It would be nice to know when ordering to be informed that the food you are ordering is Halal , being a Catholic it's not really my religion food

Ordered 5 items and only was correct! Called following day because we was intending to eat the the rest the following day, once we released the had sent the wrong items. We called and got longed off! Don’t waste your time or money!!!!!

Excellent food. Definitely has got better since last bad review. Had a good few meals over past few months and it was great. Portion size/price is the same everywhere, Cost Of Living Has Gone UP.

Arrived cold not for the first time , portion s size is smaller than used to o be.

Was delicious thank you good customer service too and good meat ratio and portion size will come back

A good Indian takeaway with reasonable prices

I can't understand the negative reviews, it's best Indian in the UK. My whole estate now use them.

Always had lovely curry's from here ,never had a problem with any food I've ordered. Fairly priced too.

i wish i could give a zero star, thought i would give them a try , mistake ,they totally messed up my first order, wrong size rice, popadoms was so stale you could fold them !! chicken over cooked ,very dry ,lamb was more fat than meat , onion bhaji was hard as hell ,painful to eat so didnt , whole meal was awful, will stick to my normal indian haunts

Ordered food for family meal. Repeated the order back to the guy as they've forgot things before. This time they excelled themselves. Forgot two items outof a total order of 4 different items. Called to complain. Guy said 5 minutes it's on its way. 20 minutes later still nothing. Called again told guy not happy. He went onto blame everyone but himself. Waste of money. Food ruined. won't be ordering from there ever again. Read other people's feedback before wasting your money on these wasters

Always my go to curry place in Basildon , korma, tikka masala, madras all bang on. Delivery fairly fast.

what we ordered was nice after we warmed it up. But to wait 2 hours + was a bit of a joke and when I phoned up after 1 hour was told just being cooked. After 2 hours was told exactly the same thing. Will not order from there again

Dirty food . Fatty tandoori chicken (didn't even know this was possible) 30 minutes late also . Stale bread taste . Not ordering from here again . Didn't help when you call up to be told its not as late as it clearly is . Bad from start to finish

Did a order for delivery for over £50 paid by card, was told wait is about 1 hour and 20 minutes, ok not a problem. An hour and 25 minutes later a women from 4 doors away knocks to ask if we had ordered a takeaway as one had been left by ‘her front door’. Food was stone cold. Called curry master no apology or offer of refund only if I wanted a replacement I’d have to wait longer.

Please do not order here if you are looking for authentic Indian food. I ordered tandoori chicken here twice thinking tandoori items cannot be screwed much but I was wrong. The chicken was undercooked and to give that tandoori look guess they added pink food color to it which was rubbish to taste and to look as well. Definitely dont recommend and will never order here again.

The best way to explain my experience would be disappointing. Delivery was set for 17.30, the food arrived over an hour late, cold and with missing items. To spend £50 on an Indian and such a poor quality is very disappointing

We ordered a takeaway yesterday, as like a lot of people have enough to do today. It took over 2 hours to arrive and we are relatively close to the restaurant. (5 minute drive) it was lukewarm and not even very nice. The lamb tikka rogan was mostly sauce and what meat there was my partner said was tough and chewy. The butter chicken didn't taste like a butter chicken, there wasn't much cardamon coming though, in fact there wasn't much of any flavour coming through except a little chilli (it was quite spicy for a butter chicken too.) It tasted more like a korma with that gritty ground almond taste. All in all I will not be rushing back there. I could have made my own butter chicken quicker and to my own taste. Will see what the other local restaurants are like in future.

Terrible service, Had nothing but issues from moment of order to failed delivery, didn't even call to say running or or better still not coming at all, Stay clear of the curry master you have been warned,

We have been eating our Indian food here for a very long time now, wouldn't go anywhere else as it is so nice. Food always fresh and hot. Good size portions and very tasty. (We once had Indian food from another restaurant when we were over where our friends lived and it was totally tasteless when you are used to curry master)! The only one problem we had a while back was a long delivery wait, so now I make sure I collect it myself, but I'm sure they have sorted that out by now. Would highly recommend.

