Curry Counter in Bradford

Went in and picked the currys that I wanted. Was told cash only, even though the card machine was next to the till which i pointed out. Lady on the till said its messed up and to go cash point round the corner, but it was out of order. Came back to the shop and said out of order, then randomly the lady said to try the card machine as it may work some how, so I questioned this and said why didnt we try first before i had to go to widrawl cash in the first place? Then, some guy in the black shirt said to just try the card machine and see if it would work, but i refused. I asked them why they were lying initially about the card machine, to which they said management told them to lie to customers saying its cash only. Wonder what they are trying to hide by doing cash only? Also, is their food really fresh, or is that another lie management told them to tell people?

Had the lamb on the bone a naan and some fish pakora everything was amazing.

Food tasted ok but wasn’t impressed when the girl handled my cash then grabbed my chapatis without washing hands , also please clean the door handle it’s filthy noticed that past 3 times .

I’ve previously ordered and the food was perfect however this time a number of the items were cold.

Consistently great tasting food every time. One of the very few places we get takeaway, very authentic like home cooked.

Drivers never deliver to my door they always call me to come down stairs to communal door as a disabled person. Do i not pay for door service to my flat number 9 ? This has been an ongoing issue with just eat delivery drivers

Poppadoms tasted of fish which was a really bad experience and put my off as I'm vegan

I ordered chicken tikka masala, but received load a crappie tikka masala. chips was OK. not recommended

The curry was very watery and tasteless didn’t enjoy it at all I’ve always ordered from curry counter but if there gonna be like that from now on I guess I won’t be ordering again

Arrived cold, when I tracked him he was going the opposite way. He collected another order from another restaurant before dropping mine off.

we ordered keema patathas and zarda from here last week. and was pleasantly surprised how nice the food was. so we couldn't decide on tea so decided we would get same again. so we were sent a paratha with seekh kebab in the middle which none of us like and the amount of grease it was abs disgusting it's all gone in the bin. if you haven't got keema ring the customer don't just put some thing else in.

I went in last Friday to treat my family to curry evening and ended up spending 46.00 pounds. To my shock horror the the food was hot (gunpowder hot) and ended up putting in the bin . So instead of putting on a review I went to the shop and explained to an idoit manager in a black shirt on how I felt about my food. To my amazement he said I should have brought it back how could I as I live in Halifax. He then went on to say the chiefs have been there a number of years and cater for certain individuals I said how can you say that as you should be serving to a wider audience. I did make a suggestion maybe to put signs on the the tubs marking the strengths of the curries to this the manager said they make to a set recipe. I wasn't happy with remark.He then said go telephone my boss on Leeds Road and we can both explain. I was so disgusted by that remark and walk out of the shop.I wasn't after a refund but was hoping to be compensated in some starters nothing was suggested. What is the point of having manager in a shop that gives I don't care attitude and bad customer service. I will never go again.

First & last time I will be ordering. Garlic chicken tikka has never seen tikka or garlic, bland, 5 massive pieces of chicken swimming in gravy. Not appealing at all

I'm a disabled person and I always have to come down to the main entrance if my complex. I don't mind tipping the driver but to have to walk down to main entrance to receive order seems unfair for both able-bodied and disabled as I do believe we are paying for door to door delivery ?

For a large brand in Bradford curry dishes have to be good, abs salt the food was not, my curry was like meat in spicy gravy and very Runny, my partner threw hers in the bin. On a plus the chapatis, onion relish and raita were very good. The sides great but the main course poor. Staff were very friendly and good service but it's about the food which was not great by any means

food was flat cold as driver decided to driver 7 mile away from my house first before he delivered the food

Delivered has been delivered and it’s cancelled by delivery person and I was waiting almost 20 minutes he didn’t call back and I was not able to rich to delivery driver. I have not got delivered yet. I want refund my money.

Absolutely shocking service!!! I have yet again had my foot pinched by the delivery driver! Claiming to have delivered it. This is the third time now so will NOT be using this shocking service gains and would advise against anyone else using them as well!!!

Although food was nice portion was small. What I was disappointed about was the delivery, I live in an apartment block & courier refused to enter building, claiming he was not allowed to (against policy). I immediately contacted restaurant who claimed courier service was arranged through Just Eat, not them. Am awaiting to hear back from Just Eat as when ordered food from other restaurants food was delivered right to my door.

Portion sizes have definitely got smaller. We’ve been coming here for years and now I feel I’ve been ripped off.

