Have to say I don't think I've ever had a disappointing meal from this fine establishment. Tried them on my journey home once from Essex to central London and have actually moved locally and glad I have as this is our weekly family treat. Food is top quality and just packed full of flavour credit to the chef for the jalfreizi and tikka masala. Perfect food, perfect service and very reasonably priced in my opinion. Definitley recommend to all to try them!

Received a phonecall from this establishment stating they were calling from O2. I'm with another network. I said this has nothing to do with the O2 account I don't have and I am with a different network and my phone states they are calling from Feast of Bengal! The person on the phone started shouting abuse at me using some incredibly yet unimaginative language! Would avoid at all costs. The call centre is subpar! Food might be alright.

Really disappointing meal tonight. Bought tikka masala and a tikka side, paid 18 pounds and got nothing but hard and chewy chicken, which ended up in the bin. Won't be going back anytime soon

Been going here since it opened some thirty years ago. Have never had an occasion to fault the food. Initially we used to always eat in and as the years went on (kids came along) went on to order takeaways. Saw the sad result of the fire ten years ago, despite that set back and then COVID it’s lovely to see it still going strong. Since the fire the decor is now modern rather than the old traditional Indian decor, but a little too stark, a few pictures on the walls would be nice. Takeaways appear to be the core business nowadays. If you’re not getting a delivery and need to collect there’s plenty of parking and you can pick up drinks in the Tesco Express on the same parade of shops. Our visit last week was as usual faultless. If you haven’t been yet, try it as it’s a hidden gem that has survived the test of time.

Had a takeaway tonight for the first time from Feast Of Bengal and can safely say we won't be returning. We ordered on Deliveroo and it said 50mins... 1hr 15mins later the food arrived. My curry had leaked in the bag and into the other dishes and when putting it on to the plate we saw there was a round piece of plastic in my curry. Chicken was slightly dry and not overly flavoursome.

The Balti was far too spicy and not like any other Balti I’ve had before and indeed had there before which were nice. I always think feedback is good but when they asked if everything was ok and I told them, their attitude became noticeably less friendly. As our friends paid the bill, I asked if they could keep the itemized bill and they refused saying that they could detach the total from the bottom and we could take that. We will not return there.

Have only ordered a takeaway via Deliveroo however it’s our new favourite! Can’t beat the taste and we’ve enjoyed our meal every time! Sometimes delivery time is a little longer however it’s worth the wait! The other night it was estimated 1 hour wait and it was only 40 mins . Looking forward to dining in soon.

We’ve been ‘Feast’ customers ever since it opened years and years ago, and Barri is still at the helm. Always good quality and last week was no exception. I’m still not fully covid vaccinated, so it was a take-away for two. We perused the extensive menu and finally settled on four papadoms and dips, and two onion bhajees to start, then a chicken korma and a prawn korai accompanied by a pilau rice and a couple of roti breads for the mains. A grand total of £31. There was enough left for a substantial dinner for yours truly the next day.

Order a takeaway from here and you spend more time waiting than eating!. The orders are always ready half an hour or more after the time given. There is no room to wait so it is a very uncomfortable experience. Then when you get home something is missing. When it is the onion Baji you just eat it and enjoy the meal less. When it is a tandoori mixed grill you have to go back for it or someone will go hungry! No cash back - just a sorry we were busy tonight. Just not worth the hassle! We will take our custom elsewhere.

I visited Feast of Bengal for the first time just a few months ago now and have been going ever since. I first heard of it when it was delightfully recommended to me by one of my acquaintances. After researching it for a while, I realised it was very local and seemed to be a nice and cosy restaurant of GREAT Indian style cuisine. A few days later, I visited it for tea with my wife and acquaintance who earlier informed me of it. I cannot even begin to describe how scrumptious the food was and at such a reasonable price. The staff were awfully kind and treated us with such etiquette, even the way they brought the food was in such an authentic, gentle manor. Since that very day, I have been "FEASTING" there almost every week. In conclusion, I recommend this to anyone who enjoys delicious food and caring service.

I stayed at this hotel a couple of years ago and we had superior rooms in the annexe, which were delightful. This time I booked two “Feature Suites” and we were allocated two Four-Poster Suites in the main house. These were both spacious, light and airy rooms with lovely views over the River Severn and, in the case of the corner room, also Worcester Cathedral. Diglis House is probably the nicest “City” hotel you could imagine, with it's quiet riverside location which completely bellies it's proximity to the centre of Worcester. The Conservatory restaurant is lovely to eat in, cosy in the evening and light and refreshing in the morning at breakfast time. The food and service were excellent, with a good choice of dishes in the evening and freshly cooked breakfasts, no queueing for trays of dried up food lying under hot lamps. The bar was well stocked with the bar itself and two separate lounges for guests to relax in. As this is a listed building, there is no lift in the main house to the 1st floor, but the stairs are fairly wide and not steeply pitched. This did seem to be a “Dog friendly” hotel, so bear that in mind if you are not canine-orientated. I would highly recommend this hotel in all respects for leisure or business and hope to return again later this year,