Waited nearly 2 hours for my food. Never ordering from here again. The people are rude.

Ordered for the first time tonight. Had to return the order as the food was cold and stale. They replaced the order but I'm afraid it just wasn't good enough. The onion bhaji was awful and the rogan josh meat was tough. I will be sticking to my regular restaurant from now on. There was a lot of waste tonight and a waste of money.

We regularly order from the Curry Master with no problem however this time round they forgot to add 2 rice to our delivery. Delivery time alone was over an hour, and added on the extra journey time to deliver the rice we were looking at almost 2 hours from when we ordered to when we could actually eat. Just to top it off when our rice arrived, we only received one small rice and not the double we had ordered We had to keep the food we had, heated in the oven. Completely defying the point in ordering a takeaway - to save us having to turn the oven on This slip up has now put us off ordering from here again and we will be looking elsewhere.

We ordered from here to find our new Indian replacement and was very disappointed by the food. It was very oily and salty the naan was very crispy. Phoned them to tell them about the food and i dont think the guy understood me as he said thank you and bye.

Firstly I have been a customer of curry master for a long time , and previously couldn't speak highly enough of them , but something has changed, maybe the chef has moved on , but tonight is the last time I will order from curry master , my previous order wasn't up to the usual standard, and missing a few items . I just presumed they were having an off night , as they were always so good prior. However tonight was awful , the sauce of my dish was basically all cooking oil , and inedible , I wouldn't and didn't feed it too my dog . I am hungry and disappointedly , oh and although they brought the items that they missed from previous order, they charged me for the recompense , So disappointed.....

They sell excellent take away Indian food

2nd time ordering from here in two weeks. First time delivery was over 2 hours from placing an order, I always give people a 2nd chance but they failed me again. 2nd delivery so far has taken 2.5 hours and I'm still waiting, I phoned the restaurant up 35 mins ago and the guy said it is out for delivery and will be there within 10 mins, 35 mins later I'm still waiting. Very disappointed. Not ordering from here again, I would rather eat Chinese and I don't like Chinese food!!

Wow! Ordered from here for the time after trying nearly every Indian in the area and this place is by far the best curry house I’ve ordered from. The food was so tasty, not greasy and good portions. Staff wee extremely friendly and didn’t need to keep repeating myself. Will definitely be ordering from here again.

Very enjoyable, only wish I had ordered more

We have always loved curry master. But tonight did disappoint. Food was warm, not hot at all. Meat didn't taste so fresh and the vegetable curry for the biryani was left out. Will try a new curry house for the first time in well over 5 years

Food turned up was 20 minutes later than the expected time which was given and missing the bottle of drink phoned the restaurant and was assured that it would be with me soon that was twenty minutes ago food is always nice from here but would expect that if you've made a mistake to quickly rectify it

Would be nice if they threw in the odd popadom or twi like the Chinese takeaway throw in the prawn crackers

Have been ordering the same order for over a year, started out great but gradually getting worse and worse. Tonight it didn't even taste like a Pasanda, very floral and spicy! Won't be ordering again, unsure if new owners or new chef but not good anymore...

Food took 2 hours to arrive, with no apology from the restaurant, they're sending the drivers on ridiculous routes and making them late, won't be using them again for a while.

when phoning the establishment and explains it's late. the man on phone couldn't seem to care and said " yeah we are busy So it will be there "

The food was simple and fresh just like we wanted. ordered tadka daal and bhindi, not spicy and not oily I loved it. But there was no salt in daal and the delivery time was gived 50 mins after we ordered which I felt was too much as the restaurant is just across the street, once a rest owner told me that they give less priority to just eat orders and would be much quick if we order directly, such a shame.

