Wanted to order a sausage bap while waiting in que I asked if could go to toilet. The response was not a public toilet and only for staff. I then said I’m waiting to buy something she then changed her mind and said if eating in can use toilet. Why she lie to start with. Very rude unprofessional lady. I said to her before I swifty left to find toilet as was desperate to use it and hungry. That will be the last time I use them again. I don’t see the issue with letting a customer use the toilet, when desperate. Luckily the pub on the same road said with a smile yes it ok to use toilet even though I was not buying anything. Which was lucky because had nowhere else I would have made in time

Recently moved to Bircwood lincs. The products in the shop was very traditional and old fashioned. I tried a large custard. The custard was smooth and really nice. The pastry tasted lardy and salty. Nice friendly service though.

I live in Lincoln. My uncle came to visit us, and he went to curtis in Lincoln and brought 3 pork pies. My uncle is in his 80's when he got home back to Littlehampton. He received his bank statement, and he had been charged £50 He phoned the shop in Lincoln and told the lady she gave my uncle's head office number he phoned head office and explained they asked for proof of purchase so he sent the bank statement and they told my Uncle they would sort it out he hasn't heard another thing they should be named and shamed as how could they treat a man in his 80's this way

I normally only ever leave 5 star reviews, however my visit to Curtis of Lincoln St Marks yesterday was so bad I feel obliged to warn other customers not to go there. I could have forgiven the awful hot drink and bacon and cheese turnover I had if the staff had been friendly. They weren't! There was a young man working there who seemed to be doing all the work-serving customers, cleaning and clearing the tables with no help. On leaving I cleared my table and took my dishes to the counter where an older woman, maybe around 60+ years, slim with white hair, noticed me however ignored me. I asked the young man if I could use the toilet. He appeared terrified and said, 'you will have to ask someone else'. I waited a good 5 minutes whilst the white haired lady behind the counter served someone else. When she had finished serving the customer she continued to notice me, but ignore me whilst I waited patiently at the counter. Eventually I asked her if I could please use the toilet, which I could see from where I was standing and which was not in use. Outside it was raining very heavily. The lady looked annoyed that I had interuppted her whilst she had free time. She responded, 'no, we don't have a toilet here! You have to use the public toilets.' These were some distance away and I was desperate. To summarise, whilst I appreciate Curtis of Lincoln St Marks have no obligation to allow customers to use their clearly visible toilet, it would have been a kind and considerate act to help someone rather than send them out into the heavy rain to walk a long way to the toilets. It would also have been nice to receive a welcoming and friendly service, which I did not. I will point out this branch of Curtis is not typical of the normal friendly service one normally receives, however it has discouraged me from visiting any Curtis branches in the future.

Popped in for a takeaway lunch and wished we hadn't bothered. Served by two miserable members of staff who acted like they didn't want to be there. Very curt in answering questions and generally unhelpful. When I pointed out an error in our order, the younger of the two, sighed loudly and rolled her eyes skyward. This was witnessed by another customer who was just as surprised as we were to be met with such blatant rudeness. The sandwich fillings are not labelled up at all so you have to guess what they are. The sausage rolls are very greasy, with minimal meat. My advice to customers is shop elsewhere. My advice to the management, staff training required or hire cheerier staff who don't mind working a weekend.

My friend and I met for coffee and due to time restraints went into Curtis on the High street near Tentercroft car park. I was very disappointed with the staffs lack of knowledge regarding gluten free products. My friend has coeliac disease and needs to be extremely vigilant. In the end they referred to a folder and thought the flapjacks would be ok. (as it happens they wouldn't have been) but we decided not to trust them. I would have thought the staffs training would have included knowledge ogmf GF products?

Was in desperate need of a breakfast sandwich- they had no egg and instead offered egg mayo on a sausage bap which was the first red flag. They then got the sausages out which could only resemble prince charles fingers if he’d been cremated. I’ve never experienced such a burnt and shrivelled yet still strangely pink sausage in my life Morning ruined

Most of the items are now sadly bought in from pilgrim foodservice, Bloomsbury bakery and boston sausage. The steak slice was more full of air than anything else and just not worth the £2.35 price tag. Greg's thank you for your extortionate prices and poor quality products

Do yourself a favour and give it a miss. Thought we support a local business and get coffee and snack (could have gone greggs across the road for half price). Big sign outside advertising hot drink and breakfast bap all day 2.75. The miserable girl at the counter said we have no bacon (11am, butchers counter in situ). Said ok will have sausage butty and coffee. Got charged 6.75 and when questioned the price she said vat is added for sitting at the table. I am no matematician but vat is not 40% in this country. No customer toilet, long wait, would not recommend.

3 members of staff were on duty and there were a steady job stop streaming customers. The shop has a deli side and a sandwiches and cake side which is where most if the customers were going. We wanted Lincolnshire sausage meat and cheeses so we were on the deli side. The staff worked hard to keep people waiting the minimum amount of time and they were polite and helpful.I saw 2 tables for people to sit in and eat too.A lovely old fashioned shop that takes you back in time. I loved it.

Went here with my wife and two young children. We were served quickly and sat in and enjoyed sandwiches, toasted tea cakes and drinks for less than £12. It’s not Michelin star but simple nice food.

Suddenly this Starbucks only sells hot drinks in large mugs, minimum cost of hot chocolate £4, the current staff either don’t care or don’t know , what a change from previous years. I’m deleting my app , it’s pointless.