We thought we would give this place a try because it's quite local to us, appeared to have decent reviews on Google and we were able to use our taste card. The deal was a free main meal with the purchase of any other main meal. We booked ahead, although on arrival there was only one other table being used. Despite this, we found the service to be a bit slow and had to ask for our order to be taken twice. We didn't feel particularly welcome and the waiter did not seem too happy about me ordering a coke instead of alcohol. We had poppadoms and dips before our meal arrived and these were fine, but unfortunately my pint of diet coke was completely flat. I ordered some lamb chops as a starter and my wife ordered the onion bhajis. The bhajis were perfectly fine, but the lamb chops were actually really small lamb steaks and at £5.50, I would have expected better. For main I ordered the lamb pasanda and my wife ordered a chicken dish that came with rice, so I ordered a separate rice for myself. At this point, we were both becoming increasingly annoyed about the amount of flies buzzing around the table, but its summer, so we didn't complain. The main dishes were below average. My lamb was tough and had a red tint to it and my wife had to ask for her rice, which wasn't brought to the table. We noted again how slow the service was considering the restaurant was almost empty. Overall, it wasn't a great meal, so we decided not to stay for dessert or coffees. When the bill arrived, the deduction for the taste card was only £5.10. I queried this as both main meals cost more than this, as did my starter. The owner explained that he had deducted the rice from my wife's main meal, because this was a bundle deal(?) and couldn't be used with the taste card. At this point, after a very mediocre meal, we decided not to press the matter. For the sake of the restaurant saving themselves £2.60 (my wife's main was actually £7.80) I can guarantee we will not be returning. In summary, food was not great, service was poor and the restaurant trying to cheat us out of such a small amount (we'd have happily tipped double this amount) just left a bad taste.

One of the best Indian Takeaways in Billericay (from an avid curry fan!). The slightly higher prices than one or two you may find in Billers definitely represents their higher quality; more seasoning and deeper tasting marinades;currys. The food arrives boiling hot every time. The naan bread is very hot and not hot-soggy like some other places that don't manage to cut the kitchen to front door time down.

The waiters are polite but the restaurant is fairly small with tables on top of each other and feels claustrophobic and hot especially with a lot of people waiting around for take aways. The curry is nothing special, the bhajis are fairly bland and there doesn't seem enough depth to the sauces, and the chicken tikka masala sauce is the brightest red I have ever seen a tikka and similarly the mint sauce served with the poppadoms was almost luminous glow in the dark green! It's true it has always been very busy on a Saturday evening, I don't know why, we waited over an hour for our meal, take aways took priority, but people waiting for take aways complained they had been waiting over an hour too. We have eaten here three or four times but I really don't think we will bother again.

Sweet, thick sticky sauce and full of currents - Too sickly to eat. Oh the lamb was tender, that was interesting. ,Chicken Jalfrezi..... Never seen anything like it... 30% chicken! 1% chillies, 69% slimy over cooked stodgy onions! all held together in a greasy and waters almost colourless sauce. Finally the Sag Aloo .... The top of it was completely dried up, a quick stir revealed a sticky together dried up offering, tasted ok, but would not leave my mouth.oh yes, two poppadoms, must have been cooked a couple of days ago, nice and soft, but they did have a little crunch. We called to complain & ask for it to be collected & the money for it refunded, the man on the phone refused & just offered us money off next time, we will never eat from here again & now after such a long wait my husband is going hungry on Saturday night. In our experience a very reliable Indian restaurant with a strong local following. Like most Indian/Chinese restaurants some dishes are better than others. On the whole however the dishes are jolly good. Keep in mind that Billericay has 4 other Indian sit down restaurants and 2/3 more takeaways and yet Feast of Bengal is always very busy- tells its own story I think. The Chicken Dansak it one of the best dishes thay do as is the vegetable Samba. All the basic curries Korma, Madras, Ceylon , Vindaloo are fine and the Naga Curries tastefully hot without being over the top.The Baltis'and Korais' and fragrant and tasty. Maybe romfordgirl should stick to Romford restaurants :-). For the record I eat at Michelin star restaurants, am a good cook with an excellent palate and if a restaurant served bad food I would flag it up and not go there again. However Feast of Bengal Offers very acceptable Indian food and very reasonable prices. I agree that serveice can slow down when they are busy but still recommend you to go along and judge for yourself.

Been here several times over the years, and to be honest the food is always pretty decent, bit on the slow side especially when ordering takeaway, but can't say have ever had a meal that I didn't like. Would recomend!

A pleasant and well run restaurant but curries could have more depth in the spice content - rather stewy Why doesn't this restaurant offer curries as their mother's cook them?

We have had eat ins and takeaways from the feast for years and it is always lovely. Sat eves are very busy for takeaway deliveries so get your orders in early! Competitively priced (lots of indian restaurants in Billericay) and consistently good.

The food was below average for an indian resturant and bland, not to mention quite exspensive.

Great food. Nice and hot good quality. Pizzas are good for midweek treat. All freshly made why you wait. Would recommend to you.
