Excellent takeaway. Best Jalfrezi I’ve ever had, hot and sour and very tasty. Onion Bhajis nice and crisp. Vegetable curry loads of flavour fresh veg, not the usual slop of grease and frozen Iceland veg. So glad we have found a decent takeaway after many disappointments during Covid

I have been ordering takeaways from The Curry Cottage Swindon for many years and have to say that the quality of food and service has always been nothing short of exceptional. The Indian cuisine is delicious and the portions are generous - The Chef there is top notch without a shadow of a doubt. I enjoyed a takeaway delivery from there only last week - I think I am going to order another one this evening actually - I cant resist it. The Lamb Jalfrezi and Garlic Chilli Chicken is of the highest quality. I must recommend this establishment to all Indian food lovers - You will not be disappointed.

I cannot say enough good things about this place. Really tasty curry delivered really quick at a fantastic price. Staff are all friendly and very helpful, if your not sure about a dish they will explain it to you so you know exactly what your getting. Ordered myself a take away curry from curry cottage, the quality of the food has certainly changed since the last time I used this place, gone are the days of the chef competing in any cooking competitions, and if my memory serves me well, getting a runners up prize, the food was very bland, and poor quality, and not what I would expect, with so much competition in Swindon.

The Curry Cottage is easily my favorite take-away of choice. Even an awkward daughter who dislikes coriander, is no problem for the staff who cook dishes to her liking, meaning a family curry night is stress free! Portion sizes are excellent, the taste is authentic and the staff make you feel valued. I wouldn't go elsewhere.

Curry cottage is by far the best local Indian takeaway. We order regularly and find the food to be of great quality, plenty of flavour with our favourite main dish being Dansak, always delicious. Staff are very friendly and dedicated to providing a high quality freshly cooked meal.

One of the better Indian restaraunts in town, yet to have a bad meal, sometimes the delivery times are way out of estimate though, but apart from that, no complaints

The menu made bold claims about awards won. However the food was less than mediocre. No real flavour and the chicken tasted dry. Not succulent in the slightest. It actually took us effort to eat our meal. We shan't be going back.

Service always great, food arrives when stated and of a high quality. It's the best curry in town. We've been ordering since moving back to Swindon 4 years ago and they have never let us down. 5 Stars all around. Well done!

Sorry I have to say this but after being a customer of this (was a Great) take away the standards and quality has collapsed, they used to have a great restaurant in old town (which is now closed) due to the elder brother who managed it becoming radicalized and refused to serve alcohol this now appears to have affected the quality of the food at Curry cottage as he now works/manages there. Find another takeaway !!!

It was the mother in laws birthday and they visited us from Didcot.

We have been customers of Curry Cottage for at least 3 years on the whole in the past it has been a reasonable Indian meal, not the best value for money but normally edible have tried others in town but always returned, occasionally not great however tonight well don't know what's going on. The food arrived in excellent time and hot and that's where the positives end! The rice and vegetables drenched in salt. Now I like salty food but even for me it was ruined. The chicken Korma - chicken very undercooked and sauce tasteless with tons of desiccated coconut and not at all creamy. lamb rogan gosht - well I've got leather dm's that are softer than than the meat I was served, cheap cut of meat that I wouldn't even serve to my dogs! Wouldn't even cut with a knife, the accompanying sauce well nothing like how it's meant to be didn't resemble a usual Rogan. I phoned to speak to the manager and he said that the head chef was in tonight and couldn't understand why I was complaining! He did offer to replace our meals but by this time he said it would be yet another 45 minute wait. With 2 kids to feed that I couldn't even palm off with rice totally disgusted! He offered to do our meals at a different time but I definitely wouldn't have another meal from there the best he could offer was half of my money back with an empty stomach to boot!

I ordered a chicken tikka starter, Lamb Madras and plain naan.The starter was well below standard and as for the main, that was by far the most non madras meal I have ever seen or tried to eat. It was so disappointing, tasteless and the very cheap cut od meet was not cooked properly and was in a liquid which I cannot describe, but it was not a sauce.The owners need to seriously re-think what their future business aspirations should be, because it isn't in takeaway Indian food.

We ordered for delivery from a special meal deal on the menu. The food arrived within the specified time and the starters - 1 mixed kebab and 1 Rashmi Kebab with tasty and the meat fairly tender. My husband had a lamb tikka naga and mushroom rice which he enjoyed. I had a lamb biriani which was the worst curry dish I have had anywhere! The rice had a very fragrant floral flavour and very few tiny pieces of lamb, the vegetable curry that came with it was almost tasteless except the cabbage that made up most of the curry (along with a few carrots). Neither me nor my husband could eat it, it wasn't like any biryani I have ever had before especially the cabbage curry and wouldn't wish to experience it again! The meal deal offers great value but we would not order again

Spent over £50 on a take away that I picked up, when we got it home we ate straight away and it was all luke warm. The chicken tikka masalla was as bland as the korma the peshwari nan was soggy and tasteless and the rice well dont get me started. The address on here is wrong it is in Swindon not Dudley. Tried to ring them to complain but no answer!!!!

We used the curry cottage app to buy s takeaway. Ordering was easy and payment by card available (with a 73p surcharge on debit card - naughty!). The food arrived exactly on time and piping hot. The £16.95 meal deal is incredible value and allows you to choose exactly what you want. The food we had was amazing - Garlic chilli chicken - tasty and with plenty of meat. Lamb pasanda not too sweet. Sundries spot on. We always say you can judge an Indian chef by his tarka daal and this was easily the best we've ever had. First rate service, value and quality - curry cottage takes the lead!

When I rang them up after an hour we had a extremely rude guy on the other line who didn't let me finish and just said yes yes curry on the way and hung up. Never. Again.

Ordered 2 chicken curries. Both average in flavour and the chicken was so dry and tough it was like eating overcooked turkey. Wouldn't order from there again as it's a million miles away from the standard and quality at sinbad tandoori which is also in rodbourne. Dissappointed but you have to try new places every so often.

the curry sauce for the curry lamb but hardly any meat compared to the korma. the lamb curry was all sauce.keema nan undercooked.

Only place I will order from and when the mess up I will state so but for now great stuff keep it up !

Quality of the food is always amazing.

Worst 'special' we have ever ordered. The food although warm was portioned for children and had little to no meat in it. The Vindaloo had 2 bits of meat and a LARGE potato, the madras had less and the meat samosa's had no taste at all

Man told me off on arrival for not having my phone on and making him late. And the lamb curry was all fat and overall very dissapointing.. definatly wont order again after the customer service i recieved.

We ordered the set meal offer which is £15.95 for poppadoms, mint sauce, one rice, one bread, two mains and a side dish. The food arrived after 45 minutes and was really lovely - we had a pathia, a dansak and bombay potatoes which I ordered hot and were spicy but not blow your head off. I really enjoyed this meal - the dansak was lovely with the lentils and the peshwari naan was also really nice. I highly recommend this place.