We thought there would be some sort of advantage of buying from here over getting a meal from a normal style take away, but the cost was slightly more if anything the portion size was small and the Rogan Josh was the worst one we had ever eaten, and was so salty it made my lips go numb, so in the bin it went.

Never had a bad take away from here , always nice!

Chef deserves credit absolutely beautiful food

Gave us less roti than we ordered, rang in and not a good response couldn’t deliver the rest of the roti when it was their fault and I had paid for it. No salad or sauces with the food. Disappointed with service.

Love this shop but sometimes the food is really cold when it’s delivered which completely ruins it. It’s really hit and miss, Curry is lovely though.

My issue is I pay for a delivery and the driver says he cannot come into my apartment block well if that's the case it should be stated before we order as I'm paying for a service I'm not obviously receiving and will look elsewhere!

Never received order he phe phoned because no one answered iiv moved told him I spoke to curry counter my new address was 1 minute away he said he will drop at end of shift never saw him or curry he had the cheek to mark as delivered told you 3 xs but no one replied to me..

Used this takeaway several times and had no issues but lately the curry is full or indeed swimming in ghee so I'm afraid will have look elsewhere for my treat.

Second time coming here today first time was great and enjoyed the food with my partner. Went today and it was a disgrace. Ordered and was overcharged by £4 menu showed one price they charged me something else. Naan advertised at £3 charged £3.5 somosas advertised at 55/65p each charged £1.25. Along with service charge which wasn’t disclosed. And the mango lassi was soo strong. I went after my meal and requested a receipt from the lady at the front regarding the issues I had. No apology no understanding just a blunt I will forward after I requested a supervisors details. No customer service skills and acknowledgment of her mistake of overcharging and not disclosing charges. Disappointed considering I really enjoyed the first time.

I ordered a chicken garlic tikka with sides. It’s like warm and has zero flavour. What is meant to be a chicken garlic tikka is like plain chicken breast put in some flavourless orange soup and oil. I’m so disappointed and will not be ordering here again. I can’t finish my dinner. The only edible part of it was the chips and even they’re burnt.

Absolutely tasteless curry’s, all taste salty for some reason. All generic curry’s, just awfull full of ghee/ oil. Really poor and very small portions for the money. Just don’t bother, really disappointed. A lot of the food just sat in the cooler from days before…. Really not good food at all for the money!!

Chapel kebab was spot on ,meat samosa was a good size and tasty. Had keema n peas was nice and spicy. Will definitely be ordering from here again .

We would love to review the food but we didn't receive our order, not the restaurants fault though.

Tried this place on a whim last night, I wasn’t disappointed. Delicious high quality food at affordable prices. My chicken spinach was amazing. The starters were also perfectly made and not drenched in grease like some takeaway places. I will be buying my curries here from now on 😃⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A good spot with a wide variety

Really sad to give this review normally a 3ish for the hygiene being poor no hand washing, using phones, blowing on food too cool…. but it’s reheated by me so accepted that! prices have massively increased and again I could accept that with the current situation but why third the potions too!? Long time customer since the day you opened, now I’m out! Sadly it won’t let me add disappointing pictures

The curry was very greasey, it didn't come with any sauces and was overall very spicy so I found it quite difficult to eat

Delivery time was fast, but no good when the mains were cold

Called in for the first time and picked up 2 seekh kebabs, 2 cheese naans and a pot of spicy mint sauce. Naans were made fresh in store while I waited. The only thing the store lacks is clear heating instructions as all they said was microwave the kebabs. I decided to air fry the kebabs after looking up recommended cooking times on Google and re-heated the naans in the oven with a splash of water. BOTH were absolutely amazing and better than a lot of takeaways! I will definitely be returning and ordering again. Delicious. 😋

Defo recommend had chicken balti rice n salad, big plate so much choice more than 10 out of 10. A must try for any curry fan. Great service friendly staff.

The last delivery guy said he wasn't insured to come upstairs so as a disabled customer I went downstairs to meet the driver and didn t carry a tip as I assumed that was the just eat policy. Turns out the delivery guy was prepared to walk up my five steps to deliver door to door as I assumed I was being charged for 🙄

Driver made me come outside my flat to the door as he said you don't allow him to come inside to deliver to my door as he's not insured so as a disabled customer I won't be using just eat again if this is the case. Thankyou .

Found prices of currys not be not far off a restaurant prices but I'll be fair the quality was was above over 70 percent of restaurants around the areas , rice and assortments were cheap and again high quality, first time today and I'll 100 percent be back

Overly spiced with chilli, korma and pilau rice far too hot. Only food with no chilli were the chapattis, not up to their usual standard