Late and didn't get my full order

Ordered a special biryani and chicken shaslik. Food was delivered early but needed to be re-heated which was somewhat poor as they're relatively close to me. The veg curry was only half full, so again a bit disappointing. That aside the main meals (once re-heated) were excellent which is how our food is usually delivered from this takeaway. Hot and full portions next time please

Originally the restaurant added 10 minutes extra and then they were another 15 minutes late and we had to call them to chase. Food was cold, poppadoms were stale and not impressed with meal or service at all. Will never use again

Not normally a problem but our order was expected at 8pm but turned up 35mins late... food was luke warm but still the best tasting Indian around 👍🏻

My boyfriend and I ordered a take away bank holiday Monday. Food took around 50 mins to arrive and when it did it was hot and full of flavour. I had one of the specials and my bf had the Madras, both excellent. We have tried several Indians in the area and this has certainly been the tastiest. We will certainly order from here again.

I order from Curry Master a lot, the food in general is great though this time I was a bit disappointed. Having ordered the food around 19:50, it was given a delivery time if 20:45 which was fine. Instead, it turned up at 21:30. The naans were the wrong ones and we were missing the poppadom. By this time it wasn't even worth phoning up to correct the order. Still, the quality is usually great as other reviews will show.

Decent curry, could have been warmer and chicken a bit dry

Very pleased as it was a large order (8 people-23 items) and all delivered - well done. Food was good and delivered pretty much on time (we'd ordered earlier in the day). Got a phone call from restaurant to confirm the time we wanted it. Good service will definitely use again. Recommended.

I ordered our meal on the way home from the airport, for 7.30, making sure we had enough time to get home, we pulled up at 6.30 and our meal was there, and it was cold will not be doing that again

Ordered 4 times now from this restaurant. 10/10 for the first three times but tonight some of the food was not up to usual standards. Onion Bhajis were obviously old. Chicken was uncooked in curry so we didn't risk it. Shame as it's usually lovely.

Food took over an hour to . Rice was wet and flavourless. naan was cold.

Was 40 mins later that delivery time, when phoned, person on the phone didn't even let me finish my sentence before saying "it's probably left...will be there soon"

Waited 1 hour for delivery after agreed time. Phoned shop after half hour to be told it had just left but still had to wait a further half hour for it to turn up. No apology for delay from driver and food just warm when received. Not acceptable will order from a different curry shop next time as very dissapointing.

The food was lovely, but we didn't get all of our order the Bombay potatoes were missing, I tried ringing but was engaged all the time, so we gave up in the end, we enjoyed what we had and will still use them

The food was an hour late, it was cold and was not tasty at all. The response from just eat was terrible as the customer service advisor said it's down to the restaurant to let me know if it's late however I ordered my food through yourselves and you should have confirmed there was an issue. Or at least act like you were bothered when I reported the issue. I won't be ordered from just eat anytime in the near future

We won't go anywhere else as the food is always nice, fresh and we know what we're getting. The staff are always helpful and friendly and we've never had to wait for more than 40 minutes to have our food - in fact most times they turn up earlier than expected!

The meal was good and arrived on time. Everything was included which can be a little surprising as it was a large order ( for nine people) so well done. I was a little disappointed that they phoned me for a deposit as I'd used them several times before. Apart from that it was very good.

Food would have been nice if was warm, I requested order to be delivered at 8.30pm, confirmed by restaurant for 8.40pm as my friend was arriving at that time and was delivered around 7.40, so good was cold by the time my friend arrived. Delivery lady was lovely, showed her confirmations and she apologised but not her fault, poor time management f the restaurant!

What can I say..used to be really nice but this order was not only over an hour late the food was nearly cold and they gave me the wrong curry..no naam bread as oredered , phoned them up only to be told. Sorry...and that could have gave bread anyway but didn't even offer to refund the extra...wont be ordering here again.dreadful service

Showed up two hours late. Was swore at by the delivery driver on my doorstep because the food was cold, late and I turned it away. Ordered from this place a few times and it's always late. This time I pre ordered for a delivery time (1 and a half hours before I wanted it) still manages to be two hours late!

Delivered over 40mins late. They were very apologetic when I called to chase the delivery (there had been a delay in the restaurant), but some proactive communication would have been appreciated. Our last few orders from Curry Master were not on time, I think this is because of being busy - because the food is great!

Great food. Sometimes forgetful on the order and can driver later than normal
