of us. It’s hard to find a nice slice of cake in London so was really pleased with this one. Loved having tea served in a pot also (and not a disposable cup like so many places!) Staff were so so friendly and really looked after us. Would recommend

We had such a great experience for afternoon tea. I accidentally booked for the wrong date and showed up a day late for our teatime. The staff couldn’t have been more acccommodating. Additionally, the afternoon tea serving was so generous. And delicious. Highly recommend for its food, service, and welcoming (and not pretentious) atmosphere.

Firstly the baker clearly knows what they are doing, a good tasting and nice looking Victoria sponge. Sadly the person looking after the customer, when the online order fails was not blessed by the buttercream gods. Having ordered a cake on December 27, paying the extra for a Jan 16 before Noon delivery, come 3pm, when the birthday cake was to be cut, we looked at our plates in a state of sorror. Mistakes happen but saying "have another cake on us" rather misses the point. A birthday cake is traditionally eaten in the first instance on the day of celebration. The cake arrived the next day, the balloons were down and we were out, it sat there waiting for the birthday boy age 88 - it was a sad sight. Our polite requests for a refund were ignored twice, they clearly didn't want to proceed with a refund! If you enjoy cake and it is your birthday, walk in and have a slice. Don't expect empathy or professionalism if you order online and it fails to arrive.

The vegan lemon and blueberry cheesecake was terrible. No flavour whatsoever and a terrible greasy filling and frosting. Definitely not recommended especially if you’re buying the whole cake like I did. Terrible.

Haven’t been to the actual bakery, but I ordered a dairy free chocolate cake for my wife for her birthday and it was amazing! Great quality, well packaged for a smooth damage free delivery. A+. Will use again.

Ordered the cake to deliver the cake never arrived. Customer service booked another one to replace it and it never arrived. Failed second time. Imagined if this was for someone’s birthday. Dont offer service if it can’t be done properly. Very disappointed and wouldnt use the deliver service again

Do not purchase. Their website crashed whilst trying to place an order for brownies for a sick friend, two orders ended up coming to myself and the recipient and they would not refund for their mistake, saying I should have noticed two order numbers (with one digit out when I was expecting only one) plus one went into my junk folder. Shoddy and basically spend £50 on 24 brownies, ridiculous

So I'm not going to be nice but it really wasn't good. First thing, Harry Potter tea time no longer exists. We had a classic tea time. Already absolutely no one in the café at the start of the afternoon And the tea time was just bad Everything is prepared in advance the day before I imagine and stored in a fridge. Then taken out just before serving it at the table The bread for the small sandwiches was hard. There was a yellowish layer on top of the cream for the scones In short, we felt that the food had not yet warmed up to room temperature and therefore had no flavor. And the pastries are just sugar and not very fresh (stayed under the bell jars too long?)

Went there today with family and the service was absolutely awful. The large woman with her tied short hair really should learn customer service skills and manners. She did not know how to resolve an issue that she caused and blamed my family member. The cake tasted stale, only had it on her recommendation and the tea and coffee was so watered down, should of just ordered tap water instead. Asked to speak with the manager but she said she's the store manager, got her name 'Eillyne' I will email her manager regarding this issue. Unsatisfactory service, smelt like cigarettes with a bad attitude. Very foul mouth. Will spread the word and make sure this place has no business with everyone we know.

Had that worst experience ever... went with my family and it was horrible, bloody slow service or what pluse the food wasn'tall that... sorry to say this but Eillyne is the worst manager. This place needs a better manager to manage it properly

This is one of those Instagram-friendly cafes serving pretty cakes and cute walls (although in my humble opinion they're a little outdated by now). We popped by for a quick pit stop while walking around the Soho area to have a couple slices of cakes, and left shortly after. Cakes were alright, but service was almost non-existent; almost borderline feeling like we were not welcome in the shop.

Don’t order a cake from Cutter & Squidge if you need it for a special occasion for delivery on a specific day. Despite paying for early delivery the cake didn’t arrive and still hasn’t 2 days on. This isn’t my first experience of this. One cake I ordered arrived in the evening after the event and the cakes for my sons 18th also never arrived. I thought it was a one off issue with delivery but clearly not! C&S need to review the delivery company they are using! Not good considering I ordered for special occasions and have been let down now 3 times so never again will I be ordering!

Ordered a cake for delivery to a birthday and paid extra for a specific slot. No delivery received - AT ALL. I was refunded, but wasted a whole day waiting on top of not having a cake at all for the party. No customer service warning us it might not arrive and we should therefore at least look elsewhere. Given the time sensitive nature of the business it was a complete failure.

Ordered cake well in advance for nominated day between 8-8 within M25. Despite notifying them immediately that DHL was showing delayed delivery, they continued to reiterate it was likely only slightly delayed but would arrive by 8pm. It has not. I notified customer service I has ordered the cake a day earlier in anticipation of this type of hiccup and that it would be fine if it arrives by 4pm the following day, however they have not responded or provided an alternative. Cannot recommend.

Ordered a cake for a birthday with nominated day delivery (£10). It is supposed to arrive between 7am and 9pm. I called their support line at 6:30pm, who reassured me that it was on track for delivery. It's still not here. It is 9pm. We have no cake and guests over. Superb. UPDATE: Our issue was resolved promptly once the right people stepped in. The cake and brownies were delicious, shame about the delivery issues.

Very poor service.Will never order from them again. Ordered a birthday cake for yesterday as family coming around to celebrate my birthday. Got an email saying delivery was delayed until the next working day which meant that the cake is going to arrive the day after my birthday which is completely useless to me now. I phoned customer service to tell them that DHL have said the cake wasn't going to be delivered on said day and the man on the phone said that it was still scheduled to arrive by 8pm and fobbed me off and blatantly lied to me. I am not going to accept a cake that is a day old and God only knows in what condition it is after being with dhl for 2 days. Disgusting service from cutter and squidge and expect a full refund and compensation for ruining my birthday.

Uno de los mejores lugares de té de la tarde que he estado también. Tan delicioso y fresco. Los rollos son deliciosos. Los bollos para morir y los pasteles se ven increíbles. Estaba tan lleno después de 2 rollos y un bollo no ha tenido el pastel todavía. Tienes 90 minutos y son bastante estrictos sobre el tiempo, así que llega a tiempo. Estaban felices de encajonar lo que no habíamos terminado y la señora que nos atendió hizo un trabajo Stirling. El té estaba caliente y abundante. Sin duda recomendaría.

Worst scones I have had in my life. Undercooked and smelly. The Eton mess was also just ok. The teas here are nice, food was a disappointment. I have heard it’s a place to order cakes from, perhaps those are better than the stuff on their shelves.

A very nice café in the Soho district. The cakes were delicious, with huge portions. The coffee was good—not the best I’ve ever had, but definitely on the good side. The place is cozy and atmospheric, and the staff is friendly. I highly recommend it if you’re in the mood for a good slice of cake. PS. They also have vegan options!

Have ordered from Cutter & Squidge many times and recently ordered a wedding cake. The desserts are always delicious and there are great vegan & gluten free options as well.

Chocolate Squidge Cake is simply the best I've tried from here. It is a lovely cafe for a snack and evening tea and cake.

I’ve always ordered for delivery and although I had experienced some issues with their delivery company, their service and the quality of cakes is superb. Oana in particular was very attentive and kind. Would recommend and will order again in the future.

Ordered the berry sponge to sit in. The cake had a strong fishy flavour- it had gone off. The manager was happy to change it for another cake but did not offer a refund.

A decent sized slice of cake for London prices (£5.90 take away). The lovely woman behind the counter suggested the Chocolate Squidge Cake and to leave it an hour before eating. It was light, soft and (arguably) not too sweet (by chocolate cake terms!) however you could barely taste the other Carmel layers. No cupcakes here, only the slices when it comes to cake. The bakery was empty because it was early (no plug sockets for anyone thinking about setting up shop)

I ordered the Giant Birthday Biskie online for delivery and what a delicious cake it is! The cookie top and base are chewy. The salted caramel buttercream is sweet and the marshmallow in the middle is very soft and perfectly roasted. I ordered from Cutter & Squidge the day before so to receive the cake before midday the next day was nice. I will definitely be ordering from C & S in the future as I can already confirm that their cakes are of a high standard.

Best sponge cake in town. I have tried here so many times and I’m always in love with the cake. The sponge is always moist and not too sweet. Filing always has good texture and has fine balance

Cosy cafe which was surprisingly uncrowded on a Sunday afternoon - great spot for a quieter catch up with a friend. Unfortunately, the scones were pretty hard despite being heated up, and the jam and clotted cream came in pre-packaged pots. The lychee and peach tea was pretty yummy. Would probably be back just to have a tea or coffee next time if I'm in the area.

AVOID. I have ordered from these guys in the past and always some issue or another. Either a damaged cake, a wrong cake and on this occasion no cake. We waited all day to surprise my mum and nothing turned up. I contacted them the next day and they offered me a 50% VOUCHER. I understand things can go wrong but NOT all the bloody time. And if things do go wrong then at least offer a full refund. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

I was delivered a Cutter and Squidge cake for my birthday from family. It was a passionfruit & pistachio cake. Packing and delivery was actually clean, the cake maintained its presentation following its journey. Cake looked beautiful. But the cake it self... If your target is to get diabetes, this is a great choice! The little toppings on the cake? Glazed. The cream on top of the cake? It's basically just pure sugar. The cake sponge? Soaked in a sugar pot for 10 days. The filler cream? Need I say more... Did anyone actually check how much sugar they added? One bite and I got a headache. You need to have a balance. You cant have over the top sweetness from the cream take over an over the top sweet sponge. The worst cake I've ever had, and i've had cakes at places like "The Sugar Factory".

Wish I had read the courier/delivery reviews first! Delivered damaged and brownies leaking from the package and in crumbs. Ordered from overseas for Birthday for special family member so very disappointed.

For drinks, we ordered a latte and tea, and that was fine. For snacks, we ordered the strawberry biskie and the vegan chocolate caramel cake, and both were tasty. The place is aesthetically pleasing, and great for pictures/video.

What good is a Birthday Cake that delivered after a Birthday? Then to add insult, only a voucher is offered instead of a refund. Disappointed at the response and failure to refund. A loyal customer.

I booked afternoon tea mid September 2024 for 7 people and can I just say how amazing everything was from start to the finish. Customer service was friendly from the moment we all walked in and were shown to our table. The staff were so friendly (despite being so busy) they made sure we didn't have to wait too long for our order and when it arrived they made sure we received everything we ordered. I would highly recommend going to Cutter and Squidge for afternoon tea it's so fun and vibrant you won't forget how great food is!!!

We won a home afternoon tea for two in a raffle and it was delicious. The scones, jam and cream were just as scones should be, the chocolate cake was really chocolatey with nice crunchy bits, the lemon cake was so full of fabulously different flavours and the tea, which we served in a proper tea-pot with our best china tea-cups, was so very tasty. All-in-all a fabulous treat for us. Thank you Cutter & Squidge!

We have ordered the Hazelnut and Chocolate cake as a Birthday present. The cake arrived next day by lunch time. Would not change anything in a cake and would definitely recommend trying it. Delicious!!!

The cakes look so delicious, but the names do not match the ingredients. I bought a cheesecake that is not a cheesecake. The cream contains 90% butter. Thanks to the staff for the refund. But unfortunately it affected my mood. I am very upset.

Absolute horrible service and even worse cake! They have absolute no empathy or treat customers in a respectful manner. They just seem to be blaming the customers rather than ever take ownership for their mess ups. We had a lovely afternoon tea. One of the members our group had allergies and the service thought along very well and gave great options. We had a great time and would suggest this place to friends and family.

The carrot cake I ordered was good but my friend’s passion fruit cake wasn’t The biscuits and other sweets weren't tasty Scones were ok They have decent tea collection and it was good I ordered hibiscus Sandwiches were 6.5/10 The have candles if you want to celebrate your day I don’t recommend this place for afternoon tea 😅

Fantastic service! I had an issue with my cake delivery and Oana was kind and really helped sort it out in a timely and efficient manner. The chocolate fudge caramel cake was delicious and I would definitely order from them again!
